Arab everyone welcome to tonight's very
special shar of course all the words all
the braot all the learning tonight
in loving memory of yen arisa lea yakub
and aliyah amen
>> and of course we've all gathered here
people of all different ages and
backgrounds were all gathered to
together to get inspiration and see what
we could do for the aliyah
for for the the rising for for the for
for the soul of of this special this
special this very special this very
special soul of course Kazak and
congregation welcome everyone to to
tonight's very special shar and but
we're we're going to hear from we're
we're going to be hearing opening
remarks from Yost Klein Amanov and um
Rabbi Josh shortly and then follow
obviously of course we're going to here
from everybody Jacob Misrai a very
powerful speaker all the way from
Brooklyn and to um to um I think to to
to one message that that that just as
preparing for tonight's share that that
that I heard I think which is so
applicable to um to the family and of
course what we're all doing here
tonight. There's a story I heard from
Rabbi Rabbi um Rabbi Fari. He said that
there was once in in Israel, there's
there's a part in that there's there's a
part of Israel where where a lot of
people try to smuggle in the cars,
stolen cars. They they try to smuggle in
the cars because once it gets part past
that border, you're never going to see
your car again. So, what happens?
There's they have um they have they have
guards there and they have to go through
the border. So, what happens? There's
there's two points of the checkpoints of
of this um of this um part of of this
part of of of Israel where in order to
get the cars in. So what happens? So so
the f the first checkpoint the the
guards say they they run the plates and
everything and they say okay let the car
go through. So what happens as it's
going through to the second checkpoint
one of the guards says wait wait wait I
have a feeling I I just know stop the
car. They said, "We ran the plates. It's
fine." So they said, "No, no, no. I'm
telling you." And what did they do? They
ran the plates and they saw it was um it
was it was a stolen car. So
[clears throat]
So, so what happens? They said, "How did
you know that that that it was stolen
plates?" They said, "Because it said
because there was a bumper sticker on
the back of the car that said ain't old
mil." So they said, "Okay, fine. Fine.
Not stolen." So what happens? They they
they find they trace back the the the
plates and and to the person. and they
return the car to the person. They come,
they knock on his door and the guy
starts crying and and and he said,
"Thank you so much for turning the car
and everything and they said, they were
telling him the story. They said, "You
know, you know, you know how we found
the the place because you are the anal
um bumper sticker." And and he and he
and and what happens? He says, "You're
not going to believe me, but what
happened?" He said, "There was there
were there was these rabbis. They came
to my house and they said, "Um, maybe
you should start uh maybe you should
start putting on maybe fill in maybe
once a day, once a week." So they said,
"No, no, it's too much." So they said,
"Okay, fine. Maybe put on a mazuza on
your door." And they said, "No, no, it's
too much. Maybe put on put on some
situs." He said, "No." They said, "What
about if you put an ao milo sticker on
your car?" He's like, "Okay, I'll do
that." So we see that that that they're
just doing the having that belief in
Hashem is something which is so powerful
and and affects ourselves, our family
and the whole community of course and um
something something that I heard from
from from Isaac Yakuba just as I was
here as I was um preparing for tonight's
event is something which which is so
unbelievable is that this family that um
the father and the mother they were
saying at at the Shiva they were saying
thank you Hashem They weren't
questioning Hashem. They said ano mil.
There's only one Hashem. And I think
that of course as we we're we're um
we're here to gather for for the family
and as a community at large. And of
course we should see in our lives what
what is one way that that we could
increase our belief our amuna our faith
our trust in Hashem and God. And and of
course that'll be a great great nishant
for Ysef and Larissa Leakub. And the
word call upon um somebody who wrote
Hashem is the father the father Yseph
Amov for some deep zikar and some words
of remembrance.
>> Good evening everybody. Thank you all
for coming. My condolences to the family
of a dear friend, family friend.
The Torah teaches us
called the light good.
And we say
the soul
of a person is the light of Hashem.
Sometimes when we plant seeds, it takes
time to grow.
Even when a a woman is pregnant, nine
months is a time process. So the baby is
born to this world.
It's even brought down bring down that
even before the wife is pregnant 12
months before the wife is pregnant then
connects to the shim and only 12 months
later after connection Hashem sends in
the shama down
to the baby into the stomach of the of
of the mother
says that the soul enjoys So much when
we have candles for the nama the soul
gets pleasure
because the soul is part of the light
which comes from the mind.
There are many questions to ask why this
happened.
But we don't ask Hashem questions. We're
not meant to find answers. We're meant
to just carry on and to believe that
Hashem knows best.
the passing of a young pure baby which I
was
and to name the baby Ysef and they add
to the name a baby so pure so cute so so
beautiful untouched with no sin
it's very hard to stay silent the Torah
says when Aron Aron's kids passed away
was silent he didn't even say anything
about it he was quiet
yet bring down a few anchors
Not answers, lights, not explanations,
just so we can understand a little bit
to give us some comfort to our soul. The
says
that before a child is born, an angel
comes teaching the entire Torah and the
Torah remains engraved in his
let your heart cling to my words.
Observe my commandments and live. Then
angels the angels hits the mouth hits
over here and he forgets the entire
Torah. Like it says
explain they don't come to the world to
struggle they come to complete the
Benishai writes that there are certain
souls descend only briefly because their
their their tikun the rectification was
already achieved in the previous gilgul
and the short say they have is the final
of their tikun the final seal of their
tuna
brings
the babies who leave this world in their
tenderness in their young young years
they're called holy candles holy
a candle does not live long but its
purpose is not length a purpose of a
candle is to bring light as a wall used
to say that's how you say a little bit
of light in a dark room pushes away a
lot of darkness and this is why we just
passed over kanuka which
to bring the light.
