We say every shabas morning and dvening moherenu rejoiced with the gift the portion the gift that he got. What gift did Rabenu get that he rejoiced that he was happy with? Interesting. Interesting. Half about halfway through in the poem, Shabas starts complaining to the Evan Ezra, why is it that you're not respecting me? And he goes on how terrible it is. So Evan Ezra in his dream asks back, "I don't understand. You're saying that I don't respect Shabas." The way Evanzra says, you know, the Rambam says that before the Shabas, you're supposed to be wait for Shabas. Had Evan Ezra says, "I prepared for Shabas. I was Shabasik Shabas." What do you mean to say that I'm disrespectful to Shabas? That's what Evan Ezra in his dream asked back either to the or kind of to the letter that he got the poem that Shabas was writing to him. Why you not respecting me? So Shabas responded and said that you have a safer in your house from a different from the from a friend of yours that is when it says in paras what does it mean was night then in the morning it became The had a hope to explain that the day actually starts from the morning. Somebody actually told me that there's a restaurant that gives a promotion if you turn your phone off when you go into the restaurant. Why? Because they want you should have a good experience. They want you to have a good experience. To be present, you have to be you have to do what you're doing. You go on a trip for an example to be bring to illustrate the concept. You go on a trip. So these two these two ways that you could when you go on a trip, these two ways. one way you're on the trip and while you're bike riding you're making the calls to book dinner and when you buy dinner you're booking tomato reservation to go here you're always on the next thing so you're not present or when what you're doing now you're doing now afterwards we'll figure out I'm not saying not to be organized you could plan the whole trip but what you're doing to be present what you're doing cla would have never been able to take this message you olan on the fly on the way out to work on the way back to work. It wouldn't be possible. The only way that Claudia was able to accomplish this being present was only only by by shabas. They stopped work. They were able to they were able to connect. He picked up that when Clius had a day off, they weren't just resting and sleeping and working better. Could be that's true. It could be they worked better, but what bothered them was that when they took that day off, they were able to connect, connect, believe, not to break them. [snorts] I just want to quote the speak. But what did he want with them? To work harder, to work harder. They should sweat more. They should work harder physically. No. Their heart is from any thoughts. How would he take away their thoughts? By making them work harder and more. There will be no time, no breathing time to think, to to to stop, to pause of what they want to accomplish. The takeaway from this discussion, we say it every shabas and ding. Even if you just think for a minute, what was the gift that moherenu got? Of course, par was the one who gave him the day off. But you know what? Mohenu got got off stop Clrol that Shabas is a day that we could stop especially in today's day everybody with the phone it's ringing and it's a busy everyone's busy if you're not busy it's a little bit of a problem everybody's busy that's just the reality with the job and your kusa and learning and dabbing and your kids and all different events everyone's busy so for starters Shabas is a perfect time at some point during Shabas to be able to stop, be present, think what am I doing on this world, what am I here for? Be present and whatever whatever you want to accomplish just to be present. And that could actually not only be shabas, it could help a person a lesson throughout the week as well. Also, a person davins. You turn your phone off and by daving, you're present. If a person doesn't daven for an hour, it's a half hour. But a person's present. When he davins, he's present. person's spending time with his kids. When he's spending time with them, he's present. And when a person's present, what he's doing, he's doing it right.
