everyone welcome to this very special evening tonight we have a great great honor to call to have of course we're hear first from the Mora by and then speaker by Jonathan RTI this is a joint event of kazak and the Young Israel of hrrest we have tonight's event we partner together on an event a few months ago a singles um speed dating event in so we're looking forward to many more opportunities that we can partner together with the Shu with the community to make impactful programs and initiatives to impact the community um um tonight's event of course um obviously after the lecture as wellone of course um welcome to have some some refreshments with drinks donuts nanica and um the the freshments are dedicated by um publisher of the queen J yako sah nishas S and M is being dedicated thank partnership for the event um and just uh if people aren't familiar with just give a quick word about kazak if people might not know organizes different Shum and events and programs like tonight that Inspire men women in different communities thousands of people throughout the year and kazak's main focus is is the tens of thousands of public school students that are in literally in our neighborhoods your neighbor coworker there's def everyone knows somebody who has kids in public school and kazak is on the Forefront with after school programs Sunday school programs and 20 different locations to inspire thousands of public school students um in over 20 different locations since 2017 kazaka helped transfer over 1700 students from public school to Yesa or hasem and of course for anyone here um if you know of a friend a neighbor coworker well children in public school that definitely reach out to kazak and we'll help give them a Jewish Education through one of our various programs and um we're actually having a special raffle that we're going to put we'll put up like a small Banner in the hallway it's actually we've been doing it for the last few months and the and the raffle is actually ending tomorrow night um at um on December 31st at night so if anyone wants to participate in the raffle it's a 360 raffle where there's only 360 tickets being sold you can win $10,000 and there's only around 70 tickets left so of course everyone if you would like to join there's more information in the hallway or you can see myself of course and um to introduce to just um R sh I I would say something um something something I just heard from Charlie R he's actually a used to be from from from from Hest over here he said that if you look back at the story of kanaka so what do you see you see that the Greeks they wanted to destroy the Torah destroy Judaism the people shouldn't observe it anymore so what happened so so obviously some of the Jews they they they they were threatened that they were going to be killed so of course some of them they weren't they weren't they weren't practicing anymore because because because or else they would have been killed so what happened there a small group of Priests of of Priests of of of Kohan of rabbis and what did they do they were they were hiding in in the caves in order to practice the the Torah so what happened they they they said to themselves I'm saying if if you imagine that that that you go outside of Yeshiva and you see a and you see rabbis people learning one thing's for sure is is you're not going to you're not afraid of them physically if you if you go to Bad Neighbor okay fine you want to cross this street cuz you don't you don't get hurt but I don't think it ever happened in human history that they outside theiva okay fine they see the rabbis coming like oh my wall I got across the street so so so what happened these group of rabbis what are they they're they're going up against the Greek army which is of that time was like the biggest army the greatest army so what happened these the these rabbis what what what does the word makab mean it says they said even though we ourselves maybe naturally we can't defeat the Army but we're going to try our best and Hashem will we will'll take care of the rest and what happened they with this with this with this slogan they what happened they defeated the Greek army and they go into the base of mdash and they see what what what's going on there's only one jug of oil like okay let's use our slogan and they L it it lasted eight days so of course everyone in our lives we all have challenges there's darkness and and and whe whether it's a certain MIT we want to keep maybe it's relationship and we all have darkness and we have to say to ourselves we what I'm going to I have to try my best and I will take care of the rest and of course the the great Rabbi we have rabal is um somebody who does this so much for the community whe whether you see it or not day and night he's up in theity great thank you rabi and I want to thank not just yourself but the entire staff of kazak especially RAB I took a tour of the uh of the offices a number of months back and was thoroughly impressed with the broad array of activities and programs that kazak runs it's really unbelievable what they've done internally externally inreach Outreach to so many different communities it's not just Queens but we definitely feel the effects here in our own neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods but uh the greater Queens and Long Island and uh and so forth are all beneficiaries of the amazing work that uh that is being done and to an extent that we can support and uh and help further your efforts uh is our responsibility especially when it comes to kir we all have responsibility to bring other Jews closer and closer to yish Kai um thank you for partnering with us on this occasion other occasions in the past we hope that we can continue to do so in the future and I'd like to wish a ma toak those of you who have been reading the uh uh local Jewish news especially the Jewish link uh you know that uh the the mayor recently awarded kazak with special honors for uh for their amazing accomplishments and we join in the celebration of of that unbelievable achievement I was asked to share a few remarks uh I'm not the featured speaker so I'm going to keep it short really what I like to do more than anything is uh is follow our community's usual practice of of every night uh reciting uh capital or two of theim especially uh at uh at this time where we have to appreciate that things are not back to normal we've hasem uh enjoyed many victories in the last 14 months but uh there's there's still increase in missiles coming from from Yemen and there are unfortunately fallen soldiers and injured every week and so many people who have not been able to return to their homes and and life is not the way it should be in AR Israel in the state of Israel and I ask you to join me in reciting first chapter 121 K followed by K 130 uh on behalf of our brothers and sisters in AR Israel the IDF the return of the hostages and