These are called
they ascend without judgment, no
accusations. They're pure. There's no
gum. There's no there are pure
straight [clears throat] back to the
source. As we see in
when he passed away, it says over there
that he went back to his source. Who was
the source?
was
and he went back to his original and he
came back all the way to his place.
The zor says there are some souls that
come to to give to others to awaken the
parents to elevate the house to bring
mercy to the world to bring tikun for
the generations.
Such a soul is a messenger not a
resident.
The Ni says
constantly cries and he cry and she
cries and it says Hashem answers
I'll explain that those tears that we
cry that we cried are never wasted the
amount of the parents put into the child
the friends and family so much we put so
much love so much it's not wasted
they build worlds they shatter decrees
and that accompanies the of the child
forever ever.
Little Ysef Kim,
he did not walk the path of this world.
He did not walk the path of sin. He
didn't struggle.
He had some suffering that we can't
understand why, but Hashem knows.
The Zor says that there are righteous
souls that do not need a long descent to
this world because some souls are sent
not to be tested, but only to illuminate
some light to the world.
Some theor brings down
that
there are righteous ones who leave this
leave because they're they're they're
too pure for the generation. They're too
pure.
Says
this is a this is a a good name is
better than fine oil. It refers to a
child who leaves this world free with no
sin.
complete finishing his mission.
The Zora reve something a little bit
deeper. He says the unused years of the
righteous children are given to the
merits of the parents to the merits of
who who's who need extra years of the
life. It goes to them. It's not wasted.
Says when we have We have afflictions.
Take it through love. Hashemists only
cleansing and purifying our souls. The
moral explains the pure the soul the
less the body can contain it because the
go the body is goof. It's it's physical.
The souls
says
meaning the death of little babies is
not a punishment
because the zorah says it's actually why
because the world is so corrupt and so
impure that it would suffer. It would
stay here any longer.
So Hashem did and brought it right to
the
passed on 27th of which is
I was looking at Yehuda's name which
this week's para it talks about and
Yehuda is the first letter is last
letter is hey y is 15 is last letter is
bud it's gim 27
27 when passed and he was buried on on
the day of co The day he passed was 30
Kaneka, which is the day we pray for
kids. And the fourth day we pray for
healing because Hashem was there with
you guys to console you and to give you
comfort.
With that, I'll finish with a story, a
very powerful story, a true story of a
woman, a nurse in the hospital.
Her name was Brahi. She worked in the
oncology department. And there was a
lady named Shirley that was 74 years old
that was very not doing well in her
final weeks of her life.
And Shirley asked Brahi, "Are you
married?" "Yes." "Are you Jewish?"
"Yes." "How many kids do you have?" "I
have one boy and one girl."
And Shirley started crying. And Broy
said, "Why are you crying? Did you hear
anything wrong?"
Says, "Let me tell you my story.
My parents survived Ashawitz. All their
siblings, all their parents, they all
died.
I was the only one that was born after
the after the after the Holocaust in
1948 before Israel became a state.
And Shirley says to Brahi, the nurse, I
was a rebellious one. I went off to
Derek. I married a and my parents
sat sha for me for 10 years. didn't talk
to my parents.
After time passed, I divorced this man
and I went back to my parents. It wasn't
the same. It was very hard, very
difficult.
But I didn't I I I didn't remarry.
And she says, "Bro, you're Jewish. Can I
do something? I'm I'm I have three I'm
about to die. Can I do something to fix
myself? I have nothing in this world."
And Brahi was crying and she was crying
and Brahi says, "I have one thing. My
friend got engaged. Her wedding is in
two weeks. The parents can't afford the
wedding. They're short 25K. Can you help
out?" This Shirley took out her
checkbook. 25K. I'm running right now.
What's the name? Who am I writing out
to? She says, "The name is Sarah Lea."
And surely on the hospital bed, she's
crying again. She said, "Why are you
crying?"
She says, "My name is Sar Lea."
And I'm crying because I'm giving my my
last check to the final name of to help
the wedding. And two weeks later, she
passed away.
Rabai, we're here tonight to understand
something very powerful.
Why do we have to wait to grab what we
can take what's in front of us? The
Torah, the
Why wait till it's too late. Grab
everything you can. Tell your kids I
love you. Tell him I love you again.
Show love and bring. Let's bring Mashia.
Let's see again. I want to see this
baby. I only held him twice in my life.
The first day is Britain. The last day
when he left.
>> I want to see him back. I want to see
everybody come back.
didn't live a long life but he lived a
true one a life of
and as hard as this is may send the
family condolences may be bound in the
bond of life may his parents seek
comfort not answers but meaning and may
be miter an advocate of mercy for the
children of Is and for the family thank
you very much
>> thank Of course, of course we should
have in mind
we're going to we're going to be having
um our V right after this year is our
great great
such inspiration, such light for not
only this community but so many through
through this amazing sh in person and
thousands of people see it online. It's
our great great
evening everybody.
It's a tremendous for
however the continues and says
from here the family should only have
continuous
and
tremendous
and they'll be able to get up and what
doing today especially how they
emphasized how they want the to be full
of Torah full of
as opposed to maybe other ways that
could have been done. They decided they
wanted to do it the unconventional way
and they wanted to have aim
and that is definitely of the greatest
things that you could do for the little
there's nothing like being
and everyone that came you're giving
them and you're giving of course the
child
and he should be a for the family and
you should only have
and continuous
these weeks. We're learning about Yati.
