today we have two Mitzvah number one the prohibition against cursing a fellow Jew the verse States Thou shalt not curse the deaf man why does say not to curse a deaf person well our SES explain that when one is angry at someone there's different levels you could be so angry that you want to punch him or hurt him really bad until maybe he's finished and then there's another level where you just want to cause him financial distress and then there's another level where you want to just yell at him in the face and curse him in his face and then there's another level you're not so angry but you just want to curse him even when he's not in front of you he can't hear you you're just by yourself and you just want to curse that guy that's why you refer to as a death guy he can't hear you and this the Torah is also prohibiting you from doing don't curse someone even if he can't hear you and not only that our sages say don't even curse yourself people sometimes are rough on themselves and they curse themsel don't do that Mitzvah number two the positive commandment to testify you know information you're obligated to testify in front of the court of Jewish law whether or not this is going to cause someone Financial harm or personal harm or whatever it is if you know something to be true you're obligated to come forward and testify we will see you tomorrow