uh the healing of all those in need of a ru May l brief thought I want to share with you is that uh someone told me I didn't get a chance to read it myself but just the other day one of my Rea colleagues in another Community published an important Essay with the question being a question that so many of us have asked countless times in the last 14 months how is that we can fully celebrate a joyous time a joyous celebration of of Kaneka when so many as we mentioned of our brothers and sisters are not in a position to be able to celebrate at all and many answers have been given to that question I want to share one thing which I think is uniquely relevant right now where we stand and that is the fact that if you turn back the clock by 12 months and compare it contrast it where we are right now we're in a very different place without a doubt the IDF around the world is recognized for the fact that Israel is really a force to be reckoned with in the Middle East Hamas and frankly Iran as well have been brought to their knees and no doubt the effects that have spilled over to Syria are all part of that same package we've seen all that success all the military might that has been displayed is something we are most thankful for but if there would be ever a holiday that we would cease to celebrate in its totality then our yish kite would be missing something in its totality there's a reason why we have at different parts of the year a calendar a cycle of where we're supposed to revisit certain ideas and and deepen our understanding of them consistently every year and right now Kaneka is no different because when we contrast how we are and where we are right now versus 12 months ago it's easy to forget that what we have watched what we have benefited from our people through the success of sah is just as much miraculous just as much the hand of as was the miraculous victory of the the 12 or 13 rabbis as you said who vanquished the superpower of the time the Greeks with tens of thousands if not more troops and in their own day and last year we felt the desperation to call out to not because not because we are atheists in a fox hall but because we know the need to D to hasem but we have to reinforce our sense of even at this time when we are so to speak at the peak of our game with a recognition that it is all the success that is bestowed upon us by that is a dimension of kanuka that cannot elude us and if we celebrated any less this year it would God forbid Escape our radar and not be at the Forefront of our mind one of the many many dimensions and aspects of this holiday that we have to always be engaged in on that note because there are so many dimensions of every holiday it is a great privilege to have RAB Jonathan with us this evening he is literally an internationally renowned speaker not only known for his way of entertaining and engaging and inspiring audiences but for the knowledge and the inspiration that he imparts particularly I know that we will gain from his revelation of New Dimensions of Kaneka that he will discuss with us this evening rabi RI his background besides his rabic background in training and his succcess in in uh flourishing coell in Portugal Rabbi training besides all that his his professional training includes strong background in education in particular working with students who have ADD working within the framework of the montauri system and he's also reached audiences across the globe with over 200 lectures on topics from inner growth Health parenting Jewish identity and his background in the film and advertising Industries maybe he'll tell us about his father ra Robert RTI who was a well-known actor in British film uh all that comes together as he shares powerful insights to his audiences and we thank you so much for your attendance and for kazak's getting you here thank you very much R thank you Rabbi for your very kind remarks and uh introduction special thank you to kazak for inviting me to share with you uh this evening on the important subject of oh sorry this good um Yan reminds me of uh of the Mitzvah in enjoy your work it's really true if you enjoy your work then you you you love every day um this is a really important subject um Hanukah a festival of clarity it's often called the Festival of Lights it's not the name has I'll give it but it's it's uh it's pretty good so I'm going to start off with with the following question what's the greatest re C what's the greatest Clarity we can possibly come to in our lives arguably what's the greatest Clarity we could possibly come to for those still awake a little louder sorry we don't control much we don't control much excellent we are totally dependent so on on the note that you're really referring to we know that this world is called it's it's not real it's false we also know it's called tell us that this is a world that's dark dark means lack of ity she means that whatever you're looking at it's not really the real picture the letters Shin spelling out Shea are placed near the end of the alphabet the alphabet and they're out of sequence they're not in the correct sequence as in contrast to EMT which has the first letter of the alphabet Alf T is the last letter A me is just positioned exactly in the middle to tell you that EMT is is reality we usually translate it as truth that's not a bad translation it's not accurate uh it's okay it's not it's just not the full translation because EMT means reality that was told to me by Rabbi Shimon Schwab EMT means reality because reality has to include the full picture and it has to be in context that's why Alf me and T have to be Jun positions exactly beginning middle and end sh means it's out of sequence and it's out of context cuz right at the end it's not you don't see the picture so we're living in a world which I think you would are I think we've got a few people who are young enough in the room to remember that the media wasn't as powerful 30 40 50 years ago as it is today and the immediacy I don't I think that's an accurate term to use the immediacy of connecting to what's going on around the world on a device where you can almost literally see and hear what's going on in real time real time that becomes a commercial to tell me what appears to be the reality of the situation over there but only Hashem is called EMT no Dian no judge is called EMT in fact re points out that every Diane every single judge in a court of law is not a real judge he can do his best and has to do his best within the perimeters of the Ala and if this person for example there are witnesses who bring evidence that they saw with their own eyes and warn this person before he committed murder this person could get the death penalty according to Jewish law but says the r the judge or judges in this case will be 23 judges at least that sentence him to death are mistaken on the following context how did the wife deserve that she now