Can a couple rebuild trust after there's been betrayal?

How do I help couples rebuild trust after betrayal? The question I'm going to ask them is, if you had trust, what difference would that make to you? Why is trust important to you? Well, if we had trust, we'd have connection. We'd have love. We'd had in whatever the answer is. Now, I can ask questions that would empower them to start looking for those qualities. I don't know how, but if somehow trust returned and you were able to feel more intimate, you'd be able to feel more love, how would you notice it? If somehow tomorrow morning you felt like trust was there, how would you notice it on your husband? How would you notice it on your wife? How would you notice it within yourself? Empowering them to look for what they want so they can rebuild what they really want to have returned.
