always focus on on some of the some of the we always find an or two to dive into just a little bit um happy to share that the episode that we did which was titled wasc has over 10,000 views you have that many who begin learning they begin specifically with the thisas the second peric and we already mentioned in the episode on bakama a little bit about it if why it's picked to Da learn fromus but this has many practical aspects of specifically starting with finding dealing with allegations of sh watching borrowing watching things that borrowing things all these types of selling items how to price items complex rib of hiring people for jobs and and many other topics come up through this it's a very very in Practical however in the focus is much more on the lumus um and we'll discuss a little bit about that throughout in in different aspects in this episode now obviously you'll be worthwhile in the in the day to find time man as they say say to look a little bit more into the numerous works that are out there making it more current as theas here are very relevant even people are not in business there's a lot ofas that play out in their day-to-day lives and when you learn this and there's a lot of different aspects for it say many different in English art scoll has published a bunch I couldn't even list them all out but they have a bunch feldom has a few um just to mention one Rabbi badner has a book in Fel um from I think it's published by feldom and we'll discuss a drop about this towards the end but this is just a point to mention about I neglected to ask you this when we started you'll get to this it's worth mentioning thatas is the peric that for most it's the first taste of gar that they have is there a m to this something you're going to get to or answer off the cuff I'm not I'm not I'm not I do not have an answer I have been looking for an answer how far back it is I cannot answer um and why it is also that we mentioned in the babam episode in the beginning but I have not been able to find exactly how it developed and when it started uh maybe one day we'll get to having an answer maybe someone has an answer or someone maybe did a study about it already um but it's it's very it's very interesting my first exposure was alus still remember we learned it by Berlin and it was my first ritva we ever learned actually also because he deals with he deal he spoke out us why is the mishna picking all these unique cases when you learn Al Matas it's also very interesting but anyway that's um we're not going to get to that in this in in this episode at least okay now but this the presentation is going to show how this m was learned throughout the ages as we've done in the past um now obviously this m was learned because it was very and it still is however what's going to come out from this whole episode is that they had learned it and we're going to document that they learned it but most of them material they did not have throughout the ages only in our generation or maybe the past 100 years is an explosion of material specifically from B and through that we might be able to answer some interesting questions what I'm going to do is put it in chronological order I'm going to show because I'm basically trying to show B was learned so it was learned but this and I'll mention when I talk about specific stuff when the safer was actually published and we'll see that a lot of it happens to come out much later on now just three brief Nas as I said we always try to find there's always source that say how they learned it in the yes cycle and it's going to be obvious from W this far here that it was part of the yes cycle just to mention early letter where this person is writing about how he to learn by the in Prague this is way back in the 1700s so this letter which is published Inu volume four ofuda raas he writes this is when he's a teenager about 16 17 years old that he was like to learn and he's specifically spelling out to Babas but we'll see clearly that it was learned okay this is one interesting thing about and just two other things before we get jump right into it is like this there's a there's a series of there's a volume called which is a fascinating volume from um ziler and he has a letter where he's talking to someone about learning about um and he he talks about of the and then he and he ends up saying that we find the famous if you want to get you should be then he says um and then he and he says and he talks about this he says then he brings in then he says you should learn this fire dick you should learn it with great this is a fascinating volume published before World War II of materials in this where he's giving eight of the The Unbelievable stuff going on by then he has in this letter more about this okay it's one second and the third is general and specifically about this to look in the third he brings he starts off with the letter we're talking about all people are very involved with mid they don't realize that and different aspects which comes out very clearly when you learn about brings this letter from about the as of learning these helps it's not only about but this is how you learn aspects of by going through it and beautifully well in his his incredible work gim talks about this elaborating on this okay now so let's just go through very fast that we always mention very fast the manuscripts of the so of course this still has from the from his work he had a few manuscripts of the gar he had actually the raan r manuscript which we'll get to discussing later on um as far as or academic literature we always just point down very briefly shedman he has two massive volumes on deals with the of the of the per and a beer of the per but he has throughout his volume tons of information about the manuscripts of it might even be more unique than other M and one could his articles about this and one other safer to point out is there's a from Professor the person I I know very well I was to actually learn by him where he has a massive beautiful work on the a lot of different aspects relating to the which is a peric in in now we go through always we just say so already in B we spoke about and just forgot to mention from okay so we always mention that there's the in the