becomes an almana her husband who gets the death penalty and what about all the children who are now who are now orphans that's not that's not fair so that's why only Hashem is called Dian the real judge because there is no Injustice in God's world in our world we cannot see we cannot we don't understand the Perfection of the calculation of God's justice and so we're totally dependent on relying on Hashem because otherwise how do we understand the whole world Uprising almost the whole world Uprising against us with very few people individuals here and there standing up on our behalf and they are outraged at us defending ourselves against a a pagram of A Sort 1,400 Jews up to 2,000 killed in one day hundreds taken hostage and yet most of the world is outraged at our response as opposed to the the horrific um method in which we were attacked unprovoked so this is it's not a real world so Kana is astonishing in its bright Clarity it reminds us that we are totally dependent on God's reality and that is he controls everything and that he made promises to us one of them chapter 17:7 is that you will be my people forever I am your Elohim l means power Elohim means Powers Elohim in tells us it means god is the one power of all powers that's why it's plural I am your power of all powers I power everything and therefore when I say I'm making a Brit a britam what does Brit mean a covenant an agreement a contract what does mean forever that's a long time this is a covenant this is an agreement forever that I will be for you and your Zara your children I will be your power of all powers forever Abu has promised this he's not he doesn't even have any children yet he's not going to have children for another 30 years and God promised him he he Hashem will be his power of all powers for him and all his children forever now I saw recently and I decid I'm going to do this in my own home uh I saw someone who's got a manura on top of a stand and on the stand there's a plaque on the plaque is the following Egyptian Empire underneath that Babylonian Empire underneath that Persian Empire bantine the Greek Empire Roman Empire and then you've got the the Crusades Inquisition the kacs tatat Zar Russia communist communist Russia Holocaust Jihad and then right at the end says they've all come and gone who's still here and the Manas on top of this stand every night we're lighting another candle reminding us us of everyone who's ever stood up against us where are they today Hold On Tight mh's coming soon we are in extraordinary Times Really extraordinary never in world history H have the Jewish people been able to look at a panoramic view of God's story it's really not history it's his story from the beginning of the Bria 5,785 years ago till today Hashem took a risk to give us promises n of What Not might happen but what will happen because he knows the future and controls it we have but Hashem is so brilliant so to speak that even with all the mistakes we are capable of making and have made and may still be making he will bring about his final Gula Redemption exactly as he wants it to be no matter what mistakes people make it's impossible to sabotage God's agenda for example someone might have a prophecy that God gives him that he will be the leader of the family and all all the siblings will eventually bow down to him last week's paraa spilling into this week's para and YF you know it's interesting rambam explains when a person has n prophecy the clarity of that is unquestionable there is no room for the slightest gray area it's 100% certain the God spoke to this person Yosef receives more than one prophecy and each time he shares it with his siblings they misinterpret it cuz we're in as oh this is a pattern he said lanara about us a few times to us first and then to our father it looks like he's trying to get us in trouble with our father our father has fallen into the subtle manipulation that our brother YF has been doing in order to win his favor and we are we suspect that we have on our hands a pattern thatu gave birth to aishel and Yu gave birth to an as and Yu gave birth to this YF who's assuring our authori we're all older than him and he's winning our father's favor over us and now he's giving over these dreams dreamer nothing but a dreamer and you're claiming that we're all going to bow down to you the next dream is it's worse you're you're saying our father's going to bow down to you and our mother who's she's not even alive ysf held on to The N he he was certain of it what unfolds next plan a let's kill him he's a re he has the din he has the legal status of someone who's trying to move us out of the way and become the leader of the family he's a false leader so we have a halakic obligation to save the Jewish people future by getting rid of him and when he fell into their hands they said hey God's turning up in our lives all the time ysf is right in our hands plan a let's kill him Plan B you know what let God deal with him we'll throw him in a pit and let Hashem kill him the pit is empty except for scorpions and snakes the pit is 20 am deep if you go with a it's about 40t that's that K tell us it's tan that he's fa turned green he he aged in those moments and he was begging his brothers to that they completely misunderstood him and they showed no compassion in fact when they sat down right after they dropped him into the pit they sat down and ate a meal Bim with joy that they finally got rid of this traitor and false Messiah plan C hey let's make a buck on him they sold him now now what do you think is going through yep's mind we're in a world of but Hanah is about Clarity and the only real Clarity is God is real the only real Clarity is that you and I are in a brilliantly disguised world it's so brilliantly designed it it feels and looks real all the time and even scientists you ask any physicist what this world is made up of and he'll tell you it's its atoms you know he can never trust atoms you know why they make up everything so it's just humor British humor what was I going to say I forgotten I have a friend who went to his doctor he said Doctor Doctor uh my memory is I just uh I'm losing my memory I I I I need help so the doctor said when did this first happen when did did what first happen um so not only is he sold again and again and again on his way he manages to escape for a few moments because he passes Bim exactly at the location where his mother Ra was buried and there on her tombstone still there today he pours out his heart and he hears her speak to him from inside the tomb reassuring him that the will be with him all the way this was a huge K to him because he had a prophecy he's going to believe be the next leader and how is that ever going to be if he's going to be slave in a foreign land where he'll be completely cut off permanently from where he came from he arrives in MIM this week's paraa last week's paraa this week's