[Music] good evening and welcome to Jerusalem welcome to the finger House jaha Nova come on over here now his manager we finally made it yes after years of planning and into thinking and building we are here to enjoy this magnificent home and invite you please join us for a tour of this great facility this magnificent facility will house feels as severely and physically handicapped those suffering from MS multiple sclerosis and or CP to be a home for them a place not only that they will survive but actually they will thrive [Music] the original building was built in the mid to late 1800s it was this section here you see the stones are different right along this line this is the original building in the early 1930s the original building was bought by the Iraqi woman's organization reshot Mizrahi it served as a girl school baked CDOT Mustafi one of the construction workers told us a few weeks ago an elderly woman stopped by the building was a great-grandchildren she's a Holocaust survivor she came to Israel soon after the war alone her parents and the whole family perished in the Holocaust she lived her first years in this school in this building so this building has a history of protecting the most vulnerable with time the school moved and the building sat empty and in disrepair [Applause] after a long time looking we discovered this gem we found this location to be perfect for a home for these young people who suffer from MS and other neurological disorders over the past three years we completely dreaded the building and we go to the inside almost from scratch maintaining the historic nature of the building but turning it into a modern facility every step of the transformation was overseen by Israel's Antiquities Authority [Music] the architect of the facility is the famous maha-mantra one of business leading architects among his landmark works is the classic building and the Hurva synagogue in the old city the primary purpose of this residence is to provide a lifetime solution to both the victims of these neurological diseases and for their families tragically the challenges of caring at home for such patients has proven insurmountable and in most cases has literally destroyed families base feed your residents will be a place of happiness a place of warmth patients will thrive and the families will be motivated and enjoy to visit as often as they can housings classes psychotherapy physiotherapy holiday celebrations are the cultural therapy art ceramics and of course three delicious meals are served we cut no corners and we spared no expense or effort in our commitment to each of the residents living in this home this by design is a happy place where the patients enjoy maximum quality of life and feel that they have in your place I'm very excited as fellows about embarks on this new venture which would be a beacon of light and a sample home for those great human beings who although are physically limited but have incredible spirit and energy you
