is mayor Leninstein and I am involved with the Axala administration a little bit. I've been a member of Aella for almost 35 years. I was my introduction public life and it's a real joy for us to be here today. So I want to acknowledge our senator assemblyman our sheriff. We have members of the Howell Police Department, Fire Department, EMS here with us as well as members of Hatsola and thank all of you for coming out here and working with us together. We greatly appreciate it. Matala is an agency that started about a little over 40 years ago, a couple of calls a week. We're now at about 25,000 calls a year. I believe over the past year we did about 560 calls in Howl. Our goal is to be here to work hand in hand with the sheriff's 911 system with the Howell system and do what we can to assist to be here. We know that as the constituency that would call continues to grow in surrounding towns, we don't expect other people to carry the whole burden and we want to be here to be partners and assistance. So, thank you all for coming. With that, I would like to ask the CEO of Alias to please come up. Thank you very much. Good morning everyone. On behalf of Central Jersey, thank you all for joining us today as we close the service very first dedicated to our country. I want to begin by recognizing and thanking the public officials, public safety leaders, and community members who are here with us today. To those who serve at the state level, county level, township level, and on the front lines of police, fire, EMS, and first aid, the presence reflects a shared commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the residents of How. I also want to thank our gracious hosts here at the fishing line who opened their space to us and generously sponsored the food for today's event. We are very grateful for their friendship and support. Today is not just about adding another ambulance. It is about strengthening readiness and making sure that our volunteers have the tools they need to serve this growing community responsibly. Every community depends on a strong emergency response network. Police, fire, municipal EMS, first aid squads, dispatchers, hospitals, volunteer responders, and community organizations each play an important role. Hatello is grateful to be part of that broader public safety system and we deeply respect the work being done every day by Howell Township and by the local agencies who serve this community. This ambulance allows our hallow members to respond with greater readiness and reliability. Our members are volunteers. They are neighbors. They leave their homes, their families, their work, and their daily lives to help others in moments of need. Giving them a dedicated ambulance here in Howell is an important and practical step forward. I want to especially recognize Assemblyman Abishnal and his state partners for their help in securing the state grant that made this ambulance possible. That kind of partnership matters. When state government, local leadership, public safety agencies, volunteers, donors, and community partners work together. The result is something important and meaningful. In this case, the result is an ambulance that is ready to serve. Our goal is simple. To be a constructive partner, to add capacity, and to help ensure that residents receive compassionate and timely care when it matters most. Our hope and prayer is that no one should ever need this ambulance, but if they do, it will be here, dedicated to Howell, equipped with service, and staffed by committed volunteers ready to answer the call. May this ambulance be used only for good and may it bring safety, healing, and peace of mind to the entire Howell community. Thank you. I know we're all standing out in the sun and there's refreshments out here. We're going to do this as quickly as we can. Um I know that Senator Singer is here and wants to present the resolutions. Senator Singer, just >> just two things. I have to say one thing first. Um that Uh, Mayor Likenstein is truly a hot seller member. I can tell you I was sitting on the governing body with him one night when a gadfly Illinois gadfly come to the meeting and always uh give a lot of props to the governing body uh suddenly had a seizure and I saw believe it or not Mayor Line hop over the entire DES and perform his wonderful work as he noticed as a hot seller member. So I've seen him in action. He he's terrific. Obby I heard that. And and I want to thank Obby as a good partner with with himself and Sean Keane in in uh in the legislature. We worked together on everything and and again I remember before we had Hotella in Lakewood when I was on the governor body and the change that Hotella has made in Lakewood and the surrounding community and the and the proudness is of the fact that they're paramedics. What a wonderful thing that they are upgraded to the finest and I can tell you right now they service the entire community. They do a fabulous job and I can't say enough about them because they help out at Jackson. They help out at Greg Observer Howell and the entire community and very very honestly we're looking for them to help us take over the duplicate with the wonderful job that Sheriff Golden has done in Mammoth County with the EMS to talk about doing something in Ocean County and the lead group would be doing Sulliv. So it's our pleasure on that and behalf of Abby and come here. On behalf of Abby, Sean Kane and myself, we want to present this proclamation which is done by both the assembly and the senate and makes us a permanent record in the in the legislature so that we can look back and see what kind of wonderful groups we've honored and the legislators that were part of coming outside. And again, I want to recognize uh the emergency service partners that we are looking to work with right here, our police, fire, and EMS. It means a lot to us that you came and really means a lot to us that you're here and we look forward to continuing to work hand in hand with you. Like Abby said, it was a couple of years ago that I was actually able to hop over a day. Now I have to walk around. But with that, I'd like to ask to address this. >> Thank you. Good morning everybody. Um, just a few words. I know that in between me and the beautiful uh setup we have over here is whatever I'm going to say. So, I'm going to try to make this quick and not compete with the delicious fishing line spread. Um, number one is to the fire department. I got the hint. >> I I get it. You bought a fire truck. We're going to work on that next. I got it. Um, no promises, but we get it. I I just want to talk a little bit about the process. Yes, we have a fire a new hatal ambulance that's here to understand how this all happens. There's something in Trenton that's called budget resolutions that members of the legislature put in their resolutions. Last year in the budget, there were over $2.5 billion of budget resolution requests. Of that $2.5 billion dollars, I believe from the assembly side, just $400 million was actually allocated, which means there were a lot of asks, but only a quarter of the asks were actually given, which is a testament to the value and appreciation that the state has for the work that Hatsah does. And we had to say no to 75% of the requests, but to Hatalah, we said yes. And the reason is because at all is simple. Everyone understands it. They literally save lives. These are volunteers that sacrifice everything. Behind those volunteers are families, wives, children, parents, siblings that are also sacrificing anything and everything. When they get the call, they run. And we are so proud of the state and together with Senator Singer, Senator Morton, he wasn't able to be here today, but he is an equal partner in all the work that we do on behalf of the 30th district. A true true servant of the 30th district. We were able to go ahead and facilitate this grant for the Salah dedicated to the growing how community. And as Ellie said, we hope this new hat should only be used for happy reasons, for good things, and not for tragedies.
