The TRUTH about Iran's attack on Israel

he all right Rabbi Manis Freeman thank you for joining us here tonight obviously the world is talking about what happened in Israel recently um being attacked by Iran and uh there's a lot of speculation right now as to was it a victory for Israel was it not a victory for Israel and I would love to hear your perspective on what are some potential next steps as to what you think should be going on from a perspective in the coming days and weeks well you know we can off we can talk about a Torah perspective it doesn't necessarily mean that we have a good strategy because circumstances are unique in each case and it has to be applied you know like surgically but there's no question that this was an incredible miracle I mean this is a miracle of biblical proportions yeah we're not talking about a rag tag group of terrorists with their with their Rockets we're talking about a very sophisticated Army and that Israel seems to be protected by an invisible wall and that's that's really really a a major miracle and anyone who doesn't see it just doesn't want to see it I'm sure Iran saw it so yeah it was a victory and that it discourages further attacks they would have to be very desperate to try again but I'm sure they are desperate and they probably will try again maybe differently maybe something else but but here's the real issue Iran has been a problem for a very long time you know to treat it as if Iran just now became a player that's simply not true Iran has been a player for a long time maybe since the 60s that's a long time and Israel didn't do anything about it in all these years which is a mistake you know how in medicine even the best medicines that are most effective for the disease for which it's prescribed almost every one of them as side effect if it's good for the liver it's not good for the kidney if it's good for the the heart it's not good for the lungs if it's good for the heart it's not good for the brain there's always a downside and you have to read the counter indication the same is true with secular uh Rules of Engagement the Geneva conference came up with rules for war they're good up to a point they have really bad side effect so for example I don't remember in like in biblical times if a nation attacked another Nation you never saw them say if you do that again you're going to get it there's never if you do that again you attacked you're in trouble this modern thinking you know don't don't react immediately give a warning with you sorry don't let them do it again and if they do it a second time give them a stronger warning if they're not a afraid of you and they're willing to do a first strike what what what is a warning going to do they know what you're capable of and they and they and they challenged you they attacked so what are you saying I'm warning you what what does that even mean it means I'm giving you another chance and the question is why why are you giving someone who attack you another chance that does not make moral sense almost all the rules that were passed or established in the Geneva conference they're all a little suicidal they sound nice on paper but they cost lives in real in the real world the Torah attitude is if someone is threatening you they are a full-fledged enemy and you should retaliate to the threat if they can threaten and you do nothing you're encouraging War you're encouraging an attack if they can attack once and you don't retaliate you just warn them you're highly immoral you're making it okay to start a war you've already made it okay to threaten War now you've made it okay to actually fire the first shot this is not moral not even safe it en courag is war it does not save lives we've seen it so many times over and over do we not know that Hezbollah is a threat that Lebanon is a threat well they haven't done anything yet you don't live with a threat that's what a sovereign government is it makes life safe for its citizens living under a threat is not safe well they've only fired a few Rockets that's nonsense oh the go ahead sorry the Torah attitude is a threat of war is a declaration of war you don't let that stand cold war is nerve-wracking it's war on your nerves don't tolerate that if you're a sovereign state you don't you don't uh subject your citizens to that kind of to that kind of tension living in peace means living with peace of mind are you suggesting an offensive I can't suggest anything because I don't know the circumstances and what's possible what's not possible they know they don't need advice who is they the idea what said they don't they don't need to be told how to fight a war I think they need to be given a green light it's okay to retaliate to a threat it's the moral thing to [Music] do you don't wait until somebody gets killed before you retaliate that's not called self-defense that's called M survival self-defense means no one in their right mind is going to DARE attack you or even threaten you we live in peace in isra in America because nobody threatens except Iran why do they get away with that they shouldn't why do they get away with it because of this crazy policy of well they haven't shot us yet they haven't killed us yet even though they did get did attack American troops in different places on the globe American embassies well we warned them not to do it again that is so immoral look we all want a a world in which there is zero tolerance or terrorism or war or aggression Zero Tolerance what are we doing to achieve Zero Tolerance advocating more and more tolerance it's not going to get us where we want