Bamboo Farm - Family Fun in Swan Lake - The Perlowitz Show

We're in Steinau, but bamboo farm. This place is a gorgeous farm. You all got to check this out here in Swan Lake, New York. I have a little minute to go and do see the farm. I don't believe it. Is that him? Is that him? No way. Lazy lazy, what's in eyes? This guy's galloping down the road. Let's go down to the farm over here. This is a farm that you guys got to check out. Lazy, zoom up so we can get the farm before we get into it. >> Okay, so this is a very friendly petting zoo. We have all kind of animals. We have all kind of activities that you could do on this farm. Very hands-on. We let the kids feel free when they come. Um it's more like a do farm than a don't do farm. >> I love that. >> Yes. >> Come on, get my kick do the farm. We just came into the farm here. I love that slang. Do is the do farm. Because in New York City, where we come from, it's all about don't do, don't touch, don't get near the animals. What's in eyes over here? So, let me the kids can come into the cages here? >> Kids can go into the cages. We have friendly staff that's going to show them how to take care of the animals, how to pet them. You can brush them. We have The kids can milk the goats when when it's available. Uh we have tractor rides, horse rides. >> Really? >> of fun. Besides for the animals, we also have like a park where the kids can play. We have also boating. We have a lot to show and a lot to offer. >> Wow. >> Uh yeah, let's check this out. >> this out, Hava. Lazy, what's this trailer here for? >> Okay, so besides for the on farm, where the kids can come and play, we also have a traveling zoo, which we can come down to you if you're upstate or even if you're in the city. We go to Monroe, Monsey, Borough Park, Williamsburg. Anywhere you are, and we bring down the fun to you. >> Really? >> Yes. So we >> bring the horse down >> down a cow, we bring down a pony, goats, sheep, chickens, and rabbits. >> Nice. >> And it's a blast. We come down for 2 hours, 4 hours, whatever you need, whatever your camp needs. And we also do have option of horse rides. If your camp needs, if it's local upstate, we can also come down with our big horse to give horse rides for the kids, for the book of them, for anybody that >> Okay, back here. Look at this cute little pony over here. Cute little pony. Me people are mistaken. They think a pony is a baby horse. >> No, a pony is not a baby horse, it's a pony. >> [snorts] >> Um there is such thing as a miniature horse, but that's kind of the same idea. >> That's kind of the same So upstate camps, you want to have a good activity, you want to give the kids horseback riding. This is amazing. All right. So let's dive into you come down to New York City as well, right? Borough Park, Flatbush, Monsey, anywhere where you need a petting zoo in house, you come down with your whole zoo. >> Right. >> Wow. So up here, let's get back into the farm up here. What do we got? We got ponies? >> Here we got ponies, we have a cow, we got the horse. >> Where's my cow now? I want to milk it. >> The cow is right there. >> Where's the aw, do the key. What's in nice, nice. >> So I'll get off the horse, we'll tie it up, that way I could show you the farm from close up and have a better tour. >> All righty. >> Let's go. >> All right. Let's look at what's his name? >> Rosie. Rosie, the Rosie. >> Okay, Khaim. Here we have our goats and sheep. They're very, very friendly goats. You can pet them, you can play with them. This is a milking goat right here, you can milk them. We have our sheep right here. So the kids can come inside here. They could pet the animals, they could feed them. >> Baa. >> You can buy grain if you want, or we have bamboo growing all over the farm which your kids can take for free, feed the animals. Like we have leaves on it, you can give it to the kids for free. You can pet them, feed them, and just have a great time with the goats and sheep. >> Look how Look how friendly they are. So these are um day camps come down here? >> Yeah, we have the So day camps So we're open to the public Sundays and Fridays. In the middle of the week where we take day camps or we could go down to camps. >> Beautiful. Beautiful. Amazing. I love this. Beautiful peacocks. >> Gorgeous peacocks. >> Um the kids This is The kids don't go in here. This is just uh for like the beauty. We have all our nice chickens in here. We have another chicken coop where the kids are going to be able to go in, but this is just beautiful. You see all different kind of roosters, chickens, turkeys, peacocks. It's just like kids stand around here, and it's amazing. >> It is. Those peacocks have to open their wings? >> Yeah, every morning they open their wings. >> Really? >> Yeah. It's hard to get them to open them when you want. >> When you want they don't open it. Nice. >> have opened it already. >> Nice. Can I get a kick with the goose too? So with the noise from the speakers and the laser. Take us into the coop. >> So here we have the chicken coop where the kids could come in. These are egg layers, so we have eggs. The kids could pick the eggs if they're still in the coop when they come. >> Really? What? The kids can actually take the eggs? >> Yeah, they could take it home. Every day we take out the eggs, so it's always fresh when it's in here. Look, we have over here a couple eggs. >> Wow. >> Fresh fresh eggs. This is >> me sunny side up now? >> Look at this. Let's go. Let's make it. Oh, we can't eat it. It's Thursday, but I would eat it if I could. >> Khai, yeah? >> Of course. >> What, you'll snap the egg? >> It's a It's a regular egg. Regular regular regular. >> That is sick. Do you Do they hatch them too here? >> No, we don't hatch the eggs, but we eat them. >> Very cute. So you eat organic eggs. This is >> Every day fresh organic. >> This is crazy. Every day new eggs, right? They hatch egg a day? >> Yes. >> Wow. Can