Welcome to another episode of
Positivity. Before we go in, I want to
give a shout out to the sponsor of this
episode, which is Ellie's Appliances.
When it comes to appliances, us as Eden,
there's always an agenda. We either want
the best quality, sometimes we want the
best quality, but for the best price,
sometimes we want our appliances to have
a shabas mode, and sometimes we just
want our appliances to be able to last
and uh and still deliver for a family
with eight or 10 kids and not break
right away. And that's where my friend
Shimmy at Ellie's Appliances comes in.
You can reach out to him. They have a
showroom in Point uh Pleasant uh New
Jersey. If you want to go uh visit uh
that um and you can also anytime just
WhatsApp him and he's going to send you
all the best options. I'm going to leave
the WhatsApp in the link in the
description. Connect with him. Even if
you don't want to buy something right
now, reach out to him and just connect
with him so that you can see special
deals and special options. Uh this is
good for if you are looking to fill up a
commercial project and you need a lot of
appliances um as they guarantee the best
prices or if you need for your house
you're building a house or if you're
looking to just get an extra uh fridge
or freezer or extra washer dryer or new
appliances and upgrade. Um keep in mind
they do deliver to all over in the
tri-state even uh even uh statewide. Um,
Ellie's appliances. Make sure to talk to
Shimmy. Mention Weber for a special
grill cover with a purchase of any Weber
grill. That's a value of almost $150.
And enjoy the the episode. Now, another
message to the people that are enjoying
this podcast. Thank you very much for
being here. Once again, I am I am
honored and thrilled to be the only
podcast that is coming out every single
week uh non-stop with beautiful episodes
on a range of a bunch of topics. I hear
and see all of your feedback and I very
very much appreciate it, especially the
ones on the hotline. I noticed that that
community is now growing the fastest
with hundreds of calls every single day.
And yes, I do hear all the messages
and I get it and I appreciate it. Alak
comments and udas and suggestions and it
truly means the world to me. My main
goal here is to inspire people, bring a
smile onto people and for me to be able
to grow and share and um and enjoy uh
doing a podcast and sharing it with all
of you. So, thanks again for being here.
Um it means the world to me and enjoy
the episode.
Okay.
Welcome to another episode of positivity
and um
of clients ice cream
>> flexible mechanist engine
>> mechanist engine and ice cream house um
and happens to be the first and only uh
we media client that I have on the
podcast and obviously at business but I
just he's a man that I very much respect
and I'll say a little bit why so is a
kidney donor is aided that's always
willing and able to help other people um
Ari is somebody that's very involved
with organizations s like uh that go to
to jail and he himself visits jails uh
very often. um a real ish that it's
always willing and able to help anybody
and to me I respect those type those
those types of people and and uh so from
his business success to his personal
life a man that is humble and and and
made his life all about
mention
a successful men and
maybe this is where I nailed it like a
mench is the CEO one of the biggest
companies out there, the best known. But
Robanto is so there's so much that you
can share from a business perspective to
sales perspective to just aid
perspective. So without further ado,
help me join help me welcome
a
>> good morning. Good morning everyone.
>> Yeah.
elite
do
>> and let's uh start.
>> It's nice to have you. Um first of all
that comes to my mind is Tom's River. So
what made you come to Tom's River?
Yeah.
and uh I decided that you know
they can afford housing
like River was always somewhere else
for a while.
>> Okay.
You know what
the city? Yeah.
Is this is this or mention?
No, that's my question meaning
or just now looking back.
Okay. But
interest rate.
Okay.
But the other hand is giving deals.
>> So always time to buy a house. Never bad
time to buy a house,
>> right?
>> And refinance
broker. But
like I did every weekend like you know
what I'm done
is the end of the story of park
>> and why what what draw her attention or
your attention
change
about Right.
And just just changing our plots and
mind, you know, the fire trucks and the
noise
parking alternate side,
you know,
still functional business.
>> Right. That's so beautiful. Okay.
