Sometimes we feel that we're ready to give up. We've tried to work on our Shmiras Einayim time and time again, but the Nisayon only becomes greater and stronger. The last Mishnah in Masechtas Pe’ah says, A person may not mimic somebody that is a חיגר, that is lame. As the Mishnah reads, A person that's not lame, he has two healthy feet, or he's not blind, he has two healthy eyes, but he makes believe that he is lame, that he is blind, in order to get people's Rachmanus, to get people's compassion, says the Mishnah: אינו נפטר מן העולם he won't leave this world, He will be punished and Chas V’Shalom, he will turn lame and he will become blind. Says the heilige Saraf of Strelisk, This is not only true in the world of Gashmius, this is also true in the world of Ruchnius. If a person's going down the street and he wants to look at a ראייה, he wants to view a certain image, and he says: No, I'm making myself blind. and he tries again and again, says the heilige Mishnah, we have a promise from Chazal, אינו נפטר מן העולם he won't leave this world, until the Aibishter will make this second nature. He will become blinded, without any excitement, without any pull toward the inappropriate image. That will be the Schar of a person. We have to hold on. Try again and again and again. Then we’ll be zoche to elevate ourselves till we’ll reach this Madrega, that the Aibishter will purify our hearts and souls and we will be zoche to the
