Choshen Mishpat Throughout The Ages Part 2

how are you okay so in last in the last the first episode we discussed basically graph Cairo the Rama and the Marshal that these are the three start this is the starting point of the world of when you get down to H tour Shar where they devoted their Works in COD making codification of mass amounts of information of Al now we spoke about how all three of them understood already the power of print crazy amount of information and maybe the ra is too little information so he did something in between and that's what he set out to do now for for many for many people this was a very important starting point and it's sort of becoming a sort of Revival I would say something about 20 30 years ago um the was reprinted in a very um userfriendly and I think that even helped that in the past 20 30 years more people use because it's found in all standard libraries Yesa libraries and you know people learning Mish Mish does coted a lot and the the world of Al has become more popular so it sort of became somewhat to look at it again whereas for a good few hundred years people did not look at it the question is why not there's no good answers for that um okay now just to be M this which also harps on inclusion with our story with the and that is in his he wrote two to his work Al of the works are both both of these Adas are very important where he emphasizes the importance of learning and then he says like this even though the wrote but for him what was the for the he says on the so to the what does the say why because over there they show where does everything come from the is just sort of what is it for this is a fascinating thing others say this also and he says that's also how the gr looked at this work in his BR this is a very important sentence and then he then quotes a famous B which says that you can't just pass you can't just pass from a open you have to know the if you the says you have to know you have to know the of the story and that's what says the um continues the when he wrote his which proves my point that that the there still was many people using um it was to is why because is so there and what happens is continues that that's what they did in they opened up the that it's not just you can't just him from you have to know somewhat the reasons so so this is a very important nuda um we're not going to go into all the different aspects of it seeing your Mish seeing him right Firs hand what was going on in in the in um in his kufa and his and everything okay so and publishes his work and now we don't we don't have a massive of his on any um other than but we have um interestingly enough a few years ago they they printed they found the a of his on your day on 4 I think there was some other discoveries of some material of his okay but I found the story of this SM but the point also is he's the first when you open up your standard even today the starting conversation in usually will begin with a smile okay now we move on we go back to the and again he's under he's a big name he's a in a bunch of why he was in a bunch of is beyond the scope but it seems like he might have been a r in like eight different places and he's a tremendous rashash and has numerous numerous T but as I said what's also significant for us is we have the T he wrote down all this information not all not necessarily all but a crazy amount of information is recorded by him and published mostly by him the onour comes out a little bit after he dies and the is also an incredible incredible work we also have numerous numerous truis of his that were published over the years which are very important in the world of Al some of them are very very lengthy and you're able to get incredible incredible insight into his and here too again just to mention very very we see a tremendous influence of the mar on the same type of Mahal of what different things we find with the um which we outlined a little bit in the previous episode Mar can be found with the B not only that he brings the mar numerous from the mar which is also the similar type of thing so the and the the is the from the is the of the so this is so this takes us to the B now why the B WR on the tour is beyond the scope of what we're trying to discuss now but one theud just to throw out there is everyone's F it's famous the um one of the things with the is oh on the side of the G so he was story and that is the Taz so the Taz in is is the only person that we have that wrote the Taz wrote on that we have however the story of the T and is different you say when was each one printed or was it a different period of time somewhere in his lifetime and some much much later as we'll see we're not going to go Outlaw everything about the T there's a lot to say about the T but just to say very briefly he's born in 1586 he dies in 1667 now he learns by it seems by he had a brother quotes material from his brother and then eventually he marries the daughter of the and he come to learn Yesa and it seems he lived in crao and he learned by him he lived by him there story all types of stories we also have aor of his um Rashi a famous recent more recent Years also D David and it's also legendary at the end about with chap he sent his kids to speak to him Etc okay he dies atak 1667 now he's a he's again the head of the so we're talking about a person who's one of the but he's also the r he has hundreds of seems in all the different places where he was he has many many different T and also very important is that he writes on everything he writes on okay I'm um I'm just going to say very few ideas relating to him and that is as follows number one if you look at in um the of his so you'll see Theus that he got so first of all key point is he was considered a God in his time he's as I said he's the head of the so the truis the sh were going to him and he's giving the sh and he had a big Yesa and he's and prominent cities and he's also a son-in-law of the godar the previous generation so these are key factors when you're thinking about the T in general and and he has the say he married the right okay now if you look just look at that they write about him that he got on it says like this because was published after he dies in 1692 which is way he dies in 1667 