paraa and how old is he 17 years old hmm mhm and there's a lady of the household of potifa who is his new master and and pays for him he himself was so enamored by the good looks of ysf he was extraordinary extraordinarily handsome I'm not going to go into details but potifa his name previously was potifa because he had eyes on ysf and he was going to mess with him so Hashem sent G H to mess with po so that he was incapable of messing with YF this is the sick man that potifa was his wife sua was not very loyal to her husband she changed her clothing twice a day some say three times a day I know none of you might some of you have friends who do that but but this was she she just tried to get his attention this went on for a whole year a seven 1-year-old young man completely separated from his entire family and every day this lady is making gestures and tell us how many times did he look at her in the face zero he never once looked at her K even are made they testify he never even thought of doing an AA with her that's extraordinary no wonder he's called YF and he's not a sadic sadic that's an extraordinary medal to get in this world at 17 years old he's just about turning 18 and he succeeds in being iMed in this Nan he stands up to this extraordinary nasion and what's his reward ends up in jail for how long total of 12 days weeks months years a hostage for years is that a long time to do some thinking how did I get here this is my reward I did the right thing and my reward is I'm thrown into a dungeon and I'm I'm here 10 years plus another two for for a few words of hisas to get me out of here using some uh protex you those were not the thoughts that went through his mind he was an extraordinary towering sadic so much so that in those 12 years do you think it might enter the mind yeah how did I get here oh right I was refusing to be without Isha uh and this is my reward but I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for my brothers first they try to assassinate me then they throw me into a pit where I'm going to die from these scorpions and snakes then they sell me I ever get my hands on my brothers ladies gentlemen he never thought that way how do we know how do we know so you read it in this week's parure and this is this is Kana the clarity how does God want me to go through this world this is not the real world the world of Eternity it's Eternal ISS that's ala that's coming but one second that means we are in this world to rehearse for the next world that's actually why we're here this whole world is one rehearsal what's the greatest accomplishment we can come to so in t number two in his second of a very famous Torah he actually gave it exactly 216 years ago and one day ago and there he equates something astonishing May the days of may they are days of gratitude H has a play on two words cuz is a perfect language there are no mistakes in means gratitude and VI the same sh the same root means admission what's the correlation between the two in English you got a separate word for admitting and it's completely different word for gratitude saying thank you what why why they correlated and the answer is every thank you is an admission that I owe you could not do this on my own grateful to my parents I'm not wouldn't be here if it weren't for you grateful for my siblings I wouldn't have grown up and matured and learned how to deal with difficult and different people if it weren't for my siblings marriage is one long journey of apologies and thank yous someone once told me I'm sorry I've said this before that marriage is not a word it's a sentence um pure humor no reflection on reality whatsoever is one of my favorite words um the brother of the Von in in his he actually says there the word as you know isim is it singular or plural it's actually rabim it's plural so the correct translation is lives because there is no word for life Ines lashes created reality oh so what created the entire universe oh when God spoke so it's the words he spoke which was the AL base these letters which form words created and still do create reality and therefore if there's no word for life the word high is an adjective means alive there's no word for life which means it doesn't exist there's no such thing as a life there's there there's two dimensions and they are interfacing in real time in fact your leaves your body every night your nees remains down here and it has a full report of every waking second of what we thought said and did of that day and there's a judgment that takes place and we agree to the consequences of that judgment every night night and we're surprised when we come back in the morning and that's why we say I can't believe the you gave back to me you you returned it to me and you're going to give it to me the next morning in anticipation of surviving another day and is referring to the full future of after so we don't believe in this world this is only a rehearsal and says in that same Torah the extent to which we are M we admit and with it say thank you we become more more correct translation can mean close as for example close to sundown but also means from which means Reliant SM him the the more we say thank you the more we realize I can't exist without you I can't succeed without you in my relationships with this family I need to turn to you because I've tried so many therapists I've tried so many people to get aners and advice from and it's not working you're the only one I need you to help me please God and that's actually why he squeezes me to get me to pay attention to the the only one who gives me the opportunity to change the only person I was created to change so comes along kanuka and reminds me there's a Clarity and that Clarity is we don't live for this world and to live a world where the culture of the Greeks was saturating the Jewish Community we were losing thousands and tens of thousands of young boys and girls to a culture that was C celebrating the body celebrating food celebrating architecture celebrating art I've got a friend whose wife is a really good artist so he doesn't appreciate her paintings he gets home one day and he says he looks at the wall he sees a paint oh no not another one of your ugly abstract paintings and she says no dear that's a mirror so the Greeks celebrated and glorified this world every aspect of it h says I've given you the most gorgeous beautiful world please enjoy it in fact interestingly the very first command in the Torah was not don't eat from the tree the first command in the Torah actually was mik at G from every single tree in the garden it's a double language means please enjoy really Savor The Taste the texture and hold that dark chocolate in your mouth swish it along slowly slowly slowly for as long as you can because this is only a taste of the world to come enjoy music 22,000 LM Max could be singing can you imagine that and playing instruments in the Bas