So, let me make this all clear. Somehow, the Virgin Mary only goes to the Philippines and to Bonosaurus and to Rio and she never goes to Kuwait. I don't know why. So the question is um why do you think Jews or people who are like only Zerah Israel so to speak whose fathers only Jews uh why do you think it's illogical for them to think about Christianity if for instance they have had a experience in their life of doing cha like not not even going to church but doing cha and uh receiving the Holy Spirit how it's uh know was described in the New Testament in the upper room of Jerusalem with 12 apostles. When a person experiences that, isn't it only natural when he uh gets uh Bible to himself like maybe years later to find the revelation of outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament? That is my question. >> So let me explain this question. So in Acts chapter 2 we are told that the apostles receive the Holy Spirit on Pentecost which would mean shus and we're told explicitly in Acts chapter 2 that the disciples were there but they were accompanied by many people from foreign lands and there were flames of fire and moreover to demonstrate that they really possess the Holy Spirit. They were able to speak uh foreign languages. How could folks from the northern part of Israel be able to speak these languages from afar? And to be sure that you're totally convinced, there were people who exclaimed, "How is it, you know, that people from the the east, from Africa, from Arabia, how could these Galileans speak in these foreign languages?" Moreover, today people in the Christian religion and it depends what flavor it is because in for instance the Orthodox Church doesn't recognize the miracles that the Catholic Church does and the Catholic Church doesn't recognize the miracles of the Orthodox Church does and the Assemblies of God which is a Pentecostal denomination doesn't accept the Catholic miracles with Mary. And you could see the answer in all this because this is all a what's called a special pleading. It's a fallacy and it's an ad hoc fallacy. It's it's the most um it's the weakest form of claim. So first of all, you're you're suggesting that because the Christian Bible claims that a miracle occurred in Jerusalem in the upper room. your words means they were able they were actually able to speak foreign languages that they couldn't possibly have known. Well, as it turns out, there are Pentecostal Christians today, millions of them, who speak in tongues and have the Holy Spirit and they're able to speak in languages. The only difference between Acts chapter 2 and the Pentecostals today that fill the pews in assemblies of God churches all over the world is that in the book of Acts, we are told the author of the book of Acts who is also the author of the book of Luke that they were able to speak identifiable languages and as testified by people who are present. However, today when people are speaking in tongues and therefore they're called Pentecostals, why are they called Pentecostal Christians? Because they're replicating the miracle of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2. So, I have a very big question. How come today in Pentecostal churches, this is not an outlier odd group of snake handlers in the Appalachians. This is a big big movement incidentally can be found not only among Protestants there are although it's not the Catholics wouldn't consider it their denomination but there are many Catholics that claim this gift as well but why is it that when they speak in tongues today they speak complete gibberish why why can't they speak in the tongue in actual languages why can't somebody from Texas start speaking Japanese or Mandarin? Why don't they speak the languages that are found in India? Why are they speaking languages that are just complete nonsense? In fact, there's so many studies done on this a linguist could tell from the recording of someone speaking in tongues of what their native language is really like. And why is it that people in China uh the Holy Spirit that seizes them can't pronounce the letter L? Because or and in Hungary they can't pronounce the letter W. So the claim is on its face completely false. Moreover, if you say, "Well, I don't believe in the P Pentecostal movement uh currently, but I do believe in Acts chapter 2," which is what many Christians would say. I said, "Really?" So, because it says it in Acts chapter 2, therefore, you believe it. So, in the Quran, you have many, many miracles. For instance, Muhammad split a split the moon. Split the moon. So, why don't you become a Muslim? In fact, in Islam, the entire Quran is miraculous. After all, Muhammad, he was well, illiterate. He couldn't write. So, how did he come to write the Quran? That in itself is a miracle. Or uh Muhammad went on a a night journey from Mecca to a far off place. Muslims going to say that it's Jerusalem. It's not mentioned Jerusalem. It's fine. They think it's Jerusalem. and ela and then he went on an asception to the seventh heaven. How did he do that? I don't understand you. There's a hadith that water came from Muhammad's fingers. So why don't you become a Muslim? And you say well personal transformation that's how your question began. Which religion please tell me does not produce transformations among its followers? Mormons. The