Ysef Sadik was one of the greatest
legends that ever lived. One of the most
amazing legends that ever lived. And if
you look at the life of Ysef Sadik and
you think about it, it really doesn't
make sense how he ended up. Yseph
started as a child and his mother was
Raelu which is one of the greatest
ladies that ever lived and his father
was Yakovu one of the greatest men that
ever lived. He was the child of the
greatest of people. He was brought up in
Yakobinu's house. He's one of the 12
Shiva team. His brothers are
unbelievable people. And by the time
that Ysef was 17, he already managed
that little boy, that child already
managed to learn what Yseph and his
father Yakov learned. In all 14 years
inv
what he learned by the time he was 77,
Yseph already had it by 17. All those 14
years of Torah that Jacob had in and all
that tora that he had it by 17. He was
the
you know what that means to be withd
Ysef was learning to with every day. All
he knew was Torah. He was living life on
the greatest high. And then in one day
everything changed. Literally in a
moment he went he's looking for his
brothers and you think he ever thought
maybe he wouldn't go go home that day.
You think that that would that would be
the last time that Ysef is going to be
initi
thinking, "Ah, today's my last day
waking up in this holy land."
And it was and he never made it back
during his lifetime to.
And from there, it was seemingly just
and only downhill. And he was sold sold
again. He ends up in Portif's house, one
of the most tame people to say the
least. And his wife is no better. And he
was in the worst of places and the most
tame of places. And his life could have
been in a tail spin just thinking, "What
in the world is happening over here? I
just want to learn Torah. I just want to
be with you. WHAT WHAT IS GOING ON?" And
the next thing he knows, he has to serve
He's giving him tea. What zoot does even
have to even look at the face of that
sadik and now he's the servant of
and he's getting tested now and then
after he passes the test he's in jail
for 12 years and he could have said I
didn't really sign up for this I don't
know what's going on I just wanted to
learn Torah and now by the time he's 30
he spent 13 of those 30 years in the
worst place on earth called Egypt
He spent 12 of them in a pit.
How does Yseph make it out alive? It
doesn't make sense if you think about
it. Not only does it make sense to me
that Ysef made it out alive and not only
alive physically, he made it also alive
spiritually that even Yakov when he
heard that Ysef is alive spiritually, he
says, "I don't believe it." He said,
"Daddy, Ysef's alive spiritually. I
don't believe you. It's impossible." He
thought that Yseph is going to be alive
spiritually now and he's going to be in
Egypt and he's going to be sick. Yseph
is alive spiritually. That's impossible.
Yakov says, "I don't believe he's not
alive spiritually. He's alive
physically." Maybe spiritually he has
God in his life. He's talking about
Hashem. He's connected to God. I don't
believe that says Yakov.
And he the says that he did not believe
the team when they came and they told
him that Ysef is alive. And not only
Yakov, the Shvatim didn't believe that
Yseph would be alive spiritually.
And when they went to go look for Yseph
in Egypt, you know where they went to go
look for Ysef.
I can't even tell you where they went.
However, Kazal said that they went to go
look for him in Tame places because they
thought that that's where he be. That's
where he'd be. He's not sitting and
learning a bit midrash. They said if
Ysef is alive in Egypt, he's in a no
good place at all. Because a boy like
that to be able to succeed in his life,
it's practically impossible.
And they all signed off on Ysef. AND
YOUR BEAT EVERY SINGLE ODD.
YOU PRACTICALLY HAVE A BETTER CHANCE, I
THINK, MAYBE, to win the 999 million
mega tonight than Ysef making it out
alive spiritually in in Egypt. That
doesn't make sense. That was impossible.
humanly speaking for Ysef to be alive
and not only alive he makes it out and
second to the king and he's alive
spiritually and he's connected to God
and he's king from the age once he's out
of the pit he gets out at the age of 30
for the next 80 years he has
unbelievable
how do you do it how did you
unbelievably pass the tests and get out
of a pit
And now you're on top of the chain and
on top of that ladder in Egypt. Where
does your come from?
How did you succeed?
And something that we have to know about
is that he had a very important
ingredient in his life.
And that amazing ingredient in his life
and it's and it's by far the most
important ingredient is one word called
simka.
Simka is happiness. And Yseph believe it
or not did not lose for a moment for one
second his in the pit. He was in jail
for 12 years. He was full of simka.
How do we know? You look at the pisukim.
He even tells the after he shows that
he's Y. He tells them,
"Do not be sad." Ysef didn't come to ask
for, you know, tips in life. They just
need food. Send them back home. He says,
"I'm sending you back home. Just do me a
favor. Do not be sad." Because if you're
sad in life, it's the worst ingredient.
What a Jew needs to have at all times is
the big word called happiness. And Yseph
was constantly bim he was so bim that
told us that in the end of Yakov's life
after he passed away and they buried
Yakov they went they went to go bury him
the brothers they came back with Ysef
and they were a little scared that maybe
Ysef might now retaliate that they sold
him now get them back. So they go to Y
they go to Ysef and they say Yseph by
the way daddy said forgive the brothers
he because they did bad to you so
forgive them. And Yseph started crying.
Why'd he cry? Because Yseph cannot ever
comprehend the word
bad.
The brothers did bad to me. How did
Yakov say that? HOW COULD YAKOV, HOW
COULD MY DADDY SAY TO MY BROTHERS DID
SOMETHING THAT'S BAD? NOTHING IS BAD.
THERE IS NOTHING THAT'S BAD. IT'S
IMPOSSIBLE. AND HE STARTED CRYING.
That word WAS NOT IN HIS DICTIONARY.
THERE IS NO RAH. HE WAS SO FULL OF SIM
IN HIS LIFE THAT HE COULDN'T COMPREHEND
THE WORD BAD. IT WASN'T THERE. HE'S
GOOGLING. What in the WORLD IS MY DADDY
SAID? It's impossible. and he started
crying. Didn't did the bad to me.
