the work that they do is amazing and uh
kudos to you keep pushing the envelope
for all these fantastic programs to
bring us stronger to our connection with
our father in Heaven amazing we really
are a very odd and very I'm very humbled
that you asked me I also think to her
anytime for making this as well for us
coming together so anyways we're not
playing guys just for the record I
appreciate it thank you spontaneous
anyone that could help it would be
wonderful I personally I saw the
wonderful things I'm just like I gotta
give something so thank you kudos to you
uh background about me
um I'm the oldest of five I was born in
Cleveland Ohio my parents were learning
in Kerala on the Taos Cleveland and I
grew up in on Tremaine drive for anyone
that's familiar with Ohio and my father
originally was born in Denver Colorado
my mother's from Chicago my parents
moved back to Denver and that's where I
grew up as a child went to Hill Academy
and then after I went to Chelsea Shiva
Cleveland followed by that I went to or
it's a strong to the risk of cola and
then came back to America I went to BMG
based on Chicago
to this day I still have a very deep
connection with all my Urban frontals
versus Chicago and Lakewood as well then
we went to a few out of town places I
spoke with my reputation
he felt that going to out of town places
would be very good for my character and
who I am we went to Dallas Texas then
after that we went back to Denver and
then after Denver my wife wanted to be
closer to her home which is where she
grew up which is Miami Beach Florida and
that's where I currently am I've
actually have the big hook to serve as
the rabbi of the only spartic show in
Miami Beach excluding the bukharians
they call themselves bukharian so that's
a good thing you know you know it's
called smarty yeah it's bukhari and we
have everyone from all types although I
am Ashkenazi and my great grandfather
was a Roth
in Ukraine uh Hashem very adaptable that
people literally think I'm spartic
it's an amazing blessing to have that we
literally have from all walks of life
from all backgrounds that come every
single day and in addition to that I
also teach at lebovich so I'm also going
there and giving my talents to teaching
there as well and it's a very gift big
gift I always say it's such a gift that
the amateur has given me and I'm very
macro type of that and I've actually had
meeting people like you makes it so much
worth it so I'm very happy to be
grab a Silva bringing everyone together
there all strides all backgrounds after
Unity it's amazing great so uh to our
topic Rabbi in your experience Rabbi
what would you uh tell us what steps
could we take practical steps to bring
the Ula you know the three weeks went by
the nine days went by one by what do we
do what do you suggest
so I this is something that I have to
say is a little bit of a pet peeve of
mine I personally my leadership role is
that when I see something that is a
little off I try to fix it that's just
who I am one of the things that really
really bothers me is when people don't
get along and a lot of times it's
miscommunication and most of the time
has to do with money and if a person
really had a sense of that Hashem is in
charge of you Hashem wants to give you
opportunities he's our father sitting at
the table with everyone else
he wants everyone to have a piece of the
pie and guess what if we run out of
pizza he'll go to the store and get
another pie it's Hashem we're talking
about he doesn't run out of anything and
I've seen that in my own personal career
I've seen that when I've made space for
others Hashem makes unbelievable space
for me and you never lose by name Nevada
it's an amazing thing the gemara tells
us a very fascinating thing the very
famous in the fifth chapter and kitten
and I the the sofa he quotes saying that
he doesn't really understand why gitin
was chosen as the hormon that that's the
one that was under all them so have them
Services is a beautiful idea he says
getting this is unbelievable starts off
if somebody brings the divorce document
from overseas
wait wait what's it get how do you
dissolve the marriage now we're talking
about what Medina
what are you talking about this is not
we have to as first establish the
fundamentals of what it get is like
tested over there says what what's the
what's the mission talking about says
could be a very depressing you're
talking about a family that is being
ripped apart whether it's Justified or
not but there's a family being ripped
apart
even an inanimate object is shedding
tears so we want to also continue with
that same day now talking about it we're
getting ripped apart from our father and
Evan says
somebody's out overseas he thinks
himself God forbid I'm going to die and
if I die I may never get an opportunity
for my wife to remarry and start her
life again I don't want to do that to my
wife and my kids I love my wife and my
kids I want them to start all over again
therefore says the mishnah
