extraordinary uh when he wrote a dedication uh in his book uh he dedicated the book first to his R which was Shalom and then his parents and then his parents not that he didn't respect his parents Shalom but he respected the Tora and Tora says that when a person has a real connection to the rabbi and the rabbi is teaching him to then of course that he owes everything to that Rabbi but of course today it's very difficult very difficult for uh people to find good rabbis uh is one of the other stories that we discuss which we'll elaborate on today uh about a very Wicked Rabbi uh and unfortunately there are many out there but uh needless to say there are also many good ones um and uh so of course when a person has either a wicked Rabbi or just does not have a connection to a rabbi this is obviously a major lacking and quite frankly I think that uh it's uh at the very least as much fault of the people uh as it is of the rabbis you know people like to blame you know their lackings and their lack of growth their lack of uh knowledge on the rabbis but you should always remember that the Torah was given to all of is which means that all of us are obligated to learn it all morning and at night so but again of course the rabbi is supposed to clarify things to you and make sure that you're going in the right direction and unfortunately today aside from the problematic teachers that are out there uh that choose to call themselves rabbis we also have very problematic people uh that are so-called students and uh you know they only want a rabbi that fits their agenda only a rabbi that perhaps they uh could relate to a rabbi they like their looks and so on and so forth so we uh we see that the kazun when he was uh you know writing this book He's not writing this out of speculation but rather out of pure knowledge and experience that he has with uh with the Torah with with the the public and uh each and every single paragraph within this book is something that we're trying to analyze something that we're trying toh to learn from and apply to our lives so in the um third chapter 24th section we've already gone over the first three paragraphs uh which are in essence discussing the importance of uh fear of Heaven the importance of which is fear of Heaven uh that a that a scholar has to have needless to say that a you know a person has to have uh but uh even more so for that scholar if they're going to be leading the public if they're going to be pining as far as ala telling people what to do what's right what's wrong should I go there should I not go there should I marry such and such person should I move to such and such place should I put on a uh wig versus a Shalom but nonetheless these are questions these are everyday questions should I buy in essence the best teacher uh fear has always been the best teacher for people uh that's where we learn the most and the the Kish is in essence telling us that a person that is learned in and not justifi is not justified unless his wisdom is preceded by the fear of Heaven meaning that if he does not have fear of heaven then whatever wisdom he has is in essence becomes senseless becomes senseless wisdom that is going to constantly have mistakes and bias that is going to lead him and others that follow him uh in the wrong direction now a uh he continues here he after telling us that this type of person that is learning Torah but is running away from the uh teachings of of fear of Heaven running away from the the teachings of judgment and and in essence running away from the truth is going to be living multiple lives on one end you're learning about the truth what happened to abah yob Moshe davidl all of the prophets all of the sages you're going to learn all of these extraordinary things but without a Clarity of what the judgment is and how it applies to you specifically and that this is not a story book but rather a narration of the rules in a story format that you have to apply and relate to yourself if a person looks at the Torah and he sees or she sees herself and he sees and he she sees uh she sees her own lackings and her own things that she needs to work on then you are learning Torah but if you only seeing the stories in the tah as simply superficial stories that are interesting that are mentally stimulating that perhaps happen a long time ago but are not really relevant to today you're not learning Torah you might as well close the book because you're wasting your time now of course people think that they know better but that's why the that have dedicated their entire lives to the Torah wrote down their teachings in order for us to know where we're going whether it's the right direction of whether it's the wrong direction and K continues in regards to the teachings of this fear of heaven and he says the following of this matter it is said the beginning of wisdom is the fear of Hashem for the fear constitutes the deep understanding of the heart enabling one to detect the light of sweet wisdom and deep understanding in all its pleasantness this fear participates in a study of any alic issue blending with knowledge understand that whatever difficulties you have in your life whether it's the kids dying or the money loss or the sickness or whatever misery that you're going through sure you know that a is the one that put it on you and surely you know that a did not make a mistake and surely you know that it's you that is lacking and therefore whatever difficulty you have is removing a much greater domino effect of of misery that goes into the world and that misery doesn't just end because you're sorry so when a person truly understands that a person understands that they have a lot of chuba to not much fear of Heaven There all the crime usually happens in private that's why in our in our every day it says we should always have fear of Heaven same thing in private as we do in public why why admit to the truth admit if you're doing it do you have as much fear of Heaven in private as you do in front of your RAB Rabbi you know cuz in front of the rabbi like oh Rabbi oh you everybody you see