has a parish aish and Li and we already discussed in the episode that we just released said you're allowed to learn it's going on auction maybe it was Bor already a letter he was asked if you could learn this far he said you could so we Comm mention that we also have the perish okay then we always move in very fast to the so we've always discussed already B now more recent years because of new discoveries not for now but basically Professor Brody and and a team of people have found through much more material that was not available to bin and they've already released through it's published by m on reissuing it with tons more material okay discoveries are always made even in the worlds the world so there's a work two Works which we're not going to get into discussing what they are but the one's known as so this work there's a there was a there's a that I've quoted a bunch of times Professor Sim Emanuel so he me what one of his things is he seeks out so he's located materials related long lost work New pieces that were not available up till now and he's published them in his volumea once they're talking about his volume mopa this is these are manuscripts how he discovers it he deals with it in the book fascinating information and volume two of mopa he also found Al Another early work called also related to okay now we move into we've discussed them already in the past so in Cho when it came out that one of the pluses that they had says they have the this if you look in does not have the whole thing but um because the manuscript that they had was only partial we just spoke about he already started collecting it from then on various people had new materials such as the Shas will get to and the sa there we're about to talk talk about and Mook has published an addition which has much more material of and now that leads us to the next thing right away Zar this is um he it's written around 1190 this is an early type of work of aetas where he's collecting materials up to 119 has much later material and it's published it's known as the safer Han in 2010 I think it's in 2010 the work the whole work comes out about mat in a in a legible manner earlier it had come out in in a effect mil Edition and what it has is a lot of material ra and stuff like that so the famous he pulled out materal and other stuff and that's part of what is is found in his volume on and that and also materials okay now we go into the so here's where we already could start seeing a so all this material that we just discussed was not available throughout the generations it existed so we see that it was learned but now let's go through the so if you I've quoted in the past you open up your your he has a list that he saw that he was aware of a lot of the manuscripts so if you look in he just list two things okay now we'll get back to this shortly now we know we have the right some someone Al T of RA put together two massive volumes where he gathered all different materials that the rivid found in secondary sources from the all the that they bring from the r and he has beum on it it's available to massive ISS I think it's still in print even okay but this is not a whole this but we don't have we we believe that the r did write a work on B's lost but here we have the pieces from secondary resources okay now let's move on to the ramban the ramban they did not have throughout the ages until 1929 in a project of gathering all the materials of ramban which we discussed in the episodes of in the beginning of this in season two he had this project and he printed from manuscript ramban okay um laa later on Professor tashma found a few another manuscript of some pieces which were not in the Edition that meltz did so he publishes it and then later on Raa hler when he publish ran he has already a few manuscripts some that didn't have okay so they published that so today when you go to the store you buying ran you have to keep in mind this was not around the first time it even came into existence in 1929 and the volume that you have now is not even 50 years old it's much less than 50 years old now tyan was known to the when they learned this why because we have the M which was printed in 1512 but not nearly as much if you go through there's a lot of material that's not found in the just like everything else there's a new addition of the specifically with a fancy beer just came out from this year and basing it on all the additions and also being on all different things okay this is the ran from his Bas mag we have the Raja when does the Raja come out many M it came out much earlier this volume only comes out in 1931 from the M of dvit which we also discussed his him a little bit in theki they published this from manuscript and again today there's even more manuscripts so my cook Edition will even have it based on more manuscripts we and we'll discuss a drop more about this shortly and or so it's believed found in the back to the so this is again with sorry now R the raan Raj so but all this again is only taking place in our Century the so the this on this it this is interesting story what's the story is like there's a tral in 1608 it's published and over there he has material of what he calls the ritva until okay the is published in t that is 1729 so in 1729 it's published for the first time but already people started noticing that this cannot be the RIT for various reasons um has he seemed to keep on come back to revisit it and he deals with it in today in the standard all the pieces that he came are all put together but it was written over over time and the conclusion is that this R published in tough P test is not the ritah okay so is the r does the r exist so bar in 196 in 1962 R Al alter halin from England publishes the manuscript he has a m where he deals with the whole story explaining proving how this is true what the r of Tes is etc etc now of course M comes along they have more manuscripts so they publish it more okay um the claim is that this is a mad Bas of the rvah where the madur is the da up to but all this could be dealt with in both the fascinating mother ofin the brief mother of and they also explain that if would have had the real was many things this is a Cass a very valuable thing that one could