Let's
make delicious challah kugel for Shabbos
kodesh.
After every Shabbos, most of us have a
lot of leftover challah.
Especially now before Pesach, we have so
much bread and challah that we don't
want it to go to waste.
This kugel is a delicious way
to elevate it and to bring it to the
next level.
It's so simple and very easy and it
needs very few ingredients.
Step number one is to cube and dry the
challah. You can either air dry it by
letting it sit outside or we can dry it
in the oven on a low temperature. Let's
dice up one large onion,
seven to 10 garlics chopped.
Now in a bowl,
let's mix together our onion and garlic,
five eggs, one cup of oil, 1 and 1/2 tsp
salt, and four cups of water. Now let's
take the mixture,
the oil, the eggs, the onions, the
water, and the salt and put it onto the
challahs.
And mix it very, very, very well
to make sure that it's all incorporated
and all submerged. We want the challahs
to absorb the moisture.
So let's let it sit for half an hour
before we put it into the oven.
Meanwhile, let's go ahead and grease a
baking pan.
Now let's go ahead and bake it in the
oven for an hour on 350.
This came out so delicious. Baruch
Hashem, yum yum.
I'm very curious. If you make this
recipe, please let us know in the
comments how it came out.
Thank you so much for watching. Wishing
for you and your family a lechtiger
lechtiger Shabbos.
I made it simple,
but I'm imagining there are many things
we can do with to enhance this recipe.
We can add poppy seeds. I added to mine
sesame seeds,
some herbs.
And if you are 100% sure that you're not
going to eat this for Shabbos and you're
going to eat it for Melaveh Malkah and
you want it to be milchik, you could you
probably add some grated Parmesan. A
lechtiger lechtiger Shabbos.
