[music]
Shalom my friends. We have just finished
the book of Samuel. And what a road it
has been. [music] Joshua, the judges,
Saul, David, years of battles and
betrayals and miracles and failures and
wilderness and caves. It's it has truly
been biblical. Now, before we open the
book of Kings, Jeremy and I want to
pause the teaching for one evening and
just talk. We want to share, connect. We
want to hear from you. This Sunday,
August 9th, at 8:00 p.m. Israel time, we
are doing a live Prophets of Israel
questions and answers open to everyone
who has been walking this road with us.
I'm going to open by sharing something
uh personal because studying the
prophets for me has not been an academic
exercise. Uh David's life has shaped
mine. It shaped the road I'm walking
right now in real time. Uh there are
three, I think, main things that came to
mind that have really carried me through
these past months and really influenced
the actions that I've taken in my life.
Um including one that I've gone back and
forth about whether I'm going to share
it all, but I am going to share it
because that's what we do here. And then
we want to hear from you. Bring
anything, a question about Samuel, Saul,
David, a difficult verse, something from
the series that's stayed with you. Bring
the things you've always wanted to ask
but never had the opportunity to. And
bring the deeper things. Bring your
struggles, something you're wrestling
with, something you're carrying,
something about faith, about Israel,
about the times we're living through.
Whatever it is, you know, if by the way,
if you already get our Prophets of
Israel daily emails and WhatsApp
messages, there's nothing you have to
do. We'll send you a Zoom link. If you
don't get our emails or messages, then
sign up at the link below and we'll send
you everything you need. You could also
just go to our website, the
landofisrael.com. There's a prophets of
Israel Daily. Click on that. There's no
cost. Just come. Uh we've spent months
walking through the lives of the
prophets together. And so before we
begin the next book, the book of Kings,
let's spend one evening speaking to each
[music] other, not only about what the
prophets meant then, but about what
they're asking of us right now. God
willing, see you Sunday. Sending love
[music] and blessings from Judea.
Shalom.
