Cantor Shloimele Rothstein Z"L - Ribono Shel Olam (Sefira)

From a granddaughter of Cantor Shloimele Rothstein Zadie was born in Bessarabia on May 1, 1891. I believe the town is Falesty. His parents were Manya (Max)Rothstein and Frima (Frances) Schectman. His grandfathers' names were Sendor Rothstein and Ber Schactman. I'm not sure about the spelling on any of the names. His parents both came to the US and are buried in in New York. He had 11 siblings. In addition to the already mentioned history of his career, he also was the first cantor to sing on KDKA radio in Pittsburgh in 1926. His wife was Esther Landes (born in Falesty). They are both buried here in Phoenix, Arizona. He died on October 19, 1966, at the age of 75.
