Hello everybody. These days in Hebrew it's called the mayor Amit Sarim. In other words, these are the days that we are mourning the destruction of Beth Hamikdash, [music] the first and the second. What caused this to happen? The destruction of Beth Hamikdash. There's [music] a small story in the Masachet Gittin that were two people named Kamtza bar Kamtza. >> [music] >> It happened to be one day one of the people [music] that was not invited to the meal of the Seudah. His name [music] was Kamtza. And instead of Kamtza came bar Kamtza. It happened to be that bar Kamtza was not invited. >> [music] >> When he was not invited a host told him, "Please leave [music] the place." And he did not leave the place. Why? Because he said he wanted to feel embarrassed. But unfortunately he grabbed them and he told him, "Please leave the place." And everybody were sitting there, nobody said [music] a word. And this was the biggest shame for him. And he said, "Nobody said a word, nobody protected me." He went to the one of the emperors of Rome and he told him that these people are so bad, they always talk bad about you. And he said, "Where is the proof?" And [music] he says, "Well, if you give me an offering they will not take your offerings." And then they said, and he said to him, "Okay, this is the calf I would like to give it >> [music] >> for the offering." So meanwhile, when he took that offering to the temple, he took a knife and he sliced the lip of that calf. And he brought it to the Kohen Gadol, saw it, >> [music] >> and he said, "This is invalid offering." And then the [music] Kohen Gadol did not take that offering. The emperor heard about it >> [music] >> and he happened to be that he uh get angry and that's where the destruction of Beit Hamikdash had happened for that sense. >> [music] >> The moral of the story is that we have to be very careful who we are dealing with. It's Torah lo tonu isha mito. We should not hurt each other. We should respect and love each others these days. This could have been solved. This could have been solved. Hashem y'varech etchem, Hashem oz l'amo ten, Hashem y'varech et amo v'shalom.