mikdash as we brought kabus every day we know how to celebrate architecture the mishan the b mikdash a beautiful sh but we use it because we're reminding ourselves this is only a taste of the clarity that God's going to give us when we leave this world so tells us in that Torah that every time we say a thank you we are experiencing a taste of shashu he says the main sh which I'm going to get to the meaning of that word in a few moments is actually the main Joy we're going to experience in the next world is thank you and praise and it will be in proportion to how much we left this world saying thank you and praising now shashu is a very interesting world there's a lot of interesting every word in l c is perfect but it's it behooves us to check out the two or three letter Shish of a word in order to understand the intent behind it because if I don't translate it according to the intent I might actually be setting my brain on a completely different trip and I don't notice what Hashem wants me to take out of this word there are a number of words that that Express the Ecstasy of experiencing Hashem sh or shu shashu is a Ving word it's made up of the two letter root Shin Shin it's a and you'll find it in in in when he turns and gives his attention to the min the carbon that was brought by he and he didn't turn and pay attention to the carbon that was brought by K so sha means LIF KN to turn around so explains the David Kim who a richan that sh whenever a two-letter root word is doubled over in the same word Shin Shin it's the most intense version of it so it means exclusive attention exclusive focus and everyone has had this in their lifetime anyone here who appreciates soccer will know or maybe ice hockey I don't know which sport is your favorite but if you ever got a kick in the shin and it really hurts oh my gosh it really but you continue the game till the referee Blows the Whistle and only as the whistle blows are you limping off the whoa RTI you've been running for the last 20 minutes ever since you got the kick in your so don't tell me you're in pain and help me any of you have experienced this where was your mind for the last 20 minutes on the game we are all capable of exclusive Focus can you imagine a teenager a mommy screaming for the fourth time your s is getting cold I called you four times you think call me once my ears shut out all the decb around me it's astonishing can you imagine someone who goes to a movie not you personally but someone who you know would go to a movie and at the end they they as they leave the cinema it's like oh yeah there's a world out here and I've got a transition period where I've got to let go of the fantasy of the imagination of that entire movie to readjust myself to the reality that there's a a world out here that I physically interface with and not just a screen which just has light falling upon it oh YF had sadik how did you get through what you went through to the point that you weren't a basket case I'll translate a basket case how did you come out so that when your brothers stood in front of you and you finally said is my father still alive this was the perfect opportunity for Retribution n oh so sweet so so sweet and what was their brother's first thought what do you think their first thought was oh no oh no payback big time not simple at all there's no way out of this this man is M and he's y we try to kill him and ysf knew that this was going to be their immediate reaction and so he says not once not twice three times in the space of just a few Pim this week I'm your brother Y no one knew this nobody knew this only the brothers and the didn't know didn't know this was informed but only through R KES that y was still alive no one knew that he was told by his brothers they didn't tell anybody so one of the proofs it was one of three proofs he proved to them he had bris Miller he spoke to them inesh and he was he revealed to them that I was the one you sold nobody knew no one else knew that he was sold except the brothers and what's he say and now don't get depressed don't get nervous don't be anxious and don't get angry in your eyes that you sold me here don't get upset don't be angry don't regret it it's amazing what's he going to say next cuz the power of all powers sent me in an emergency situation to provide for sustenance for an entire nation there's two years have passed already of the famine nothing's going to be harvested in the next 5 years and what's what he says he's next the power of all power sent me in front of you before you years before in order to bring Salvation to this land now listen to this it wasn't you who sent me here excuse me uh y um we read in last week's para that they almost killed you dropped you in a pit and then they did sell you so they were the ones who sent you here and you admitted a couple earlier that you are the ones who sold me here and now you're telling me it wasn't them how can you say that it was a power of all powers that even with your to either kill me or sell me Hashem can do anything and he brings about his n that you all bow down to me he brought it about in the end isn't Elohim amazing isn't he a powerful power of all powers there's nothing he cannot do that means if if there's nothing he cannot do no matter how messed up my My Free Will has been in this marriage with this kid with this grandchild or whoever it is in in my previous marriage or whoever it is that I've hurt or myself that I have really done a lot of bad to ra a lot of RA RAB of Garden of of Amun and all the other Gardens he says ra is Rashi Tavis it's the two letters that the first two words Ro the worst evil the worst bad is when I chase myself beat myself up I'm My Own bully bad news bad news I'll never make the grade I'll never be a good spouse I'll never be a good parent never I I've just messed up so badly I'll never take control of my of my diet I never take control of my body I'm so irresponsible with finances and I beat myself up and yadik knew that God is everywhere all the time and therefore there's no circumstance that you can't be a sadic you can be in a house where a lady is making overtures and it's an invitation to mess up or God you brought her into my life for me to say yes to or to say no and when we say yes to another cookie or food that we know is not healthy healthy how do we feel afterwards and when we say no how do we feel yay Victorious ysep is inside a dungeon a jail and he makes it his business to talk to God he talked to God all 12 months he was in Po's house even POA couldn't figure out what's going on with this mouth movements he's talking all the time the there was an occasion the actually says his master referring to potifa who was a sick man okay the Liberals won't tell won't tell you that I I have a friend whose kid said to his mom mom when I grow up I want to be a liberal so she said you can't be both that was a commercial that