to be it's it's it's Reckless it's foolish and it's childish not moral but what would have happened we're into what 180 days now more than six months what would have happened if Israel had used a very ancient and very time tested method of throwing a Siege on a city put the city under siege you're worried about the hostages you're worried about tunnels fine cut off the electricity cut off the water in a week it's all over War would have been over in a week because you can't go for a week without water so I think one of the reasons why Israel is capitulating so much is um and everybody yes I shut off the comments so thank you for all your messages um I think one of the reasons why Israel is capitulating so much is because they're under pressure from the United States of cutting off uh funding of cutting off arms of cutting off all of these things how real is that or how not real is that I mean we saw last night that our allies did Step Up of course it was God of course it was Hashem of course it was you know but at the end of the day the Iron Dome is funded by the United States the UK and the Allies in America were there um so I think that Israel is scared that if they do in fact uh not listen that they're they're going to lose that Ally which is as much as we want to say we're Brave and we trust in God and all these things it's a real thing of course it's a real thing but is it to our benefit or to our detriment if your best friends turn out to be killing you I say well we got to stay friends and I'm not so sure America is not going to cut off Aid to Israel it's politically correct for them to say we're going to pressure you we're going to demand they don't expect us to obey like like children a number of times in past administrations where the government said you can't do this you can't do that and then Israel followed their instruction and they were shocked why' you do that by giving back the sign night with the oil field America was shocked are you crazy or you sad we didn't think you'd actually do it give away oil fields that is so insanely suicidal so we got to be a little more uh perceptive but politicians say things for different reasons for different interests and for different ears this statement was meant for them to hear the other statement was meant for those to hear we we can't be victims of this of this world of falsehood I I would say that the biggest problem in the world today is the absolute absence of truth it's not that people lie people have always lied it's not that politicians are dishonest it comes with the territory but there was always a healthy respect for the truth so that if you're lying you don't admit you're lying you try to make it sound like it's the truth nobody bothers anymore every statement you hear is questionable and we all know it how many civilians were killed in Gaza you have no idea because who are you going to trust and it's not that we're suspicious we're not suspicious we're fully aware that no one tells the truth the truth is gone not only in politics in every area of life in everything there is no truth there's no there's no attempt at it there's no respect for it there's no need for it we live in a world of the best lie winds and we're okay with that we're okay with that I can't get over the advertisements on on the radio on television for medications they tell you this is a great medicine it'll make you so much healthier it'll make your life so much easier if it doesn't kill you give you a stroke make you blind and crippled I I how does this work they give you a full minute of s effect some of them pretty seriously and then say so what are you waiting for order now you know if these ads didn't work they wouldn't run them these ads work you tell the people this can kill you but it'll take away your allergy and you go ahead and use it the LIE is more appealing than the truth I I know it's a hard question and maybe you won't be able to answer it but you're somebody that spent so much time by the laab and you absorb so much of his teachings undoubtedly the Reb would be speaking about this subject day and night right now yeah he was a he was he was up to World politics no he was up he was up to morality morality what do you think I'm not going to hold you to it but what do you think his message would be right now in this time to Israel the very often gave military and political advice to the leaders in Israel they came to the Deb for advice beggan when he was prime minister came to the Deb for advice that is not public knowledge as you know it shouldn't be in the 67 War the debba advised that they enter the countries they're fighting with go into Lebanon on go into Egypt otherwise the people won't know they're at War and that encourages Another War but they they didn't follow that advice and there was another War 10 years later so that ever would give literally military advice when one of the things that really surprised me was and you know the some some of this information kind of leaks out after many years obviously many years ago there was a well it was it was General Shon he was the hero of the yipper war in the Sin they never asked him a question that took him by surprise the EBA asked him have you ever determined what is the viscosity of the sand in the Sinai because you have to determine the viscosity to be able to devise treads on a tank that will be most efficient Sheron was like what's viscosity meaning this wasn't spiritual advice it was real practical brass tax advice yeah Cutting Edge youth again I don't want to put words in your mouth and I don't want to lead you in