from complete love and once you
understand that it flows so nicely says
we talk about all this
all this everything what is going on
it's like a bloodbath going on the
answer is Hashem saying I love you and
the gamara tells us in the middle a very
peculiar thing it says because
because
he had such humility he said don't kill
come don't kill barcamsa just leave him
alone that's a simple meaning therefore
that brought a human mind everyone says
him he's the god of daughter what are
you talking about dancing is is that if
you had real humility and you understood
from beginning that we all have to get
along then this never would have
transpired in the first place and if a
person understands that Hashem is in
charge Hashem is there for you that's
going to bring the ultimate Gula and
you'll never be upset at your friend
you'll never be to say your neighbor you
never see it are you relative you're
just gonna get along
I always tell people that I saw a
personal story there was someone in my
family I'm not going to go into detail
right now but there's someone in our
family not me whatever it says oh
there's someone in my family they're
really talking about themselves or a
friend of mine you're like it's a little
too intimate to be a friend but anyways
so this is a some money in my family
that came from a very large family and
to make a long story short they got a
windfall of money a hundred thousand
dollars and the family members were
fighting like animals so badly that when
my cousin was there together with
another cousin they were told by their
parents do not talk to your cousin in
the Yeshiva of 60 people that is
insanity what are you doing why would
you do something like that the answer is
honestly you don't believe in God and I
one time had a very as they would say in
England a very cheeky conversation with
somebody who's much older than me and I
told the person I was involved with them
and I told them I said listen
before we have a conversation about
something I just have to get off my
chest something that's really bothering
me is it true that I said obviously
speaking with honor and deference to the
person this is this true that you I
didn't say you but I said whatever the
title associated with this person that
you're involved in some type of
controversy it says well yeah you don't
understand what that person I said what
I'm saying I said do you believe in God
for someone's gonna be like like what
remember why are you talking to me so
weirdly what do you mean do I believe in
God of course I believe in Hashem what
are you talking about I said so if you
believe in God why are you fighting with
this person no you don't understand that
guy undercut means I said you're talking
about Hashem is called Yahoo he could do
anything I said I'm an Ashkenazi an
asphardic show it's been around for a
long time very talented people in Miami
beach but okay I'm getting a lot of
people coming great fantastic people
there is no plausible reason why I am
the rabbi of the show I say that all the
time makes no sense but of course
we're the only show in Miami Beach that
has that and it's just growing by Leaps
and Bounds and I say it's you know why
because when you look to have everyone
succeed everyone will succeed you
believe in Hashem Hashem makes space for
you so that's what I say the first thing
is recognize we have a father in Heaven
they can always get more pizza it's not
just cutting pieces of the pie he's
getting you another whole pie and how
many people have had that and there life
they thought oh my gosh I'm not going to
be able to make what and then literally
out of left field something happened
I've had that in my life I'm sure you've
had that in your life everyone's had
that so the first one is recognize that
Hashem is in charge and have real beta
amazing wow powerful Rabbi Silva love it
love the energy 100 True spiritual God
is in charge let's give it all to
whenever there's issues stress problems
within the organizations and Community I
always talking to those local government
you're in charge you to take care of it
because God Almighty always takes care
of it amazing amazing insights Rabbi and
uh let me ask you what are common
pitfalls to avoid in order to bring the
Gula so you're saying Shalom peas
getting together is very important in
having Unity Etc what are common
pitfalls have you seen in the past right
back the message tells us that when the
Jewish people went through the yams of
they had 12 passageways now if you look
at the middle of the middle says it was
like in a semicircle okay now what
always bothered me is I shouldn't split
the sea you can make it a zigzag you can
make it a box he can make it whatever
why does he have to make it 12. what
does that even mean so I heard in
beautiful interpretation which goes like
this just like you have 12 months of the
year
has nothing to do really with Nissan
one is Hanukkah and one is PESA you know
what it's it's Unique and you wouldn't
say to yourself oh you know what I think
