I talk a lot about building your own business, and how to be an entrepreneur, because THAT is where my experience is based. But building your own company is not the only way to find enormous success in business! Today, one of our key account managers here at Wealthy Commercials Inc, ELIAS, joins me on the show to talk about his experience as an INtrapreneur. An INtrapreneur is someone who works within the business that has an entrepreneurial mindset and an entrepreneurial role. Let's roll!

you are about to step into the barrel
Solomon podcast show no fluff talking
about greatness talking about wealth
talking about how to become the number
one man or woman in your space let's
roll for real to homie Solomon nobody
was follow when the end by falling for
real Jewish businessman welcome welcome
to the barrel Solomon show how you doing
we have a very special guest with us
today are you ready for Elias Elias is a
Key Account Manager here at wealthy
commercials I hired Elias how long would
you say Elias ago that's about seven
months at this point about seven months
and and Elias was my first salesman that
made it past 30 days at wealthy
commercials I had blown through five
before that there are all good people
but it just wasn't a fit and we have
done really great things together and
he's been awesome for me in this company
for the for our clients we have been
able to grow this company I'd say about
four hundred percent since last year and
I think a lot of it is directly related
to your efforts and and before Elias
came along I was doing all the sales
myself I mean everything from
prospecting to calling to following up
to sending out follow-up emails to Kahn
sending out contracts proposals I mean
you name it I was doing it and it was
very very stressful and I couldn't
really focus that much on on building
the business because I was really
working in the business but today what
we would like to discuss is how to be an
entrepreneur entrepreneur for those of
you who don't understand who don't who
are not familiar with that word it means
entrepreneur means that you're the one
who started the business who went out
and
and did it from scratch an entrepreneur
is somebody that works within the
business but has an entrepreneurial
mindset and an entrepreneurial rule to
help the business grow and I feel that
Elias is a great example of this which
is why we decided to do the show you
know there's not so many owners out
there but there's a lot of people out
there who could be doing the
intrapreneur thing and I want to let
Elias take it away and talk about being
an entrepreneur in today's 21st century
so thank you for giving us salesmen the
chance to shine today and speak about
what we do so I'm gonna speak about how
to be an entrepreneur and you know how
to get yourself in the position to
actually you know do the things that
entrepreneurs do so first point here is
pick the right companies so what I
actually see is a lot of people telling
me what the Commission Commission
structure is like you know they telling
me they have quotas and that you know
they have to hit these quotas and if
they don't they don't make any
commission and they can be selling you
know 30 40 thousand dollars per month
with the Commission but their quota is
fifty thousand and they don't get
anything and what's even worse is that
every single month it seems that their
quotas go up or even sometimes in the
middle of a quarter they'll say well we
have to bump up the numbers and they
miss their bonus this is not a good way
you know there's not a type of company
you want to be in because you want to
get paid on every single sale you do so
compromise on the high salary take a
lower salary and take the higher
Commission that's the best route to go
sweetie speak that point also sure by
the way look at the main camera all
right okay cool not the Instagram even
though Facebook and Instagram we love
you but that goes on YouTube after you
mentioned something very good Elias
which is by the way Elias wrote this
whole thing no coaching all him pick the
right company it's very important to
pick the right vehicle for the business
that you are going to be in by the way
please ask your questions on Instagram
and Facebook please leave your comments
your questions in the comments we will
not leave today without answering all of
your beautiful questions you have to
pick the right vehicle right I see so
many people out there taking these sales
jobs we're the only get Commission like
I think that's ridiculous I think that
people need a base salary in order to
live for the first couple months while
they're building up their portfolio
while they're building up their
customer base 2 is you got to be working
for a company that you're not just a
number at I see so many of these you
know giant sales organizations where you
can never really move up and move
forward and and another point is you
know you have like sales positions like
listen I'm gonna create some haters here
I'm gonna say it anyways like people who
do sales for ACN I think that's great
but I think it's a good learning
experience maybe when you're like 20
years old but you cannot work for ACN
for the rest of your life ACN is like