I grew up in bar park all these years
till about
and in a sense yeah bar park is
beautiful and the sh of the gas or the
dry
but I really do wish that people would
move out more here at the times river
yeah but
like because
my goal is as mentioned on quality lifeg
on a deeper level people we want to stay
connected together
secure right
anxiety
neighbors
Anyway, that's why we live in this.
Yeah. Yeah. So but
the best quality of life and the best
quality of life is I think for most
people is
probably but I'm saying there is there's
a concept of city life but there's a
very good concept of you know suburban
life and I think just again
situations
financial movement cost
is
>> it's if he can do it it's definitely a
change of uh scenery.
>> It's Yeah. And you like it?
>> I love it.
>> Okay. So um and you going for work?
>> Yeah.
in the company.
Yeah.
So
is traveling to manufacturing out of the
out of the state out of the country. So
is tech
right
>> in the day daytoday operation
>> in like like daytoday stuff available
telephone
any
>> okay before we get to client's ice cream
because there's so much to talk about
over there
>> yet as we speak
correct
>> blink it
>> okay and fil
right you you sent me a picture a while
ago same couples as
the podcast up to 70 80 episodes. I
never had a kidney donor. So explain to
me fascinated by the idea although I've
heard a little bit stories do
but giving away a body part and and they
don't hide that it's very painful. So
tell us the journey of it if you want to
talk about it feel comfortable. Yeah,
sure. Why not?
>> I think you're now on the board or like
part of the organization
involved actually
close to 300 or just over 300 mention.
Wow. And it's a lot.
It's it's it's it's very very painful.
Anybody that knows a a family member or
anybody, it's living hell. It's
so
>> mention. Yeah. mentioned Weber to get
10% off when you donate a kid. I'm
kidding.
>> Yeah. How long?
>> You never know. You never know.
You never know.
>> So, let me tell you the journey.
I think it's going to be it's over seven
years that we gave
>> but uh so we gave me and my wife we gave
in the same day in
>> three months apart. The same day the day
of the month
>> three months apart.
can help each other. Yeah.
>> So 10 years before my wife did the
actual surgery, she pushed me. She wants
to give a donation. She wants to donate.
She read about it and she donate. I told
the listener
and for me
it's like
you know
like like like
I think it's
what this is. So I told her not now, not
now. And then we saw a video was
surfaced from a kidney donor uh out of I
think was deal New Jersey. I don't
remember exactly but uh we had it a
donor and we watched it online. It
happens to be in a family group the
meeting a donor with a recipient
>> in
the dining room in the kitchen. So it
came into the family group. We watched
it together at the same time.
>> I'm doing it.
>> Yeah.
[Music]
>> Wow.
>> We signed off both. I think we did it
like 6 months before we actually she had
the surgery. We signed up. We sent an
email. We followed up with renewal.
Papis. Then my wife gets a phone call
that there's somebody slept in the
island that needs a kidney and uh we did
some testing
and is while she was doing I I I got a
phone call also that I have a match from
somebody there's a like because we both
signed up together and and and
I was just going to ask
scary
like we're doing it and
the the surgery and then I says you know
what it's complicated she had a very
easy recovery I had it a little tougher
>> as men in general than a man% she gave
birth
>> yeah gave a birth and
so but but
>> shout out to all the women here yeah
definitely definitely
she
know
anybody questions
Wow.
>> So 3 months later
donated
15 August 15
>> and his kidverary.
>> Yeah.
>> So uh we had we had so
yes so we gave the kidney everything is
good I'm fresh. I'm I'm healthy and
mentioned in the most satisfying saying,
"You know what? Ari, you don't
understand that not only my wife is
healthy given a blood pressure pills."
>> Wow.
>> Zero. You're talking he was a 70 year
old at that time.
>> It says blood pressure medication.
>> Wow.
It's amazing.
Doesn't match a healthy good kidney as
long the blood type match.
[Music]
Happ
young old doesn't matter age
babies
as small as possible.
>> That means that their kidney can't put a
large one.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
Um wow. Um,
by the way, what's this?
Literally, that's what they say.
One of the reasons when I did go went
into surgery, I remember that I think I
left a message to my kids. I still have
it. I probably have to look for it. I
told my kids, listen,
yeah,
there's only something small I can give
back. Yeah.