I think I you know because we're gonna
have a Newman hug we're gonna eat matzo
when we spin the dreidel right everyone
thinks like you're a bizarre like what
are you doing
why is that because we understand that
the month calls for a certain mood
there's a certain element behind if you
look and I always tell this to people
don't dive in like you were in fifth
grade just like you upgraded from your
house you upgraded your job you upgraded
your car or whatever it is how you get
from point A to point B you upgraded
your clothing upgrade your spirituality
too you're not in fifth grader anymore
so if trila is not speaking to people
which for some reason it doesn't upgrade
your teeth there's a fantastic save I
always say
it's a fantastic safer Daniel fresh
and if you take hidabroot they actually
tell you and all the speed Road there's
colors associate that I tell people I'm
like every day at Phila is an adventure
for me I don't know what lurks behind
the next page is going to be you search
and you're like you're like you're
touching different buttons you're
accessing different things so if you
understand that utila is so powerful to
Hashem
you're upgrading it's the same thing too
with your limo Torah as well Everyone
likes to see inconsistencies in others
that's why we learned that's what we
learn and then you start yelling at the
person in other words we're trained to
be very critical and analytical but
instead of focusing on the page
whatever it is that we're embarking on
we focus on look at those people and I
heard just like every month is different
Hashem wanted to highlight that but say
you have 12 schwatin they're all
different they're all unique and they
all play a role in the symphony in the
orchestra called call yourself just like
the drums are different than the strings
which are different than the best and
different than all the other elements
that you have there everything has its
purpose and it is made to be different
doesn't mean be exactly like me means
they were all playing to the same
composer and if a person understands
that that just like the Jewish people
when in a semi-circle which means
wherever you came in guess what you're
coming right back out
and you have to recognize there are
people all around you that aren't in a
different tunnel but they're all coming
back to the same Shore everyone's just
going back make a U-turn go back and go
wait a second what just happened oh
they're next to me what's that open
they're not like me they're not supposed
to be like you that's exactly the point
you have to take the good of one another
and see how amazing I always say that
it's amazing to me I see because I
didn't grow up but I did I see the
unbelievable deference that the
Spider-Man have towards
it is unreal coming in it's like they
realize this is you know you're in
manalama you see it
one person told me he doesn't even cross
his legs I didn't even know that was a
thing cross your legs we don't want you
guys are sitting there slouching with
the coffee and who knows all right
slouch your legs right you know I was
thinking slouch your legs but that's the
answer and people could learn from
ashkenazim when it comes to Limonite
uncompromising
you can learn from
how you say things you can learn from so
many different people how they do miss
motive it's just every group has
something to offer at the table called
the smorgasbord of Judaism and the
pitfall is when we highlight the
difference and say you are different and
therefore I despise you because that
that is completely wrong yes they're
different and love the differences
amazing amazing amazing I love it love
it Rabbi Soma such inspiration to love
your fellow like you love yourself to
love the differences that have delivered
I've said this in the past
the root of it is right the love is bad
the difference of your fellow just like
you overlook yourself Overlook theirs as
well amazing amazing and it's true by
the way all the different nationalities
and backgrounds every single one has
their ways that stick out and make
themselves unique you know for example
in our community over here in Queens
there's many behinds and the way they
have a Sinha when it comes to happy
occasions like a breed Mila or a
barometro wedding whatever it is it has
an extra on that extra you know the
Mitzvah and every single Community has
their uniqueness amazing I would like to
add by the way I would like to add Rabbi
that my grandfather when he ran on foot
with his brother from Ukraine
and they went East to make sure to avoid
the Nazis they went deeper and deeper
into Russia my grandfather always said
the facet that was shown by the
bukharian Jews was unbelievable he said
people left their own bedroom and slept
on the floor so he could sleep on a
mattress because he went literally 2 000
miles away from his home he said he saw
that cassette he saw that all the so
another thing the baharians have I
believe over everyone else
taking everyone in they don't care about
anything they give it a free hand a