Mormon religion began in the 19th century. How if Joseph Smith was not a prophet, which it openly says in the Book of Mormon he was? I don't understand why you turn your back on. This is all special pleading. Like you mentioned you're in Siberia, right? So there you have the Orthodox Church is dominant. I'm not saying you cuz you didn't mention which denomination you belong to. But in Siberia, the Orthodox Church is dominant. Well, why doesn't the Orthodox Church recognize the miracles and Lords? Why not? Why? I mean, you're specifically saying that my life was changed. You think people who convert to Islam don't quit drugs or quit alcohol? I assure you they do because in the Quran it states explicitly is forbidden to engage in consumption of alcohol. You think people who convert to the church to the of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, meaning the Mormons, you think they're not transformed? Their regulations are even much more severe. They're not allowed to even consume coffee, caffeine, let alone alcohol, and all those things. The Book of Mormon has many, many miracles that Joseph Smith performed. If it's such so empirical and people become orthodox Christians, their lives are not changed. Women don't give up being prostitutes and they don't feel the Holy Ghost is seizing them. So what happens is people think my personal revelation is what matters. So I have something to tell you. And that is you don't um form doctrine based on your personal revelation. What do you need a Bible for? Why don't you just ask God what's the truth and whatever he says your subjective experience that's the truth and because you quit smoking and because you quit drinking and because you stop beating your wife and therefore that proves it's true that doesn't prove it's true that these personal transformations happen in every single religion and that's why the Tyra says don't add to it and don't take away from it Deuteronomy 4:2 we do not pray for doctrine ever. He'd never say to God, say to your God of your flavor, if this is true, show me. You're not a prophet. Now, you do pray for wisdom for sure. You pray to the God of Israel and you ask for insight and you recogn blessed be his name provides wisdom and understanding and then you look to Tanakh you look to the holy scriptures for what you believe not to anything else and we even find in Deuteronomy chapter 13 that if somebody come first says don't add to the Torah nor take it away and the Christians shove that to the end of chapter 12 I'm not kidding Then it says a dream of prophet or dream of dream comes to you and he shows you a sign a miracle or it tells you what's going to happen in the future and the sign of wonder which he said comes to pass. It happens. So I'm sardonic. The Torah is not so sardonic. The Torah says don't listen to that prophet or dream of dreams. The Torah does not say because it's all chicainery which I believe it's all fake and phony and so on. Now you'll ask me why in the ancient world in Tanakh idol worshippers were able to do miracles like pharaoh's magicians were able to. That's a good question. I don't want to go too far from our topic so I'm going to just leave that alone. But the Torah openly says, "And then that prophet or dreamer of dreams or your brother who is in your midst tells you, follow other gods your fathers didn't know. Don't keep the Torah." Do not listen to that prophet or dream of dreams. I didn't say him. Send him, sayeth the Lord. Please, I beg you, read Deuteronomy chapter 13. And if you're in Siberia, good luck. And you can use whatever Bible you want and look it up. It'll say that. And then the God says, "So how is it that false religions can produce miracles?" The Torah says, "I am only testing you to see if you love me." So you that you quit smoking does not mean that what you have is the truth. And let me just assure you that in all these religions, people are transformed. You have to look at Tanakh. And moreover, this issue comes up in Tanakh. It actually um as an example, give you a marshall uh Jeremiah. So Jeremiah had I was going to say had a problem. He had there was many problem many crises that confronted this holy man of God who lived here in Ushim. One problem was so Hanovi lived during the time of the emergence of the neoablonian empire meaning became king. Thus the Neoablonian Empire merged merged 19 years before the destruction of the first temple. Just want to give you a sense of this. The following year invades the land of Israel. He captures it and he will subsequently expel Jews from the land of Israel into BL in waves. Okay. Ultimately, as you know, the first town will be destroyed. 