find in um in in these M I find very interesting is they show what's the point of having this thing and say oh there a and if you had this you would see that he could be so it's very nice when you have such materials and they point it a lot of times they try because they're trying to say the significance of it but um this is one great significance of of these um introductions of these kind as far okay moving right um and they but they do print in the back of the M cook Edition they print the galante the part of the that's it seems to be of the with footnotes is the found in the back of the cook edition of the ritah okay so but the point that I'm trying to make out is the real ritah the Raj the r are only coming out less than 100 years ago okay let's go further only in this Century T Rush only 1959 Paris 1970 interestingly enough it seems that an addition comes out the 1830s with a famous as ofer um I have an amusing story with it one time I think was we learning about Mia and someone told me I was trying I asked in high school I said when did the ran live he tells me must be after because it has a fromer so okay so he learned at that time that that that's not what it means that is sometimes about a work much much earlier and thean and are not um in the same time period okay anyway 1994 the Complete Edition comes out comes out 1959 so all what we're seeing over here again and again is the wrote about these but it only came out in the past hundred years okay so how do they have besides for the that some people had the answer is 1721 the is printed under the name IIM has in the shower we already see um um a listing out of this far that it has okay and we'll get to pointing out something interesting about this but basically they had a now all of a sudden they have some materials of the Raj the ritv the ran but all the additions that came out in AR Century have much much more material okaya this is the story of the Now we move into the so as I said it was learned we have Mar which is printed about 161 we have incred the incredible saf T which I'm still hoping if we are able to get funding for it to have a whole episode devoted to the T but he dies in 1632 his work on this also 1624 is 1624 excellent safer also dealing with ha similar to the mar that deals with and and I quoted already previously talks about he says we must mention that Weinstein just released in the past few days what he worked on the with a beautiful introduction published byid and it's available it's a guess copies it's available for purchase and I believe its copies are on their way to America so there one could see a history of the tus um and all different things and and he put out not but and he discusses why he did that also okay moving on there's Auda which is published in 16887 he's the of college we spoke a little bit about him in the the the she about far bakama so to Rebel who's not a rebba but he's known as reel we also spoke about him a little bit in bakama in the so I'm not going to repeat that here either okay now theu publishes is in 1756 okay these are the famous um earlier I would say and then all of a sudden but what becomes unique doesn't need any discussion we know that very it changed the world at the time why and how exactly that needs to be mapped out but not for now okay what happens to is it comes along writes publish so he dies in 1698 but it takes a long time for it to be published in 1735 in the he's very close to the and one today could buy it just recently I believe in the past year published a beautiful two volume edition of this and the introduction excellent introduction of material about for me what was the exciting thing about the the who doesn't really quote quote this work at least two times in which is a very unique feature as it's believed that the gro did not really see or quote this is something that needs to be um clarified out of but the fact is he quotes this unique so this is why it was famous but now it's but in its time it was very famous and many people used it and the introduction Maps this all out and to see this work goes through the whole M very very thorough okay now the lumus of this m one of the early works way way back in this publishes it's published first time in 1738 and he dies in 1735 but okay and it this be this remains a classic one of thei Classics on World okay I would like to quote one about this in a very unique Source many years ago I came across a book called Frank to his son while his son Frank was learning in Europe in the various isas and this is a letter while his son was learning in TS so Frank in is writing letters weekly to his son fascinating letters um this volume is not available I don't know why not they printed parts of this volume calling it CH R I believe it's called but this actual volume with the full letters is not available it's not even on the database now over here in this full volume it says like this it seems his s was about to start learning make sure to learn this safer and then he goes on and tells him my youth I had in the this and this thing and then he writes two pages about it um handling and learning about this thing okay so he recommends his son to make sure to learn we move on there's a say so this also in the letters of um of Frank I believe he also points out this but this is um G he was someone who Maris this is published in 1829 um and interestingly enough he met M when was very young and he recommended he wrote a letter recommending to marus and others that this muger is somebody and that's why he ends up getting the stellar and BR and then he becomes and then he basically remains in the city of BR where he becomes Dar eventually dying etc etc so it's all from this y's turn the sa has been published many times even more okay he was a great G in that period of time okay moving on we have the so we already spoke about relating to incredible sadly it's not the um I mentioned already then my father used to always tell me that people that he felt when he's Ina B learning he didn't need a MAG because it's written so clear goes through all the okay but this is published in 1864 we mentioned already in bakama that there's an article about is history in yuran if one wants a copy of this email me and