loving hand with a smile it's amazing
there's so much good out there look at
this look at
my son look at my son it's like if you
were to go to Hashem and ask him Hashem
who's your best son come on who's your
best I'll say it I I love you all like
he should just like we would say the
same thing too I love everything about
my children you can't pick one over the
other
Bobby silver you're saying beautiful
gems words of inspiration kizuk it's 100
True Rabbi if I were to ask you a
personality trait something that
personifies the proper individual that
could bring the Gula who and what would
it be
saying
the 10th Fila is
Hashem you gather the uh the Gathering
of the Exiles now why is that number 10
so I believe this is my own
interpretation 10 represents the letter
yud yud is the smallest one smallest of
all they say represents either the
smallest one or a little by little if
you want to get just still do a little
more a little more that's how you get to
the next World so the 10th Fila is that
of gathering of the Exiles spread out
throughout the world we make Hashem and
we do what we need to do Hashem will
bring us back why
the answer I believe is is that if you
look for opportunities for a little
nikuda something that'll make someone's
day a little brighter someone that you
could uplift somebody just a smile hey
what's up how you doing what's going on
uh it's nothing it's literally nothing
for you it's a good that little things
you don't know how far that will go we
all know of people in our life that
they've done something or said something
to us that to this day carry us on
the ones they all inspired me in some
way some more than others but the ones
that inspired me more than others that
they said something or did something I
pointed out to them they look at me like
what are you talking about I said that
no no somebody else must have said that
he said no no you told me I remember I
remember they're looking at you like
you're crazy and I've had that before
people coming over to me tell me oh
Rabbi when you said this I'm like I
think you're mixing me up with somebody
else but I know you said it you were the
one that said it a little just a little
nikuda the personality is we look for
the yehudi
we look for the start from the little
just a little give a little more we look
at him the reason why they're so beloved
since people that go because they give a
little it's just for them yeah give a
little okay here you can take my thing
no no that's fine no it's okay it's
totally and then you're Blown Away by
that so and answer your question
personality would be is just give a
little and that will bring the ultimate
he's going to come down here bringing
the house down in Fire and like it says
how can you be how can you destroy
something with fire and bring it down
with fire the answer is with that
enthusiasm we're going up we're just
going up with you Hashem bring it down
because we're going up we're meeting and
we're going to bring it down Hashem I
feel the fire the enthusiasm through the
screen it's amazing love it very very
much and it's so true just do a little
bit more there's a famous
um story Parable I believe it's from the
club It's Kind basically there was a a
wall separating two communities and uh
they said you know let's take down the
wall and all the big guys and all the
strong guys came and they couldn't take
it down and everybody the whole
Community decided to come they're all
going to run into the wall to bring it
down and uh they're pushing and kicking
and trying but they weren't much there
and they're all sitting there exhausted
all of a sudden a young guy comes and
just gives it a little bit of a push and
all of a sudden it falls down everyone's
like whoa what did you do he's like I
didn't really do much it was all you
guys you guys did all the hard work so
many people say with regards to the Gula
that oh how is it in common dime of uh
you know uh
you know never finds all these big tadiq
have passed away so they did all the
hard work now our turn is to just give
that little yield like the rabbi saying
that a little bit more
I'm enjoying so much
and we have a Minag we have a custom
atar talks which is a final message a
takeaway from uh from all this Rabbi
what was what would that be rabbit
the message we have is a very simple one
love your brother love your neighbor
love us all
Hashem loves us more the reason why tyh
thank you Hashem I don't get any merch I
don't get any there's nothing the reason
I have it somewhere yeah exactly well
you have it right here Rabbi ah ah thank
you thank you the reason why that
resonates so powerfully with people is
because we really do say thank you
Hashem is Hashem that's why that song
rocks because that's really where we
come from we are thanking you Hashem
every single moment we are thank you
we're part of your chosen people we are
one family somebody told me a fantastic
one I was just an artistic cell a few
weeks ago and my tour guide his name is
