walk thank you thank you Robbie thank
you anyway so he didn't tell you the
journey how I got to this Podium so
basically I got a phone call a few hours
ago and he tells me RAB who I am a big
not fan a fan of I mean he's like a rebi
of mine I'm very close to the family for
over 30 something years already last
night actually his son
RAB actually made a wedding and at the
wedding his mother's wife wasn't feeling
so well so he that's the reason why he's
not here but I was actually at the
wedding and um so I'm a big
of and I feel bad because to really take
his place is not easy so but I I said to
myself I wasn't even sure what the event
was in the beginning I said yeah I'll
give a sheare why not you know and then
they then he sent then he explained it
to me I said oh okay so I'll tell you
the truth I actually spent a few hours
this afternoon um buying books and going
through them different and I was I was I
was really really taken back by uh by
what I read and what I saw and I'm going
to share some of the things I I read and
saw but it's a big honor to be here it's
a big honor to be here kazak Tor any
time the the singles connections big big
for the people that actually
um got involved in uh in doing this and
it's it's beautiful to see it's
beautiful to see people here it's
beautiful to see people that you know
want to want to grow and and and move
forward that's very special I will tell
you though I usually make jokes so I'm
not making any jokes tonight but I will
tell you that if I say something I'm
sorry can you please make jokes to keep
some of us
awake I might be so bad you'll stay away
from the noise but I will tell you
though I will tell you though that um
that I don't want to God forbid if if if
I say something that maybe somebody
might take the wrong way I do apologize
I I did a lot of research the last few
hours a few hours and obviously I have
my own children and I've been involved
with shim for for many years my wife is
actually a very big sh
M A's wigs and um so she has a lot of
connections I actually have tons and
tons of people over for Shabbat and
farak and uh my daughters make shok
they're single too and they make shok so
so barash there's a lot going on and
with the ab's help with God's help what
yes I do yes I do my number will be
given out afterwards um no problem so I
will tell you I will tell you that you
will all find your ziv and will be I'm
not saying I'll be invited but I'm sure
people here will be invited to share in
each other's
Sim um so I want to tell you a little
bit about my story I actually got
married at 21 A2 now was that early
Depends for who depends for who but I
got to tell you my story of the sh
between my story um when I was 17 18 I
was finding myself spiritually even
though I was from and um I grew up in a
very very very Holy Family like robbi
walin my father in uh Q Gardens and my
brother of Aon who was the rashash here
in fak and uh I could honestly say that
I myself made over
600 bharian kids religious in my life
over and I have over 6,000 contacts in
my from all my students I don't even
remember 90 I feel bad but I have so so
I take it very personal and I take it
very you know like I feel good that I'm
here to help that you know as many
people as I can and especially this Kila
and especially the people from kazak so
it's a big honor for me to be here but
my story goes like this when I was in ER
at the age of 1819 I really started to
learn very very intense I really got
very into my learning and my Torah
learning and I was so wrapped up in my
to learning that I actually didn't want
to get married till I was at least 26 27
and what was the reason cuz I wanted to
finish the talmud I want to finish this
I was so wrapped up in my learning that
I finally my father would say no but um
that I actually wanted to um I wanted to
just sit and learn that was my joy that
was my joy and I remember coming back
from merage thr because uh I it was time
for me to come back and I went to Sam
Shiva in Brooklyn and my grandmother who
um
who was a very big and made over 100
herself herself actually she was one of
those European reant that would go to a
wedding and just go over to a girl and
say I have a son or a son-in-law a
son-in-law I have a son or a grandson I
think you'd be perfect what's your
number and name so I would actually stay
away I would try to stay away as much as
I can from you know from from the scene
as we say but uh I remember getting a
phone call from my mother um one day in
Yeshiva and she goes I found a girl for
you I found a girl for you a perfect
shid do beautiful whatever it was I said
Ma I I I'm sure you know already that we
discussed this that I'm not dating till
I'm 26 that's what I was thinking at the
time so she goes no no no you have to I
said Ma I don't know what you're talking
about I'm not doing it because it's too
late that's what she tells me I already
set it up so I said okay um so I had to
come up with some excuse that's the
truth I did and it's funny because I
knew the brother very well I never saw
the girl but I knew the brother very
well we were close friends he was always
try to R me his sister all the time when
I was in Israel and I had to come up
with an excuse I came up with an excuse
that my Rabbi doesn't want 6 months he
can't go out yet I just came back so I
went over to the miror yiva where he was
at and I said to him I said you know I
really my Riva doesn't want me to go out
now he wants me to wait a few months and
he looks at me like so why would you
