Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Community Leaders, Rabbis ask everyone to Help FREE JACOB OSTREICHER

I I can't tell people how important it is that all of us make the connection to the White House on behalf of uh Jacob Astraker. I just got off the phone with him for a half hour and after listening to him, the pain that came across from Bolivia from this prison where his life might be in danger, his life might be in danger. We have to wake up and do whatever we can. And the one thing that everybody can do is make the connection to the White House. Email the White House. Call the White House. There is no reason in the world that tens of thousands of people should not be doing that immediately. Every single person has to think of Jacob Arrier as if he was your father, your grandfather. What would you do for your father if he was in Bolivia right now in a prison and his life was in danger? What would you do? Would you wait? Would you think about it? Make believe. You have to feel this way that it's your father, your grandfather, and you have to act. You have to do you have to do what I'm asking you to email the White House, to call the White House. And there are going to be other things that we're going to ask you to do. a Jew is in trouble and you have to do you have to act now. You cannot wait till tomorrow. We're talking we're a few days away from Shus. A few days away. It's going to be one year that he's in jail. One year. 365 days. 24 hours in a day in a prison that you can't even begin to imagine how dangerous his situation is. So everybody, you must act now. Whatever sh you're part of whatever you're involved in, you have to mobilize people. It's not just you doing something. Ask your rub, what are we doing? Is the the shul that you davin in? They should be saying to him, there are a lot of different things that we can do to appeal to Hashem that Hashem should answer our prayers that he should be brought back home here to Burough Park to his wife, to his children, to his grandchildren. Instead, he is literally living in a gem. I would like to ask everybody who ever can to do efforts in order to free a person Mr. Estra who is sitting in jail for over 11 months for no reason for no crime here what he has committed he never committed a crime therefore please I'm asking everybody to help to free you know as as to free a person who is in jail who is who is not free to free him and help him to get free and And we are as soon as possible. as America is all really really the for is [Music] the petition. Good evening, Rabbi Glance. Good evening. I came to hear a few words of support for um Yankee Astriker free Jacob now about signing the petitions and on and on. Yes, I don't think this cause needs any major introduction. And first of all, Pion Shim is something that is the greatest mitzvah that anybody can ever choose to get involved with. And in this particular case with Jacob Ostriker, you're talking about that innocent man, a wealthy businessman who went to invest money in Bolivia innocently got over there in order to save his money because he was notified at some point that his investment might be in jeopardy. And he winded up being a scapegoat from the government because their intentions is to steal off all his money, all his property and let him just fall till that takes him unfortunately. And I just want to tell you this individual besides every Jew that is in jail is a great mitzvah to get him out. Even if you do not know his background at all, but in this particular case, I happen to know Yankee Estraa very well. This man has a heart of gold. And when he was here in America, in the free world for these many years, he never never missed visiting people in jail. He was a steady visitor in Noticeville in jail just to make people happy, just to ease their pain, just to assist their families. He would take his time to visit families if anybody from their loved ones were incarcerated just to find out if they need anything, if it's anything that he can help. I can go on and on. I just don't want to keep your time. I just want to ask everybody. This is the greatest mitzvah that anybody can ever have. just to be ready. Do anything and everything that the asconum of the royer will advise you to do. Of course, everything has to be done with a general. Not everybody can act as a general. We all have to be the soldiers. We have to be the people available to do anything and everything that is necessary in order to regain Yankee Estra's freedom. And will grant us all the for and uh stress and and emails and uh sign of petitions. Respect for human beings. Respect. for the community was a tri alert and elected officials and under uh departments and and the state department citizen respectful way emails elected officials. Good evening, Rabbi Frammoritz. give me um a few words of support to the people that work so hard to free Jacob Astra. Good evening. Um, I was brought up as a Talmud or disciple of the scholarb and the mitzvah of is part of my lifeline. Um, that's that's what we knew about that what he was he gave his life for. in Europe and in Russia and in Romania at no cost was too high a sacrifice to redeem a Jewish person out of jail notwithstanding whatever he was there for. That's that's not us to judge. There's only one judge that judges that the judge of all judges. Uh therefore it's in in the Jewish blood and in everybody's one of the most priorities in their good deeds what they need to have for themselves is this good deed of redeeming a prisoner out of prison even though he's guilty of whatever he is. This Mr. Jacob Asher is not guilty at all. He's only guilty of trying to make a living and investing in a far away land. Maybe he shouldn't have gone there, but that's the facts of life. He did go there. He's a breadwinner for his family. He also is a very wellto-d do person that did a lot of uh outreach and did help other people and that also costs money. So here is a man that invested his own money to to make some money for himself, his family and Claudius. And for some reason, the Bolivian government has decided that they want a share of it also. Maybe not only a share, maybe all of it. And the easiest thing is to throw a Jew into jail. Maybe nobody's going to care and nobody's going to even know about it. Well, that's not true. We're here and we're gonna do whatever we could and we should do whatever we could and we must do whatever we could to make sure that we can do everything in our power to liberate Jacob Astra. I urge all fellow people who have a heart and should remember that here is a man who is a family man has a wife and children and a lot of friends and neighbors that are waiting for him a long long time almost a year that he's incarcerated without any charges even they haven't made up their mind yet what he really did wrong because he did nothing wrong. Lived all my life in Williamsburg and I have a little I'm a little familiar with the para with story with uh Jacob Estraer. My personal opinion in this is a travis of justice and the message is very clear not only to the Bolivian government. The message should be coming across to our state senators that we voted in and all of a sudden we email them. We trying to get through to them. We get zero respond. And I think it's time they should wake up. We have somebody in Bolivia that is a United States citizen. Who's going to protect them if not our senators? So, I'm begging you, please free Yankee.
