Have you ever been in a moment where the urge to see something is so great, you almost feel like - Hashem, what do you want from me? What am I supposed to do? And you almost feel like Hashem, like, lets. It's a crazy thought, but you almost think that a little bit. So a few weeks ago, I took 27 boys to Eretz Yisroel, and we went to Chevron Yeshiva and we met with one of the Roshei Yeshiva, and he said a little Vort that really resonated. And these were modern boys, but it really resonated with them. He says, after Yaakov Avinu fought with the Mal’ach of Esav all night, Yaakov Avinu wins, the Mal’ach loses, and the Mal’ach says: I want to go say Shira, I want to go sing. The question is: Why do you want to go sing? You just lost. The answer is this and it's incredible. The answer is that the Mal’ach of Esav, the Yetzer Hara, was not put on this earth to win. He was put on this earth to ultimately lose. He was put here to create challenges and to lose. So in the morning, when the Mal’ach of Esav which is the Yetzer Hara, when that Mal’ach of Esav, when he lost, he said: Now it's time to sing because I did what I was here for. So when you’re put it in that position, when you're pulled, and you feel like - Oh, this is so hard! That's what it's there for. It’s there specifically to be hard and for you to overcome what's hard. When you overcome that moment, when you overcome the difficult moment, the moment that has the greatest pull, that's when you're accomplishing what you’re here for. You think the world was made for life to be easy? You think the world was made for there to be nothing to pull your eyes? The world has 100 things around here, a thousand things to pull your eyes. And your ability to stay in the zone is what makes it the cause to sing. If it was easy, there would be nothing to celebrate. The fact that it’s hard is what makes the moment great.
