A Vort From the Rebbe On Achron Shel Pesach, Rabbi Leibel Shapiro - 5786

A word of the Rebbe about Yom Tov and especially about Achashal Pesach. Achashal Pesach, we say to have to be about Mashiach. And the pasukim that we read describe Mashiach. The pasukim say "Venoch al ruach Hashem, on him will rest the spirit of Hashem, ruach chochma u'vina, ruach eitzah u'gvurah, ruach da'as v'yiras Hashem." The spirit of chochma u'vina, and the spirit of advice and strength, and the spirit of knowledge and yiras Hashem. And then the pasuk continues "Veriach b'yiras Hashem", etc. That he's going to smell yiras Hashem, which means he's going to be able to judge people based on smelling. He won't even have to judge him by looking into researching his case. That's what Mashiach is. But then the Rebbe asked a shaila, a question. Every Yom Tov, when it comes to krias haTorah, when we open the Aron Kodesh before krias haTorah, there is a special tefillah that we say. And that tefillah starts with the words "Ribbono shel Olam, al yedei Moshe Rabbeinu she'alisa haTorah, Devarim she'einam b'telin", that we should fulfill what we're asking for. And then one of the things we say we're asking Devarim she'einam b'telin should be fulfilled upon us, "V'yiskaiem bonu mikra shekatuv sheyihye fulfilled on us" the pasuk that says "Venoch al ruach Hashem, ruach chochma u'vina, ruach eitzah u'gvurah, ruach da'as v'yiras Hashem." The pasuk that we said before is written about Mashiach. We're asking Hashem that that pasuk should be fulfilled upon us. And the Rebbe asks an obvious question. It's a pasuk that describes Mashiach. What do we mean when we're saying "Please let that be fulfilled upon us"? Not only does it sound wrong, it sounds even chutzpadik. You're telling standing in front of the Aron Kodesh, in front of the Sefer Torah, and both almost like making a joke here. That the pasuk that describes Mashiach, we're asking that should we it should be fulfilled upon us. How can you do that? What do we mean by saying that? So much so that there were some that said not to say it. Because it belongs it's something that has to do with Messiah not with every single Eid. So how could we say it? And the Rebbe answers that the pshat is like this. It says in Ma'ayan Einayim that every Eid has a nitzotz of Messiah within him. Every Eid has a spark of Messiah, a little bit of Messiah's neshama in him. So whatever it says about Messiah to a certain degree and a certain level could fit to every single Eid. Just like it says that every single Eid has a little bit of Moshe Rabbeinu within him. Pasuk says that Hashem said to Moshe to tell the Yidden Ma Hashem Shail Me Machkim Mimcha Kim Liyiras Hashem Elokecha. What is Hashem asking of you? Just to fear Hashem. And the Gemara asks, "V'chi Mil Yirah Mil Zutra Hi?" What do you mean all he's asking is to fear Hashem? Is it a small thing? And the Gemara says, "Yes, in Yes." L'Gabei Moshe Mil Zutra Hi. For Moshe it's a small thing. And the Alter Rebbe in Tanya asks, "But he's not talking just to Moshe, talking to every Eid. So what do we mean that for Moshe it's an easy thing? So that's what Hashem refers to every Eid that it's a very small thing to ask for to fear Hashem." And in Tanya the Alter Rebbe answers, "Every Eid has a little bit of Messiah in him. And therefore Mitzad the nitzotz of Messiah, the spark of Messiah that's in every single Eid, yes, every single Eid could do something to a certain degree in a very small level what is expected of Moshe Rabbeinu." And the Rebbe says the same thing here as well also. Since every Eid, as the Ma'ayan Einayim says, has a spark of Messiah within him, so whatever the Torah describes Messiah it applies to every single Eid in his level. And that's why we ask when we say this Ribono Shel Olam, "V'yiskaiem Bonu Mikoshi Yes, let it be fulfilled in us the possuk which is written by Mashiach that the spirit of Hashem will rest upon him. The spirit of Bina, the spirit of the spirit of Hashem. Everyone in this level. Which also explains why we only say that part of the possuk. We don't say the further where it describes Mashiach how he's going to judge etc. etc. Because that is not every single year. Every single year it is not judging. But we're describing the spirit the is spirit Mashiach is has that is something that everyone has and needs a of it. And we're asking that that should be fulfilled to all of us. The is to every Yom Tov because every Yom Tov we say this Tefillah and especially to but is a day that we say Mashiach with this possuk. Besides that we know possuk is a special is the Mashiach is stronger possuk. That's why the instituted that we should eat a special meal towards the end of the day of possuk and he called it Mashiach Sudah. By doing that we're not only expressing our that Mashiach is coming. We're even making a feast out of it. We're making a party in honor of the coming of Mashiach because the Mashiach is stronger. And that's why we have the Mashiach on that day. And that's when we have to feel that besides that we strengthen our we also have to strengthen the Mashiach that we have the part of Mashiach that we have within us and strengthen all these things that the Mashiach and all these things that the Mashiach and for sure the accepts our and we hope that this year by time we say this and time we come to possuk already we will see Mashiach with our own eyes and we'll be already in Israel together with Mashiach kingdom because of Mashiach.
