there were no doughnuts in the pit that jacob was thrown in and to make matters worse there were no latkes in the egyptian prison that he landed what kind of egyptian prison doesn't have latkes i'm telling you this is egyptian prisons without lobster call yourself an egyptian person even okay ladies and gentlemen boys and girls friends and family who i love so much [Music] yeah why not okay by the way this intro music that is playing right now and is probably about to stop right now is not just well isn't intro music for a video it is the beginning of a fabulous 16 minute and 55 seconds long music track which is very humbly entitled ultimate chanukah dance which as you see is very humble because we didn't call it the ultimate hanukkah dance because we're just so humble actually that was probably an oversight okay just kidding of course but i'm not kidding about this track i collaborated with two extremely talented individuals and robbed a bank i could made a music track for hanukkah and we are super proud of it and i'm gonna stop talking about it now because this is the late partial show not promote ellie time after dealing with and fighting different forms and representations of evil yaakov our forefather feels that the time has come for him to settle down in prosperity and serenity with his family peacefully continue the mission of the jewish people and he asks god if he can do that but the events that were about to transpire really seriously showed him that god had a very different plan that was far more dramatic and far less serene literally moving just a couple inches to change the scenery it's beautiful scenery isn't it dicef or joseph is thrown into a pit by his own brothers sold by his own brothers and ends up being sold three times and lands in egypt as a slave while his father yaakov thinks that he has been devoured by a wild animal and he is gone and yaakov lives in inconsolable grief for like the next 22 years but before we talk more about that it's hanago [Music] let's have a party we'll all dance the horror gather around the table we'll give you a treat dreidels to play with and latkes to eat so hanukkah which is now is obviously related to the torah portion which is now the question is how let's begin to solve this parasha puzzle hashem wanted yaakov to live in peace but not just the kind of peace and serenity that yakiv was asking for hashem wanted to give him the ultimate a taste of the final redemption also known as mashiach now at this point in time as of the making of this video mashiach is something we deserve but at that point in time yaakov would have to go through some insane trial tribulation like he'd never had before in order to reach that level ultimately it was precisely through these seemingly horrible events that yaakov came to live the best years of his life in egypt with his mashiach serenity as god wanted him to have and as god organized for him to have from the very beginning so the source of yakev's pain brought about his greatest pleasure and now how is it connected to hanukkah well there were no donuts in the pit that yosef was thrown in and to make matters worse there were no latkes in the egyptian prison that he landed what kind of egyptian prison doesn't have latkes okay all jokes aside the reason that we eat donuts and latkes is because they're fried in oil and although they're not fried in olive oil oil is very connected with hanukkah i probably don't have to explain why where does the olive oil come from the olive when it is crushed we the jewish people i would venture to say the world is so so ready for mashiach not so so ready for mashiach so so ready for mashiach and we are crushed [Music] whether because of our own personal state of affairs or communal or even if we in our own personal life are already in mashiach mode we're crushed because we know that there are others that are not yet living with this attitude and this fact that we are crushed should and will bring out the best within us bring out that pure olive oil that cannot be contaminated by all the world's opinions about what reality really is we gotta get in mashiach mode turn on the love the joy increase torah study and practice and this will in turn leak beyond our own personal affairs and like the oil that fueled the flames miraculously for eight days we'll be able to do so much more for others our reach will go so much further than what naturally makes sense ultimately bringing the entire world into the mode of mashiach and to the miraculous and complete and final redemption bismarck you