what loyalty levels of quality level
marketing like pyramid type of marketing
you know that's that's not a real job
I'm just throwing it out there our bond
I think you guys are great I think you
guys are you know work hard and
everything but that's not the type of
vehicle that we're talking about we're
talking about a vehicle that a person
could be making him or herself a quarter
million to half a million dollars a year
year in year out and really build a
career and not just a job with the right
vehicle at the right company so I just
want to mention that our bond people ACA
people I love you but it's not a
full-time job actually if you had a real
job in a big company you'd meet a lot of
people and be able to bring those people
into your fold so yeah I agree with you
100% ACN multi-level marketing yeah
that's not a I don't think our bond how
do you feel it our bond
I actually know I actually knew somebody
very well that worked at our bond she
was part of his networking group she was
making so much money yeah like our bond
gives you like a Mercedes a white
Mercedes when you reach like a certain
amount to say oh that's what she got
actually she gotta wait Mercedes yeah
okay Mercedes a 7ex a month I'm much
happier to pay you the I'd rather get
you the Mercedes and give you a
commission checks if that's what you
want yeah that that would be good I
don't accept what it's a pyramid scheme
yeah yeah okay so a second point here is
pick an innovative leader an innovative
company a company that's constantly
changing the game because this gives you
the the position you just want to
execute as a salesperson if you have
somebody who's thinking about new ways
to make money and to go into new
industries and all you really have to do
is do what you're good at which is
execute make sales get in front of
people this is
you can make a lot of money and and this
actually this actually picks also my but
this actually also addresses my third
point pick your strengths so a company a
position that you know you get to do
what you're amazing at every single day
I know that I suck at paperwork I used
to work in insurance and I thought it
was a big sales job
I found out 80% of it is administration
I had paper pay I didn't even want to
make sales anymore because I knew had to
be doing paperwork for a few hours so
pick a company that offers you you know
innovative an innovative leader a good
R&D department whatever it is and a job
that you know really you get to use your
strengths every single day and something
that stays away from what's your weekend
something that you're not good at
totally agree with you what you know you
mentioned one thing that's very very
powerful is you get to focus on your
strengths when I was working in my
family business I was able to just focus
on sales for eight hours a day and that
was an incredible thing I didn't have to
worry about accounting I didn't have to
worry about paperwork I didn't have to
worry about paying bills I didn't have
to worry about insurance about Hydro
about about anything I only had to focus
on one thing one thing only and that was
sales and I was able to make a ton of
money because I had no other stresses
when when when business I didn't have to
worry about liability I didn't have to
worry about anything so there's a
certain peace of mind that comes when
you start your own but a lot of people
think oh I'm gonna become rich by
starting my own business no you're going
to become miserable and most of you're
gonna become poor okay cuz it's really
really hard and I didn't just open up
wealthy commercials one day and became
some business guru I have 15 years
experience behind me which allowed me to
do it
I cannot stand I cannot it makes me sick
to see 20 year old kids going out and
becoming entrepreneurs and starting an
app you have no idea what you're doing
kid alright you just don't you got to go
learn and focus on your strengths and
know what you're good at and the answer
isn't always starting your own business
the answer is finding whatever it is
your strengths your strong at focusing
on that building that and honing in on
that
so that you could then turn that
strength into a very strong livelihood
absolutely ask your questions guys ask
your questions kind of ask you for money
donation for surrogacy sure we'll send
you money thank you Karen Gordon what is
the most much a moose ask live video is
interrupted it happened yesterday also
ok backbone excuse me what is the most
promising new tech platinum platform for
advertiser mush a must thank you for
asking
my favorite guys ask your questions in
the comments Instagram Facebook we will
not leave without answering your
wonderful question and if your question
sucks we're not gonna answer it the most
promising new tech platform for
advertisers is 100% hands down drum roll
please LinkedIn you know why because
LinkedIn has been in the shadows for 10
years and they have only introduced this
year video to the platform could you
imagine a social media platform without
video it's ridiculous and three months
ago they allowed you to start paying for
your ads to start going out it cost
about $0.50 per view on LinkedIn and a
lot of you are saying that there are a
