past let's go look for all the times that our prayers were answered Hashem I know you answered me in the past in this situation in that situation and first of all it makes it easier for me to turn to Hashem again it helps me but besides that it's a reminder as it were to Hashem that hey you helped me before please help me again says the you are always my Fortress of strength therefore I desire that which it says in the next p it says I love him let me live in your tent hem forever let me be able to be protected in the in the hidden spot of your wing sah so he's saying that you are always the one who protected me and took care of me and therefore I say I want to live near you I want to live in your presence Hashem and I want to be protected by you by your protective wing for real request of is let always work you've helped me in the past let it be consistent I want to live in that space I want to live in that place where I'm always calling out to you and you're always of honor for you if he wouldn't help us and he wouldn't save us so what we're saying is we don't believe that we really deserve it God you don't owe it to me we don't it's not it's not something to prove he doesn't make promises and then resend his promises take them back and I was thinking that you know this is perhaps one of the most powerful lessons that mankind can learn right it's it's very enticing for human beings to believe that there was a chosen people they were pushed aside they did wrong and now we're the chosen people oh and then the next one goes along says they were pushed away and we're the chosen people but the downside of that you might think that you're now the chosen people but now what you have basically said is that when somebody sins and does wrong they're lost they can't ever come back they're destroyed they're they're finished the greatest story of chuva the greatest story of someone who's done wrong and fixes his actions and comes back to Hashem is the story of am Israel yeah we did do wrong yeah we were axile yes we've been out of our land for 2,000 years but what a story of hope not just for am Israel but for the whole world that when you do what's wrong when you do what's wrong it's not an eternal uh verdict upon you even if you've been punished but it's not an eternal punishment you can come back to your land you can come back to your for everyone for every human being that Hashem takes us back Hashem protects us Hashem wants us even when we've done wrong he still is interested in us for his Honor's sake he made a promise he's going to stand by this people forever so he has to save us he has to protect us has to take care of us he can't destroy us completely it's it's an incredible lesson I think that's part of what's going