I get a kick? >> It's not grass-fed eggs, but it's organic. We give them organic feed. >> That's crazy. >> And sometimes we'll let them out. Not not often, so it's not considered grass-fed. >> Mhm. Trampolines for the kids to dance on, rock climbing, and I zip line. I have a zip line for the kids to flee in. Bunny rabbits are my favorite. >> Here we have the bunny rabbits. So, this is the highlight of most of the kids that come. >> Get back here. >> Bunny rabbits it is. >> Kids can play with the bunny rabbits. >> the bunny rabbits. We give them hay. We have beautiful bunnies. >> Gorgeous pink eyes. >> Yeah. >> And the kids feel good. They hold them, they play with them. It's good therapy. >> Yeah, very good. Oh man, this is so furry, so cute. >> very furry. >> So, the kids just hug them, play with them. Oh. >> Yep. Now, be careful they don't fall down, but uh they're amazing, amazing. >> them carrots. >> Yeah, only carrots, nothing else. Don't bring food because sometimes if you give them too much different kind of food they can get sick. >> Got it. Nice. >> try to keep it just carrots and then the feed that they have with hay. >> Have it at the favorite part of the farm. The cows. >> Okay, so first of all, we have seating. So, you can come, you can eat lunch over here. Whatever you want. It's a nice flat breezy area. Here we have the cow. We have the pony and we have the horse. >> Nice. And the kids can feed them. >> friendly. You can pet the cow, you can pet the pony. Look. >> Oh, wow. >> Very very very friendly cow. Extremely friendly. >> Wow, look at the look at the look at the. Do you cut off the uh horns? Do they come like that? >> Yep. This is a Jersey cow. Weighs around like 1,000 lb. >> Nice. >> And uh yeah, it's just extremely friendly. It loves kids and the kids love the cow. >> That is beautiful. That is beautiful. >> Here we got Silver, our pony. Also extremely friendly. We got Rosie, our famous horse. Extremely friendly. All our animals are friendly. >> And the kids got really close up, got to touch it, got to smooth with it, play with it. >> And we also give horse rides. >> Oh, wow. >> You can't ride the horse, but we can lead you. We give a horse ride. >> Nice. Nice. Nice. You got to brush the horse a little. >> Yes. Of course. >> Beautiful. Nice. >> Big >> of the fun is that the kids get to be able to jump on a balloon. They have a slide, a jumping balloon. We have a jumping a jungle gym. This is totally free for people that paid admission, so there's no extra, you know, fee when you want to jump and have fun. It's also right near the lake, so the kids can see the lake while they're jumping, and it's just a lot of fun, and it's amazing. >> So, I'm coming from the farm right here, you have a gorgeous lake. >> Yes. >> Boating. >> So, we just did excavation. It's not the nicest yet, but it's getting beautiful. Uh we did it the last minute. We had Ryan from Martin Excavation did a great job. >> Shout out. >> Shout out to Ryan Martin. And uh let's go check out the boating. >> Look at the lake. Look at the lake. Gorgeous lake. Got boating, so I mean when the day camp comes, they get the full full full package here. >> Yeah, so we don't have that much boats for big camps, but for small day camps we could accommodate. And uh you know, as we go on, we get bigger. >> Unbelievable. Yeah, shifting of the gorgeous lake, picnics. This is a full day trip. >> even bring down a couple picnic tables where the shade is cuz we left a couple trees. You could sit here, watch the beautiful lake. This is a private lake, so nobody's going to be on here besides the people from the farm >> Really? >> or from or from the houses um the bungalow colony next door, but it's private, fully private. >> Wow, look at the view. >> And now you go. Okay, so here we have the boating. We have a nice couple of boats, all different kinds. Mainly we do paddle boating, but we also have a couple of that, let's say like sometimes when, you know, the counselor wants to be there, so he's faster, he has that option. A beautiful 3-acre lake. >> Nice. >> It's just beautiful. You go boating, you have a nice 5 minutes, an hour. >> So relaxing. >> Relaxing. We also have fishing here. So, if you bring your own fishing rod, you can go fishing. >> a couple wants to come on the boating here? >> Yeah? >> Did you come? >> Just Well, you go come, you go to the farm, and then you pay for boating. You can go fishing if you bring your own fishing rod. We have bass, we have pickerel, yellow perch. >> Do they got life jackets as well? This is amazing. >> fully loaded. Everybody has to wear life vests. >> This is amazing, huh? >> And here we have a milking goat. We got fresh fresh milk. We let kids milk it. >> I This is the real the real deal. >> The real deal. >> Extra milk. Fresh in the morning? You got your coffee here? >> So, we like to we like to we get a coffee in the morning and then we keep it unmilked so the kids that come they can milk it. Um we just you know we always make sure it's not obviously in pain, but we leave you know a little milk for the kids. Here, take a sip. >> Yummy milk. Is it warm or what is it? >> Yeah, comes out comes out hot. >> Wow, Kevin. This is just beautiful. No way, I don't believe it. I don't believe it. The man of the hour is back. Off the tractor Look at this. Oh, wow. I got to hop on over here, Kevin. Woah. Should I hop on her? This is crazy. Off the tractor over here. >> 1947. This is an antique tractor. Um it's in good condition. It runs and we give tractor rides. We pull this hay wagon right in back. >> The kids got a hay ride. >> Give hay rides. You just go around. Beautiful scenery of the horses, the cows, they have the goats and sheep. >> So, you could go around the whole the whole farm with the with this tractor. 1947. How is it still running? >> Because it's from 1947. >> why. Exactly. Wow, so the kids got a real experience over here.