have said yes so what I was supposed to
tell him that I didn't say yes it was my
um it was my mother and my
grandmother um so ended up I told my I I
said no
and I said at least 6 months I can't go
out he tells me do you mind if she goes
out with other people I said please let
her go out with other people and 6
months almost to the night I remember my
mother calls me and she says to me so 6
months are up you're going out I said
I'm not ready yet psychologically I
wanted to learn more she goes it's too
late I already made the call and 37
years later I'm here I barash have
children 33 year olds all the way down
to 17 year olds and Bar so you just
never know you never know where your
comes from you never know where you
could almost be pushing away a but if
hasem wants it to take place it's going
to happen it's going to happen no matter
what I'm going to tell you a little
story I want to tell you an unbelievable
story I saw there was once a a a bck in
Israel that had a terrible you might
have heard the story because I'm sure
PES I'm sure all these stories have been
a little recycled which is beautiful but
I'm just going to say the story that I
that that that I read there was a story
that there was a man that had a terrible
scar on his face he had a terrible
terrible scar on his face and because of
that scar many many girls you know said
no to him he went out of First Dates
second dates at the most but everyone
said no to him pretty much and he was he
was at a loss because he was a very good
catch he was a big bent Tor I guess if
that's what this girl was you know girls
were looking for I guess in ER girl
where he was at in this neighborhood and
people were just saying no to him left
and right left and right they were
saying no to him he didn't know what to
do he felt really bad cuz he was a
really a good C but he had a terrible
scar on his face so he went toim kki he
went toim keski and he asked what should
he do soim said to him like this he said
the first girl you go out with after
this meeting with me I want you to tell
her your story how you had how you got
the scar on his on your face okay so he
thinks to himself you know I don't want
anyone to think any girl to think that I
am conscious subconscious of my scar so
if I bring it up on the first dat it's
going to like that's what you know that
like I'm not sure of myself but if kki
told him to to to say it he's going to
say it so he goes with he goes out with
this special girl and as soon as he gets
into the the lounge the hotel he says I
need to tell you something I want to
tell you how I got this scar on my face
so doesn't say a word and he starts he
proceeds to tell the story how he got
the scar on her face when the girl heard
this she she screamed and she got she
was almost like a a scream but she was
very excited about what he said and she
tells him like this she I want to tell
you a story and she tells him over this
story she says when I was 17 years old a
few years ago I was walking towards the
kisil one night with a bunch of my
friends and a and a bunch of Arabs came
and attacked me they attacked me and
they were going to whatever it was they
attacked me and some yiva Bak came out
of nowhere and saved her but during the
saving this Arab took a knife and caught
his whole face and she said and I was
trying to see who is this person that
saved me cuz I didn't end up finding out
who he was and that was the end of the
story and now I realize that it's you
you were the person that actually that
saved my life and they ended up getting
married and they ended up having
children and this is how the story goes
so you just never know you never know
where your comes from you never know in
the
most difficult places sometimes things
that you think they're not even a match
not even a match um I who sends to
Yeshua he sends and I want to tell you
that I was at this wedding last night
actually like I was telling you about
and I remember maybe a few months ago
this girl actually is a very special
girl that I went to the wedding but she
was looking for a certain type of guy
and her father wanted a different kind
of guy and but and whatever it worked it
ended up working out to the point that I
was involved in the sh and I literally
saw Miracles and the father called me up
today and he says rebi I want you to
know the n and that this came about is
unreal and we went through every step of
the Nim the Miracles because the end of
the day Hashem runs the world and at the
end of the day he is who we have to come
to rely on so everybody has a sh
everybody has a z the question is how
when and where we don't know where the
Yeshua sashem comes from we don't know
where the salvation but there is that
salvation but sometimes you just can't
see where it's going to come from so it
does come so I want to just tell you a
masal a beautiful masal I saw the was
this family that had no you know they
were poor and they there was a lot of
difficulties in this particular family
and they were ding they were ding all
the time to hasem to help them Hashem to
help them and Hashem should help them
it's only a Mas it's only a
parable one day they hear a knock on the
door and they open the door and they see
seven people standing by this door
Hashem sent to Yeshua who are these
seven people one of them he asked their
names one of them said my name is Joy my
name is joy happiness the second said my
name is wealth parasa good parasa the
third one said my name is strength the
fourth one said health and the fifth one