another person writes another person writes so you see that the there was tremendous tremendous for the Tas And yet when people learn out when people learn is is an extremely important player in of learning everyone knows you learn it's not only that it's on the side of the page it's very very important now again what do we know about him what's his so again once I already said the is coming from the of the sorry of the so but we see the T he's very noted to quoting so many one the only he quotes is the maral with unbelievable coven so you see again this maral this claim that I'm claiming through which is that the went now down two generations this is the is the second generation now to the Taz the third generation ofak so you see there's a tremendous impact of mar which I already said last time some people say here you see from the amount of times now of course the tiles was a very as I said he's a he's a very confident he argues on plenty of times but he has a Mur he's also very much into the bath okay fine he also has his which he writes on Y which was published in his lifetime again we see that they he he learned this with and his to publish it so you see again not only they but they learned was a very big concern and they they learned all of Y and at the end of he talks about and we hopes that on sounds like it was ready is also going to get published now the problem is that the gets published very late in the game now why that is there's no way to know but we the the facts are that it get published later in the game one of the key when one wants to learn about the history of of this time was um is a from a tremendous who was in C which we discussed actually in the first episode that I gave on Old off which was about the machine Master controversy I spoke all about this his name was he was one of the people in the famous controversy led the controversy against he held that MIM mat is a problem and he was was very close with muger they led the battle so what's less known is that he was also expert in history and he wrote a massive work which is considered with tremendous cover of the that he's writing about with tremendous yed not only of history but you could tell what makes him unique is that he knows the inside of this F too which is very important a lot of times called so where's the lber which he wrote a book all about theam of lamber and he deals with the T all the different and he says when does it come to print in 1690s and not only that when it comes to be published you if you could look the T on is not the same today you understand that it's on the bottom you have to look for it even W so it's is published in 1692 less known and this writes out about it who the person who publishes it seem even hid that he was the person who did it why he did that I don't know but he he did it and there's many of some in sprinkled throughout but it's only till when does the rest of the T get published in 1741 so it's fascinating is for whatever reason and there's stories that are sad and we're not going to go into it but there's claims why the ties wasn't that is wasn't published until late etc etc but what's is the throughout the generations and his work is also important and again he's also preserving this which he's getting from let's say the b and the mar he's very and he writes this out clearly even in his when he's talking about he also has not as long as the people that we mentioned before but he also has an important now one tiny idea to theory of M which I do not know if it's true but so far checking into it I think it is true is that he really would have written a work in at least in and maybe even but more on the tour similar to the B but once the B wrote on the tour so he didn't feel like it's probably proper to write in the tour what what I mean to say is when you look at the the Taz he doesn't he's not he doesn't make it his business to that I'm now talking now more in and especially in to talk about every single thing he is he has a bunch of topics that he feels are important in each sment and he goes through it and sometimes you'll see Mish clears at you that he's he's Mish like a rashash giv you'll see a long longle and he sets it up with the gar the and you could see it's like two pages huge text and it's Mish like if you look at it very carefully this was the as I said he writes this is my and everything so basically is that he didn't put it on the tour but he's attaching it to the and but he's not it's not so much to be let's say the SM who's actually he writes he's coming to them also part of the story okay but anyway it's not a this is just a theory and we can move on okay now the last person that we will discuss today is is the Sha the Sha is an is a story that um will technically need hours on hours to discuss him and we would never even get to even scrapping this scratching the surface about the greatness of this person bottom line is like this he's born 1621 and he dies at the age of 41 in 1662 that means he's 41 years old and he puts out a mindboggling work on yeda and now don't worry you think that he only wrote that we have other stuff from him we're not going to go through all the different pkas and different things about him but for many years the the mat of What's called the the literature about him was very very um there was in this clear that I just mentioned from deitzer there was and and but otherwise it was very little somewhere around 20 something years ago I got a paper from RZ rezar Schwarz from Wu that he wrote about Shak a very nice paper 20 something pages and it was very useful I I read it many different times a few years ago a fellow Hesco fagin wrote a masters about the Shak where he organizes some of the issues with the Shak and then very recently Aid in older yid spent many years working on the sh he wrote this doctorate in Baran University in the tal dep department and he also wrote about the Shak a massive few hundred pages and even with all this there's still so much more to say and look and analyze about so obviously we have very we have a few minutes we're not going to really try to discuss all that much about just some brief points one other person that I'll will mention at the outset ISU he's a prolific writer writer so he wrote articles