was um sponsored by the Republican party and and never mind it wasn't you God made me in charge of the whole of in preparation for you coming here YF was fixated God you're in my world whether I'm free or I'm a slave whether I am being lured into a relationship which is forbidden to me or whether I am in a dungeon and a hostage and uh there's nothing you can't do and he didn't stop praying and when when potifa saw that Hashem was with him kazal asked this sick man how did Hashem allow that he could see God was with ysf and K answer it other places too very simple he saw that whatever he asked ysep ysep gave it to him on the spot um I'd like I'd like some wine he gives him wine no I want it warm it is warm no actually have changed my mind I want it cold it's cold I had to go from warm to cold and all that was happening in between was his lips were moving so finally potifa says you're coming to teach magic in MIT what mag IAL formul are you saying he was assuming it must be magic so y's answer was no no no no I'm praying to my God Elohim the powerful powers that I should always find favor in your eyes so when you ask me for warm wine I asked that it should be warm when you ask for it to be cold I asked that it should be C he wouldn't in look at the Rashi on that p uh um I think it is um he says he Rashi tells us uh what does it mean that he po saw God is with him he saw hasem he wouldn't stop talking about Elohim cuz it was flowing from his mouth flowing God you are with me even in this difficult marriage in this with this difficult kid and this kid was not sent to me to hurt me this kid was sent to me to help me learn compassion understanding respect for this kid's qualities and build on those because you God are a god of HED and the more I can say thank you and praise you for the difficulties I've been in the more I grow the stronger I become the less I get stuck in the world of anger stuck in the world of resentment resentment is called don't go there don't go into resentment and bearing a grudge don't go into the wishing bad on anybody don't hate anyone in your thoughts that's what really means it means in your thoughts all these are non-reality it's part of cuz God loves everyone and God wants me to love them too after just like I'm a little bit blind to some of my own weaknesses inconsistencies and my own AAS I've got all sorts of answers for so be on others too love them like you love yourself so I have to love myself that's the first command in that Mitzvah oh so Hashem tells me don't get stuck in non-reality thinking because non-reality thinking are the mitzvas of the mind that I command you don't go there there are no other powers Al in front of my faces has has no face faces is there's no word for face Pim is is plural look at the first R in yesu and he gives you a list of plural words which have no singular including Pim Pim is always faces rub him because your face changes every second of your life don't have any other powers Elohim means Powers l means power impl means and that's the second Mitzvah of the of the Ten Commandments don't have any other powers Al means against my faces what do you mean against my faces the sun is powered by Hashem hashem's hiding behind the Sun the clouds providing rainfall is just a camouflage Hashem is the one who's providing the the rain as Rashi tells us it's we say every day Hashem you will lighten up his faces with us forever says Hashem shows his smiling happy laughing faces tal every time you see tal on the Jew on the ground and mat rain coming down God is saying I'm happy to serve you you're wearing a Woolen jacket or sweater or outfit you're wearing grass and sunshine the grass Grew From the soil which came from the rain and the nutrition in the top soil and now the grass was eaten by the Sheep which produces the wool that is sheared and carded and cleaned and now spun until it becomes a Woolen jacket you're wearing sheep you're wearing grass you're wearing rain you're wearing sunshine and Hashem is brilliantly camouflaging himself behind the sheep and the rain and the Sun shine and gravity you need gravity for rain I have a friend who was reading a book called anti-gravity he told me he couldn't put it down you know it's just British corny humor I love it okay Hashem is everywhere all the time there is no sun it's the power of God shining in our lives and when so if it's so obvious hasm you're everywhere all the time and someone of the stature of a yadik um is reported and described eloquently in the Torah for me to know that I don't care how bad it gets I have no right please be me in advance for saying this I have no right to say I'm scared for life I'm damaged I've been traumatized and I don't mean to play it down but then we have to ask a question why didn't ysf say that he had a really good reason multiple reasons his own family tried to assassinate him how about DAV his father and brother thought he was a m but only for 29 years after that he was anointed by Shi to become the next Mal oh boy we made a mistake and they said collectively what you said this morning this dayem oh my gosh only you could have made a day like this this day this hour Shi arrives at the home of yesai s and asked him to line up his seven sons cuz Shi was told by that one of his sons is going to be the next Mal sha had just been rejected he's still King but Shi who anointed sh anointed sha was now told by Hashem that because sha messed up and didn't didn't follow what Hashem asked him to do to wipe out all the Liberals I mean all of the Malik and because he failed that's dangerous put that on YouTube um be because he failed so Kadesh baru switched I've got someone better than him lined up and as Shi goes through each one of the Seven Sons no it's not him it's not him he doesn't get any n nothing so he turns to yesai cuz Hashem can't be wrong do you have any other Sons oh um not sure kind of well mm uh he didn't even line him up there was no a minute no thought entered his mind that he was a candid candidate to be the next king his a safic mom there maybe a moabit uh he was the black sheep literally of the family he was rejected by the entire family except his mother who knew that the birth was totally legitimate I'm not going into that it's a fascinating story you'll see all the Madan brought together by m Lees if you want to look it up it's it's amazing story to to understand d lived a life of isolation for 29 years rejected by his own family there was one occasion in Bethlehem where an aser lost his money and davik who was shepherding nearby was accused as being a thief there was no real evidence and nevertheless he was accused and convicted and he paid it in full from his own pocket and as he walks out the Bon he gives aill to hasem please don't i i m this person accused me falsely 100% so don't bring any Onish on him this is who we're talking about how did he get to that well did he