Bitachon 174 - In The Pain Hashem is There

you're listening to the 174th edition of the B podcast we continue in chapter 56 verse 5 of in God I shall praise His matter his word may I trusted in God I'm not afraid of whatever flesh and blood will do to me King David tells us elim as we'll soon see I praise the word of God Elohim denotes God's Divine attribute of of of Justice not Mercy I will praise God in his Divine Justice I trust in God I trust in God's Divine Justice that means God can manifest sometimes in Mercy in showing us kindness in showing us Grace and sometimes Hashem God manifests with us with judgment with difficulty with challenges and King David is telling us that it doesn't matter to me how God is manifesting if God is God is my parent God is he loves me that encompasses all of his attributes but sometimes he interacts with me in a in a way which it's hard for me to appreciate it's hard for me to value and yet King David says I value the way that God interacts with me I praise him I trust that even his attribute of justice is also something that's good for me and I'm not afraid of human beings even though and I'm adding this even though those human beings might be the the way or the means to which God manifests his judgment this is very poignant to be studying this together right now as the Jewish people go through this difficult time as we go through this time together says in Rashi explains what we said that even God comes and interacts with me with his Divine attribute of Justice a hollow I still will praise him I will trust him says the King David classically was running from one place to another he was being chased he was exiled and he still trusted he said I still trust you Hashem right because running and being ran after and being in Exile is an indication of God's justice of God's anger says I'm not afraid of what flesh of what a human being will do to me that means that I recognize there's a recognition a clear recognition that everything is from Hashem not afraid of human beings I'm only afraid Hashem of you I only fear you says says the when when he says by inem in God I will I will praise His word it doesn't just mean in God it's a swear it's an oath he's swearing by God I promise I swear I will praise word is saying I promise you God by God I will keep what does he mean a I will praise His word it means I will keep his word I will keep his Commandments I will do God's will and I will fight his Wars I will keep fighting until the war is one I will not give up I'm not afraid of any human being I'm not afraid of sinor I'm not afraid of Arabs I'm not afraid of I trusted in you Hashem what can a human being do to me nobody can do anything to me without God's will without God deciding that that's that's what's supposed to happen to me trust even more and this is something I'm share with you before but I want to repeat it he would say that if you have a question which way to go in life which path to follow what what's the right thing for me to do and it involves a difficult situation it involves something you don't know what the outcome is going to be it could it looks bad or looks like there may be a negative outcome if you can find a you can find a clear directive from the Torah that this is the right thing to do it might be something that looks like it's going to have a negative outcome but you can be solidly assured can be confident that if you follow the halak if you're going after aem's word if you're doing God's will so then the outcome is going to be positive may not be positive immediately it might take time to see the positive outcome but it's it's more possible it's you got a better chance of having me talk if inside of yourself you know you're doing what's right the says comes out says the ran that sometimes a person can a person who believes in hem person who believes in she believe that you do what's right you get rewarded if you do what's wrong person gets punished so such a person can say look I've done wrong maybe I don't deserve Divine assistance maybe I don't I don't deserve the ran spells that clearly it's very interesting because it's kind of a you know back in for us here because yes we we have more of an ability to trust in hem when we're doing what's R and we know we're doing its R but at the same time a true is not afraid that the sins that they've done are going to cause him something negative King David says in 112 ver7 a sadic a righteous individual somebody who trusts in God is Not Afraid afid of bad news he's not afraid his heart his heart is straight his heart is set his heart is confident inem our says brings our and he says I trusted in God I'm not afraid I'm not afraid of a of a negative outcome I'm not afraid of what human beings might do to me even if I'm experiencing judgment meaning even if I know I've sinned even if I expect something negative to happen because of my sins I can still always turn to God with trust I can still be confident that Hashem will give me exactly what I need he will help me he'll take care of me he'll protect me I don't have to be afraid so it's really two different approaches here one's thei and we'll see again it's going to be some other sheas here but one is that I can strengthen my B by actively seeking to do God's Will and it's not a contradiction to the fact that if I've done something wrong and I'm aware of that I can still be I can still trust in hem I can still strengthen my it could be the very strengthening of itself and turning back to hem is what helps me and perhaps removes my sin or gives Hashem as it were an opportunity to ignore my sin brings the T says you should love AEM your God with all your heart with all of your soul with all of your your plenty our s just teach us it means what is plenty it means with all of the different attributes that God gives to you that God measures out to you in all of them thank God that means that every situation that you find yourself in thank you Hashem something bad is happening to me thank you Hashem something good is happening to me thank you Hashem and a person needs to receive it all with joy as OPP you him later we're going to see not just Bim not only when I experience God's Divine Justice do I praise God do I sing to God but even obviously it's more obvious but when when Hashem has mercy upon me when he shows me his kindness I praise him but it's both I need to praise God and thank God and be joyous with God in both circumstances whether it seems good or or it seems not Isaiah the prophet which we just read in says I will rejoice inem that's which is my soul will sing glad song in my God elim in the attribute of God's Divine justice so there's a duality we experience hashem's interactions with us sometimes