you are about to step into the barrel
Solomon podcast show no fluff talking
about greatness talking about wealth
talking about house becomes the number
one good Monday morning LinkedIn this is
Beryl Solomon on the barrel Solomon
podcast show thank you so much for
joining I'm gonna get to some questions
that I got last week when I put out a
little a little teaser out there that I
gave away a 10-minute phone call to one
of you very special people that listen
to me and follow me and I didn't get a
chance to answer all the incredible
questions on here so I'm gonna do my
best to get through a whole bunch of
these questions hang in there I hope
you're enjoying your drive to work I
hope you're enjoying your workout hope
you're getting pumped and psyched for
the week cuz I know that I am so here we
go David Potts asks he says would you
rather hit a home run as a scheduled
sales meeting or land a sweet deal
unexpectedly in a pleasing setting and
how would that how would you navigate
salesmanship in a casual non business
atmosphere so great question David would
I rather get a scheduled planned meeting
and close that deal or would I rather
have one fall into my lap I'd say I
would love both here's what I like about
both I love having a process in place I
love having a way to get business on a
consistent basis I hate randomness one
thing that drives me nuts when I talk to
people and I say hey how do you get
business and they say well it's 90
percent word-of-mouth that scares the
living heck outta me because you cannot
predict when your next phone call is
gonna come into your office you can't
predict your next emails coming to your
office I love having a power technique a
power train that every single day we're
cranking and banging on the phones we're
cranking on LinkedIn we're cranking all
day and we're actually in control of the
leads that are coming in because we're
generating them
and then we are then closing them again
with God's help
so that's answer that I love closing
those type of deals because it's
scalable it's repeatable it's consistent
and it gives me peace of mind and allows
me to sleep and to go to sleep at night
knowing that everything is there's a
tomorrow and I could trust that the
future will be friendly but that being
said some of the biggest deals that I
have gone Tinh were things that
literally fell into my lap the phone
rang hey I saw you online I saw an
advertisement or hey I saw one of my
buddies did something with you or I saw
one of your videos online and your
company commercials online and I want to
do one and boom it's a huge deal it's
sweet it takes virtually no closing
skills no selling what so ever
they're already sold by the time to come
to me again problem with that is it's
not repeatable and it's not predictable
I hope that answers your question David
you know ease you know Weiss asks what
advice do you have for closing deals
without being able to have a
face-to-face meeting strictly phone
email text I know your preferred method
is face to face but what if that is not
an option great question Jana thank you
for it so obviously I'm in the video
production business we work pregnant
primarily with b2b companies primarily
with salesmen in those industries for
exactly this reason I believe that today
video is the number one most powerful
and effective communication tool out
there even sometimes by the way better
than a phone call even sometimes better
than face-to-face because that person
could watch you in the comfort of their
own home and they could literally just
relax and breathe and they could watch
it as many times as they want I'm a big
advocate one of the things we do what
wealthy commercial is is we create what
we like to call standard standardizing
your sales process videos so if you have
super talented salespeople at the
company or the owner at the company
that's been doing this for 20 years and
could sell with literally his eyes
closed it's very hard for a junior to
come into the business and then start
selling especially if it's a complicated
product so we create these sales videos
which are very entertaining very visual
very explanatory and the most junior guy
within the company can send those videos
to his prospects
and he could actually get the effect of
having the number one closure of the
company right there in the meeting in
the room with him sweet stuff I love it
cool Bill Lee grease barrel Solomon what
is your view on leadership and how to
build a strong sales team so great
question bill actually I have not been a
good person to ask this question to how
to build strong sales teams one of my
blessings one of my curses is that I am
such a good salesman that it's very hard
for me to get out of the way and let
somebody else sell I had a mentor a few
months ago that took me out for lunch
and explained to me how I could still be
the Alpha salesman and the Alpha sales
closer and still trained somebody in the
meantime so this is how he taught me
bring somebody with you to every single
meeting that you go to have this junior
book every single meeting that you go to
have him sit with you on every call read
every email send out all their proposals
and have the kid or have the guy just
roll with you for the next few months
and you're gonna see that he's gonna
pick up on what you're doing you could
still be the Alpha guy and yet be
training him by osmosis and what you're
gonna do is and within a few months you
be able to turn around and see how the
salesmen I just started training a
Salesman two and a half months ago the
guy today is a killer because he sees
all of my techniques when he talks he
says exactly what I do in the meetings
he says exactly what I do in the
follow-up he knows how to roll and that
is how I have been able to build a sales
team I just took on a new guy so now
we're three people in the sales and I'm
just gonna keep on multiplying myself I
wanna have 50 salesmen in this company
with God's help that's the plan it's to
really build it super robust cool thank
you so much for that question you are
the man all right Vladimir Romanov how
you doing how do you come up with your
own business plan for wealthy
commercials and what kind of advice
would you give to someone who wants to
do the same very interested in the
process of how you ended up with that
idea and how you planned your vision etc
Vladimir thank for the question so here
it went it was do or die for me I had no
choice I had to start my own business I
have three children I have a wife two
cars a mortgage everything all the
pressure that you can imagine and I had
to start as
so here is how I did it I took a pen and
a piece of paper yes people still use
those these days and I sat down and I
wrote every single possibility of a
business venture that I thought would be
interesting and profitable everything
from selling airplanes to selling meat
to selling life insurance to opening up
my own line of of laundry of laundromats
I mean everything you could imagine and
video production was one of those things
on that list
I'd say the list was probably about 20
things video production was the lowest
barrier to entry with the highest amount
of profit and with my highest amount of
interest as well so it had like the
magic three formula again highest amount
of lowest barrier to entry highest
amount to profit and highest interest
level and really from there I just know
my gut knew that it was something that
was gonna work so the truth is I don't
have a business plan
but I got a business I know so many
people have business plans without a
business I'd rather have a business
without a plan
now we strategize how to grow how to
take it to the next level but wasn't too
overly you know crazy about building a
business plan what are they doing
projections for the next four years
ultimately the market will decide where
my business will go and my hustle will
determine how big and how fast it's
going to get there thank you for the
question appreciate it
alright who is next
Kenny Mendel and I think this is the
time this is the the last question that
I could answer due to the time
constraints what inspires you to succeed
every day and thirty years from now
looking into your crystal ball how will
you inspire others in the sales industry
following in your footsteps oh can you
thing for the question what inspires me
to succeed every day is first of all I
have absolutely no choice again that's
like a big big big thing I once heard a
credible story about it's a true story
but a general he lands on the shores of
an island that they're going to war with
and when is all of his all of his
soldiers leave the battleships he turns
around the general turns around and he
lights all of the wooden ships on fire
and they all are yelling at the general
why did you do that that's our only way
to retreat and he said exactly you have
no choice but to win
so really what motivates me is I got no
choice I really don't I put a lot of
pressure on myself I really I really
have to win I have no choice but to so I
think the better question is is what
inspires me not to succeed everyday but
to over succeed right because I can make
a hundred grand a year and sort of live
it and be okay and and have no real
problems at a hundred grand here but I
don't believe Rexie Dan overshoot
because I want to be first of all I want
to be able to be influential God is
something that's very very important to
me in my life and I believe that the
world listens to wealthy people and I
believe that if I'm wealthy people will
take me seriously when I talk about God
that's a very very very big motivation
for me I want to be wealthy I want to be
influential that way I could spread gone
in the world and people are like damn
this guy's rich he must know something
if he's talking about God maybe there's
something to that g.od so that's the
story hope you guys liked it hope you
have a sweet sweet Monday I want to hear
from you guys let me know how it's going
thank you to all the contributors you
guys Rock love you guys