You go out of your way has to give you
back.
>> 100%. I I agree. It's it's it's an
energy. It's like you give you get and
that's that's the energy of the world
energy in the belt
247.
So I would go every day deliver meals.
So they mention
of machine and they barely it was
sometimes just for their visitor like
I remember thinking to myself
hospital I hate it. I don't like
medical. I don't like calls. I don't
like any of these things.
Then I was thinking to myself, what do
you mean?
Help me
for for no good reason, you know, like
so it's it's
mention a situation. If the first thing
they want to see themselves out of the
situation is health similar situation
health I mentioned genital that feeling
of helping somebody else there's no
better feeling than that so makes you a
better person.
>> Yeah. So, how long was your recovery
from the
>> pain? Right.
>> I'm gonna say pain because it is pain.
>> Surgery the the recipient
>> Yeah.
>> gets better because he's a sick person
and you put it in a kidney. It's a new
engine. It's it's it starts.
>> It works every time. By the way,
>> 99.9
success is a but
>> there's some unfortunate After all,
so things other things can pop up like
heart attack stuff,
>> right? Okay.
>> But
something is the body get shock,
>> right? So that's why it's like shock.
Yeah.
>> I'm going tell you a small story what
happened.
[Music]
>> I was in Europe. I had some business and
then the end of the week we drove I went
to Vienna I have a brother-in-law there
we drove down to uh to to another couple
that we do I do travel in also
>> okay
>> so one of the things is I picked up a
couple
>> traveling
trips
>> no trium is sounds like but is a bel
organization which is founded by raoid
in in aroid in my
>> yeah what we do is we go to communities
couples
especially you know more working couples
people that have jobs and stuff, we go
to communities to connect.
>> Oh wow. Basically
families
[Music]
not really
just in the human
do in Canada it's do in in in uh in uh
in London as Right.
>> So there's groups basically we join the
we eat with them meals.
>> Yeah.
>> Just to show them where we're
Yeah.
>> So butchange
like the people like
they're like like Like there was very
lift,
you know, like was
>> and and we started dancing in
>> Wow. Connect with the families just to
show that we're one.
>> Wow.
got a ticket. The couple from the couple
got a ticket
like a day before
surgery emergency. She had no change.
She had to cancel a ticket. She was very
down from it.
>> Yeah.
guy around the room.
It's a hospital somewhere in
Pennsylvania.
Wow.
>> And she's like
me.
>> Yeah.
>> Right. So, she went for the
>> Wow. Yeah, it's true. I was I was there
already I think twice and the energy
field get the energy
>> um and
so it's beautiful um okay very nice so
now I know something else that you're
involved um
in soatons
[Music]
basically it's a
for the donors.
>> Like you know,
>> but the fact the facts don't lie.
>> Yeah. donors.
But by far the ratios off but
yeah, right. Um, beautiful. Um,
questions
for a second and um
out of all the
shadow side of it.
[Music]
But
Impossible
because the acceptance
a wide range of
was
a huge huge red flag. So
tremendous respect
perspective like
okay
>> that I watch your episode from time to
time and comment usually
regards
>> yeah
you know sometimes we can't focus enough
negative
you know Yeah. So
problems
is always open open mind.
[Music]
Yeah.
He's like,
"Yeah."
>> And you know, therapist mention
[Music]
is perfect. No, nothing is perfect. But
definitely the variety of the
more.
>> Yeah.
Flexibility still.
It's just
to do a solution to the problem.
other way is not positive today
is just usually the opposite like
43rd Streets
[Music]
meaning the face
extreme extreme to the whole new level.
Like you
It's like whatever. Yeah, I'll stick to
positivity. But I feel like bells and at
least from the perspective
multiple
and then the school system is the
date and
says
because
so I think it's a beautiful
river movement movement
sounds like a yes sophisticated
this is probably about 40 50 years ago.
>> Okay.
[Music]
So I think he saw a lot.
So
yeah,
personally personally,
you know,
but it's very vacation,
you know.
>> Yeah. Very nice. Very nice. It's
impressive.
