One of the most ridiculous things in
business today, and nobody can change my
mind about this, is commissiononly
salespeople. What a ridiculous idea.
What a selfish idea from the perspective
of the employer. Let's say a person
lives in an absolute
not nice place. He's paying $1,000 a
month. Now, he has to eat. He's paying
$1,000 a month. He has to have life
insurance. He has to get to work. He has
to drive a car. He needs internet. He
needs all these things. A person needs a
minimum. And this is a single person
needs $3,000 a month just to live, just
to survive. And to say to that person
that you have to be commission only. How
are they supposed to live for 2 or 3
months? They're literally supposed to
starve and sleep on the street and then
come in and perform and do a good job at
the office Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Like, how does that even work? In order
for a salesperson to be successful, they
need to have a base salary. Something
that ties them over, something that
actually makes sure that they can live,
that they could survive. I have all
these people reaching out to me. Could
you find me commission sales people? No,
I cannot and I will not. I'm against it.
I think that it's something that is it's
immoral. It's not even respectful to the
people that are working for you. Why
should they starve while you eat? Pay
your people. Pay your salespeople
properly and you're going to get quality
salespeople. Don't try to go cheap and
expect everybody else to starve.
Otherwise, let them just open up their
own business. Why should they work for
you anyways?
