what if my child says to me and who which high parent has not had this happened to him oh but all the other kids are doing it all my friends are doing it everyone's going to Florida this year why can't we go how should you react if that's not something you think should be done about a Ruttenberg thank you every kid goes south or everyone I honestly don't have any great answers to the question I think I was asked that twice today by two of my kids the best answer I think I could give to that question is is ultimately there is no good answer and you know is education of our children is based on example is based on being the right example to our kids there's no perfect message that you can tell your kids that's gonna make the difference and get through the best thing you can do is be the best role model yourself so if you're asking your kids not to do a certain thing let's say it's not to have a certain type of smartphone and they're saying oh but everyone in my second grade has a smartphone hopefully not second-grade but they're saying everyone in my class has a smartphone and everyone's every other parent allows this you know and you know at home a lot of them are saying the same thing you know everyone has right but if the very reason why you don't want your child to have that device let's say it's something that you practicing yourself that self control or whatever it is that you want you're much more likely to get the point across and be able to get the message across so I really believe that the overarching principle is kind of as not exciting as this is to say is to work on ourselves to be the best role model that we can be [Music] you [Applause]
