welcome to a lair rehab in nursing an unparallel provider of hotel-style healthcare in the heart of monmouth county new jersey a lair we have a nursing is 174 bed rehab facility and freehold we have sub acute care which is short-term stay usually after a surgery or hospital stay and they receive intensive therapies and then ultimately go back home or to wherever they came from in the community long-term care is a traditional nursing home when we first took over a layer there was no sub acute unit we had to introduce the sub acute unit we closed down this unit in order to renovate it and that gave us the opportunity to start training the staff to handle sub acute levels and they have to be prepared for all sorts of diagnosis all sorts of illnesses you know patient types that did not exist in this setting you know four or five years ago these patients were at the hospital yet now we're expected to take care of them but the staff have welcomed it with open arms that are excited about the ability to care for such patients and it's had really good outcomes it's very important as the corporate team that we take very good care of our employees because that allows our employees the freedom to then take care of our residents so that's really where it trickles down from we're all team so we all sit down and we really get a femur proach to everything because what I might think somebody else might not see it so as all of us together we have a really full picture of the resident that's here what really sets us apart is our family like atmosphere and our team really is a family we're not expected to have patients here for weeks on end we're expected to really pack a punch give them what they need and really set them up for success at home where they can thrive and ultimately not end up back in a hospital so we want to make sure we give them as much therapy as they need as much nursing care as they need educate them on their condition and ultimately set them up in a way where they can be self-sustained and self-sufficient and they can live a very good and healthy life [Music] you
