main
thing kindness one of the biggest things
is is to give food for people and I'll
give you a little story it was like I'm
a kble cabalist who came he told AB I'm
going to teach you how to eat a so he
was constantly begging told him listen I
have my own way I give food for people
and this is how I bring down the is so
it's similar toini but they say was
building a under 20 years to bring back
people to
12 years not even one person came back
aini opened these doors to get food
thousands said that Rini brought back
thousands and thousands of people from
food from bringing the giving food for
people this is how he bring it
[Music]
and welcome to Tor talk kazak's program
with special guest we have with us RAB
MOS y freedlander from Cher Hungary
welcome thank you very much for joining
us on kazak's Tor talks and we're gonna
be speaking about
sh fromer and uh before we uh discuss
about the r if we could discuss a little
bit about your background and the great
work you're involved with my name is
Mander M frander my father's name was
ABD
freedlander my father grew up in
chis after the war they went to
Israel and afterwards they came to
America I was born and raised here in
America I grew up in
sat and
mono but Christi was a part of our
life so I grew up constantly hearing
stories from
a and what happened over there plus my
grandfather which I'm named after she
also a
freedlander
he grew um he was a part from
aba's um Legacy over there he
basically wrote a lot of umur and
stories from basically most of the
stories today's days which we know from
what happened he wrote it down from my
grandfather my grandfather
yes as we say he preserved sh's name a
lot and and in the old days a old person
walked on the
street and he met another person what
was his
question in
yish where are you from so my father
said chis so everybody every Hungarian
Jew had a story from ABA so I grew up
listening to that
stories and that's your connection till
today and that's my connection till
today and that's the connection now from
clis TOA basically that brought back r
alive so that's the Shila that's the
question how is it that the impact of sh
became so it's a 100 years since the
able to understand yes and today you
know there's the signs there's the
pictures it became with understanding
became much more widespread how would
you say that around 10 years
ago it's not even 10
years um I decided to build a m
in Hungary there was nothing over there
I went there with a friend of mine we
bought a
place and we started building a mikah
but we were there we started going there
often and and what was the mat what was
the situation there when you went there
uh there
was barely nothing wow for sure food
wasn't there not only over there because
we were the first one giving out
food in Europe there was places where
you had cold um refrigerated food you
had the packed uh food from meart and
whatever stuff like that but food fresh
food there was no such a thing in
Hungary but all
the but I was there while we were there
for a day or two three I cooked we had a
little we cooked a little food for
ourselves but every day some people came
in so we started bringing more from New
York one day
and that that happened around 10 years
ago right one one day we were there for
a week actually and it was the UT out
from son-in-law that Friday so we were
prepared to stay there for shabas as
well he's he's buried in
adelene he was the Delina
roof so we brought along food to cook
for
shabas and there was a
little uh
Motel bed and breakfast kind of of a
little place over
there and we rent to the few rooms that
old lady asked me if um why I didn't buy
her place I told her you you were asking
too much
money so she gave me she told me give me
a number how much you you want to pay
for it I gave her a number I thrw a
number she said no problem
no I said okay the condition is I'm get
getting the keys now
and whatever you want from this place
you're taking out tomorrow
morning she did it wow that was Tuesday
that was Monday B Tuesday night we
cooked already over there there was a
little kitchen over there we cash it it
and we cooked dinner we had over 50
people eating that night dinner over day
wow so that was the beginning
that we decided we staying open
unbelievable unbelievable but uh again
the
impact today all over you know there's
people building houses in in this
neighborhood over here you know they put
by the by the green fence you know when
you're building a home there's green
fences with permits and this permit and
that permit there's a picture of putting
up permit from over there so what's
what's the reason for that um the reason
from that for that is we're going to go
in more to details what did right and
then we're going to go backwards with
that but from then from that time people
started coming we started making noise
you put it out it didn't go the regular
way in the media whatever but we put it
out on whatsapps and whatnot people
started coming how far away is it from
New York more or less it's uh the
problem is there's no straight flight
but so you have to take a flight with a
connection so it's between 8 hours and
more depends what kind of connection you
have w
but uh the old days it was like 8 hours
straight now currently there's no
straight there's no Straight No but in
the past there was a straight flight got
it8 hours away so you were saying I'm
sorry so you started getting the word
out and people started coming people
started coming and as soon as people
came they saw yesh and they brought they
saw salvations they saw their prayers
answered and they brought more people
and everybody whoever was there 10 years
ago now there's thousands of people
