Of course, the email is on the screen. Sign up. It's going to be a great initiative, a great a great step that we're going to show Hashem that we're taking upon a new step for the new year. And is of course our great great honor to call upon Rabbi Yakov Rahim. Okay, shalom. Thank you so much for having me. We're going to speak for a few minutes. I know I'm late, so we're not going to keep it holding for a while, but we'll try to say a few. Hopefully, it's going to make a difference. Hopefully, we're going to make it worth it. We're holding a few days before Yakipim. One of the greatest gifts that Hashem gave us is the opportunity to do tesha. The Torah tells us when we were slaves in Egypt and when we were started having more and more time to start praying to Hashem to take us out of Mit from the Po noticed that the Jews are starting to pray to Hashem. So what did Po do? He threw more work at us as slaves. So we have no time. We'll be too busy working, too busy being too into our schedules 247 that we don't have a chance to breathe, we don't have a chance to even pray to Hashem. Pon knew that if a person takes a step back and thinks into reality, am I really getting close to Hashem? Am I really praying to Hashem properly? He knew once a Jew realizes how much potential they have and how much they can do, he knew they can change the world. So he noticed the Yehoudim, the Jews Ben are starting to pray. So what did he do? He had to right away cut it short. And he threw us more work as slaves. So we have less time and no energy to even pray to Hashem. He knew that he knew salvation will come as if Jews actually davce. He had to stop it right away. How did he stop it and make us even busier? Says throughout the whole year they make sure we're very busy. We all have busy schedules. We all have things to do. But a person throughout the year can forget how close they could get to Hashem. How much potential they really have to serve Hashem and become a greater and a greater odm servant of Hashem. Comes yakipur one day a year where a person no matter what happens the job of yipur is to take a step back and look am I really utilizing my potential to get close to Hashem? Am I really serving Hashem properly? Throughout the whole year, we're very busy where we have very tight schedules. We're doing so many things. Yes, we dive in. Yes, we learn. All those are reminders throughout the whole year. Becomes yakipim. The job of yipper is to shake a person up. Do you really utilize potential? Are you really serving Hashem properly? Do you really feel that you're doing your best and you're trying your best getting closer and closer to Hashem? I'll give you a mash that I heard a few years ago. An adult when you want to wake him up in the morning, what do you do? You shake up the bed. When I want to wake up my younger brother sometimes to go to yeshiva, I shake up the bed. I take off their blankets. The more you shake the bed, the more they're going to wake up. A baby in the other hand, a tino, how does it go to sleep? You put it in the crib and you shake the crib and then it falls asleep. A baby, you shake the crib, it falls asleep. An adult, you shake it, it wakes up. Say the comes comes. What's the job of these days? It's called yam days of great awe. What is norm? Noim means like astonishing like a great like wow powerful days. Why are these days so powerful? Because these days determine how the whole year is going to look like. These days determine how much panel we're going to have, how much health we're going to have, how our children going to be. Everything is dependent on how we pray and how we act in these days. That's what's called yim. These are very very busy times. Hashem is shaking up the world. He's shaking up wake up the whole month. If that didn't work, comes. If that didn't work, comes where Hashem is trying to wake the person up. If that doesn't work, comes Hashem is saying, "Wake up. Wake up." And he's shaking us. An adult when you shake them, they wake up. A baby on the other hand a person who's doesn't realize their potential in this world yet person doesn't realize how powerful their eyes in the eyes of Hashem even when you shake them they don't wake up comes person has to make sure that they're adults to recognize really how close we are to Hashem and how much of a job we have in this world that is to get closer and closer the distracts a person the whole year not to focus on this but comes The most powerful day of the year that tells us focus focus on your focus on your soul. Are you really really getting close to Hashem? Are you read the writes? Go to the ant lazy one. Go look at its ways of the ant how it conducts herself and you will get smarter. I read you half of the what's here saying what's King Solomon here saying writes you want a lesson for life you want a tip to learn what it means to really serve Hashem go look how an ant a little bug crawls and look what she does learn from her ways you're going to serve Hashem better what is it I learned from an ant what is there I learned from says that two understandings in this and both of them are tremendous lessons tremendous lessons for life lesson number One, an ant says the midash lives an average lifespan of 6 months. An average ant lives for 6 months. Not too long. How much food does an ant need to live for those six months? A kernel and a half. That's all they need. Colernel and a half. Says the midrash. An ant