involvement now let's get to the para par B I'd like to share with you an idea which isn't actually connected so much to the story it's connected really to something that bam says but just to give a little bit of background to the story of of the para I think is important Torah tells us that bolock Ben seor was the king of Moab he was afraid the Jewish people were going to invade his land destroy his people so he wanted to hire B billum the magician who would indeed move beyond the level of just being a a magician to being someone who has a real NV real Prophecy from God he hired him he wanted him to curse the Jewish people to prevent them from succeeding in their Conquest but instead billum says only Praises he says blessings he says I can only say whatever God will say I can't say anything that God doesn't wish indeed Hashem only wanted him to say words of praise words of Blessing about the Jewish people now in these words of Praise in one of the rounds it's there are multiple times that he gives these blessings he tries to curse them but the blessings come out instead so we have a famous verse it says how great are your tents people of Jacob your Dwelling Places oh people of Israel and then two verses later billum says something which is extremely opaque difficult to understand the water will flow out of its pale and it's referring to the Jewish people their seed whatever they plant will be in many Waters in Great Waters a and they will rise up above AAG his King its king which is a reference to the king of the people of amalik who are the force which is the anti-force of the Jewish people it's speaking about the times of Messiah when the Messiah comes so one of the jobs of Messiah as Rashi tells us in braus in speaking about ysep one of the jobs of mhia ysf is to destroy amalik to destroy this force of evil in the world now when we think about amalik we think about you know the Torah describes that when the Jewish people left Egypt when they left a land of MIT so amalik was this nation that came out to fight the Jewish people to prevent their exit from Egypt prevent their entry into the land of Israel so when we try to understand amalik who they were we can see who they were but who are they today who are these people where are they where are the people of amalik and it's important to understand this because clearly this is a people that's going to stand up at the end of time and try to prevent the Jewish people from reaching their goal mhia the the final war of G involved part of that war is the destruction of amalik it was something that sha was meant to do all the way back in in his times in the times of the the first temple or really right before the first temple he was meant to do that that was that was supposed to bring about the times of Messiah already then and as a verse says here that until the people of amalik until AAG the king of amalik is destroyed completely destroyed until they represent the evil of the world until that evil is destroyed you can't have the raising up of the malus of the kingship of of the Jewish people now as we've mentioned previously not so long ago we spoke about the fact that the Jewish people really were supposed to leave Egypt come into the land of Israel and then create this kingship a spiritual Kingdom which would rule over Israel the land of Israel but not only that but in turn rule over the entire world bring a spirituality to mankind now that's only possible if a mik is destroyed first amik must be destroyed that's what this verse is telling us and then and only then can the Jewish people's malus the spirituality which they represent only then can that be brought into the world so again what is the idea of am it's the anti-force the force which stands up against the Jewish people from from accomplishing bringing the world to a state of Greater Perfection of spirituality now one of the things that's interesting and I'm not going to go so much into this in detail but it's just interesting to point out is that that verse which speaks about the tense of Jacob is two verses before it's it's kind of a leadup into into this discussion of of the fact that there has to be a destruction of amalik before we get to msia and the there's two different Rashi brings down there two different explanations of what are these tents that he's referring to what is B talking about Rashi says the first that the tents that it's referring to here are the tents of the Jewish people that the openings of each tent did not face each other and as a says this was done intentionally so that no one person one couple a man and his wife they wouldn't walk out of the tent or they wouldn't be able to see into the tent of someone else there was a sne of modesty that one person one couple they weren't looking at another couple there was a clear boundary between the tents there was a clear boundary when it came to sexuality now what's also interesting is that Rashi says that another shot another explanation of what are the it's referring to the bdash to the temple to the to the Mish to the Tabernacle to the places where the Jewish people join with God so there's a parallel between the connection of the Jewish people and and the connection between man and wife the gorim the the proper modesty that we have in our relationships the proper the proper approach to sexuality that we have based on the Torah