Did they did nothing bad to me at all?
His whole life was full of you were
thrown into pit.
He's coming from he lived it. He
experienced that his was taken off of
him. He was living with
he was taken away.
God knows what he's doing.
thrown in a pitif
and now he's thrown INTO A PIT AGAIN
AND YOU'RE THERE FOR 10 YEARS. THANK
YOU. AND THEN ANOTHER TWO YEARS
that's
full. God knows what he's doing of
course and that's why people that's how
he DOES IT. HASHEM KNOWS WHAT HE'S
DOING. He never made a mistake in his in
his entire EX CREATION OF THE WORLD.
There wasn't ONE TIME THAT GOD EVER MADE
A MISTAKE SINCE HE created the world
till today. He will never make a mistake
in the entire existence and the creation
in the entire life of the world. God
never made a mistake.
He always was. He always will be and
he'll be eternal. And Hashem never will
make a mistake. And Ysef understood
that. And he said, "How could this be
bad?" And he started crying. I can't
believe my father would say that. And
how did his father say those words? He
didn't. He never said that word to the
brothers. He never said once that it was
bad.
And Ysef lived that life of complete sim
knowing that everything that Hashem does
is for the good.
And the question is how does a person
get to such a level? How does a person
get to that unbelievable level to always
be
and to really grow in. There's a great
rabbi in um there's a phenomenal rabbi
is his name is Rabbi Dugasi used to live
and be well he wrote many books about
many phenomenal books and many of his
are spreading his Torah and building on
it and then he wrote another book and he
wrote in the beginning of the book that
everything he said until now is of
course imit because he sources it and he
says however it's not enough. It's not
enough for a Jew to know that everything
that happens is coming.
It's not enough
means that it's coming from
it's it's coming under Hashem's divine
providence and it's coming. He says it's
good to know that and you have to know
that. However, it's not enough to know
that everything that happen that is
happening in a person's life is
and he he says it's not enough to know
that everything that Hashem does is
perfect because it still hurts.
Sometimes it's painful. The guy
suffering,
it's perfect. They know it's perfect.
They know Hashem's doing it. It still
hurts.
And he says it's not enough to know that
it's
that it's FOR THEIR GOOD BECAUSE IT
STILL hurts sometimes.
It's not enough for a person to know
that Hashem is the one that does
everything and it's for the person's
good because sometimes they are still
going through suffering.
He says what audi needs in their life.
And he says especially in our generation
if not more than ever is to know
everything Hashem does
is
with tremendous love.
How much do I think in my day not that
Hashem is running the world that Hashem
loves me today that I wake up and that I
say ah Hashem you love me Hashem you
love me and sometimes as parents we know
that yes we have to say no to our
children however does it mean that we
don't love our children does it mean
that we don't care for them of course
not
parents that love their children know
how to say no and a child that doesn't
understand that they say ah The little
child said, "Daddy, I can't get, you
know, the game I want. You don't love
me. You're right. I don't love you. Let
me tell you. I I I don't How do you know
I don't love you? You're right. In the
middle of the night, I wake up three
times to go check on your bedside to see
how you're feeling because you had fever
during the day. I uh speak to the
teachers constantly about you. I'm
constantly thinking about how to make
sure that you can have a comfortable
life and you can have that roof over
your head and you can have food and
drinks and good friends and my whole
life is revolved around you. And then
the child says and and daddy you should
know you don't love me. Ah that that's
that's good to know that you think your
father doesn't love you. Nice. Okay. I
don't love you. I guess I don't. Okay.
How'd you know I don't Are you kidding?
has to know at all times that
loves us
loves me.
is he his LOVE FOR ME IS endless
and Hashem is out constantly
to give me
and all he's doing [clears throat]
is giving me constantly
thinking how to give me more
and if a yud does not know that then
they are missing a big part of their
life and that's what he says that a
person has to know that everything is
every single thing. And he says
behind every person's tests
and suffering
and with all of God is so to speak
concealing himself
behind all the questions
and the questions that a person has
and not understanding God's
is God's endless love.
Endless mercy
constantly showing us an unbelievable
face of love
like a father that pats the child's
cheek.
And even though it doesn't look like
that to you and you should know
there's someone that's suffering with
you. As the pas says, God is with you
and you're on the floor and God's on the
floor with you. And I remember one time
as a one of my children, they did
something that they shouldn't have done.
One of the times they did something,
someone's feeling your pain. One one
time my child did something he shouldn't
do. I took them to the side. I said,
"That was very wrong. What you did, you
shouldn't have done that. You know, you
shouldn't have done that. Then I'm going
to have to punish you.
So, I take the child and I uh put them
in the room. I put them in their bedroom
and then I closed the door and then I
locked the door to the bedroom and then
I sat down on the floor next to the
child and the child's confused and
they're like, "Daddy, you're calling me
uh you know, you're telling me that I'm
punished. What are you doing here?" I
know you're punished. However, you
should know I'm with you. You can't go
out of your room now. You're in
punishment. However, I want to spend
some time in the punishment with you.
When a person is suffering, he's saying
you're not by yourself.
Someone that's with you
in the pits.
He's crying with you. Is with you
and he's looking after every single one
of your children.
Someone he says someone that looks at
Hashem like someone that loves you. If
you realize Hashem is inv
there's no questions in life. And if you
look at God
forbid as an ov then there's no answers.
How do you look at Hashem? He's holding
a stick. He's out to get you. You're
lost.
You see Hashem as the God that loves you
and you feel the and you say the in the
MORNING OF
with feeling, WOW, YOU GAVE ME BACK MY
EYES TODAY. Thank you God.