I'll be more than happy to send now what's interesting in Bia is here we have a live piece of from the in the first par of B we don't have so many materials of because his tras were basically destroyed um um in three different fires inan but in this brings down the beginning we could learn a piece ofra from who from now there's an interesting piece from Kaplan in his work this is the son ofap also where he deals with length so if one wants to see about to see what is what the original of the original that's where one should start so here we have a piece as they say talking about so a recent picture a volume called from from manuscripts of was published and in there we have a unique manuscript of the on the of okay so one could check that out too okay now we're we're going further into the we have like this so this is early on not early this is another of he's a brother of these brothers the hel Brothers there was four brothers he's the oldest one so he was AAL of is famous um wrote the famous and some other now one wants to read about this family there's a beautiful article fromat and also in R volume two there's a entry on all these four brothers one could learn much more about them okay so this he has a which is and so here we have from with specifically just recently they discovered more materials linking him to and that has been publish in Maria different from with his own on it and the complete in Maria part of it was published and the complete manuscript was published in the k a few years ago okay moving on continuing yet with vajan we have the B Ali the great B Ali so in his chuvas there are many chuvas where he deals with at least the first peric or maybe even more different sugas in b i remember from when I was in 12th grade my RAB was fond to go through these various pieces of the b in okay is who was born 1835 he publishes a saer 1880 we've mentioned him in some other because he he wrote about seven eight again if one wants to see about him you should see the r beautiful book on L where it talks about him again I refer you to the letters of Frank to his son he basically one of the things he comes up time and time again in these fascinating letters of Frank is he would ask his son while he was in Europe please get me the various sparm and he has a long list of sparm he would could say to get him and we ask him why don't you get me this and to get the stealer something that sparm collectors could find fascinating because here we have Frank the great of of um having that's House Farm end up getting to where to he had his son who was learning in Europe at the time so this time he's already in Mir so he tells him there's a safe that I want it was a if you could get them we great I don't have he lists out some others if he could get them and then he asked him time and time again to make sure in other letters also to please get him this particular safer okay so here we have yet another connection to vajan from does not have so much material I'm not sure why just is like this that um we have R the famous rim a person who's worthy of a whole episode what right but basically theise the first mishna of brings on the Mish already theim brings a whole piece in about it and um in in the book mishna from kanne he has a whole list of people that deal with this of about it but if one wants I'll be more than happy to send is a piece from where he brings a piece that he heard fromin from on this nice two pages dealing with the first Mna and here you get to see the how they handled with a and again with the V okay anyway now just to conclude with and then we'll just very briefly say something about number one I keep on saying not so now some of these that we just mentioned they were published you know okay fine but is any other so the answer is yes yes tons of materials have been coming out and keep on coming out just to mention reer so reer there a work published on 1979 it has a lot of material in Bia from new manuscripts for some reason and I don't know why but I recall in the 90s this volume disappeared it seems it got lost the distributor it sent it to America it was very hard to find today it's very possible to find but again here we have 1979 beautiful material of was published in the year 1990 of his he was he was was in 1617 was published by in 2000 a mass of already has the T of relating to it but here we have published by Massive earlier work from published in 2006 from is a work of the Mori prag not on aod but on very well very not known is that we have materials of the maral who is a great in his lifetime he's one of the greatest of his time but most of his material didn't survive published on all of from the mor that's a key word over here okay way back to also in the past 203 years new material a notebook of from was published and then there was a whole T there was another more from that's a deal we already mentioned briefly if that's considered reliable we spoke about that already by bab specifically B is reliable was published by Professor Sal and others we have a few pieces of okay just to mention there was a new materials that was published and then just to be this is just recently in the past few months two more Works were published that relate to B new manuscripts number one is theen so you was a son-in-law of who and this a whole remarkable story about the the the survival of this manuscript he had a talmid and basically this talmid just recently gave it it was basically just published recently and um I've been told from people in Lakewood thaten is not is it's hard to find he was rash in V but he also learned by so this so there was a recent article in m so basically this article in English basically caused that in America it's very hard to find it you still could find it in here is new materials on this but even here is some new materials of I um the author Fran ginsky the author of the article Mish um sent me the article and I'm able to send it out if someone asked for a PDF of this beautiful article about this sonw who basically was killed and that we now have a surviving notebook of and new materials okay fine one other major of a new thinger so Samer also his work is he's one of those people I make a joke is always riding from the grave so