for a few months in the summer prepares itself. Goes collects kernels. More kernels over there. More wheat over there. Puts it on her back. Goes on the ground. And they have three stories worth of storage of kernels and it collects. It collects. So in the winter it doesn't have to leave so it has enough food on the ground. Says the midrash. Why does an ant why does a prepare so much kernels so much? If all you need is one and a half kernel, if all you need is a why does it prepare so much? All you're leaving is for 6 months. All you need is a kernel and a half. Why are you busy for months collecting and collecting and collecting and collecting as if you're living until a thousand years says to Hashem and to Hashem that hopefully Hashem will give her longer life. Hopefully she will live for long for longer than 6 months. So just in case the ant might live longer this since than 6 months it needs food. So just in case it might live longer it needs food. It collects for a few months food to have to live just in case she lives longer. So what's the lesson from what is he telling us from an ant? If aah that lives for six months prepares so much how much does a human being the should live to 120 years but knows you're going to and the only way you live in is only if you come prepared with and in your pocket. If an ant lives six months, but just in case it might live longer, it prepares so much. They have food to eat to live. How much more so? Says Melik, every human being alive has to make sure they're preparing themselves for which we know we're all going after 120 years. And is forever and ever. And the only way you can live in is only if you come prepared with that's the lesson we learned from Anthony. I'll give you a little mash, a little parable. What does it mean the next world is forever and ever? Just to put it into practicality, the I heard this a few years ago from Arabi. He says, "Imagine the whole Manhattan is filled up with sunflower seeds all the way up to the Empire State Building. The whole Manhattan has sunflower seeds gin all the way to the to the tallest building in Manhattan. And a bird comes once every let's say 20 years and takes out one sunflower seed out of the city. How many years will it take the bird to finish cleaning the whole city away from sunflower seeds? Sunflower seeds all the way up to the top of the building. Bird comes once every 20 years to take it out. How many years would it take the bird to finish cleaning the whole city from sunflower seeds? But to this day, I don't know the number, but it's a very large number. And even that even those years that it will take the bird to clean the whole city, even that is not forever. Even that has a limit has a number how many years that is. But is even for longer. Is you know what forever and ever means? It's something you can't even fathom. And how does a person live in? How does a person sustain himself? How do you have a house? How do you live? Hashem tells us very clearly, the more a person learns, the more a person does, the more the more the more the more you're going to have food to sustain yourself. So is telling us look at an ant lives for six months. Look how hard they work and they prepare themselves just in case they might live longer. What about you the says when you know you're going to which is forever and you know Torah is what works. How much more soul should a person while they're alive not waste their time and utilize the time that they have to get close to Hashem more Torah and more and be busy with doing and during the times that we're holding in they'll try to make sure to distract a person even on Yumip like the says he says you can have a guy coming into Yumip after like we said comes and a person still gets distracted out the seat that he has in the sho is not comfortable enough. He doesn't like the guy that he's sitting next to. The Kazan is a not as such a good kazan. So he's getting you annoyed. The rabbi gave a bad comment by his speech. This happens. There's so many things in yum kipool in that can distract or let's say the is not good enough that too long too short. So many things can happen even on yumip where the says the will try to distract us not to focus on the day. And what's the focus of the day? Really, really look into ourselves and tell ourselves, are we really doing are we really getting close to Hashem? Are we really utilizing our potential to get closer and closer to that is the job of the job of our person to step into reality. Now is my chance while my life while I'm alive to do. And on the mash I want to share with you is imagine Hashem will go to Shamim. Imagine Hashem will go to Shamim and he will tell all the it's one of my favorite parables this one. It's a powerful one. Imagine Hashem goes to Shamim to and he tells all the people that already passed away from this world which is a lot of people over history. And he tells them Black Friday 24 hours you can come back to this world. Imagine he tells it to all the souls. Try to think about this for a second. He tells all the nishot that already left this world. I'm giving you 24 hours to come back. After 24 hours, boom, you're all coming back up. Black Friday for all the nish, all the souls are going to come down. They're going to be so excited to be in this world. What do you think they're going to do if all they have is 24 hours in this world? What do you think they're going to do? Do you think they're