BLOOD AND FROGS. FIRE AND ICE.

it's about time [Music] thank God love Jews go faster yes been changed - no okay let me explain that video was taken last year the late partial show and in it I am wrapping a wrap because what else would I be wrapping being a wrap that my mother wrote for Passover and it is extremely relevant to this week's Torah portion because in this week's Torah portion Moses and his brother Aaron confront Pharaoh and in the name of godly declare let my people go and Pharaoh was like go the word no no no no I will not let them go cuz I'm Pharaoh you're lame Pharaoh as you may know because Pharaoh was stubborn God struck Egypt template the first seven are in this week's Torah portion the first plague was the plague of blood the Nile River Egypt source of water and Egypt's did turns into blood the cold water of the Nile represents our sometimes cold and apathetic indifferent attitude towards holiness its transformation into warm blood teaches us that we must make sure to develop a warmth and an excitement towards holiness like realizing that our relationship to God and our Tara is our vitality and our life as blood inside of a living person one may ask why is it so necessary that I become so excited about serving God I won't sin I'll do the right thing I just won't be excited about it well I don't know the answer to that question because I don't know the answer it's a lot of questions but I have a rebel who does and the rebus says that you're not going to be unexcited about everything in life if you're not excited in the right places the wrong things are gonna get you excited after the plague of blood came the swarms of frogs these wet creatures went everywhere even inside of the hot ovens this teaches us that after the plague of blood the first step changing our cold apathy towards holiness to warmth and energy now comes time to take that cold apathy and directed towards material things indifference could be very positive if it's directed towards material things that's right there it is indeed and the seventh place which is the last plague who learn about in this week's Torah portion was hail hail noxious device put a fire and ice it was hell I tell ya that's what I just said the hail and one plague showed us both of the lessons we learned from the blood and the frogs fire on the inside a burning passion for what really matters and really counts your relationship with God your relationship with your fellow with your spouse with your children your fulfillment of Torah and mitzvot your identity as a Jew and on the outside anything negative the world has to say or offer ice indifference coldness good luck and shabbat shalom