And walking to and saying it by the red
light and pulling out. We begin our day
with 20 thanking God. And sometimes we
forget how much he gives and how much
Hashem loves us. And it's for to ever
think that Hashem doesn't love them. You
know how Ysef was constantly and always
able to be
because God is with me. He felt Hashem
with him. He felt is with me. HOW CAN I
BE NOW? GOD IS WITH ME. Hashem is with
me. And Rapinka says if someone only
knew how much Hashem is with us all the
time,
then how could there ever be?
Yehudi must always know and understand
that Hashem is not only with us, he
loves us and he's out to help us at all
times. He's looking how to help us, so
to speak. So to speak and he wants to
give us more and all he wants to do is
give more.
That's all Hashem wants to do for you,
so to speak. and constantly thinking
how you could have an awesome life.
[clears throat] He's he cares about us
more than we care about oursel and he
feels our pain more than we could feel
our pain. And when sees Hashem as an
that's what he did his whole life he
lived with Hashem he's by I don't care
where I am I'm with
and he's getting tested by
is with me and he's thrown into a pit
I'm with God and he's standing in front
of whoal are you your little puppet
you're nothing
who are
Elohim. It's all God. You're nothing.
You're a puppet. I'm nothing. It's all
Hashem. Uh, you know, he's speaking to
Mr. Kofair, number one in the entire
world. I don't think Par right now wants
to hear that uh, you know, there's a God
on earth. You know, that that doesn't
really sit well with him because he
doesn't serve God. He thinks the sheep
some mazalot whatever it might be you
know maybe just you know don't say
hashem's name now you know don't say
god's name don't say anything about god
to par you know leave religion out of
this
you know don't say anything about hashem
like you know sometimes you're on the
phone with you call the bank and
representative picks up or it might be
any company that you're calling any
store and they ask you how's your day
you know when Jews ask us we
And then all of a sudden when you know
TD Bank is on the phone, how's your day
good
and not good? You know what would do?
He'd be he wouldn't be on the phone with
TD Bank. And if he was TD Bank, he had
all the flu. And if he is going to speak
to anyone, he would say to them, "Oh,
how's my day?"
Thank God everything is great today.
Thank God everything's amazing.
Sometimes we feel a little uncomfortable
as us you know we don't have to speak
religion to people why not
spoke to relig to everyone about
religion everything is great thank god
god gives me everything okay so you
don't have to start being and everything
however you say thank god say it all the
time and does that even to he says
you're nothing the only one that could
help you is god if god helps you then
you're good if he doesn't help you then
you're done and he had that
understanding that
always is with the
and that's why if you see in the says
the great rabbi unbelievable rabbi
phenomenal there's an amazing rabbi
called
he says twice in
that's the
he starts off
with using an amazing phrase called
which means hashem is with me at all
times that's how he begins
And in the end by
the same rabbi, he ends off with an
amazing line. It's actually a that says
someone that has a good heart. He's
always
and everything is good. How do I get to
that level that a person could always
beh
says
he says that both tamides go hand in
hand? If you have
if you have
God is with me then you'll have to then
you'll always be how do you get that
level of having the in the life by
knowing that is with you. If you know is
with you your day is awesome. It can't
get better. And if you don't know that
is with you then what do you have from
the day? It's all about knowing that is
constantly with us and can never forget
that is teaching us how important it is
to be and even when someone might be
going through they can know that they
have to hold on to this and how do they
hold on to the because God is not
leaving me and he's holding on to me and
he's with me at all times and this is
not coming from an ov it's coming from
an ov and he knows exactly what he's
doing and if someone really understood
that if they could go back in time and
they were asked if you could do it all
over again, what would you want to do?
If you could replay history and he could
change something,
then they would say, I wouldn't want it
to be any other way at all. It wasn't up
to me. It was up to Hashem. He did it.
It's perfect.
And who was asked that question?
Because when he was a little boy, when
he was a child in the Rebi got up in
class one day and he said, "Children, if
he could go back and he could change one
thing that ever happened since the
creation of the world over 5,000 years,
what would you change?" If you could
change anything,
what would you change?
He told his rabbi that he would change
nothing
because if that was done by Hashem, of
course, then it's perfect. Why would I
change it? He knows what he's doing.
Everything that Bam does is unbelievably
perfect. [clears throat]
And as humans, we don't understand that.
And Ysef is the one that is teaching us
that we don't have to understand it.
We have to know it.
And he lived a life of 13 years which
could have been pain and he wasn't
suffering even for one moment because
when Yehoud knows that Hashem is with me
then how could he be in pain? One of the
biggest and most important misim that we
say every day is a mis called mour
that mour has to be sung in the that's a
out of the entire the only piece of the
that has to be sung is
that is the first that we say which is
right after the
right after immediately the first thing
that we praise Hashem is
and what do we say in that unbelievable
serve God with tremendous happiness
and then we say
how could a person get to that level of
having that
you should know
that Hashem which of course is the name
of
using the mercy
that name of Hashem
that you know that gave you who
he's the same God
that when there seems to be judgment
that judgment is coming from the God
that is merciful
and anything that happens is only coming
from Hashem,
from the
from the good because Hashem wants to
help somebody
and
he is my creator
and of course I belong to him.
God who created me knows me infinitely
greater than I know myself who he made
me and he knows what's good for me and
he knows what's good for yourself and he
knows what's good for every single one
of us and anything that is happening is
of course coming from
and it's coming
had that in his life he was able to
beimh at all times no matter what
because he always knew that God is with
me. And the says
he felt God is with him and you're able
to have and even writes something
unbelievable that Ysef in the name of
the midrash
he was always talking to God even when
he was in Egypt and he's by himself and
he felt stranded he was constantly
talking to Hashem.