also just now a work came out a few months ago with a few different sugas a bunch of materials of his that was never published before one could get that also okay the of and with a particular thing of the manuscripts in very recent years okay now I would like to say and then we're going to conclude with two um two other sentences going on the is like this throughout this episode we see that b was learned okay now when I I remember when I was younger there was a Yeshiva that learned takuk which is one in the first paric they spent the whole Winter's man just on taken so at the time I couldn't understand what are they doing spending a whole Winter's man it was even a leap year I think they spent just learning one Su so it was very strange to me okay now on the other hand we know that such as the stier have written CAD cader about the of the world the world is learns very very slow and this is a this is a conversation that needs to be mapped out and but I want to just make based on the information that we see here in front of us and that is my suggestion is like this the throughout the generations they he publishes another on another also which basically is a massive on five BL turns out and I'm gonna make this very short it's like this there's there's a known today it's became much more famous the actual is called from he has a work of and this work has become very famous and it's known as the whatever this m is and how it ties into what's known as originally known as pilp it's intense intense learning being m in every single letter of the gar now this required major major and we now have thanks to this bayarin and others few BL pages and P you still read it your head will spin it's how it's being m in every tag shag of the gamar very very hard to understand and he this byn I'm more than happy to send the PDF of the actual safer because you cannot buy it anymore um but he's published a manuscript from the this is from the DAR the G now what what does this have to do they basically is they learned crazy crazy be now if you go back toet which I said is published in 1721 he says an interesting line he says he has amongst other things he has from from the from the from who the what is this safer that this Daniel has also from this is also from the b m on the Su of tre found in B these are that the B thei also they learned now whatever it is we have to map out a different time not now but I came across a passage in the Theus met a great grandson of the of it says In this passage that how many times do you think the of Ky learned Chas turns out three times what he learned Chas three times how could that be the answer is the was from the B of they learned with intense after you learn the look at this it is and as I said the safer that will spin from the that are happening in this gar and these these group of people they did learn intense and they didn't learn with not faster and faster we have a crazy amount of material anyway there's crazy amounts of materials we have four massive volumes there's the What's called the Fran which we spoke about in So here there's 95 pages of a in small print based on over a thousand different um and it doesn't have which it has in why I don't know but basically a crazy amount of information of from beginning from the beginning till the end and also even the in the back has okay okay now just for one minute has a crazy amount so finding I just recommend this rib massive massive topic why it's in it's his own question there's the from then you have the from gber and also known as the author of we have Risman my Rabbi growing up his book from art SC excellent book onib we have we hope to give a whole episode to dealing with um concept of what lies behind the there's many articles and material from Professor relating to ribus both in English both in Hebrew theis how does this develop is also a fascinating topic there's a book from from Professor Joseph shatzmiller called shyac reconsider Jewish money lending and Ral Society and we consider there's a lot to talk about on relating to ribb and then one last sentence is we have Professor Ru bu publishes a book called Mala which originally was thought to be a 17 from the 1700s a parody work it turns out it's from the much a few hundred years earlier he publishes it and it gives a whole insight into the business world of Italy in the 15 1600s and he deals with it greatly in this critical Edition that he publishes the work called Mal which will which which is also relating to aspects found in certain of so this is just a small of what exists on this so I give you I wish everyone luck to learn this m properly thank you fascinating um you mentioned the newer with the sh anden did you also mention that certain people like to talk about son-in-law no I did not mention if you want if you like to point it out pleas be my guest I did not mention that connection for like me it's always he important and our our listening audience but what do you have to say I don't know I just know that he was very this book the article that if one wants i' be more than happy to send out this book has a nice chapter about it but he embraced it so they they embraced it um it sounds like from here that they they were much more open to cidus than Graphics I happen to like a lot they have maps maps in the back but deals with um funerals and he basically collects a lot of the material that people think about even people traveling not even people that live in is people because everyone travels to Isel visiting Isel tons of a lot of documented sources of Pim that is mala from all different um current makis it looks very well worth one's um especially if one's going to even if not you know it's always interesting to know all these Halas um he has a whole miscellaneous section I see deals with even n and these type of stuff etc etc but buter it looks like very valuable work it makes a very nice raim and I hope to spend a lot of time going through it more carefully soon but that's a safeer I would like to mention that just came out I believe it might be available already in America n TR it's available in all the stores I like when authors call their safe for just like er is like toyra you know this is it is what it is you know put