coming through that person
wow so it became the most popular place
as far as I know and now I'm quite
involved in
Europe I see what's going on all over
it's the most popular visited place by
Jewish people in that area well
unbelievable not only in that area all
over Europe all over
Europe and we have all kinds of
people I know people that go yeah course
from all kinds of backgrounds we have
had people from Iran came oh from Iran
they came through London and they came
over
there so as soon as people saw Yes they
came more and more and the more yes you
see more people are
coming and what it is it's basically sh
said if we going to going to continue
his work basically to give Food for
People you're going to see can the are
going to continue so I guess we started
this place and people see yes and his
legacy is continuing it it brings more
yes it brings more it brings more people
so back then let's discuss the R's
lifetime uh the rabbi was known for just
having like inviting guests or just
having a home that was open what was the
greatness I guess or the root of the
greatness of been
main thing
was
kindness and it doesn't matter which way
one of the biggest things is is to give
food for people and that was and I'll
give you a little story there was like
I'm
able cabalist who came told I'm going to
teach you how to eat
a
letter so he was constantly begging told
him listen I have my own way
I give food for
people and this is how I bring down the
issue so it's similar toini what they
say was building a 120 years sent him
specially and asked him to build a 120
years so people to bring back people to
yish kite to judism to Judaism or not to
Judaism to there wasn't Judaism but to
and 12 years not even one person came
back opened these
doors to get
food thousands said that R brought back
thousands and thousands of
people from food from bringing the
giving food for people this is how you
bring back we could relate atak we have
all these cure of all these programs
that we're trying to bring these you
know children from the public schools
bring them into after school programs
and teach them about Judaism and yish so
one of the main ways of inspiring ing
these boys to come and to come back and
these children to come and come again is
that we have not peanut butter and jelly
but sir Gish amazing good yummy food
which is obviously very expensive but at
the end of the day you know this is food
is your language and you bring them in
this way and then little by little
because just to make it clear it's less
expensive this way maybe it's expensive
for you expensive for the organization
but it's not expensive for clis that's
right 100% because it brings back a
person when early enough then CL is not
spending a lot more money for different
things it's true 100% And we see it
today by us we have constantly stories I
had this story middle of the summer one
Sunday a boy arrives comes to me Rabbi
freedlander you don't remember me but I
was here a shabas one and a half years
ago I didn't keep
shabas I heard these stories all shabas
and I
heard didn't look if someone is keeping
shabas not keeping shabas he brought
back everybody I decided I'm going back
to
Yesa I also made a promise if I'm
getting engaged I'll come back to say
thanks this shabas was my o I forgot to
come back
so I forgot to come back
and sh this I was thinking I didn't go
back to so I came now to invite him this
week is the wedding wow so we we seeing
this kind of stories in constant basis
unbelievable and not only that people
didn't have children people didn't have
Pusa and all kinds of different stories
people were they were
sick we have this interesting story
there was a
go who came to me a few years ago she
actually came from New
York but but her mother
and her brother they all live in
Budapest so she arrived one Sunday
um it wasn't a Sunday it was the middle
of the week she arrived with them in
K she called me up before she didn't
have a passport I should help her she
came there on there and I have a
over there who speaks yish learned yish
over there and he also had a story from
sh so he told the stories so her brother
started crying a go started crying he
said my son has stage four
cancer
Loy and his
but is paralyzed and the doctor say that
he's going to die in the next few days
what can we
do so I told
her we building a wall we building a
sporting wall over there said give
something and go up sha and tella that I
helped you place and help me she sends
me a message of so she did it she sends
me a message a few weeks
later good morning my friend I just want
to let you you know that a miracle
happened this morning my nephew's brain
tumor disappeared
wow and we have seen such
stories hundreds if not
thousands wow unbelievable and we seeing
stories people are coming down people
are
sending we have our lines open basically
people could call in any time forit to
sending names are without money they
don't have to pay for it nothing and
people pray sending see at the cave at
the grave site that hasem through this
sadic this righteous person should
answer their prayers that's what that's
what is being done so going back to I'll
tell you this in Hungary there was a big
his name was
the he was once on the
train with
his
president and the was in the same wagon
as him
was there with a lot of people and he
gave tick he
gave and cake and
whatnot so this President of this is
asking the what is with he's giving
out food and people see a is so the told
him like this I guess he was expecting
some negative answer so the
three things the world
stands so if you take one of that SS
they take one of that and you you take
it
over which
did so the W is