this parallels our relationship with Hashem and the and the mishon itself the Tabernacle and the bdash the temple and the Tabernacle and the temple which is to be built in the times of Messiah clearly it's something which is predicated on the fact that we return to this modesty to the proper boundaries when it comes to sexuality as prescribed by the Torah when the boundaries are falling this is the work of a Malik this is the work of a Malik a Malik is someone or or is is an approach to life which says there are no boundaries I can do whatever I want there's no I don't have to do what's right I don't have to have proper boundaries that is the aspect which has to be destroyed before mashia comes before we can have the before we can have the B mikdash the oil the the tent of meeting with God as it were there has to be proper boundaries there has to be destruction of aik which says that we don't have to have any boundaries that we can do whatever we want now I don't want to get so much into the this aspect of amik but what I do want to speak about is who is am what is the what is the power that they represent how do we deal with amik who are they today how do they manifest in this world and I'd like to share with you a piece in the of this is the B which is often quoted by the ran and uh he says like this this is in 167 in it's talking about the 70 dat Palms which are referred to in the Torah and it says that this represents these 70 palm trees represents the 70 structures that that's a very nebulous uh kind of statement soon we'll see what that means now the B says you're talking about this number 70 but previously we've spoken in the B about the number 72 so what's the 70 how is 70 connected to 72 we'll see very soon what this means I know this is kind of out there but listen carefully and we'll see Al vhim they are 71 the number 70 and the number 72 are are related numbers because the number 70 always has connected to it two hidden numbers 71 and 72 71 is one force and 72 is a second Force Israel the people of Israel the Jewish people are the 71st Force the 72nd force is the force which he doesn't refer to directly as aik but it is what he's referring to we'll soon see B so now you have 70 which is the 70 nations of the world you have 71 which is the people of Israel you have 72 which is the people of amalik says the Mish that the number 71 and 72 the people of Israel and the people of amalik are not in included in the 70 meaning whenever you have the number 70 there's also a hidden 71 and 72 which are not included but are there okay so 70 and 72 are really the same number now so he says so again we said the number is 70 not 72 says the medish that the the one which is beyond 70 which is 71 is referring to the SAR the prince of the Satan which is a reference to the people of amik it's like we have an analogy to a King that had Sons he purchased or he acquired slaves he wanted to give out these slaves in an equal measure to all of them one of these Sons said one of these 70 actually Sons said any he WR he said I'm not interested in taking a portion because I have the ability to take everything I can steal everything from all of my brothers and then have everything I don't have to even receive a portion from you my father the king so the king says since that's how you're going to do it that's how you're going to be you will not have a portion amongst them because of your attitude now this son who said I can steal everything he did everything that he could and he went out and and he stood in Ambush on the path waiting for his brothers and he showed them a tremendous amount of gold and and precious stones and troops all this he said to his brothers come to me don't go to the king don't be with the King I'll give you everything what did the king do he he put all of his troops the troops of his sons he put them all in order all of them and he showed them these slaves which he had planned to give out to his sons and he said don't make a mistake or actually more accurately don't allow him to cause you to make a mistake thinking that he has more troops than I do so the other Sons The Brothers didn't know that the intent of this other this other brother was to steal everything the king says to them watch out his intent is to steal everything not to give you anything and the mes goes on to say that the king says to his sons don't follow after him don't make that mistake if you stick to me if you continue to stay on my side everything will be well if you fall in to his trap you'll lose everything in the end in the end I will win says the king to his sons and you will get everything that you're supposed to get but don't fall into the Trap of this other son now it's very important to understand that this medish is speaking about a mik and speaking about the Jewish people in a parallel way doesn't speak in the mush in the analogy directly about the people of Israel but in the analogy there's a hint to the Jewish people and there's a hint to what the Jewish people represent and what a Malik represents the Jewish people just like amik we are not part of the number the number 70 is the what represents the nations of the world we are not part of the number we're beyond that number amalik is also not part of the number they're beyond the number in a different way they're outside of the number as the Mish hints to as a