Beautiful.
Um, okay. Klein's ice cream. Wow. So,
Cole,
um, shout out C D first cousin, right?
David Klein.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, huge shout out to him. Shout out
also to my father that actually
connected me with with
It's a you know ice cream house
and keep in mind
like rejected like
account
and
like
but it wasn't and he just called and he
went positive like okay something good
will happen
And uh I met Dv and he's just a really
nice humble guy just an amazing and
amazing person and uh a web media client
for over uh three years can so it feels
very good and then we started doing for
clients ice cream so
and it's a fun project
um so talk about it at which point did
you get involved because I understand
it's a family business so growing up
ice cream the hustle ice
Um, tell me the story.
>> Okay. So,
>> okay.
>> You range.
>> Yeah.
>> Height. Oh, wow.
>> Labels stick, you know, like empty
containers like labels.
Wow. So we we were connected. We knew we
we
so the founder of our company is
Klein Holocaust survivor
[Music]
campaign.
Okay.
[Music]
Literally from
was probably about 38
close to 40.
>> Yeah.
Wow. So
obviously
start from fresh.
[Music]
company.
Okay.
Yeah.
connected
office
cleaning offices. Wow.
Wow.
details.
Yeah.
In the warehouse in the office.
and do.
[Music]
Wow.
Yeah.
And got a sugar. got a farm in upstate
New York in mom's breeder. got a farm in
upstate New York,
you know. Yeah.
[Music]
Famous picture in the office.
Okay.
>> Picture was taken before 1955.
>> Yeah.
>> So the ice cream.
>> Wow. Right. So famous
off record.
So after a few few years later
a few years decided as a guide as a
guide.
Yeah. So
>> Okay.
>> Okay. So decided
then I got involved in the business
1995.
>> So basically
[Music]
in the business. Wow.
>> Yeah.
professional
business skills.
>> Yeah.
>> So I I'll say why I'm saying it because
sometimes I I find it fascinating,
right? Like I'm 27 years old and from
when I was a kid, Klein's ice cream. I
can remember Klein's ice cream. Klein's
ice cream. So meaning to say that I feel
like you guys stayed on top by a huge
margin for a very long time. Meaning
So to have that kind of reputation for
so many years, it shows that it's
obviously meaning that the energy
is amazing, but it's also that the young
people running it now like yourself must
be really passionate to adapt to what's
happening. Uh and that's amazing. I know
that you do it well between the
marketing the marketing campaign you did
this year with the 70 years.
I I believe I'm and I'm sure I hope as
as you know sales are up and I'm sure it
is because there's something so
nostalgic to buying a client's ice cream
product. Um talk about that. How do you
how did you stay relevant? How do you
make sure to stay relevant this year?
Summer's coming. Summer is now next year
summer. I know you have a whole list and
a schedule of products coming out. How
do you stay relevant in the business?
Real kosher ice cream. Okay
stores
[Music]
after a few years
very was very into the real kosher
the business
family And it's all about the family
and the troub
but
it's everybody feels that
we had an issue with it. I take it
personal. It's not only money. It's not
it's it's everything and
>> right
>> we we besides by using the best
ingredients as possible but this recipe
for
>> Yeah.
>> And I we we we're on top of the ball.
We're trying to do
>> Yeah. The consistency is so on point.
Like it's always the same. It's always
the taste is always there. It's always
good. Um, you know, I think the question
everybody wants to know is who comes up
with the products, whose ideas is it? Is
it a family thing? Do you s do you uh
hire people for this? Do you sit down
with people and we're like, okay,
green on top in the who decides these
things? I'm sure
probably no buckets for ice cream. I'm
assuming
explain to me the sophistication of the
ice cream.
>> So the ice cream
of an ice cream.
>> Okay.
But they have a pop on a production
side. I I think it's about
Google,
>> but I think it's a couple hundred years.
>> Okay.
>> That's what I do. I travel a lot.
I follow I have companies that
ingredients companies would update us
because we're not a small company
anymore. Back in the days company big
deal now we're a place we're a market
people know about us.