positively sometimes less positively but always says the should be with love with with joy with acceptance rightel rejoices even in M even when he experiences God's divine attribute of Justice says I know that God is going to help me I know that my help is going to come from above and it's for two reasons that I know this first is because I don't I know it's going to come the Salvation is going to come because I trust in Hashem I praise His word right is sure that it's going to work out good God promised him that he's going to be the king so he's not afraid because he has hashem's promise and I praise His promise I praise His word I believe his word I believe his promise Shen the second reason King David knows that it's going to be good he's going to experience salvation and I have to think about this in terms of today you know it's very easy think about it 1967 we're surrounded by enemies who want to destroy us it's very easy to think hey maybe maybe hates us maybe he wants to destroy us heaven forbid but there's a promise King David have had a promise and really that promise is to us the promise is that ultimately the Jewish people will get back the promise of King David there's going to be a Malo Jewish people are going to rule over the world so we don't have to be afraid because of the promise the second reason that I'm Not Afraid the the reason that I'm I'm sure I'm confident I'm going to be saved is because I trusted in God we turn to God and we are sure just like King David did I'm sure that you're going to save me because I'm sure you're going to save me why God Saves and takes care of all those who trust in him okay therefore I will not be afraid what can any human being do against me if Hashem is on my side no human being can affect me negatively without God's permission and I'm trusting in hem and therefore I have a promise of hasem I'm trusting in hm and therefore I know he's going to S he's going to help me he's going to save me here brings it's obviously a high level but it's worth hearing of course that the individual is on a very high level appreciates appreciates the intense value of difficulties because that person that individual which we should strive to be like that individual recognizes that if challenges and difficulties are coming to me right now I'm paying off the debt that I owe and if I've paid off the debt if I've experienced a negative situation I can be sure I can be confident that the salvation is about to arrive I'm not afraid anymore King David is telling us why because the sin is gone there's nothing more to fear it's been erased what can a human being do to me initially I was afraid because says King David because I knew that there are many spiritual forces that are arrayed against me as we spoke about previously because of my sin but now that I've experienced difficulties now that I've experienced I I've cleaned it off I don't have to be afraid of any human beings I don't need to be afraid of any anyone anyone right whatever is happening here is completely a manifestation of what's going on in heaven and if if in heaven all of my accusing angels have been destroyed why because I've receed I've I've paid my due paid my dues so to be worried we see this principle from Jacob when Jacob f with the angel that night as he was on his way to interact with asov as he was going to fight a spiritual fight he knew that as was coming to kill him with 400 men but first he had an interaction with the angel of asov and in that interaction the angel was not able to overcome yov Jacob was successful in that struggle All Night Long by they were struggling all night long till the morning yob was Victorious Angel couldn't beat him and that manifested it was a sign for him if that angel can't beat you ASA can't beat you either and that's also true in our experiences if we experience difficulties challenges it's cleaning us off and once we're cleaned that means that the Angels Above the the the negative Angels they don't have power over us and if they don't have power over us no human being will have power over us it's just a manifestation of who we are and where we are important principle foundational principle and of course we're 40 days away it's right now 40 days away from Yumer a month away from rashash and it has to be on our mind how do we get rid of those accusing Angels one way is chuva one way is repentance and another way is the challenges and the difficulties that we go through we need to know that those clean us off important princi Le and finally here he brings in the sh speaking of L we're talking about and it's all about my commitment to hasm my Comm to God like we saw at the beginning in God I praise His his word I I swear to God as it were I'm supposed to swear but I King David is making an oath he says I swear to God that his word is what's Paramount to me I'm committed to my beloved one I'm committed to God if I keep all of the words of the Tah asem requests soem will now listen to whatever I ask of him I'm doing whatever you request God now I humbly ask that you do whatever I request the says we say God fulfills the will of those who fear Him God will listen to us if we show it's it's time for CH which really means time to get back to our relationship with God time to ask ourselves what is hashem's Will for me that's part of what talking is about it's working on my relationship with God yes of course God will help me even if I've sinned but there's a there's more I would say there's more of a sense inside of myself that I can trust God and and God is going to come through for me if I'm really trying to have a good relationship with God if I'm trying to do his will says in in in Job chapter 22: 28 all you need to do is as it were make a decree that sadic makes a decree he says something and Hashem fulfills it this is what the said in the name of the sh's grandfather this is what it means I'm to my beloved if I know in my heart that I'm his that I'm doing his will that I'm seeking to serve him to figure out what it is that he wants from me then I'm certain that God is for me as it were that my beloved is to me this is what it means in the in the verse when it says in God I shall praise His matter it means that I'll fulfill his will like we saw earlier the result of me being committed to his word to his will is that now I know I can trust him I'm not going to be afraid what can a human being do to me so what greater lesson to think about to contemplate to work on now for the next month I 40 days that are recommitment to and there's a reward there's a relationship that we develop with God when we seek his will and that relationship results in the ability to be confident that what we ask for of hem God will do in return Thanks so