HASHEM AND HE WAS ALWAYS THINKING,
"HASHEM IS WITH ME. HASHEM is with me.
Hashem is with me." He never let go of
that concept that God is with him. Yes,
it might be painful. Yes, YOU MIGHT FEEL
LIKE YOU'RE BY YOURSELF. HOWEVER, remind
yourself that you're not by yourself.
When you do that, now where's the pain?
You don't have pain because you know
you're with Hashem. It's the best thing.
And sometimes as humans we forget
and it's important that we remind oursel
it's very it's extremely important that
loves us. It's not enough to know that
Hashem runs the world. It's not enough
to know that everything that Hashem does
is perfect. We have to also know that
it's done with tremendous.
When's the last time someone said Hashem
loves me?
When's the last time we said ah when was
the last time we just closed our eyes
for a moment in such a busy world
running from one thing to another and
even running to the mitzvot sometimes
you could also get carried away even
there when's the last time we stopped
and we said wow God you love me
God you love me and you want to know how
much he loves you
that if God forbid there's a Jew that's
dying on Shabbat
which we know that to desecrate Shabbat
is of the worst things in the world
and it's of the highest crimes possible.
Yet, if a Jew is dying, the says you
have to desecrate the holy day in order
to save Hashem's child.
It's amazing now is driving cars on
Shabbat and they're taking people to
hospitals. And you would think, okay,
you know, you got in a car on Shabbat,
you know, you know, you put the car on
and if you weren't going to save that
guy's life, you know, they would have
stoned you 2,000 years ago
if you had witnesses and you were warned
and and and you just went and now that
same act
is a mitzvah.
And not only is it a mitzvah, not not
only is that act
that member has to make Shabbah to go
save Hashem's child, it's not like
you're allowed to, you have to. And not
only you have to, even if there's a
chance that you might not even succeed,
it could be by the time you get there,
someone else might get there before you,
and you don't even know if the guy's
going to make it. 5% chance.
there's a 1% chance
says you have to shabbat and if the
salam member after was not successful
God forbid and the patient passed away
when he goes back home the says that
that person needs zero kap from Shabbat
what he did okay at the end of the day
you drove a car for two hours I tried
okay you failed look you did nothing the
guy died I tried Should he do? No.
Should he say, "GOD, I'M SORRY. I DROVE
A CAR ON YAMIPUR." NO. DON'T say that on
Yamipur. Why? Because he did the
mitzvah. And not only that, you're going
to get rewarded for trying to save a
Jew's life. Unbelievable.
[clears throat] Unbelievable. Now, what
if it took two Jews to make Shabbat to
go save that Jew's life?
Says both of them have to run. And what,
God forbid, there's a little girl that's
lost in the forest. And it would take
500 people to make a little Shabbat and
take flashlights and drive with cars and
go look for that little girl on a Friday
night in a forest. And we don't even
know if she's there. We just can't find
her. And we have to look all over cuz
she could be stuck in the forest. Says
that all of them have to go now.
Wow. That's how important the little
girl is. And she's not even 12. She's a
5-year-old little girl. And Hashem says,
"You all have a mitzvah in the Torah to
go. You're commanded to make.
Do you understand how much
God loves us? And what if it would take
hypothetically
every single Jew on earth to make
Shabbat to go save one Jew is that they
all have to do it? Unbelievable.
And you're doubting does Hashem love me?
Hashem told us as a nation that we we
are to make Shabbat to save your life
and you you don't know that God loves
you. YOU FORGOT THAT HASHEM LOVES YOU
and that could be of the biggest sins
that anyone could do in their life. How
could you forget that Hashem does not
love you?
How can you think Hashem does not love
you? How can you think Hashem does not
love you?
That's of the biggest ever. And we
actually say this concept twice every
day in a form.
And right before we say, "God, I love
you." We say,
"Who picked
and he loves me." Now you could say and
he could say that you love God. However,
first you better know that you Hashem
loves you more. Do you understand that
Hashem loves you and that is what a yud
can never forget. A yud is never allowed
to forget at any time how much Hashem
loves us and that he's always there with
us. And it's amazing says Rabbi Lugassi
that if you look at it whatever
suffering a person might go through God
who put the person through that
suffering however he never intended that
that person should be meu ash and give
up hope and feel alone and what does
Hashem do
he dis he took the whole nation and he
commanded them to go take that person
and to lift him up if there's a person
that had a multi-million dollar business
and he lost He he was a
multi-millionaire and now he's on
welfare.
The guy he could feel he was driving
around with the Maserati and now he's
going on a on a city bus. He can't even
get a bike.
The Torah says,
"If your brother is going to fall down
in his business, we have a mitzvah in
the Torah all of us to go put him back
on his feet." And that means that we
have a mitzvah to buy him a Maserati.
That's unbelievable concept. We I have
to buy him Maserati. Yeah. Why? Because
you see your brother Hit. Hashem says go
pick him up. Him. If you don't want him
to, you know, not to have what you want
for me. You You don't You took away his
money. Hashem says, "I took away his
money. However, he might feel down. Go
pick him up."
And if there's someone that's sick in
bed and it's wow what a day and he feels
like he's all alone, Hashem commanded
Ben is go visit him
and has a mitzvah in the Torah to go do
and to go sit by the bedside of the sick
person to make sure he's feeling good.
What the has to come to me? I'm that
important. I mean something. Of course
you're important. Hashem made a person
sick for whatever reason. He knows he's
perfect. However, that a person should
ever feel depressed and down. Hashem
says, "I'm going to send the nation to
your house and they're going to knock on
your door and everyone's going to come
in with four balloons and ice cream cake
from think Sweet all these doors and
they're going to say better. We're
praying for you. We put the signs up.