going to win online to order a Shinsel sandwich? You think they're going to win online by the mall going shopping? You think they're going to waste their time driving all over? No. What they're going to do is they're going to utilize the time to learn, to pray, to get close to Hashem. Because now that they know the importance of time and now that they know the value of life and howabout works and what truth is and what she is and how much potential we have in this world and how much opportunities Hashem gives us once they have 24 hours that we utilize every moment. Hashem gives us another year and another year, another a person has to utilize the time. Every day that we have, especially now in the days of Yakipur, Hashem is giving us an opportunity that those who already left this world wish they had. They wish they could come back to this world and do they wish they could come back to this world and learn Tawra and do and do. and we're alive and is giving us the opportunity to repent to do to to give more. Now, what is and I'm going to finish off with this. What exactly is repenting? I would like to read you the words of the he writes powerful words. He writes like this. What is the mindset of it needs to be to get close to Hashem? The way we erase our we did says the is by wanting to get close to Hashem is not necessarily focusing on the punishment that might come on a person for the sins they did. rather to get close to Hashem with a broken heart in front of Hashem a person who focuses on being what's my focus of what's my focus of repenting Hashem I want to be close to you Hashem I want to learn more Tora a person who focuses on trying to get close to Hashem and he does not focus on the punishment that might happen he doesn't only focus focus on that says the punishment he might have gotten from hem will disappear if he focuses his tishua I wanted to get close to hash hem these are powerful words the mab just taught us you know what tshoua is you know what repenting is repenting is wanting to get close to hashem telling hashem hashem I really want to be close to you I know I have potential I want to be great I want to be a sadik a person who focuses on taking upon themselves more getting closer and closer to Hashem. That's tshou. When you focus on that, it automatically erases the a person might have gotten punished for that they already did. And I would like to share with you a story to bring this point home. This story was said over by I said it over many times, but it's such a good story and it brings this point home that it's worth saying it. And I'm going to finish off with this. eats it over them many many years ago when his little son Moshe now he already he's an adult his little son Moshe took him to the beach in the beach the ocean has a separating the men and the girls so it's kash it's kosh you can go to the ocean over there so he took his son Mosha to the beach he said that he sat down on the beach air with a and his little son Mosha was wearing an orange cap and he told him orange uh kova and he said he can run around play ball do whatever you want so said he was reading a safer After 15, 20 minutes, he picked up his head from the seil and he started looking for his son. Moshe with the orange cap. He's looking around from his chair. He can't find him. He gets up, starts walking around several feet away from the chair. Can't find his son. Now he starts getting a little worried, but not that worried yet. He's looking around. He started asking people, "Did you notice a kid looking in the ocean? Maybe, god forbid, he already drowned. Who knows what the orange cap?" Nobody saw him. Now he starts getting really worried. He got worried enough that he said he went to the mid. He went to the lifeguard on top of there. He goes to the mitsid and tells the mits lifeguard, I don't know where my son is. Moshe, he's wearing an orange cap. He was he's 5 years old. Can you find him? The mits starts announcing by the microphone. If anybody saw a boy with an orange cap, please come to us right away. A few minutes passed by. They still can't find Moshe. Now he said he started getting very, very, very worried. We should never know if such an is but just try to imagine shalom. How nervous of as a father who knows where his son is. The lifeguard goes over to him and he tells him, "I think that it's already past the time. I think we have to call the cops. We have to call the Misha to handle it because it could get dangerous." Then he said he got really scared. The cops came down. They started searching for him, a whole crew. But Barai, good news. They found him. He went all the way down to the other side of the beach cuz he saw there was like a soccer game and he ran faster than they thought. Little boy, 5 years old. They found him in the other side of the beach. He was playing kad. He was playing soccer. The cops are holding Mosha's hand with the orange cap and they're walking towards the father said that he ran towards his son. You could just imagine his son is alive. He thought he died by he's running towards his son and he's hugging him and he's telling Moshe, where were you? We were looking for you. Guess what his son Moshe Guess what the first word is that he told his father after he thought that he already passed away got lost. The first words that Moshe told his father was, "Aba, daddy, can you buy me ice cream?" It's the first words he told him. So thought that he's