the fellowship is our community and we
are a global family and we have been
handpicked from around the world and
what makes this Fellowship so unique is
that all of us are dedicated to
Preparing ourselves for the great day
which seems to be closer than ever but
at the same time things are more intense
than ever before the hostage videos the
terrorists being released the tears the
fears it's just I've never experienced
such a time in Israel
and our community it's not that we want
to only connect and
learn but we really want to live a life
of amuna a life of biblical Faith
because only biblical faith can help us
through these times and bring us to the
Finish Line there is no other way and
what I realized is that in this story of
Exodus it really pinpoints one of the
most important principles of biblical
Faith how we need to approach every
challenge in life how we need to
approach when we feel we're stuck in
slavery how are we ever going to get out
so I want to go through the story and I
hopefully want to bring new insight for
all of us it begins in Exodus chapter 5
verses 22 and 23 the context is Moses
finally goes to pharaoh and GS up the
courage and says let my people go and
then Pharaoh turns around and doubles
down on the Israelites and makes their
workload even harder and the people of
Israel are devastated and Moses of
course is distraught and what he says is
to God why have you sent me ever since I
came to pharaoh just speaking your name
he has dealt worse with this people and
you have not saved your people at all
what is going on I thought you were
going to save Israel and you've only
made Israel's life more difficult I
thought you were going to bring the
Jewish people back to the land of Israel
and redeem them and right now there are
hostages that have been in Kamas
captivity for over 400 Days it's like
they're living in a holocaust reality
inside the land of Israel You're not
saving your people at
all and then God answers and God's
answer to Moses is really an answer to
all of us right now and it's in Exodus
chap 6 verse
one now in my opinion Exodus chapter 6
verse1 should have really been the last
chapter of verse five but the scholar
who decided to put the different verses
and chapters I think he messed this one
up because really what God says to Moses
and then the Lord says to Moses now you
shall see what I will do to Pharaoh he
tells Moses wait and see be patient
eventually you'll see how every hardship
is a step toward a greater Redemption
with with Messiah
eyes it's to see even in moments of
Crisis they may ultimately lead toward
salvation you have to broaden our
perspective to view reality through a
lens of Faith a lens of amuna we're all
in a process Israel is in the midst of a
historic process just wait and see the
Sal ation of God a process takes time to
unfold and God's answer to Moses is
saying
wait now you'll see my salvation
everything takes time and everything
needs to be seen Through The Eyes of
faith that God's plan is unfolding over
a long period of time that's true for
our lives that's true for Israel's Life
as a nation and that's true for the
whole world I mean even now we can look
back to the disengagement we can look
back to the disastrous decisions that
were made and now see Gaza that we
actually may remove the evil from the
land and only decades later we realize
that even those crisises even those
disasters all of those things have set
the stage for where we are now
but that's one side of the stick but
biblical Faith you have to hold both
sides of the stick so one side is saying
just wait be patient Broad in your
perspective see things through a lens
Paradigm of Holiness and Faith but at
the same time there's Exodus 14 verse1
15 and this is key and the Lord said to
Moses why do you cry to me tell the
children of Israel to go forward once
their back are to the Sea and the
Egyptians are running to them of course
the people of Israel start to complain
and cry in fact it's the first Jewish
joke in the Bible the Jews say Moses why
did you bring us out to here were there
no good graves in Egypt you had to bring
us out here to die and it's like you
could already see the beginnings of
Jackie Mason and Jerry Seinfeld humor in
the Bible of the Jewish people
complaining and then Moses of course
calls out to God and then God says why
are you crying to me tell the children
of Israel to go forward and you realize
to go forward there was nowhere to go
where are they going to go their backs
are to the Sea the Egyptians are on the
other side closing in on them go forward
to
where what about just broadening our
perspective and having faith
is that the other side of the stick on
one hand we need to see reality through
our lens Paradigm of
emuna but at the same time emuna
literally means Faith backed with action
and sometimes I have moments in my life
where I don't know what to do other than
to call out to God and please God send
the Messiah please God send me salvation
please God just get me out of this
scenario I'm just relying on you and
then Hashem says why are you crying to
me go move forward even in the most
challenging
times move your pieces on the chessboard
even if there's not a very good move you
have to take the best move possible and
always act in faith it's not right to
wait for the Messiah to come it's not
wait to just to to just wait for God's
salvation you have to believe in God's
salvation and at the same time you have
to practice your faith with action and
whatever it is it means to step out in
faith first even if you don't see that
it's a good move even if it means
walking into the red SE saying well if I
want me to move forward God is calling
me to move I'll move and Shon Ben
aminadav the prince of Judah the leader
of the tribe of Judah began to walk into
the Red Sea and then God says Moses lift
up your staff and split the sea but it
was that
combination of belief that God will save
us but so much belief that we're always
ready to take action that's backed with
faith that is the key and so I want to
bless all of us
that in these times
ahead sometimes it may feel like there
is no way forward well broaden our
perspective and know that we may wake up
and tahila may make us pancakes for
breakfast because president Trump has
announced we're going to revolutionize
Gaza and it also could mean that with
whatever challenge you have take the
next step in faith with complete faith
and then God will always come to deliver
so I bless us all all to walk with the
biblical faith of Israel