inur where he deals with the Yas between the shakaz which is a famous thing that everyone always talks about what's the did they get along didn't they get along did they like each other didn't they like each other they met they didn't meet what they thought about each other the all these different things which is not so relevant for us because we're talking more on is its own story with the and the T and theas so it's beyond the scope but anyway RAB imbal has a whole mass of AR about to to to find tun and figure out what's going on between these two and he's a very fin so he has what to um he's able to talk about it very well he wrote a massive work but also okay and he also wrote um about the rebba rbes which we'll see in a moment what's the significance of that now so this imbal his material was published originally in yurin and various of yurin and then eventually last in this year came out in a three volume set from where is a ton and ton of information which he updates buter these are all the places one could read all about the and again about the Tas now so what would I like to just say in these few very few very brief minutes say who does he learn by seems it seems possibly his father's as rebi another rebi is known as the first P Yeshua who's the first P Yeshua is the mag the Z from the P Yeshua which he was also one of the of one of the of his time is one of his and the second re of his is the re of now so we have to understand is the the Shak comes along a 25y old guy and he publishes a work on your now no one is able to explain how did someone do such a thing but not only does he do so let's say a guy comes with this work the the yera the work in y and he's 60 years old and he writes his unbelievable work which we're try just broad Strokes in a minute he does the exact same thing for and mindboggling how someone do this and he dies at 41 now you have to understand in those days what was going on he's living in the times of the other xus are going on he was affected by he so much so he even wrote a very not so well known until recent years was republished but Mill a where he talks about what went on during he wrote a short book and then he says he and his family went on what we know about he wrote he talks about um his rebi that we just mentioned rea the crack dies in in this period of time so we're talking about a person that's that he's living in a very very terrible time for there's no he's not talking like the SM that's sitting in the Sho doesn't have to worry about money his paid for everything he's running now happens to be already in his 20s he's the he's on the Bez of the three people the three of thez no small feet in the 20s to be the who's on thez this is the we met in the story of the SP ezar now so he's a d and he puts out these two works it's so much so that you could see that no one they just couldn't get over how could someone how could one human being publish such a thing that in the travels of the which I'm fond of quoting always he brings down that someone said that um two things one is that the knew which is that he was able to have how can you write so much information look at the sh today with computers he couldn't do this so he says he knew how to do it's called automatic writing sh which is that he knew a special way to have that it could be was writing for him like what we what if someone came back from 200 years ago and see what computers are he would think that's also sh so they so when he's talking about how did he have this crazy again through he had he knew how to use shame mean say they couldn't ra their brains that laws of could write this work so they said these they had these Messias now maybe it's true I wasn't there what we do know is that even though he was affiliated with RAB and the people that were EX in cabala he never talks about cabala Kat anywhere in in his works now it's not a big deal because there's not so much kab that's GNA play out Ina and in especially but fine okay so so this is the story of him on this is PR number one that he basically is it's it's not comprehendable to understand what it is that he does How could a young man do this and now more than that he goes ahead and he puts out the work on y now you have to remember we just brought up the whole thing who's he going who else WR on y the god the all of a sudden a 25y old imagine today the god writes a everyone's using it everyone's looking at it and then all a sudden or knows hisum and then he publishes his work and then right then when walks in some 25y old guy they throw him out on his head they put him on they who knows what they would do he walks into in those days how do you get ask sc one of the ways was you at the ID I think I spoke a little bit about it one point briefly in one of the episodes in the yes in the episode of the of the um get of Vienna the the story a lot of these things would take place at the ID soeter he he brought his work there and he gets over something like 20 something hasas from all the at the time and they're blown they see the work and they're blown away that significantly is that he's a tal of two of the besides the T who is that the Reber ofel who was not known is re in those days and as they said this both of them write in and L the but he also gets who was the who was the god that time also and it's fascinating is that the he argues plenty on the so me but still sorry Feld this Mas this this young fellow 25y old guy to write to publish his work etc etc and he gives him this beautiful and um just to read two things two lines from these escamas that we have um in the standard in the in the standard editions of the you won't find it but if you have the that's now called etc etc they they went ahead and they tracked down from the first edition all that Stu okay State there that he learned by he doesn't say learn Lear what he does and and he writes his now the Reber ofel when he writes about him that he didn't give he didn't he didn't waste any time he didn't sleep nothing biter he sits and learns he writes it's unbelievable he's not he's he's every single thing work now there he's not even saying that he's he says you should be to publish more works we have from they're all blown away by his work that he puts out at the time okay now