already gone. Finally, he's hugging him. Moshe, we're worried. I missed you. What does the son tell his father right away? Abba, I want Galita, can you buy me ice cream? That's the first thing he tells him. Now, it's a little kid. He's 5 years old. What do you expect from him? But it's such an intense situation. The first thing he asks for is for ice cream. But that's a little kid. This is a powerful powerful mash parable. says comes comes that we're holding by right away. What's the day of Yumiper about? It's a day that we're supposed to tell Hashem, utilize the opportunity, Hashem, we want to get close to you, Hashem, this year, I really want to serve you. I really want to do more to more. And that's tishuva. Like the mab says, what is tishuva? Tishuva is wanting to get close to Hashem. A person who really wants to get close to Hashem is sincere about it and says it verbally to Hashem in the A person who's sincere about it says the already erases the ones the punish you're supposed to get that is so what should a person be careful not to be too busy with says pray for pray for different things but make sure that's not the focus just like the kid the first thing he asked for was ga and such an intense time a person also asked to make sure not only to focus on the small things in the life even though yes they're very needed and a person should always pray to Hashem but sometimes other things are more important to pray for and to focus on and that is to get close to Hashem just like the child asked for ga and it's nothing compared to his father's hug so too the hug Hashem is giving usim the opportunity he's giving us to get close to him make sure you utilize and tell Hashem Hashem I miss you I want to get close to you not only focus on the things that we're praying for whether it's pan whether it's a house whether it's a car whe it's all these things are also important to pray for but what's the most important thing jumping jumping back in hashem and telling hashem hashem I want to do touva hashem I really really want to get close to you that is that is repenting and that's the day of we have an opportunity to get close to hashem there's so much to pray for I share with you one story the there's a biography that was put out about him and in that biography they bring a tremendous They say that the's mother used to say for her kids all the time and that of the mother the he inherited from his mother. So one time someone came to the with unfortunately he had a tragedy. So he went to the and he asked him can you pray for me? He gave me a told him did you pray for yourself? Did you say he? He says rabbi of course I saidim. He's like no no no no. Did you really say? Tell him what do you mean I pray? I pray for myself. He said, "No, there's praying and there's really praying for yourself." He went to his and he took out his mother's and he opens it up and he shows him the yellow pages, how it's worn out and how it has tears. You can see the tears and how it's worn out from the tears of his mother and the pages. He turns to this person. He says, "This is how you pray. This is called praying. There's praying and then there's really praying. My mother really cried with the heal." That's what the told him and this it's a short story but an unbelievable message. Yes, all of us pray and a person prays sincerely but there's levels of praying. There's levels of really praying to Hashem comes yakim that's where there's real real real praying that's where a person has to really pray to hashem only only lean on hem I recently heard a story from a friend waxman interesting lesson he said that somebody once went to one of the rebbas and he told him rebik I'm already an older single guy I can't I can't find the shik so the rebb told him I already see that according toesh I already see that hashem said you're not going to have a zoo it's not it's not going to work that's what The Reb told this guy as soon as this guy left the Reb you can imagine what he went through. Even the Rebesh I have no chance. That's when he really turned to Hashem and he told Hashem, "Hashem, even the Reb doesn't believe in me." He said, "Hashem, only you can help me out." And then he started diving. He went back to the Reb and he told him how he dash. The Reb told him, "Oh, now you're going to have a Yeshua. Now you're going to see the salvation. You know why? Even though you prayed the whole time and of course it makes a difference. But did you really pray? you really relying only on Hashem or did you have in back of your mind you could go to me for or you could go for this guy go do this or do that you really only rely on Hashem once a person truly only relies on Hashem that only he can help him that is 100% true and that's what a person has you know I once went a person he told me the day is too long the day of was too long I told him too long if you know what you can utilize in that day the day is too short for For those who utilize what life is, for those who recognize how actions make such a difference, for those who recognize the opportunity that Hashem is giving us to erase all our sins and to give us for a whole year, how much we could dive in for our children, for our spouses, for our parents, for cloud, there's so much to do. Yumipu is such a busy day, the day is too short. How can a person say it's too long? A person can only say that if they yet didn't realize the opportunity we have at Yomipim. Yumipu is