>> So automatically connection
we we're aware of it. We we we we're
again obviously this is
this is but
don't kids don't lie adults if if I give
you a sample
you know say there's there's more
there's There's things in stake that you
know even a friend of mine
but kids you give them if the kids we
had an item
is like
okay
>> it was something unique very natural
very very into vice
It was something like we touched a
company that very high end
>> and we made the product.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah. Yeah. And
the no don't tell me but I saw right
away this guy nish bringing it to the
next level this
>> Wow.
>> Yeah we didn't make it again.
>> Very interesting.
>> Yeah because kids don't lie.
>> So tell me what's what's the number one
seller as we speak.
>> Vanilla ice cream by far
>> the bucket. The bucket vanilla ice
cream.
>> Why why the buckets by the way? Just
because it's like cheaper and people can
just serve it other Why is it such a hot
item? Buckets.
>> Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay. So, something about a bucket.
>> It's a family. We're very into family.
>> Family, right?
>> Very, very interesting. Um, what do you
say to those people?
[Laughter]
What what's your opinion on it actually
helps
pint of ice cream?
>> Yeah.
Ice cream house flavors.
Yeah. Yeah.
Then after I was I was listening to
something and
>> Yeah. Yeah. 100%.
When they're having a down mood,
there's something so satisfying to it.
Um, okay. What's after vanilla ice cream
from the pops
guy?
Would you say
>> most probably sandwiches and cones?
>> Sandwich ice cream. Cones ice.
>> Cones are probably the first go
sandwiches. Then there's more. There's a
crash bar. There's other
>> people love sandwich ice cream. Why do
people like sandwich ice cream so much?
Cookie
cake a cracker cone.
Um, why do kids love ice cream? Cones,
sprinkles.
>> Kids love
a ice cream.
>> Joe Biden, right?
Pistachio ice cream.
>> Yeah.
Yeah.
But Joe Biden is the old time liman's
joke. the the cartoon, the ice cream
joined the company.
So
the nursing homes, hospitals, some
and whatever the driver uh didn't go to
the stop, he had an inspection. He
needed he needed a certain time. So
10 minutes away, take my car and and
just dropped a few boxes. I remember I
went for the front gate in the kitchen.
So I went from the front. So in the ice
cream and alter in the wheelchairs,
ice cream, ice cream. So then it says in
the cup, it's like it's really for every
age, you know? It's like
>> 100%. What about winter winter versus
summer? I know that a lot of people just
they enjoy ice cream regardless, but how
much is the increase in summer sales?
>> It's a big It's a big increase.
>> 50 100% let's say if you want to sh
>> 60% like literally. So just jump that
off and
areas like Florida.
So change
yeah like why not ice cream is another
one. It's tricky cuz mention
flavor but
obviously from ice creams. So how how do
you make a part of ice cream taste so
good? What's is there a trick?
>> It's it's as good and very very close to
but nothing nothing is going to beat a
ice cream. It's like a veggie burger and
a burger
vegetarian and of the animals but
burger is a burger. Yeah.
>> Bread. Red. Wow. It's so interesting.
What's your favorite client's product?
>> Vanilla ice cream. Vanilla ice cream.
>> Just regular vanilla ice cream.
>> Regular vanilla ice cream.
>> It's very interesting. Get the fruit
bar.
>> Yeah,
>> get the fruit bar.
>> Okay,
that I wanted to ask you.
And
it's the keto diet. So keto is basically
you're basically staying under 50 carbs
per day. So your body is basically
burning um fat instead of carbs. Meaning
I'm not giving him carbs to burn. Most
people they eat so much bread a day that
the body just goes to that bread and
burns it. For me, I'm not eating those
carbs. So my body is burning fat. Bam.
I'm losing weight. I feel good. It's a
whole It's a keto diet has a whole like
science to it. For some people it works
good. For some people doesn't for me it
works. So into carbs of the product and
I saw you have a whole line of healthy
products. Zero sugar, sugar-free,
whatever the alamina is and very low
carb as well. So we bought the
strawberry vanilla pops. It's only six
carbs per pop. That's very very good.
