Hey there, I'm Yasu Rice and welcome to
my home where the hustle and bustle of
shopping, cooking, and cleaning all week
is our way of preparing the cover
chabases. So when that special moment
arrives, we sit back, take a deep
breath, and say out loud,
ahm says shabas.
Everybody, here we are. Season four and
we have a special guest. Thank you.
Thank you. You guys already know who I
am. I know. It's fun. My son Ley. He's
the rockstar. Everybody knows him. He
was in the Circle Magazine and he was
talking about He's a real chef. He's the
real deal. So, we're going to prepare
for py a nice roast. This is going to be
your go-to roast for pisuk. Simple and
easy. Uh-oh. They have a problem. You
have to use oil for this a little bit.
But you can use canola oil for
py. Okay. Make believe it's sunflower.
Not sunflower.
What do you use for piso? What kind of
oil? Cotton seed oil. Cotton seed oil.
All right. It's supposed to be cotton
seed oil. It says that you could just go
like this. Yeah. Use some
oil. Get your pot nice and hot. Maybe I
have a job for you in a minute. Yeah.
You're going to have to go salt and
pepper. It's a huge hard job. Huge job.
I'll try not to fly. Let's figure it
first
try. It's going to take a second. It's
fine. You can sing still.
[Music]
I don't remember the high
[Music]
part. Oh, okay. My voice would have
cracked then probably. Ouch. That was
hot.
Beautiful. Lady and thank please. Thank
you. You're such a big helper. Put it in
the sink. Nice and easy.
Don't worry. You didn't crack last time
you did.
Going to add my
garlic. Lady now. Salt. Remember salt.
Now you got to do salt and
pepper. Mine's hard. Chad, go ahead.
Salt and
pepper. I got some. Oh boy. Very good.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy hard. I
really have to turn this around. This is
about 5 weeks.
I even know you didn't have something to
mix. So professional. Culinary school
taught me how to do salt and pepper, you
[Music]
know. Season four. We're going to focus
on simple recipes. It's going to be
easy. We're almost done. Chicky, give me
a second. I like to use a chuck eye
roast when I make rans. It slices nice
and very, very tasty and flavorful.
If you don't miss, you want to dice up a
tomato and throw it in. If you do miss,
you can use the crushed red tomatoes
from
Toscanini. A sandwich. There you go. I'm
going to put in a half a
[Music]
bottle. Nice. Von Herzog. Probably more
than a half a
bottle. Put it
back. Put it back right over there.
That's it. I'm going to give it a little
nick over
here. What I'm going to do now is put
this in the oven on
256 hours.
Ley, you have dropped to you. Oh, your
job is to open the oven, correct?
Culinary school. Okay,
Ley, do it again. All right. Well, that
that's going to be in the oven for the
next 6 hours. Um, I prepared one last
night. This is going to cook low and
slow. I take the hand immersion blender.
I
the So, this morning I took the hand
immersion blender. I ju it I hand
blended it. So, you'll see the sauce
when it's nicely blended. My roast is
cold. Otherwise, I can't slice it. So, I
had to put the roast in the fridge this
morning. And now, we took it out so I
can slice it in front of you. We can
taste it. And Ley's going to go
young. Okay. Excellent. Okay. Let's
clean up. Um,
action. Selfie. Ah, mid. M. What am I
supposed to
do? Here's my roast. Chilled
[Music]
overnight. Chilled. Like just Yeah, it's
a chill. Chill. Chill. No. We're chill.
Today's bookill. We got chill. Chill.
Got a fats, you know. Who made up the
word fats? Like most word fots. Just
stay chill. It's not a signature word. I
know it's not. Let's get the net
off. Okay.
Maybe you're ready. Oh yeah. Let's do
this. Slice this nicely. Look how
beautiful this slice.
[Music]
I'm excited about
this. I have this yummy gravy over here.
Yum. I want to do a little shmear of
this with this new Tuscanini tomato jam.
Tasted it. It was really, really good
with the jam. You like tomato jam? What
are you going to make? Like not a huge
fan tomato jam, but this one was really,
really good. How do you know what tomato
jam tastes like? I
know. Not supposed to say that.
And this is the way you want to pack it
away because then you can serve it and
it can stay in the oven for a long time.
So make believe this is in a 9 by13 pan.
This will give it a nice little smoky
yummy delicious flavor. And this is how
you want to pack it away. Kafa Levy.
Yeah. You ready for the fo meat? I love
it.
Here goes the
gravy. Now you can serve this a few
different ways. You can put this away in
the 9 by13 pan and gravy. I like to do
it this way. Bring out a little of a
small little crea and just go.
Oh my god. Smells so good. Maybe you
want to fix. Yeah, I'll cut myself. You
cut yourself. That's for sure. I won't
cut myself. I don't want a whole another
episode like happened by you over there.
I don't know if you guys remember. But
all right, let's go even room
temperature. There you go. It's
good. M. Not only that, maybe have
special time with you. Yes, I can have
grape juice on Shabas. Yes. Not on
Shabas. Don't drink too much cuz we need
some for Abdullah.
Don't drink up the grape juice. We need
it for Abdullah. Yes.
I want tami. I want tami. Don't get your
shirt dirty. Careful. Don't turn the cup
over. Cause it up. I'll do it quick
before. Oh, this looks good. The easiest
roast. It was actually really
good. I got stuff a couple of onions,
put in tomato, salt, pepper, some
wine. It was it
chill. Yum. Until next episode, this is
Ley Weiss. I'm Ley Weiss. I'm his
father.
have to
do for
that for watching.
I'm doing you shout out to my parents
and my sister for making this episode
happen. Oh yeah. And I was tell those
players like you shout out to my mom and
dad. Thank you for making this happen.
You know what they got? Get those
baseball players. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I'm the same celeb as them. So
fine.
Looking forward to serve you my new
restaurant in Lakewood. Raabas.