an opportune day that Hashem is giving us to pray and get close to him. We don't eat, we don't drink, we don't talk, we don't do anything. Only focus on it's a day that Hashem is telling us focus on what's real and that and the more you focus on that like the writes the more you focus on the easier it will be the whole year to actually serve Hashem tips the scale of how the year spirituality of a person might look like. So what's the job of a person? Focus on what's real. Really dive into Hashem. really tell Hashem I want to do touva. What is tshuva? Hashem I want to get close to you. I want to focus on learning more to Torah. I want to hug you back. Hashem is giving us a hug in that is the focus and not to get distracted even in with the chairs with focus focus. That is the job of I'm going to leave off with some gifts just in case some of you want it. We're on a mission the last year to try to get as many as possible to start learning the many people that started learning it sought tremendous they saw tremendous Yeshua and salvation by starting to learn the safer. I can sit here for hours and tell you stories and stories about people that I know personally that started learning the safer and such tremendous tremendous. I just met a person in Lakewood and he sat next to me in my house because we recorded a video together and he said over the story that happened to him how he controlled himself not to talk and he's such tremendous he said that his daughter unfortunately 10 years old at the time was in a coma in in Chop hospital in Philly she was in a coma 10 years old as he's driving in the streets of Lakewood he had to leave the hospital because it was too pressuring so he went back home as he's driving in the streets of Lakewood he was on the phone with somebody on a street called Route 9 it's a famous street in Lakewood as he's on the phone. He had some juicy lush to say over while he was talking to someone. But then he controlled himself and it was very hard for him. He said he closed the phone after the conversation and he said that he turned to Hashem with a with a prayer and he told Hashem he said Hashem I close my mouth not to speak lush and har but another person please open up the mouth of my daughter who's sitting in a coma in Philly hospital. 10 minutes later or so this is the story where he told me over the story of this person 10 around 10 minutes later he gets a phone call from his wife who's in the hospital hysterical crying what's going on you're not going to understand the doctors came in and they see some movement in our daughter she's starting to wake up rushed to Philly hospital right now and he said that he flew to the Philly hospital and Barashem by the way his daughter is a kala when I did this video she's now a kala she's getting married soon she's alive and healthy he closed his mouth once not to speak. How many times a day, a week, a year do we have the opportunity not to answer back not to speak negative about one another? How much opportunities does Hashem give us to shower us with if we control ourselves not to answer back? So right now right before what a person should try to take upon themselves is to work on the power of speech to work and not speaking The says you want to know a good tip says Rauna. You want to know a good tip to have a good judgment to have a good you want Hashem to be. You want Hashem to not actually judge you in every single thing you did this whole year. You want Hashem not to be precise with the actions that you did to him that year to Hashem. If you're also not that type of person that's precise with others, how they act to you, meaning you know how to let things slide by. You're flexible. you don't answer back even though you have any right to answer back but you're more like a easygoing type of guy I'm not gonna answer back even though he make fun of me if I have any right I'm not gonna do I'm not going to speak a person who works on not answering back and being more flexible when people offend him if he knows how to be he knows how to let things slide by how people act to him says Hashem will also let things slide by on his judgment so even though he did something wrong that year but Hashem Let it slide by. Mid. That's how you treat others. You let things slide by when they offend you. Even though you offended me, says Hashem, I will also let things slide by. So says the a person who wants to have a good judgment. Person who wants to pass, he has to be a person who takes upon himself to be more forgiven, to be to give in, to be others, not to speak. Such a person like there is such a person has a has hope to have a good judgment. So whoever over here wants to take upon himself to learn this every single day you will see tremendous tremendous salvation in some shape or form in your life. If you want to take it upon yourself you can take the book for free as long as you learn it at least once. It's a daily thing. It takes like four minutes a day, three minutes a day. It will change your life for the better. You're going to see only and you want to have this in your pocket going into telling hem this year I'm going to try really hard to stay away from and not talking back to others give us a good y a good yat a good year the should be good we should have only good news everyone should be healthy only from our children our soldiers should be safe our hostages should be healthy and safe only good news thank [Applause]