said Faith so wow Hashem saved them he
got he got somebody from wealth he got
strength he got Health he got joy he got
faith amazing except as he was asking
them to come into the house one of them
I don't know which one it doesn't make a
difference said we all can't come in at
the same time you can only pick one you
could only pick one want you can either
have joy you can have wealth you can
have strength you can have health or
faith so the family discussed it for a
few minutes and they said you know what
we're going to take Faith so they took
Faith amuna they took the T the person
called amuna and then all of a sudden
all the other five walked in all the
other four walked in and he asked but I
thought only only one of you can come in
so they answered that when you pick
amuna when you pick faith we all come to
together when you pick Faith you're
picking all of us when we have a things
that we that seem far farfetched for us
to get who makes it happen who makes it
happen now it's easy for me to say
that's the truth it's easy for me to say
do I know what people people go through
but but I do believe I do believe when a
person has true amuna at the right time
at the right time Hashem says hem sends
not Miracles even but what was meant for
you I'll tell you another story that I
actually I saw many years ago there was
a an individual who was like 30 years
old and he used to go to his Reba all
the time he used to go to his reb all
the time fish he used to go and his re
said to him these words all the time he
would say to
him the thing is very near to you the
thing is very near like the is is nearby
and it's almost any day now that's what
he that's what he
envisioned so he goes back home all
excited 6 months a year later two years
later still not married still not
married finally he goes back to this
Reber and he says Reb you told me two
years ago I came to you I trusted in you
I had a in you and the Reb said
no okay he's a little shocked he doesn't
understand why a few years later he gets
engaged gets engaged and it's a big Sim
in the community and they make big
parties for him and then at one of the
Chev his friends decided they were going
to make a video a clip a collage of of
of Clips when he was growing up from
when he was a little boy all the way up
to where he is now so they're all
sitting there watching this this thing
and all of a sudden they took a video of
him going to his rebba asking for asking
for uh you know for shid and in the
video they saw that the girl it was a it
was was a type of thing where it was a
man a woman they were all able to go
together and they saw that the girl that
he ended up marrying was standing right
behind him and the rebber said to
him what did he refer to that the matter
was right next to him the Reb saw in his
vision but this man didn't know what the
rebba was talking about but obviously
the rebba must have had a higher uh you
know r a certain R KES that he he he saw
something so nobody would have put two
and two together but because they made
this this collage they made this group
of of of videos he was able to see how
the Aisha was orchestrating how the
Aisha was orchestrating now I have a lot
to say here I don't want to I just want
to just one point and then we'll open up
to questions and answers I don't have
all the answers I don't have all the
questions but if you can you know I like
to learn I like to understand and
whatever we can do together we'll try to
do together so I want to tell you an
unbelievable thing that I saw from RM
bbam that's RM burb was a rash in the m
I learned big sadic big big Torah
scholar big
mat very big Russa from Europe already
he was a big sadic so he went through a
lot in his life he had difficult
situations in his life whatever we're
not going to go into we all have our our
own you know you our own pek as we call
it and he asked a question I remember
was in the para ofev with yadik and he
asked the question like this he said y
overcame one of the greatest challenges
in history that he's given the title
sadik he overcame one of the greatest
challenges in Jewish history that he was
given the title by the he was given the
title of sadik what was it the story
with with the with the with the other
women in in in M but he overcame all the
challenges 100% And he was given a title
special thing he overcame special thing
he overcame what does Hashem do for him
Hashem throws him into prison for the
next 10 years so he asked a question
burb he says I don't understand he
overcame one of the greatest challenges
that a human being can overcome where he
was in the worst place in the world in
Egypt in M the worst and yet he stayed
pure and Hashem rewards him by throwing
him into prison that's a reward that a
person gets for that so I remember he
said this in yish he said I'll say in
yish and then I'll explain what he said
so I remember him saying he said like
this R he
said is
not everyone merits to have challenges
in his life not everyone merits to have
difficulties and challenges in his life
and I want to tell you that is a
lifechanging gamechanging way of
thinking that whenever I say this ver
Torah over to somebody there's like
almost there's almost like a light bulb
that goes off in their head that this is
like this is that sometimes our
challenges are our greatest rewards
sometimes our challenges is what gives
us the wings the strength to fly so it's
easy for me to say but I I have stuff in
I have stuff that I get challenged all
the time within life in general bringing