a way that I but you think that he would the rebba would advise to go into Iran oh I don't know what I'm saying is that ebba's public announcements pronouncements was always a matter of morality MH strategy is not meant to to be public I don't understand this Israel announced a date for when they're going to enter RFA what what kind of craziness is this but so did Iran to be fair right Iran announced the date that they're going into that they're sending the drones into Israel and people are saying and people are saying that I never said that they were smarter than [Laughter] us it's a ridiculous thing to do a Seas fire is a ridiculous thing to do letting in trucks hundreds of trucks into enemy territory it's to sidal it is unheard of it is this childish attempt at fighting a nice friendly little war it's absurd it's absolutely senseful another question for you what do you think about um about Israel you know protesting against Netanyahu is that productive unproductive do you think he's doing a good job do you think he's doing a bad job you think he's the right guy for the job not the right guy for the job doesn't matter he's there is the commanderin-chief do you believe that he was appointed by God to be there right now in that position is there anything Godly about that position everything is by divine plan why not this nobody expected him to become Prime Minister again but here he is so the right thing to do is encourage him M demand that he do a good job don't undermine him when he's in charge it's ridiculous no it's it's treason it's ridiculous although I was in Israel a few weeks ago and I was just asking the local taxi drivers and the waiters and the whatever whoever was around and I would say how do you feel about Netanyahu and everybody had the exact same answer from the biggest rabbis to the taxi drivers we don't like him but he's the right guy for the job even if you think he's the wrong guy for the job then help him do his job don't undermine a government while they're at War they want to have elections now that's uh it encourages the enemy and I hate when that happens what do you think about America you know let's call it flip-flopping um what is the what's the root of that because three years ago you would have never have seen this level of flip flip-flopping you know a lot of these political commentators on the right kandace Owens yaka and uh and a lot of these you know political commentators who forever were hard right conservative uh commentators who quite frankly a lot of Orthodox Jews identified with on the right have completely flipped and they're completely anti-israel America first defund the war where is that coming from and what does that mean means people are totally ignorant and it doesn't bother anybody as I was saying before nobody cares about the truth nobody believes in truth anymore one of the very discouraging things when I talk to rabbis and I say Israel shouldn't do this Israel should get up and say it's our land you can't have any of it any of it not an inch it's holy land that belongs to the Jewish people it's a gift from God it's an inheritance Etc so many rabbis say well you believe that and I believe that and we know it's true but nobody is going to be impressed when you say it you mean truth doesn't work anymore there's no point in telling the truth anymore so this is a personal question that I want to ask you because I've read your book which is phenomenal and I suggest everybody watching this right now go pick up um Rabbi Manis freedman's book called how to win a war the Jewish way phenomenal and I followed a lot of what you've been talking about which is just go for the truth um which is we're the chosen people the land of Israel is chosen by God it's given to us doesn't belong to anybody else and the discussion period and I'm getting positivity don't get me wrong but I'm also getting the Jews in the middle um sometimes religious that are saying like calm down like it's not helping right okay and then you have the non-religious Jews that are saying not only you're not helping you're ruining it for the rest of us I got picked up by this thing on Twitter this week I made this video months ago I don't know why it came out now and I said um it was it was Jews are not governed by the by the rules of the rest of the world we are Supernatural people what's the proof is that Israel is a nation of seven or eight million Jews surrounded by hundreds of millions of people who would give their own children to not have the land of Israel exist and yet we're here today it got picked up by this thing called Gentile News Network they shared it the quote was Solomon says Jews are not governed by the rules of the rest of the world it got millions and millions and millions and millions of views and 99.9% of the comments were the most anti-Semitic hateful things in the world and I've felt I've been feeling very insecure about this maybe I'm doing the wrong thing I don't want to make I don't want to you know blashe you God's name I don't want to make a they misunderstood obviously they took it to mean that we don't have to be moral and we don't have to behave ourselves we go by different rules that's not what you meant you meant that we don't live by the laws of nature so they they Twisted it they right they took it the way they wanted to take it because if they would have watched it it was plain as day okay but what you said was right we are we are not one of the reasons that people are anti-semitic is because we don't fit the mold and one of the best proofs people don't don't they don't pay attention do