90% of the Jews living in the land of Israel were exiled to Bavl to let's say modern day Iraq, southern Mesopotamia and so on. 10% will make their way to Egypt. Doesn't matter. During this tremendous upheaval, the Jews who were in the land of Israel, there were people wanted to rebel against the Babylonian Empire. Not a good idea. Not a good idea if God is not with you. Guess what? There were Jews. You ever watch this on the news? As a Jew, whenever I hear as a Jew, I run for my life. As a Jew, I oppose. These people never went to a synagogue life. As a Jew, suddenly like this. All right. Anyway, there were people who were Jews who claimed that God was speaking to and through them. They claimed to be prophets and a bunch of fakers and frauds and phonies. And what did they they came as totally orthodox Jews, religious Jews. And what was their message? The message really was very simple and very believable. Their message was that the Jews who living in the land of Israel should take up arms and go to war with the with the Babylonian Empire. Could you imagine that? and and Yurio called them out as a bunch of fake liars. That word liar shakanim comes up more frequently. I'm I'm fairly confident of this that the word sheer comes up more frequently in the book of Jeremiah than any other book in Tanakh. pretty sure of this. I think the word liar sheer share probably comes up I don't know 36 37 times in Jeremiah and the word comes up in Tanakh I'm off but less than 120 times maybe 113 times so he'll come up a lot this is a big big issue what happens in Jeremiah 29 I just give you one little story the pe So there are people going around saying God spoke to me that's why you have that passage that people misinterpret in in Jeremiah chapter 8 where it says don't pay attention to the these books and what scribes they were this false writings these false teachings that says um Toros but it means teachings because they're corrupt so people go ah the Torah was corrupt totally not true, totally not true. It means that these false prophets were writing false pavlets, right? That they were writing their own books. They're false teachings. Doesn't mean a false Torah. Be careful. That's ripped out of context. It's very famously misqued. Blows my mind away. In any case, people come to Jeremiah and say that I were having dreams. These prophets who look like a regular Orthodox Jews were claimed that God spoke to them. They were lies and fakers and phonies and people gullible bought into it. Their lives were changed and they said to Jeremiah that were having dreams about this. And Jeremiah responds to them. Jeremiah 29:9 he says them stop paying attention to your dreams. You he says cause yourself to have these dreams. That means you you think about this these stupidity and these lies enough you eventually dream about it but you're causing these dreams to happen. You're chasing ghosts and shadows. You got it. So listen up kind you do not pray for doctrine and truth. You do not I know if you come from the church everyone's praying and the Lord revealed it to me and you sometime people tell me this who are Christian they tell it to me in their churches a big fight breaks out because one guy said we should go this another guy says that and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and the Holy Spirit spoke it's really a I'm going to just one caveat if you're a Christian don't be angry at me it's really I I want because I don't want to offend people. It's striking that in a religion that teaches that man is totally depraved in that man is a sinner, Romans chapter 3, and could do nothing to save himself and falls short of the glory of God and I'm go and I'm this and I'm filthy dirty sinner. When pe this is one of the attractions to Christianity when people become a Christian especially in one of these denominations they go no the Lord speaks to me so they emerge from garbage to becoming suddenly I'm a prophet it's really this is by the way the double IV if you're a Christian I really don't mean to offend you and I apologize because I I probably could say this in a way that is less offensive so I I really am sorry But if I didn't say it this way, I think I would be robbing you of a message. The delivery system here is that Christianity on one hand appeals to low self-esteem and says you are a sinner. There's nothing you can do to save yourself. There's nothing you can do to earn your way into heaven. And many Christians believe in original sin based on Romans 5:12. And then what? So that's one. So it affirms low self-esteem. And then the second thing is it you're a rock star if you become a Christian and the Holy Spirit speaks through you. Praise the Lord. And you're suddenly a prophet and like God's talking to you and you could feel the Holy Spirit. Do you understand the delivery on this? It's like two IVs which address two of man's worst flaws. Low self-esteem and arrogance. You are a filthy, dirty sinner. And God speaks through you. Do you know what? How you know what that is? I like crack. No. Okay, that's offensive. I apologize, but I I really Give me a moment. I'm sure I just offended the whole Christian world. I did not mean that to be offensive, but I also I know you don't want a show made of cottage cheese and applesauce. You want it straight away. You do not pray for doctrine. And you don't engage in a special pleading where I only accept miracles in my religion or my version of my religion. You think the Shia Muslims don't have claim miracles that the Sunnis reject and vice versa. You think the Catholics have that the Protestant? Let's stop it. You pray for wisdom. That's it. You do not pray for doctrine or else what do you need a Bible for? You go to Tanakh. Tanakh tells you what to believe. Period. I don't care what kind of experience you've had. It means nothing. Only matters what it says in Tanakh. There are plenty of people that went through tremendous pain and vicissitudes who believed in the truth.