his and so he could say and do whatever
they
want interesting story happened
afterwards that this guy didn't have
children for many years so he turned
around to the so the is also learning so
the re took
the the am from to maybe can I have a
child so he told told him if you promise
me not to tell no one as long as I live
you'll have one he had a child after
you but talking about that we see
stories and
miracles in every aspect we have seen
people who they didn't have children for
many years many years
7 9 10 15
17 and they came there and after the
year they had children we have seen
people where they didn't have Pusa
livelihood and they came came there they
found businesses for cheap to buy and
they found
penusa very interesting and interesting
stories and most of the
stories looks like
when you think
nature you think into that and you see
well there's a miracle what happened now
amazing it's amazing very very very
inspiring Rabbi freedlander and uh this
is also a lesson for every single one of
us that not to just be like oh look such
a bigad such a big righteous person and
he did so much so much kindness but
every single one of us could have that
light that ore of uh of kindness to
others as well you know I go to a lot of
different communities I have whether
it's or speaking or whatever may be I
see that the picture now I understand
the kitchen by the kitchen there's the
picture as well because the RAB was very
big into into uh into feeding people
correct there's a story there boys who
arrived one morning
to son the
second and asked them do the guys
started knocking the table no no did you
guys eat he ran out he brought them cake
and coffee he told the don't ever ask
someone if you doesn't don't be worried
about
the be worried about the gmas and the
GM well that could to their
physicalities will become the
spiritualties take care of their
physical take care of their wow and that
you could see in what like you said by
kazak you're giving for all these boys
you're giving food you bring them back
with that Judaism is lovely yes it is
it's the best It's amazing And if you
bring it out in the way what we
understand today's Days you see that you
could be a Jew you could have fun you
could be good it's the best thing in the
world 100% the the the the will come out
anyway 100% very very inspiring message
on a personal
level we have the sh it's a happening
place Kil charm I'm talking on a person
level and there's always this discussion
within a few people should it be open
door policy where there's constantly
food while there's other people saying
oh it causes a mess and there's crumbs
and there isn't that and I've always had
the opinion we do this is to have open
door let people come let the fridge be
open Let There Be cookies and cakes and
refreshments so it's 100% true it's very
very by the way said it already in the
first
it's always good to bring in the people
the minute they are sitting there they
will D they will say omine they will say
thanks and that's they're going to do
something 100% they're part of us
actually we are part of them
100% very very powerful RAB you inspired
me on a personal level and I hope
everyone that's listening and watching
all over the world will take on
something upon themselves as well we
have a minhag we have a custom and kazak
to our talks is a final message for our
broad audience the final message is and
before I'm I'm sorry before I'm going to
say the final Message is I'm going to
say what I'm going to go back to what
you said open
doors um like I said I'm from satma we
go in uniform hats and Suits but this
clis rule is not only sat orus or
whatnot we have all kinds of people
coming over there so our policy is
basically we our doors are open anybody
could come in anybody could eat is there
a phone number that people could connect
with ker I will yes if you want I should
yeah please yeah um you could WhatsApp
or text by 718 930
4859 that's the number and there's a
office number as well you could call 347
4193 and anytime anybody needs a quit to
send we don't charge money for it
amazing although we do live on the
Nations but we want everybody should
have ex easy you could always come to
chis come there and eat you don't have
to order you don't have to pay you could
give a donation if you want you don't
have to give a donation nobody's asking
nobody is bothering you and the idea is
to come
and that if you come to the sadik wants
people to come if you come toad he owes
your
favor and then there's another thing is
says what can you bring to she's not
alive if says that wants you should come
you could bring another person to you
bring another person for owes
you he owes you he's going to give it
back to you he's going to pay back
amazing now my final message to clis ro
is like this
[Music]
we open the place
of but it's a snowball there's no place
in the world right now you don't
see and it's unbelievable what happened
but everybody could be part of everybody
could be part of which
is we learned in the pasas the previous
pasas about of rovini giving food and
this is basically Pas V was the
foundation and from there we're learning
out the whole thing
from and we know that this is how he
brought back all these people to Hashem
to God we could all do that 24 hours you
see someone on the street you see
someone who needs help you help him out
sometimes it's only a few
words and from that you could bring back
generations of generations of
generations we seeing that I'm there for
10 years talking to all kinds of people
from everywhere from all walks of life
all backgrounds I see it back after 10
years I see already
Generations so we should all be with and
should help we should see M together