you remember when the thought of moving the embassy to yusim was even suggested remember what the reaction was the whole world went nuts the Jewish world that is so dangerous you're going to start they'll bring chaos into the every the world will rise up there'll be they were they they started preparing body bags what did happen when they moved the when America moved the embassy to yam absolutely nothing absolutely nothing why because everyone in the world knows that the capital of Israel is Jerusalem you have to live under a rock not to know that so when they moved it the the world said yeah yeah I guess makes sense truth is powerful to give up on truth is giving up the ship if you give up on truth you have given up you're going to go the route of Who Lies best wins then you have lost everything even if you lie the best this is not a game Truth is very powerful and the world loves it when you tell the truth they admire it and they back off they do not fight the truth when you give them an opening to kind of take the the the conversation away from the truth Oh They'll jump in they'll take full advantage of that but when you speak truth the world is not insane so why has it been the Jewish custom which seems forever right down to censorship in many H and many Torah works I mean how much censorship is in the rum myones I mean the talmood there's a lot of censorship so it almost seems like censorship and not telling the whole truth to the world and concealing parts of it okay so most of it the vast majority of it the censors were the government sensors not the Jewish sensor ansers M some is is hard to hear and there's no need to provoke so if it's not a necessary piece of information be polite and don't provoke people right if somebody's ugly you don't have to call them ugly even if it's the truth right uhhuh interesting but when it comes to policy that is life death issues to lie is to destroy the world because you lie they lie better so you have to up your lie and the truth disappears that's what happened we live in a world that is completely false and nobody objects when's the last time you heard a complaint about truth and advertisement was it back in the 60s truth in advertisement nah not going to happen so if it says 100% root juice no it's not 100% you know that nobody even believes it no guaranteed to cure you within two days no you know it's not true discounted 50% you know it's not true nothing you hear in the advertisement world is true nothing you hear in religion is true it doesn't have to be nobody cares I was talking online with a a Christian very a very devout Christian he put up as his uh what is it called his wallpaper yeah he has a picture of the mother of of of Y and we're talking and he said something about when know the truth I said look when when you stop lying then we can talk about the truth he says are you calling Christianity a lie I said you really expect me to believe that this picture is an accurate picture of his mother first of all you have no idea what his mother looked like you have no idea what he looked like and yet you put up statues of him and pictures of him and people end up saying last night in my dream I saw him how didn't you know you saw him oh he looked like his picture what picture I guarantee you he was not tall and fit and blonde he was a Jew from the Middle East he was short fat and [Laughter] bald and if that's you know if he was God then God is short fat and Bal I mean you're treading on you know this is treading on dangerous territory right why why is that okay why is what okay presenting a picture of someone you never saw and you have no idea what he looks like why can't we just let them be what they want to do no no no I'm talking about advertisement not religion how how does a religion that pursues truth that speaks in the name of God create false images MH I mean we have the picture of my Mones lail no because of the statue there's a statue of my Mones in Spain and this is what the people at the time said he looked like so it's the closest we can get to something with some historical reality to it I just guess I'm having a hard time gauging the Christians these days it's not it's not whether it's chrans or Muslims or right where is truth not in politics not in business not an advertisement not in Hollywood and not in religion then where where can you trust what you read nowhere everything's a joke oh it works it works so what if it's not true this is the mentality of the world today you can't do that you cannot do that people need to know the truth there is a truth Gene in us that demands the truth and you can deny it and and and bury it for a while but it can't go on like this I guess I'm not as allergic to nontruth as you are because as I'm think as you're saying right now this will be played on YouTube after right and I would assume that a really large percentage of your viewership is Christian so you're not scared of losing followers I think people people appreciate the truth I I I believe in people I guess more than more than I should I think people hear the truth and they may at first recoil because they're not used to it but after a little bit of thought they appreciate it what would be wrong with people coming to to the church and saying stop giving us false images you don't know what he looked like why do you make pictures of him what will that destroy the religion if you stop making pictures and by the way did he have a black beard or or a blonde beard so confused it's it's wrong it's wrong to make look like he's Scandinavian why cuz that's appealing so if