We're having classes
and already sent 20 million people in
the nation. They're all praying for you.
And if someone, God forbid, lost a
relative,
then Hashem commanded the nation, go
take from your precious time and sit
next to him in his home and go feel his
pain and see what he needs. And you
think Hashem is not with you. You think
Hashem wants to punish you. You think
Hashem is he's he wants to get you. If
Hashem wants to get you, then it's over.
Don't worry. He's he has no problem
doing that. It's already over. If Hashem
wants to make someone's life miserable,
he has it's over.
Hashem doesn't want yudi to shalom when
he's going through the suffering. He
can't he can't go on thinking that
Hashem doesn't love him and Hashem sends
the entire nation now to go
loves us.
There's one thing that I could keep
reminding myself and I have to remind
myself is that Hashem is the greatest
and most unbelievable and phenomenal
oif.
My daughter once came over to me many
years ago. She was younger at the time.
She must have been I don't know a few
years old. Old enough obviously to talk
maybe she was uh five six I don't
recall. And she says, "Daddy Abba,
Hashem could do anything
except one thing."
And I was about to rip on her.
Anything except one thing. Shalom. How
do you talk like that? Where's my
tuition going? How could this be?
And I
relaxed a little. I heard it. I had to
think if I was if it was really what I
heard
and instead of just lashing at her,
I said, "Okay, braha." And uh please
tell me what is it that you uh think
that God cannot do? And she said, "God
is not able to stop ever loving me.
>> He could stop. He can't. I word it. I
hear what you're saying." Okay. Not bad.
Not bad. Okay. I don't know exactly the
logistics. He could, he can't. The idea
is that a little GIRL UNDERSTANDS THAT
GOD LOVES ME. Does she have the biggest
house?
Does she have all the the games that she
wants? God loves me. What? I don't know
what what I get. God loves me. He knows
what I need. THIS IS PERFECT to me. He
gave it to me. Everything I have,
everything I need, everything that's
good for me, he's going to give ME CUZ
HASHEM IS OUT TO GIVE ME AND to help me.
He's not out to get me. He's not here to
make your life miserable.
He's here to help you.
And if a person doesn't know that, they
could be missing out of the greatest
foundations of their avo.
We have to constantly remind oursel how
much we are loved by Hashem himself.
Wow. I'm that priceless
that the whole had salah would have to
the whole system just to save even one
Jew. Unbelievable.
>> And everyone was going to is going to is
obligated to do whatever they could just
to save my life. Wow. I'm that precious.
And if God forbid everyone ever needs a
medicine in the middle of the night and
and God is already telling all of us
that we have to go, that we're already
taking that he's already taking care of
us. Yseph felt that at all times. He
lived a life with Hashem. He always
lived in.
And when you have that, you're never
alone. You're in the best place on
earth. You could be anywhere. You could
be in Cananan. He could be in Egypt. He
could be in a pit. But he fought his
house in jail in Egypt. Nothing makes a
difference. Hashem's right with me. He's
And he felt it. He felt at all times
with him.
So I think in
honoring Leonatim
who's doing a lot for us because it's
only him right now that this class is
even happening
and he already contributed a wealth to
the world.
At one point it is that we reciprocate
maybe a little bit and we can't just
walk away with hearing something and
maybe some bit and it's always important
to me ourself even a little bit and we
got to walk away with something we got
to walk away maybe with a
that I accept upon myself to strengthen
something in my life
that little sadik and I'm not going to
be the same person because he taught me
how fragile life is. He taught me how
valuable life is and I'm not just going
to take my life and now wither it away
and like the rabbi say before to make a
change.
And the question is what can I do?
Well, the first thing that you have to
know is that a change makes a
difference. I was driving yesterday on
the Garden State and as I was going back
to Flatbush,
the traffic going south was horrendous.
I couldn't believe it. Literally, it was
like a parking lot. Thousands of I was
just driving.
There wasn't traffic and then I noticed
that the other way all you see is
headlights of the cars and cars pretty
much standing still. Oh boy. And this is
going on for I don't know how long and
it's just piling up and we're driving
and the cars are still standing there
and more cars are moving in and
whatever. And I'm like they don't even
know what's ahead of them and thousands
of cars are stuck in traffic
and that they could have been doctors
that had important meetings to go to,
lawyers,
anyone.
Thousands of people their life changed.
It's unbelievable to think about it. And
wherever they had to get to, there was
maybe another person that their life was
changed because of them. So if they were
a patient and they're late to their
appointment, then that affected the the
dentist and the doctors and the husbands
are going home for dinner and the the
wives now waiting and the children.
Thousands of people were affected from
that small accident. And what caused the
small accident? One guy.
Maybe there was one guy on his phone
texting and driving. got into a small
fender bender. Car spins, closes two and
a half lanes. Have a good day. Thousands
of people are going to have a different
day only because of one person. One
person made a small move and that will
affect thousands of people. And it goes
exactly the opposite as well. That one
Jew that does something good. You should
know that it doesn't end only with you.
It could be affecting thousands and tens
of thousands of people on earth all over
the globe in the entire universe only
because of your one act. So if someone's
going to say no I'm just one Jew well
one person yesterday cause caused a huge
pileup a tremendous pileup. So one
person can do a lot of damage. And like
Ra Weinberg, the great Russ or Shalom
used to say, if one person, if we could
use that word, could kill 6 million
Jews,
then one Jew could build 6 million Jews
at least. So we have to know that our
actions are great and everyone that does
something, even if it seems maybe small
to you, however, it's not really small.
And like the says,
if you make a small move to be a little
pure, then in get so much
and phenomenal help and assistance that
that little bit, forget it. It could
change your life and you just make a
small move and all of a sudden 5 years
down the road, you look back, you're
thinking, "Wow, how did I end up here?"
