in this week's torah portion parashat
terumah we learn about the various
vessels that were used in the temple
and of all the vessels there's one
vessel that has not a single dimension
that is a whole number
the ark the holy ark that had in it the
tablets of god and the torah
it is the following dimensions it's a
box it's two and a half ammo
long by one and a half ammo wide
and one and a half amount high not a
single dimension there is whole
there's no whole numbers there why is
that because if we want to be able to
get godly wisdom
we have to recognize our own brokenness
if i think i'm already whole
if i think i've got complete dimensions
to myself then there's no room in me for
godly wisdom
it's only when i can beautifully and
humbly recognize
that i'm lacking and that i'm searching
and i'm seeking
i'm looking for godly wisdom because i
want that help
i want the beauty and serenity that i
can bring into my life that's when i can
fill myself
with the torah the luchos and everything
that the our own the ark represents
may we all have the courage to be
beautifully broken and to accept god's
wisdom
with love and appreciation thank you and
shabbat shalom
you