something untrue is appealing it becomes okay even for a religion be considerate if you really expect a second coming don't get people's impression that there's that some guy is going to come that looks like an actor a Hollywood actor from from Sweden don't do that you imagine people say oh this can't be him he's short this can't be him he's fat what are you doing to yourself by the way just for fun in the comments blessed be thou which is probably not a Jewish guy wrote he has a [Laughter] point let me ask you I I know that we're limited on time here back to Iran what happened what happened in Israel is that a good thing or is it a bad thing how do we how do how do we categorize that in our Jewish psyche I can hope that at some point we will reach a degree of of insanity that will just force us to grow up what will it take to sober us up and stop following the Geneva conference and start following the Torah and God not because God is more important you don't have to be God to be more important than the Geneva conference it's a bad idea it doesn't work anywhere it is not moral to sacrifice your soldiers in the protection of their civilians how is that a moral decision and if you want to be critical of Israel don't say don't say it's genocide don't be ridiculous the only correct criticism is why when you can end the war in two weeks is it going on for 6 months why there's no good answer because the Geneva conference because killing slowly sounds more moral than doing it quickly it's not it's the opposite a surgeon who has to make an incision but he wants to be gentle about it so he does it very slow see how nice he is it's it it's not kind it is not moral and it's not healthy so can we just grow up I think that the Arab world and particularly the ter terrorists they have such a good laugh at our expense look at what we did look at what we did October 7th and look at how they're afraid to retaliate they're such weaklings they have no conviction we know what we're doing and we do it they have no idea what they're doing even when you Massacre their babies they don't know how to react are we killing too many is this too long is this too much it's so embarrassing they are dictating terms for returning the hostages they're dictating terms they are the kidnappers and they're in charge how abs can this life become for the first two weeks everyone agreed that Israel should retaliate no one expected it to take more than two weeks so now people are upset because 30,000 Palestinians were killed I am absolutely certain if 30,000 pales Ians were killed within the first two weeks everyone would think it's okay M why is this crazy policy being followed yeah they took crazy they took like four weeks or six weeks or something to go in no ground why why did they do that and why did they go in on the ground they didn't need to going in on ground building to building cost them 500 soldiers there was no need for that you have an Air Force use it no Israeli soldier should walk into a booby trap building or tunnel why why why is Jewish life so cheap you don't send your soldiers into a booby trapped house well the only criticism of Israel is they do everything right but way too slow why public opinion Geneva conference we're being very careful not to harm a civilian it's an absurd idea is it because we want the world to like us we are desperate you know you said before that some things we say might cause anti-Semitism that's like an abused wife who is afraid to speak up because then her husband will hate her oh then he'll hate you will this increase anti-Semitism you think the anti-semites are waiting for a good excuse there's only one possible outcome if you're telling the truth and that is you gain respect if you don't believe that then then you shouldn't be part of any conversation you shouldn't have any opinion and you should certainly not give any advice if you don't believe in the truth then stay home and be quiet don't add to the noise so how should Israel respond you ask the military and you do what the military says that's just realistic if you play politics with lives you're not being moral ever never you believe that the Israeli military has different opinions than Israeli politicians mean you don't think that this psychology has seeped into let's call it a liberal psychology for lack of a better word okay you don't think that's liberal you don't think that right but if you ask the military militarily speaking would you rather rather go into the building that's booby trapped or would you rather blow it up what's the question right oh for public opinion it's better to go in soldiers don't go by public opinion right soldiers do what soldiers do so does anyone have to tell Israel how to retaliate no but don't handcuff handcuff them or handicap them so the moral thing which is what we started out discussing the Jewish attitude the Torah attitude is if you have to fight a war fight it quickly to a decisive Victory it's funny Trump said that I don't know if you saw that clip not saying he's the most moral guy in the world but he had a clip talking to the Israelis did you see the clip and he said they said do you support this war he said you guys lost all of your public opinion you guys got to get in you guys got to get out and finish up this war and get back to life I heard a clip of Nixon saying it he was he was an intelligent guy what the what the media made of him is not correct but the point of it is you have to do two things you have to end it quickly and you have to end it decisively there should be no question as to who lost the war so here's