Oh, it all started with that small
cabala and now all of a sudden that boy
five years later has already been Torah
and his wife is different. His whole
family is different and he's all his
children are different. All these little
kids and grandkids forever will be
different and all that started because
he made that small move. Why he make
that small move?
All that's going to get credited back to
that little sadik.
So any small move that we make
and any any small move we have to
realize is very big. So I definitely
think it's very important that we meet
in something after tonight and to take
some time and to think what am I going
to do better how could I enhance my
perhaps a little bit nothing crazy small
move and just to share maybe two
thoughts
one at least for the men should
definitely be something to do with Torah
that
on the daily to not go a day without
missing to that we We have to have
Torah. We cannot miss a day of Torah. We
cannot shalom miss one day of Torah.
As a nation, we're to have Torah in our
life every day.
And we have to and say, I got to make
more time for Torah. And told us so many
times over and over, there's nothing
like learning Torah. Make more time for
Torah. Make more time for Torah. more
classes, more learning, more learning
and with Torah anytime and the access to
Torah that we have is phenomenal and
coming to the mid and sitting in front
of a rabbi and learning that you have
Torah in so many languages downstairs is
a group of wonderful people many groups
learning and sitting in a way you can
learn you can learn you can learn
English and Hebrew and Yiddish and
Spanish and Portuguese and French and
Russian and Bkharian
so many languages so many rabbism
pull over rabbi to the side say rabbi I
want to learn I don't have the time it
doesn't fit my schedule could you make
time could you find me something
and we got to make time for Torah and we
got to meet Kazak and our Torah
and I have to realize that my Torah is
priceless so the ladies to push their
husbands and their children that they
should go learn Torah keep pushing them
and ask them did you learn to your
children might not want to learn and
it's going to go into deaf ears and
they're going to want to do whatever
kids do Just ask them anyways again. Did
you learn Torah today? How was your
Torah today? Say that to your children.
Say that to your husbands. Did you go to
your class today? How was it? How are
you? Tell me about it. BECAUSE YOUR
TICKET TO IS THAT THEY'RE LEARNING
TORAH.
Encourage them. Tell them how is your
Torah. You don't want to go tonight.
Okay. The world's going to be missing.
Maybe tomorrow you'll go. Keep asking
them. Keep encouraging them. And give
them that.
And as fathers, we have to make time for
Torah even more. And even in a busy
world and to make more time for Torah,
whatever we could, everyone on their own
level this can't say a number to each
their own. Some people could learn four
hours a day. Some people could learn six
hours a day. Some people could only
learn three hours a day. Some people
only learn one hour a day. Half hour in
the morning, half hour at night. Every
everyone's on a different level.
Everyone has different life. However,
you have a rabbi. You ask them. You go
to your RV and you say, "Rabbi, help me.
I got to get on a program. There's
something called Torah. I'm part of this
nation. I got to get maybe a little bit
more involved. I got to get more Torah
in my life. I'm empty. And without
Torah, a person is really empty. So the
greatest thing that we could do is to
learn Torah because there's nothing ever
greater than learning Torah. As it says
to learn Torah is equivalent to the
entire Torah to all other 612 mitzvot to
equals all of them and it's greater than
all the other 612 mitzvah. And the other
inyan that maybe we could work on is of
course kusha
especially in a generation like ours
where there's tum all over how important
it is that we stay the kad
and we meet in the kadusha
and yeah there's going to be excuses and
reasons for things that we might need on
our phone. However, Yehoud has to know
that nothing ever could take away their
kadusha and it can never be justified
for all the money in the world and Ysef
fought for the kadusha and he was ready
to be in jail for 10 years not to lose
his kadusha and he could have said well
you know
it's before and anyway she's a Jewish
girl and he's having a rough day and uh
at the end of the day the Torah is not
even given yet and he can find the
different excuses and no one's going to
know and there's Kipur and he could do
what are you talking about and after he
was thrown in jail she even came to jail
and she told him Ysef you want to get
out of jail he said get out of here she
offered him pardon she said you'll get
him out he said get out
you ready to stay in jail also of course
I'll do whatever it takes to stay holy
teaches us what it means to be kadosh
Yseph had that life of amuna
we They have to hold on to the kusha and
there are many people that are making
great moves with the social media
deleting things that they don't need
getting off of certain apps that they
don't need to have and the could come
even in the kosher apps to throw things
in and every ounce of kushad that a
person can help himself goes a great way
do not belittle it and [clears throat]
it's not a small
It's huge.
Every little bit of kadusha is a big
thing.
Every gram of kadusha is a big thing.
every test that's passed and every
single time someone's
and every single time a lady decides,
you know what, maybe today she's going
to be a little more modest and she's
maybe not going to wear what she wanted
to to be a little more modest and she's
not going to go because she wants to be
a little more modest.
Is there a price tag on that?
That's priceless.
That's worth trillions and more.
We're the nation that's going to bring
Mashiach.
We can't forget how important we are. We
can't forget how important the kadusha
is. We can't forget how important every
single one of us is and how beloved we
are to that Hashem is always with us
constantly and at all times.
That is
all about knowing that Hashem is with me
and that we are part of Hashem's
unbelievable nation. We are his people.
And we have to act like his people is
that
should be a for his family
>> and the should
and the family should only have and
continuous
and they should be like
only having more.
They should have continuous success in
their life and this is going to be past
them and they they're going to feel with
them. However, they'll never feel down.
They'll only feel full of they'll feel
the in the house. They'll feel the
unbelievable greatness in the house.
They'll feel the extra in the house and
they'll be continuous and all the
children continuing to go
amen.
I meant