live a life of resentment bitterness anger resentment did he have reason he marries the daughter of shaal and shaal turns against his own son-in-law and attempts to assassinate him multiple times chases him for almost 2 years DAV is a fugitive and if that wasn't enough even after shal passed on and Daval becomes king his own son of Shalom creates a rebellion that is so successful that most of clis Ro turned to abshalom and believed that he was he was really meant to be the Jewish King and no one let than the sanedrin gave D Mal as he's leaving Barefoot mourning in escaping from his own son shim rash Sanhedrin gives a a horrific curse n ret means it was a acronym NF adulterer wrote a murderer Mei I mean whoa Ros Sanhedrin hi I mean he's a Dian is R is head of the Sanhedrin surely you have to take his word seriously D was put down by the greatest people huge him extraordinary stature betrayed him turned against him and when people saw so many people of such stature turning against David of course they fell into doubt DAV his own wife not to put her down she was a huge sedus M huge sedus tell us it's a uh she worin all day you understand yeah you're not supposed to be if you're going to wear all day she was so do to Hashem I'm not saying you should do it but she did it the daughters of Rashi W that Madre as well but we're not we're not going down just bringing out she was extraordinary and yet she didn't even fully appreciate her own husband who was dancing wild in front of the Aon being brought for the first time since to and she thought he was denigrating himself in front of the maid servants and servants and said so and he told her I was drunk with joy for KES baru I would do it again I my mind was only on Hashem DAV Malak was misunderstood underappreciated by his own family he lost four children in his lifetime told us in N VM claims he actually lost an additional four in the last year of his life during the plague eight children in his lifetime so let me ask you don't you think he would be a candidate for saying I am traumatized I am scared for life I'm damaged uh please be me for speaking this way you see our greatest personalities did not always have the most support in their lives from friends family and Beyond in fact most of them almost without exception had the exact opposite and yet they used their B to become great through what they went through and kanuka is a reminder of clarity that I'm in this world to rehearse saying thank you even when it's not so pleasant actually that's the big thank you the biggest thank you of all is to love with all your thoughts with all your soul cuz I'll tell us nefes means Desire with all your desires but it also means your life even when not if when God takes my soul how am I going to go not me I I put on I why why how am I supposed to go with all your life and RAB AA who did not have an easy life started at 40 and before then he hated he hated with a Venom I think tells us that he he admitted to hisim that when he was if he saw he wished he could bite him but not like a dog but like a donkey a donkey's bite now Kev will stop at the bone but a donkey's bite will go right through the bone and that's what he meant by that whoa how did you he becomes so hateful towards the how could that be this is not really the place to go into it but 40 years old he turned himself around all because of the drops of water falling on a rock that actually because of the accumulation of one drop another drop another drop eventually formed a depression in the in in the solid rock and he came to the question which he asked his colleagues you'll find this in peric gimmel in avns and I think it's O and there he says how did the water cut out the stone water is rough it's soft stone is solid and his colleague said to him aka the other Shepherds don't you remember when you were in you learned a in from that you can be M who was about 9 10 years old I'm not going into details now but he was about 9 10 years old when he went off the D but he was he was in he learned Al he learned mikra but he didn't learn mishas mishas us start at 10 so he was a bit younger than 10 years old when he left the D the theal don't tell us why it's not obviously important it really makes no difference you see the details of your life are not important they really not what's important is how did we respond to the details people circumstances in our lives the story okay sold assassination attempt um led into an Isa of extraordinary beauty and then thrown into a dungeon for 12 years that that's the story don't get stuck with the story get stuck with how he handled it there's a lady married not once twice divorced once divorced twice never had any children and she was a seamstress now I think you might say look the resume is not that impressive uh and she could easily say what have I got to show for myself married divorced married divorced no children I'm a seem stress I got nothing to contribute to the world and her name is sarne was she stuck I'm damaged I'll never I'll never marry I'll never have children there's nothing for me why why why did you do this to me she didn't go there she was fixated on something else completely what else can I do to help Hashem and she's looking around sees hundreds thousands of peers her age in her age group falling for evil Lucian excuse me actually thinking we came from apes anyone here who has the slightest out read Dr Michael Denton's book Evolution a theory in crisis go to the 14th chapter you can read the verse 13 as well 14th chapter and shows us the biggest evidence that Charles Darwin had for his theory of evolution was under the microscope he saw the microb in small pieces in total chaos toal total random movement no organization whatsoever so based on this microscopic reality he came to the conclusion that all the atoms and molecules that make up the Bria developed from spontaneous production and no organization what an idiot Michael Denton sorry Dr Michael Denton shows that today how many times can you magnify a molecule under the an an atomic microscope and the answer is over a billion times its size if you were to put a microscope on a molecule today and M and magnify it to one to a billion times itself you would need enough paper to cover the entire Manhattan to print out what you see that's what he says there Manhattan's 13 mil long it's 96 uh 65 square miles of paper do you understand to see one molecule and he he describes what you will see there is over a million entrances and exits into this molecule and every single entrance you will see path ways going to the nucleus of the molecule it's amazing and each single one of the pathways is bringing a different ingredient from your bloodstream a different type of protein amino acid and the oxygen every single element in your bloodstream has been categorized by your body which is divine intelligence and it's going inside there's no way