the rule if you can bring peace and peace means they're not going to attack you again for at least 40 years that's the definition of Peace but I just read somebody said Israel should now allow the Palestinians to come back into Gaza if they promise to to not attack with a guarantee or or promise not to if they pinky swear yeah if they agree if they promise who what what what fantasy do you think we're living in so it has to be decisive it's not they promise it's they are incapable of ever shooting another rocket out of Gaza that's a victory that's peace how do you get there the answer is as quickly as possible so the announcement right at the beginning what was it October 8th Israel announced this is going to be a long War I remember first of all what kind of statement is that why do you say that to your enemy it it's so say no we're going to wipe you out by tomorrow even if you can't you say it you don't say oh this is going to take a long time no we can't afford to take a long time the entire economy is going to fall apart children are going to grow up knowing only War what are you doing you can't allow it to take more than a month maximum so that kids will say oh there was a bad month back there but not that life is made of War so it has to be fast and it has to be convincing otherwise you have just wasted all the lives that you lost imagine if Israel said okay we're done because we killed 30,000 and that's way too much so what you have effectively done is you now killed 30,000 for nothing because you have no peace and your soldiers died for nothing cuz we have no peace so those are the two requirements quickly decisively every Soldier knows what that means so do we know how to do it of course we know how to do it we have an army but when you politicize War it's like weaponizing politics what they all have in common is they're all false they're all false when a nation comes to kill you there are no civilians it's a nation soldiers don't come out of nowhere they're not mushrooms that spring up in the rain a nation provides soldiers a nation provides a cause for which the soldiers are fighting so the whole notion of civilians is Twisted a civilian means a person who surrenders to you that's a civilian and you don't kill someone who surrenders that's moral it's sensible it's doable I I read that in your book yeah but I mean practically speaking you know 1.5 million you know um people living in Gaza raise White flags and then what then you don't kill them and they hand over Hama like like what does that practically look like and this is not my problem right those who are civilians have to figure out away right you did write that in your book also yes yes yes yes yes yes yes but today the way it is civilian is is is is a ghost there is this myth called C Ian nobody knows who the civilian is right you're talking you're talking fairy tales right only way that a person is a civilian is if he identifies himself as a civilian walking around in civilian clothes does not make you a civilian and the soldier the Israeli soldier is not obligated under a hail of fire to determine who is a civilian and who is not it's crazy crazy I think that it comes down to Israel is being forced to fight a war according to Western values against nobody does right Nobody Does it right right against the country country that is has no Western values or against a people that has no Western values yeah it's true even the Americans you think when they go into Iraq they they were following the conventions it just how many civilians were killed in Afghanistan you know I saw I saw a video from the reer that he said you know the uh the Christians have a saying to turn the other cheek yeah and he said the Jew is the only person that's expected to turn the other cheek when he gets smacked he has to turn the other cheek everybody else doesn't only the Jew is expected to and I think we did it to ourselves we announced to the world that we will live by those rules that no one else lives by right we painted ourselves into that corner because it is true that when two Arab countries go to war nobody takes hostages unheard of and they don't use humans as Shields because it it won't help them but they don't we complain they're using civilians as H as Shields you advise them to do that by promising them that you won't shoot a civilian you're encouraging this misbehavior so interesting Rabbi it's late there for you I know if you want to give a what would your closing thoughts be closing thought is the Torah is the truth was the truth and will be the truth and all M man-made morality always turns out to be immoral we've learned this lesson so clearly so vividly and we still don't have the courage to say the emperor is naked the world has no moral plan no moral Vision no moral definition why are we afraid to say this when the whole world says we're so confused and we're we're afraid to say yeah you're confused but you don't need to be confused because we can teach you if you would just listen and everyone would benefit so we're coming to the to the holiday of of Pak where we were taken out of Egypt which means we were liberated to be ourselves in Egypt we were not ourselves coming out of Egypt means now you can be yourself not now you can be lazy and not have to work now you can be yourself and do the job you were designed to do not go off into a desert and meditate and drink Kool-Aid Go off into the desert meet God at Mount Si find out what you're designed to do and then go do it so I hope that this year Passover we all experience a true Exodus a true Liberation from that
