conference called the NIC conference it
has focused around nursing homes let me
tell you why that's relevant to you if
you've been watching my journey you saw
us do the entire tradeshow event a
couple weeks ago we film booths for free
has sold it to them after although it
was a nightmare to begin with we turned
it around and made it a good situation
but I still but I still lost $25,000 on
that experience am I upset about it not
for a second let me tell you why I
thought the best education of my life
it cost me 25 grand to figure out that
business now that we know how to do that
business properly and how to do it in a
way where we're not gonna lose money on
the next time where we could do it
efficiently
we could do it intelligently we could do
a profitably the 25 grand was worth it
people spend hundreds of thousands of
dollars in debt to go to university it
cost me 25 grand friend education
knowing what I know now I would have
done that business and I would have done
that trial much much much differently
but the only way that I'm able to know
that is after going through it what if
what I think I'm trying to say is fail
forward do not be afraid of failure why
am I here at the Nick because this is
our nursing home business there's a try
test and improving so I know that we're
gonna make money here so I have a little
bit of a balance between trying new
things trying new markets trying new
concepts but at the same time the very
next week I'm at our tried tested and
proved in business model a lot of
entrepreneurs a lot of salespeople want
the new next shiny thing and they forget
about their main core business so as
you're trying these new things do not
forget about the core business as well
because that is what pays the bills day
in and day out do not be afraid to fail
fail often fail quickly do not stay in
the failure zone fail quickly pick
yourself up and move forward I hope this