medes in the analogy talks about the fact that this son is out of the paraa he doesn't have a portion of amongst the sons that represents the fact that he's outside he's a different aspect now we've spoken about in the past what is the concept of 70 what is 71 here we're giving getting to the number 72 which I've never really spoken about I don't believe in the past but the idea here is that the Jewish people are the 71st Nation as as B says about the Jewish people they are a a nation who dwells alone what that really means is that the Jewish people are the COO they are the all-inclusive aspect of the nations of the world Jacob also he has 70 children 70 come down with him to Egypt he is the 71st he's the one who includes that spiritual power of all of his children and grandchildren the Jewish people include the spiritual power of all of the 70 nations of the world so we are the one who is beyond as it were beyond the nations of the world we are the co we are the one who is all inclusive so we don't have a we don't have a portion amongst the Nations of the world because we are Transcendent we are beyond the nations of the world we're like the soul of the nations of the world now that's true on the side of good a mik is as it were the Soul on the side of evil of the nations of the world and so whatever the Jewish people are a Malik is on the side of evil it's like a distorted mirror image of the Jewish people that's what a mik is the Jewish people's job in the world is is to bring spirituality to the world to to cause a resonance between the spirituality that's inherent within all of the nations of the world to to to resonate to cause a resonance so that the the nations of the world indeed follow the spirituality that is within them through the guidance of the Jewish people or through the Jewish people bringing that spirituality into the world such that they can indeed tap into that and that's something that throughout history if you look deeply at history and you understand how spirituality and and the idea of one God has indeed trickled down to the nations of the world you all understand that this is indeed what has taken place now a mik's job on the side of evil is to cause the nations of the world to do evil it's to cause the nations of the world to do the opposite of whatever it says in the Torah if the Torah says be Chast have proper sexuality so the job of a m is to say to do the opposite to bring the nations of the world to do negative Acts if you want to know where amalik is you can find it very easily the Torah says do not kill the Torah says do not steal who are the ones that are walking around in the name of God doing that who's stealing and killing in the name of God that's where you'll find amalik the root of amalik is always those who are who are searching to to to defy God and it might even be in the name of God but they're defying God they don't have the proper balance as laid out in the Torah very clear example of a mik is is what happened in Germany in the 1930s the Nazis Hitler was the king of amalik as it were he was the king of amalik he came and said everything is by chance he said the Jewish people are those who have a conscience bring a conscience to the World We Must Destroy the Jewish people and that is the central theme of amalik We Must Destroy the Jewish people and the Jewish people's job is to destroy amalik it's this this the force and the counterforce in the world now what's really interesting and and where it gets uh intriguing is looking at a mik what you see is and what you see from this Mish that the Jewish people don't have a part of the nations of the world we are separate from the world and yet we are part of the world because we're there to be the conscience of the world so hasem takes the Jewish people God takes us and and spreads us out amongst the nations of the world and so we don't we we are part of and we're not part of we're we're separate even as we are connected to the nations of the world so that there can be a trickle down from the conscience of the Jewish people and and there can be a resonance with the conscience of the nations of the world now a mik is exactly the same on the side of evil you want to know where they are who is this nation of amalik where are they the answer is they're everywhere they trickle down and they're and and the their manifestation they manifest everywhere the German people was not a mik in the 1930s the Nazis were Hitler was because he was the one who had that power and he walked in to Germany which was at that time one of the most powerful nations of the 70 Nations and this is always true by the way it's always true this is what amalik does also you look at you look back to the story of Esther ham har Rasha hamon the evil one what did he do hon he came in and he he latched onto the power of of Iran of Persia that was his thing he was he who was he wasn't a king he wasn't anything he was a he was an adviser to the king but that's the power of amalik he latches on to something he he's not really part of he's not really he's something which is past the the Nations themselves but he latches on and he advises and he resonates with the evil that's there and he causes that he brings out the evil of the nations of the world that's who amalik is now just look if you think about this in the context of of what's going on in the world today