British Airways Flight 165 Diverts From Tel Aviv To London

make an assessment uh when they got the information that they required from the uh staff on the ground um air craic did talk about opening up the airport but there was very uh uh very increased activity with uh the Israeli Air Force all around the airport um and our security team in London who have far more information that we are aware uh made a decision that it wasn't safe for us to land at Tel Aviv um and obviously uh safety of our crew and including yourselves as a p of course are our complete priority we all wanted to get you to Tel Aviv uh but it was a decision that was made back in London um I know some of you have asked why we can't go to alternate airfields uh but our security services have just said that they do require airpl back in London um there is some issues with accommodation uh and various other issues regarding diverting somewhere else uh I know that's not what you want to hear and I do completely understand how convenient that is uh I do apologize for that but as it stands just now uh we are returning back to L ethro and once we uh know more uh we'll obviously come back to you so please just bear with us please just uh be genter with our cabin crew uh we're all in the same situation uh we're all trying to resolve this as best we can and once we have more information uh we will come back of course and give you that information as soon as we can and I know obviously there's many of you are concerned about the situation on the GR in Tel Aviv and if we have anything further we will come back to you so just please do bear with us and just we do appreciate your patience and we'll give you an update further when we can thank you