lot of you penny pinchers and a lot of
people have no idea what you're talking
about we'll say oh my gosh that's so
expensive 50 cents per view you got no
idea what you're talking about brother
you know why imagine you were able to
line up every CEO in Manhattan on Fifth
Avenue that owns a company more than 200
people and you put 10,000 CEOs on a line
in a block and as every single one of
them walked by you're able to hand them
a personalized brochure exactly what
your company does what is that worth to
you do you think it's worth 50 cents per
brochure that you give out the answers
yes LinkedIn is under market undervalued
it is the place to be the place to spend
your time place to spend your money
thank you for the question what some
motion mousse gret a great great
question ask your questions ladies and
gentlemen go ahead so so now we we pick
the company you work in a good place to
have a good Commission structure you
know you like what you're doing you're
ready to go second thing activity equals
money so obviously if you're talking to
one person and you're hoping that you
know you get that email back from that
one guy you're not gonna you're not
going
do anything that that email might never
come and you can't wish upon that start
on that one client you got to speak to a
hundred people to get one person that's
gonna buy so activity equals money daily
follow-ups so you know I have a list of
about you know twenty thirty hot leads
these people get talked to that you know
like I call them I text message them I
email them on a daily basis until I get
a response to them until they tell me no
I don't want it or yes let's let's get
on a call and a lot of times these
people are busy so you need to contact
them many times before they're ready to
say yeah let's talk on Tuesday so that
that really is whether you can't just
assume that they don't want to talk to
you it might just be busy so every
single day there's no there's really
innovative tools out there by the way in
terms of following up we as a program
for Gmail called boomerang very very
powerful tool it's an add-on it cost
fifteen bucks a month you could send
someone an email and click boomerang and
ask if you don't get a response back it
will remind you so let's say you set
your reminder boomerang and tell and you
say if I don't hear back in 24 hours
please tell me that I didn't hear back
and that way your email is already
recycling the leads for you by the way
you you went very quick over activity
equals money a typical day for us at
wealthy commercials is every hour on the
hour we have a meeting sometimes it's
every 30 minutes on every 30 minutes
back to back to back where I literally
don't have time to go to the bathroom
and I have to sneak out of one of our
meetings in order to go to the bathroom
because we're so jam-packed that is
because we are a good team elyes make
sure that everything that's backed up
all the meetings are planned and I just
have to come in on the meetings and and
and and sort of design the package for
them and hopefully close it
LD as close as well but our general
structure is he sets it up I knock him
out sort of like t-ball remember you put
he puts the tee he puts the ball on the
tee and then I come and I cracked out of
the park but you in order to be very
efficient you
it's one guy putting the volunteer next
guy cracking out of the park there's
growth here by the way a wealthy
commercials it's not like that's gonna
be forever back to what we said pick the
right company eventually Elias will move
up where he's having the guy that's put
in the tee the ball on the tee for him
and all he has to do is come in and
crack it out of the park he will
eventually grow and eventually I want to
have God willing 50 salesmen to work for
me working for this company one in every
state of America all right because we
want those you as dollars no you do no
Canadian dollars Trudeau screwed that up
already we want American dollars okay I
hate Trudeau back what a pansy he sucks
really true it really sucks
he's like an Instagram star yeah the guy
what's his name
yeah but I'm not trying to be the
presidency I'm not trying to be the
Prime Minister of Canada what's his name
what's his name you know who really
sucks
who was really good Harper that guy ran
the country everything was flying if he
was going great
whatever Trudeau you suck at watching
this you sucked okay so yeah that's it
so so keep on ask your questions please
Instagram Facebook what are your
questions so if you wanna swim go ahead
so other the different methods of
getting leads so really one of the best
one of the main reasons why I decided to
work with girls because he was the first
person to ever tell me that he had you
know several different mediums of
getting leads the main would being
LinkedIn and I found this something
innovative so nobody's just you know
giving you a list with a bunch of phone
numbers that a thousand people already
called I knew that my my leads were hot
I knew that if I had a thousand phone
numbers you know I know that they were
all hot I would call all a thousand I
knew would work well so different
methods of getting leads that's also
something that's very important George's