up children the right way whatever it is
pis it's not the issue but the point is
the challenges we go through have a I
give us the opportunity to grow the word
n comes from the word Ness which also
means to uplift uplift to lift our
challenges Lift us so sometimes we feel
alone sometimes we feel that we're not
you know we're not we don't have what we
want in life but understand that if we
somehow are able to embrace our
challenges and we embrace the
difficulties it gives you energy and
strength and I've seen it in my life
energy and strength to keep growing and
growing and sometimes that's what Hashem
wants not sometimes hasm always wants us
to grow he always wants us to to build
our wings that when we're ready to fly
we'll be able to fly so I give you all
the BR before I open up a question and
answers I give you all the BR that hm
you all should find what you're looking
for not just find what you're looking
for but to embrace what you're looking
for and to be and to be but I do want to
mention one last thing I do have to
mention this few years ago I had a
student of mine now I I've been teaching
for close to 34 years in the bharan
community in B 34 years ago on Grand
Central so I was started to teach when I
was 24 years old and my students were 17
so I'm 56 now and I have students that
are 51 so just interesting you know like
my students are almost my age they're
almost my age so it's um it's just it's
just a phenomenon and and I love all my
bharian students love them I don't
remember everyone's name I just was
never good with names sadly they
remember my name no but anyway but um
but so it's it's it's a very personal
thing for me to to get involved and and
I want to tell you that a few years ago
I was faced with something nothing
terrible whatever was you know midlife
crisis I would say a little bit
something that that I wasn't myself the
same joyful happy person and I had a
student in mind that actually is part of
this Kila and he told me a very very
very very important CL he said you must
train yourself to thank Hashem even in
the most difficult times even in your
most while you're suffering thank Hashem
andbody said how is that going to change
all of sudden I'm going to have money
all of I'm going to have this come on
and then I went and then I went to keski
who was my re I went to the STI his
father I remember going and I used to go
once a year to to get a blessing even
the bhha and the BR
for like I would go for 2 three days you
know and you know I see tell people what
is that going to do how is that going to
help me just thank Hashem thank Hashem
so I want to tell you it's an
unbelievable school I know people do
school I have two older daughters
actually and every type of schooler
that's out there they're involved in I
mean I come into my house and there are
candles all over the house I I can't
even begin to tell you all the school
she has Shear them 40 times this that
they built a coell in my house I don't
even know what I just let it be but I I
will tell you I will tell you that from
the most special things that a person
could do is even in the most difficult
challenges while you're suffering or
while you're in a difficult situation
just train yourself to say thank you
Hashem for this challenge thank you
Hashem for this difficult situation and
you're going to see I'm telling you that
each one of you different ways you find
Miracles everybody has his own miracle
that he's looking for or that little bit
of a sign that Hashem is with them that
little bit of a sign so I give you that
blessing the Braha that we should
actually be able to thank hash
and and and really say it even if you
don't mean it even if you don't mean it
just say it and uh it really I had a
nest I had a big miracle happen to me
when I started doing it two three weeks
into this whatever it was I thanked
Hashem and it was difficult and and M
saw N I saw Miracles so I just want to
leave you with that and now I'm going to
open up for any questions that a person
might have so I do uh apologize for uh
the length of yes thank you thank you oh
wow you see thanking hashm I'm not hasm
but I hear you I hear
you any questions yes if I heard
correctly you were saying that some
people you were saying don't have
challenges everybody has challenges
everybody has
challenges no no no everybody has
challenges and and as everyone's
challenges are different you know
somebody would to one person it might be
called a challenge to somebody else it
might not be called a challenge but um
but I just I want to tell you I came
here tonight and I I wasn't planning on
being I have actually a lecture that I'm
giving at 11:00 at night in my house my
wife is a very special woman actually
and today not it's only for only men
yeah and um it's for boys Yesa boys and
we're doing AES party actually I should
mentiones to everyone you know it
says in Nissan we were redeemed and
benan in the future so hopefully this
will be the month of everyone's
Redemption everyone's redemption in this
coming Nissan so I give you all a
blessing and if there's no other
questions I think they should
all Rob anyway thank you for the time I
am not RAB of no but I did the best I
could so I do apologize thank Round of
Applause to
walk we're thank you walk for your
tremendous remarks we're going to
encourage everyone to stay we're going
to have we're going to have music we're
going to have um of course great food
there's going to be the shum walking
around they could help introduce and
thank you everyone for joining
us
