Capcanes Vertical Tasting: Peraj Ha'abib 2022

[Music] good jorgan everybody this is jorgan we have capanas we have a crazy surprise obviously you've seen me down in the seller we're trying the 2022 perab 206 per jaib and the interesting 96 first vintage amazing I'm not sure what this is but I'm super excited so we'll start with the 2022 yes that one you had recently you said yes I I'm I meant when I said that you probably you see my videos when I go there's to a restaurant and I want a bottle for the price right it's the petite or this or FL the floor because the truth is that your Winery has very well-priced bottles compared to a lot of other wineries that are making kosher and the reason is there's a story behind it you started off we'll talk about it soon but now but actually that wonderful look at it tast we have some exciting news that's over there I don't know if you can see it well done well done again thank you so actually that's the Lum version the one you mentioned before in the restaurants is the but we're tasting but surprisingly I've tried it Side by by side and you don't tell a difference sometimes yeah so the Habib that's uh I mean that's the the the wine we started with in ' 96 it's a blend of cap Kina and gacha and it's also the wine which brought me to capanas in '96 I heard about kosher I've never had my life kosher uh came to capanas fall in love with that wine and uh uh finally they made me an offer and now I'm living here for 20 5 years became one of the two wine makers and yeah here I'm still this is awesome so when I smell this wine can you tell that it's a old vne or what's the dis stinct smell when I smell a wine from capanas from the Syria to say I mean the character of abib kabib is a very masculine wine it's a very big fruit so it's mainly based on Old wines caban ofure which nowadays they're around 40 45 years and Karin and Karin gives the rusticness the robustness high acidity but then to soften this masculine character we at around 40% of kach so it's like Kashmir sweater or something yeah a bit like that so she's she's she's actually she's my personal Queen so she's pretty she's lovely she smells great and I mean this combination of of backbone and the beauty of Gren that's that's what perab is about it's beautiful I think one of the distinct things um about per jaib is that even if you like big wines or you like elegant wines it comes together sometimes big onnes are a bit a bit too big for me plus I'm loud but like you said that you love the elegancy that you do the blend and that brings it um together you you know what's the secret is um this is 15% alcohol but you don't get it at all because K has this High natural acidity and in taste this wine is alive yeah you get you get this nerve you get the backbones you get the the goosebumbs sorry and um it's important because most of those big wines they're um they become FL yeah you don't want to go for the second class but this one it's aive it's literally life and that's the secret for me it's like Tyson the one yeah he's been around for 6 years and he's still got his punches in yeah the last one yeah on to the next [Music]