Let's see. Done. Cups of ice cream.
So how do you decide how much healthy
products to make? Do you see now that
there is a market for healthier
products? Um is that something you work
towards? Um is ice cream in general in
general unhealthy?
>> Not really. Does ice cream in general
ice cream in general is health
but sugar freeze and the sort items it's
becoming a certain more of a talk
in tuned into them especially with the
colors now with
RFK whatever.
Um, so in some some of my products in
the Netherlands kicking off the sauce
do shuffle rocket
zoom pops.
>> Yeah. So it has natural color, natural
flavor.
>> Oh yeah.
>> So
make
as a demand that's going to go if if
people are going to need more
sales team. Yeah.
>> If the product doesn't move off the
shelf.
>> Yeah.
>> It it sells is he makes commission on
each box. So it's kind of
shelf.
>> So it really depends on the oil.
>> It it always depends on oil.
>> Okay. Tell me two products. One that you
thought is not going to sell and it did
sell. one that you thought is gonna sell
or an idea that you thought is gonna
sell, but then when you put it onto the
shelves, it didn't sell.
>> Very interesting.
>> Without plans. Yeah.
Strawberry chocolate.
>> Okay.
>> The strawberry chocolate buckets.
>> Correct.
Discontinued. We were upset.
Uhhuh.
connected to them.
It's a beautiful graphics product was
delicious,
>> right?
So I was upstate New York visiting the
warehouse there and I saw was a return
like in the side over there like all the
returns.
>> Yeah.
buckets
you know kind of
one phone call
right
>> but
I don't know we did
marketing did so much
traditional
Right.
>> And and
this is I think we're traditional. We
[Music]
I need room for them, right?
>> Like I need more bedrooms, more privacy
and dining room,
>> right?
>> Spend million dollar to get
over here for a fraction of the money,
>> right?
So it it but change.
>> Okay. Okay. So this year, so let's talk
about a positive. Okay. So give me a
product that you thought will not do
well and did do well.
>> Oh,
the 99 calories.
>> Yeah, I was going to ask about that.
>> You afraid it's going to get sold out or
>> production is scheduled. Okay.
>> It's very very close to be finished.
>> But this is healthy. I can eat it. It's
10 carbs per bar.
>> This is delicious. The chocolate for
them is good. The ice cream for them
came out next level.
The calories 99
included
sugar
and this took off. I I bought it in
because you know what
islands but it's it's really really
>> So what explain to me you launch a
product
that you
everybody that sees it just grabs it by
it looks like it I think
okay this is good fine
It just takes off. It's the packaging
[Music]
just goes and iced coffee
was was whack. Was whack
but still a strong item.
>> This knife and ste.
>> What about the dough bites? So
overpriced
I tell you what it's loved
because I used to post it on my status
of
>> it's it's it's there.
>> Okay.
>> But
the mochi, right? Mochi is a product by
the
ice cream and the
Japanese.
>> Exactly. No, it's a bis
in a sense were very traditional.
>> So I I remember I had samples from the
moi.
>> Yeah,
>> this is
probably about 10 years ago.
>> Okay.
>> And in my house
with kids.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow.
In a sense, you're saying now that your
family is the people that decide
>> to
like if I can't get a feedback.
>> Yeah.
>> Is
right now. Do you see different um types

may say the amount of messages we get

store.
You saw what happened to Lakewood here.
I think you guys are extending it or
something. It can be parked in the back

their computer. Yeah. Order take like
somebody told me
order

so the second
built of the computer
is the kitchen,
>> right? Very interesting.
Wow. Um, how do you see retail different
than the kind of wholesale? How do you
see retail different than the the
sitting in kind of market? Mention And
it's an experience experience.
>> Unbelievable.
Right. Yeah. Mhabas and bar

>> Like there's
>> I'll tell you,
>> there's other pe between me and you,
there's other people that do it. There's
other people that try. There's other ice

>> Yeah.
>> If you you focus on yourself, then you
can you can try.

it's like kind of

>> Yeah.
>> You know, but but but he is time after
time, you know. vision
