Berel Solomon's State of The Union.

i consider you the viewer as an investor in me and my company you've been with me since the beginning you follow my journey you watch my videos you're watching this right now thank you so much for that and i wanted to give you a little bit of a barrel solomon and wealthy commercials state of the union to let you know where the company is and where we are going so kovit hit and it obviously threw everything completely upside down i suppose the same happened for a lot of you and your businesses i mean the rules just went out the door and we packed up our office when kovid started to protect our employees and everybody went home my lease expired april 1st for my office and when kovid started to subside which you know in the past month or so it's gotten a lot more relaxed and lenient i called everybody up and i said hey do you guys want to go back to an office and every single one of them told me you know what barrel i'm happier at home i'm more productive i'm getting more done i don't have to waste time in traffic and i'm actually enjoying working from home so i found myself in a difficult position i like working from an office or at least i thought that i did and here nobody in my company wants to work uh wants to work in office anymore everybody's enjoying working remotely so i rolled with the punches and i gave up the office which in a certain way is for me upsetting because i like i said i enjoy working from an office but it's been great i've been saving you know the three four thousand dollars a month in the rent for the office fine so now i've been working from home and everybody's working remotely i have a business that is able to you know thank god we're able to do that a lot of our shooters you know our videographers are in the states anyways and they're roaming around the united states capturing footage my sales guys when covid started they called me up and they said hey listen we understand that the next few months is going to be rough and what we're proposing to you is we want to go on 100 commission raise our commission structure and decrease our salary so my commission my sales guys i have a lot of respect for because they're actually now thank god making more money now with a higher commission and no base salary than they were before with a base salary and a smaller commission so when cobit hit we were completely obliterated in terms of in terms of our video business but since then you know i'd say in the past two months thank god it has just skyrocketed because we figured out really great innovative products for companies to use um to to utilize video to build their business i also think that people understand today the power of video and understand that it is an integral part of their marketing strategy you know you can't go to trade shows today you can't go too so one of the advantages of working from home is your kids are around you can't go to trade shows you can't go to meetings so how you're gonna do it you do it ultimately through video so i've been working from home managing everybody remotely which i'm actually kind of getting the hang of i actually have to admit i like working from home i am going to get an office even if it's just for myself sooner than sooner or later because i think that it's just you know the natural progression of things but for now it's been great so you probably have also seen through um you know through my journey here that i've pivoted we're doing video in full force thank god video business is rocking but i also launched a sales training portion of the business where i am able to teach and train and motivate sales people to do what i have learned to do best which is this thing called sales and that thing is just morphing and morphing and morphing and growing every single day and i can't wait to see where the future is going to go with it you know thank god i generated a ton of revenue from selling online courses in terms of sales now i'm venturing into the vp of sales a virtual vp of sales for companies i'm gonna talk about that you're gonna see videos coming out about that a little bit later but it's been great because on a certain sense my expenses have come down which has been phenomenal i could actually sleep at night our revenue is probably half of what it was for before kovid but we're probably five times as profitable because our expenses have come down now i want to get my revenue up to where it was before covid so if you do the math if i get my revenue to where it was before covet i'll be 10 times as profitable as pre covid kovid taught me how to operate a business lean how to operate the business intelligently but it also gave me an opportunity and gave me time to explore other parts of myself that i didn't even know existed right so i always had this sales trainer you know part of me inside but i never had the opportunity to take advantage of that because i was busy managing an office filled with 20 people you know if you're the owner of a company you could probably um you could probably sympathize with this when you walk into an office let's say at nine o'clock in the morning and people are there before you the second you get in people pounce on you and it takes all of your energy dealing with everybody else's problems and you don't get to you know explore your own possibilities and you don't get to work on your own projects so that's been something that's been really great that i've had a chance to focus on is other talents and skills that i have and utilize those and now start selling other products and services that i never would have had a chance to sell before all in all things are great thank god i have you know tough days like everybody else don't get me wrong it's not all peachy keen but on the whole it's been really really good i felt that i deserve that you guys deserve this you know uh uh state of the union address because i do like i said in the beginning of this video i do consider you an investor i do consider you somebody that has come along for the ride and i just want to thank you for that and let you know that i am rooting for