if you want to know who amalik is and where the final showdown is going to take place what's going to happen right before Messiah comes I mean I'm not a navi I'm not a prophet I just know what it says in the mes I just know what it says in the Torah you want to know who it is look at who are the ones just like amalik wanted to prevent the Jewish people from walking into the land of Israel because the Jewish people walking into the land of Israel means that we are the ones who are going to rule the world with spirituality we are the ones who are going to bring a conscience to the world we are the on who are going to resonate with with the good of the 70 nations of the world and cause bring out that good bring that out of the 70 nations of the world who are the ones that stop it's the amalik right so who are the ones today who want to stop the progress of the Jewish people in the land of Israel who are not interested in allowing the Jewish people to have our own country are not ready for the Jewish people to expand spiritually and physically in the land of Israel you look at the ones who are talking about stopping that you know that's aik look at the ones who are talking about wiping the Jewish people the land of Israel off the map that is a mik those are the ones who there's going to be a final showdown with and you know there has to be the Jewish people have to destroy amalik it's it's a little bit chilling it's a little bit scary but that's that's if you read it and you put it the pieces together that's what it sounds like that's what it seems like now the amazing thing is that with this idea what you see is that Germany is not Iran Persia is not aik but aik latches on just like hamon as we said just like ham latched onto Persia in that time because Persia was a powerful Empire amik latches on in a place which is powerful it could be in America it could be in Europe it could be in Iran it could be anywhere it could be in North Korea am Malik's power is ego is the opposite of whatever the tyus says the opposite of spirituality and resonating with that and bringing that out to the point of trying to destroy the spirituality that the Jewish people represent and the progress of the Jewish people in the land of Israel as long as the Jewish people are in the land of Israel when we return here it represents the return of the Mal Shak the kingdom of God now how does this apply to us where does this touch touch us in our lives because we can look at the news and I have to be honest with you guys I haven't looked at the news in about a month I have heard little strands of what's going on but the news doesn't work for me it doesn't help me in my spirituality doesn't help me in my life it just makes me feel depressed so how does this stuff affect us in our lives what are we supposed to take out of this I think that the answer is that it's important to see that Hashem made this force and this counter Force the Jewish people brings out the goodness the resonates with the goodness of the nations of the world and that's true for each and every one of us on our individual level we need to to attach ourselves to the Jewish people we need to attach ourselves to our conscience to the T to God to those who represent t to the Torah Scholars to those who know the will of God and are trying to bring that out in the world and we need to look and notice where the forces of evil the force of amalik the force of negativity within us individually and outside of us in the entire world we need to see that yes there's an incredible power in liberalism which is aik there's an incredible power which is trying to pull down the world world cause a degradation in the morality of the world we need to know that that's something that we need to get away from we need to attach ourselves to goodness to Tyra to God's will the more that we attach ourselves to God's will the the more that we bring that Resonance of goodness into the world the more that we attach ourselves to that the more the more we're connected to God the more that we attach ourselves to a mik to the negativity to the opposite of hashem's word explicitly there's nothing extra in the Tyra there's no way of explaining away what the Tyra says in regards to anything the tah says what it means because this is what Hashem knows is good for us and this is true spirituality and and when a person is truly resonating with that part of themselves they know that that's true when a person has been sucked in by a mik they know that the opposite is true they know that what the Torah says is not true heaven forbid and so that depends on who we attach ourselves to both on a personal level on a on a national level but also within ourselves are we attaching ourselves to our to the good part of ourselves or to the negative side of ourselves it's an incredible challenge it is the challenge of today to side with spirituality with the Jewish people with with t with God or to side with amalik and the degradation drawn in and not resonate with the evil which is represented by amalik should help us to see the destruction of amalik in our times at every level so that we should be a we should Merit to see the David and from Yehuda will will appear and their their kingship will be for all time and it will bring the kingship of God into the world such that we will all be connected to him we will all have