you could possibly say that this isn't by Design and then he shows you that if this molecule died guess what would happen next mindboggling it will reproduce itself within 3 hours so he gives the example of a nuclear bomb fall falling on Manhattan destroying the whole of Manhattan how many Skys scrapers how many buildings how much plumbing and electricity highways and you've got all this taking place inside Manhattan it's all destroyed does leave help so comes along Dr Michael Denton and points out that imagine Manhattan would reproduce itself to exactly where it was 1 second before before the nuclear bomb destroyed it and it would take 3 hours to reproduce it's impossible the world that we see is so brilliantly camouflaged as looking real but it's all just a rehearsal how will I respond to what happens to me and yav S and for that matter every single one of the great personalities throughout T you look at all of them they were were not focused on the scars and the trauma yet it was it was really bad D was honest about his pain he didn't deny it I love that P because it's in chapter 119 so if you're ever not sure about where to find theok inim just look at 119 you got a decent chance of getting it right and he says there my soul drips with Agony it's very very powerful choice of words but I kept your words I didn't let go his default was always cuz it's the extent to which we thank Hashem that we become we rely and realize oh my gosh I really need you and the more we rely on you the more we turn to you and we come crave him in the words of we started with the proportion to which we say thank you is is preparing us to actually enjoy Hashem while we're in this world and that's what we take with us as our starting point intoh I close on the sabotages of my thank yous yurin suffering I can get so stuck in it that I really get stuck and I won't let myself out and I I dwell on it to the point where you don't appreciate how much I've suffered if only would empathize and before you know it I'm just I've just used the victim card okay go there if you want but at some point I've got to let go otherwise I'm actually going to believe my own narrative I'm scarred for life I'm damaged for Life trauma ink please be Markle me it's an industry I met just two weeks ago and Mrs caner 98 years old y Hara 10 years old in aitz taken from the ghetto in LS and there all the children below the age of 10 she escaped cuz she was ill and her sister escaped because she was taking care of her and they had a doctor's certificate for it and so they weren't rounded up with all the children below the age of 10 were asked by the Nazis to be brought to a hospital where they would then be transported to a labor camp where they would they would work but they would be taken care of thousands of Jewish children came to this hospital and on the top floor they were thrown out the window they landed in trucks that just took them straight to the graves and this is all in front of the parents she said some some of the mothers committed suicide when they saw their children being killed that way and she grew up and did didn't let go of God we even asked her how how did you how did you not let go of God it's astonishing she said you want I should question God like whoa like she's saying do you know who you're talking about he created the universe he knows everything I don't understand the Holocaust but that means I should question God do you know who you're talking about every Jew has the same DNA of AR ainu of saru kidnapped twice Baron 90 years suffered almost all of the same na that AB went through stood up to them all and S on wrote the Torah testifies her entire life that's what rash says on her whole life was equally good equally good are you in denial or what kidnapped twice better 90 years how can you say that don't get stuck with a narrative don't get stuck with a story get stuck with his story how does he want me to respond to what I go through and her answer was I simply got closer every month oh she sees blood oh another month another month and so she turned to God again and again and again even when she laughed the first time she was told why did you laugh when she first heard she's going to have a child and her answer was I didn't laugh excuse me the Torah says you WR right it says that you laughed laughed so how can you say I didn't laugh and says the quoting of r that when you do toua change your name says the rambam I don't mean literally change your name it means say oh that's the old Jonathan oh that's the old SAR oh that's the old Aram so one second after she laughed she called herself why am I laughing that was my gut reaction such an old age my husband's old how are we going to have children and she said I've been doing for this all decades and she switched immediately and so when she was accused of laughing she denied it because that's not who she is now one second makes all the difference let go in one second let go don't get stuck in The Narrative of the past and increase the thank yous and the praise moving forward because God let me stay to be here to be able to say thank you I got through this only because of you so the biggest sabotage is yurin but the biggest of all is complaints and this is where I come I close the biggest sabotage of my thank yous is I'm so busy chronically complaining about my wife about my husband about my children about my father-in-law about my mother-in-law about my grandchildren about my boss about my client about the traffic about my my co-workers my neighbor the community and I think I cover everybody and before you know it I'm am so busy with The Narrative of what's happening to me and the people in my life that I lose focus of God's reality God is good all the time the sun is always Shining always okay I'm beneath the cloud so I don't see it it's always shining cuz God wants to be know wants me to know kto he's good how good said it his kindness is forever so yesi and the brothers said oh my gosh no one could have brought about a day like this where the what the least person we could ever imagine is going to be the king of the Jewish people is our son brother David only God could have made a day like this so what do we do now let us rejoice and nagil also means let us reveal oh my gosh you God have been orchestrating this all along and I didn't let us reveal and through that rejoice and be happy with him be happy in God's he's given us that is what means be happy in the he has given me be happy with everyone else's and be happy with my because it's my happiness here that is determining my happiness in eternity in the in the Merit of knowing is you may the days of admitting that I owe you God everything and you God owe me nothing all the good I have in my life is not upon you God I'm owed nothing and therefore everything I have is pure kindness thank you thank you God for everything amen God bless you [Applause]