Archie great guy by the way he's a
and I asked so I like I like asking out
of the box questions so he told me he
wasn't prepared for this and I said to
him arkey tell me one good surprise he
made out of the ice originally from
Baltimore he said okay tell me one good
surprise that you had by making Aliyah
that you did not anticipate an arcade
told me the following he said I am blown
away every single day how
a close neighbor is much more important
than a far away relative in other words
just because we're born in the same
family but if we have nothing to do with
one another it doesn't mean we happen to
share the same last name we have some
blood that's associated with it but
that's it but if you have a neighbor
that really cares about you he's going
to do everything for you and he said
indicative of that was he one time saw a
video to Israelis that unfortunately got
an offender Bender
screaming yelling at each other they
don't realize they're being filmed and
finally in the middle of them yelling
and screaming each other getting each
other's face selling one of them just
stops says
like why are we doing this immediately
start hugging each other he says only in
Israel could you have that and he told
me that's why people they get so
hot-headed he says if a neighbor went in
front of your lawn or he did something
that really bothers you you'll be polite
you're not gonna say anything you're
like thinking on yourself your mother
and your brother who is that person
right they annoy you but if it's your
brother your brother like what's wrong
with you
why it's your brother it's your re it's
a re it's real the connection is real
it's so deep when we hear people that
need something we always jump in how
many of us have when we've heard a Call
the Clarion call of somebody needs help
we all jump in somebody told me one of
the things that they were saying they
were for sure and I want to tell you
something it is not even a question to
me if coven would have been dealt with
properly we'd be right now we'd be be
talking right now and right by the
homological show line right now that's
not even a question because everyone was
everyone realized this is serious we got
to get together and we have to respect
one another and that was so unfortunate
how people I told somebody I said
literally it was like bizarre to me you
have two people looking each other
pointing at each other yelling and
they're both saying the exact same
bubble which is are you all out of your
mind are you crazy you're so selfish I
can't talk to you you're nuts they're
both saying the same thing and they're
both coming from completely different
bandage boys and they're saying the same
thing why why can't it be you holding
your life well that's dangerous set it
up really you really everything that you
do is according to FDA group really
everything that you do is not if they I
mean it's like you have to appreciate
the other side where they're coming from
and understand it's not another side and
I One Time heard it I'll just conclude
with this
is a beautiful idea it says
there will never be another look at like
in his congregation ever if is what are
you talking about unfortunately we have
Discord that's just the way it is says
there being an options having 90 to 10
right
yeah that you can work with most was a
hundred percent right 100 right caught
up with zero a hundred to zero you're
never gonna have low yeah but you're
gonna have 90 to 10. the 10 that they're
saying is 100 valid what they're saying
they're spot on you have to recognize
that now 90 is overwhelming a lot like
that but you have to at least appreciate
where they come from and we believe
Hashem is doing an unbelievable has that
he's showing you how much of a Lunatic
Society this has come that we're
debating about what gender is where did
they I told somebody I said the best
thing you could do to get these people
zip them is you walk into a place and
God goes well I don't know if uh I say I
identify as a vaccinated person I'm
vaccinated but just say the words I
identify as I identify as 65 I need to
collect Social Security or my favorite
one which is a true one I have a friend
of mine from Shapiro he told me that his
brother did this he walked in one Sunday
with his kids to Chuck E cheese you see
there's a bunch of women with their kids
they're going in Baltimore cheese
he walks in he goes excuse me sir you
have to pay an admission fee he's like
one second but how come they got in and
I did he said well sir today is Mother's
Day and we are celebrating mothers and
he has a beard like you and me he goes
well I identify as a mother oh welcome
to Chuck E cheese right
this is this is what we're talking about
to show you stop the foolish arguing and
recognize how similar we are and then
that's Hashem we're all going to come
together it is going to be the last dish
about this is going to be the last time
that we have to sit on the floor
together instead of Hashem we're going
to sit at hashem's table together
um