don't just do cold calls it's not going
to work you need to you know again to
the 21st century yeah
don't coke we don't call it call you
yeah the way that's one of the things
that we have
a company policy we will never call call
we do not pick up the phone and we do
not call people and asked you know for
the Secretary to refer us to the right
person within the company the closest
thing to call it's calling that will do
is let's say we did an industry where we
have 10 15 20 clients in that industry
the closest thing to a quality call is
will go to the direct competitors and
say hey we just did this for your
competitor you better jump on the
bandwagon these were the results you
better jump on but that's not cool
that's usually also hot
we will never pick up yellow pages we
will never go on just a regular you know
database for names and numbers and call
our time is way too precious we generate
hot warm leads first of all for getting
ourselves out there on LinkedIn on
Instagram on Facebook on YouTube on
Twitter on Spotify on iTunes on on
Twitter anything anything where you are
is a Twitter grace what is it it's not
Twitter what is it called stitcher we're
on Twitter too as soon as the inventor
we're gonna be on it all right we bring
we bring our message to the world and
you got to be working for a company that
is helping you get leads it's hard it's
easy to sell Nike shoes because it's a
brand you could go into any any and any
any shoe store on planet earth and offer
them Nike shoes and they're gonna take
it because they know Nike you got to be
working for a company that has brand
ability that people know is that what
your job is easier when you go and sell
in the market so yeah absolutely and
don't be a wimp don't be a wimp yes so
the last point a touch on here as an
entrepreneur inside a company the CEO
yes he will be in the meeting the
meetings done they say yes Mazel Tov
everything is good to go but now he has
to go take care of payroll talk to the
production team talk to whatever it is
he has to do you have to make sure even
though everybody else is celebrating you
got to make sure there's a touchdown and
them
and the money is exchanged the deal is
actually completed because he's not
going to think about this until three or
four days later hey what happened to
that you need to make sure that you
actually conclude the deal money's
exchanged for you know propositions are
signed and the deal is closed so money
in the bank that's where the magic
happens all right everything else until
then is fluff contracts are very nice
promises are very nice handshakes very
nice we want money in the biz egg all
right so I think that's all of the
points I have for today so let's sum it
up again you do not need to start your
own business and by the way you should
not start your own business until you
have a ton of experience working in a
business on an intimate level and seeing
how you know because I worked in many
businesses before this I was able to see
okay you need an accounting department
you need an HR department you need a
project manager you need insurance you
need all these you once you know that
you need all these things but that takes
a long time to do ladies and gentlemen
but I'll tell you this that the easiest
way to start your own business in any
company is within the sales or business
development portion of it because that
is the most entrepreneurial portion of
any business so that is the best jump
off point if you do eventually want to
start your own business the best jump
off point is to go into sales or go into
business
that being said I don't believe that
every person should start through your
own business if you're making half a
million dollars a year with the company
and we're not gonna talk about what
Elias is gonna make but he's gonna make
six figures in the next 12 months God
willing and I'm proud to say that you
might be a little embarrassed to say
that I so I just got a little nervous
you changed your body position you
started touching your beard hey I think
it's inspiring and I think that if we
help other people make make a livelihood
as well I think that's a beautiful thing
so you don't need to make your own you
don't need to become an entrepreneur you
don't need all the headaches you can
become a very powerful entrepreneur
which I was for many years I was always
the top earner wherever I went and you
could stack a lot of money that way you
could if you're making half a million
bucks a year you could
you could put away a million dollars in
you know six seven years you have a
million bucks go through it into real
estate and guess what you just became a
millionaire all right so you don't have
to become an entrepreneur most
entrepreneurs by the way in the United
States of America make less than seventy
thousand dollars a year and most
entrepreneurs in Canada make less than
forty nine thousand dollars a year so
don't think it's so glamorous and they
have a big headache and they have the
worst boss which is themselves more
questions anything on Instagram I love
you to Thompson Thompson Bell thank you
for watching god bless let's make
entrepreneurs great again and we will
see you next week Monday on the barrel
