I will include your uh those who we are
adopting for on the list especially for
my wonderful father-in-law
Ben
Russ who is hospitalized now in Montreal
Sh. Okay, we're waiting, anxiously
waiting news. Uh today is a very
important day. We are inching towards
Shivasu Batamos. In other words,
Shabbasa Batamas will actually take
place in a week in uh even a little bit
uh yeah,
we're right there. We're right there and
we enter therefore the 3-week period
period of time which traditionally has
been a time of uh mates and the word sar
which means both restricted and painful
for the Jewish people. This was a time
where our spiritual powers and
protection was not at our peak. But we
may be seeing a dramatic change that
will begin the promised transformation
of these three weeks from Shabbasa Bamos
all the way through tishab
to be transformed into their full
potential as moade demon. In other
words, they're going to flip.
These days are not sad days of
permanence. They're not days of mourning
permanently. Quite the opposite. They're
days of destruction because it's
unrealized potential.
Much like nebah if a child is lost in
the birthing process. So the loss is
much more than the loss of of a small
baby. It's the loss of that entire
possibilities that everything that child
could have been done married produced
families learned Torah done mitzvah.
It's a massive loss because it the
potential was never allowed to be
articulated. So the same thing with the
three weeks. It's very much
a time of historical travail for the
Jewish people, but it is like a moshiach
travail. It's like a birthing process.
And of course it is our belief that
these days and the sideshwaram tell us
as well will parallel the most joyous
three weeks of the year which begin in
the fish
beginning with uh rash and where we're
confident in our den and our protection
of hashem and the rahim of hashem and we
promise if we do that we will see be
written in the book of life and that
culminates in the most joyous day of all
sim Torah which of course is been the
main topic or the experience of the
Jewish people for the last uh almost
what's coming up on two years
to Torah was flipped from a day of
incredible joy
into a day of of uh into a tishov that
would mean the coral corollary of that
would be that if Hashem would do that
would allow that to happen in his hash
would allow our enemies to do that to
us. That might be a signal that the
reverse is going to be not far behind.
In other words, that we're going to
transform
tishabove into somehow. This was
something that was said at the beginning
of the wars, but now we may be starting
to see developments which indicate that
things are being flipped. Now in in
order to develop this idea with you, I
want to go into last week's para
and and analyze
what happened at the in the 40th year of
the Jews journey in Erit Israel. Much is
told us to us about the first two years
of the journey. Almost nothing is told
between tishabove of year two which is
the story of the moragim. again
tishabove and it ends there because at
that point there's a decree that there
will be no
further attempts for this generation to
enter the land of Israel and although
they tried probably shortly after tishab
then they were beaten back by the
amalikites and the canananim at that
time in other words and Mosher Rabenu
refused to support those efforts and I
explained a little bit about why not why
wouldn't he if they doing cha and last
week she but if tishabove is like uh I
hate to use this analogy the last train
stop and when a Jew thinks of a train
stop we know what we're thinking about
the trains that brought us to death and
destruction as a collective whole that
was the last stop on the train for that
generation really although they were
rehabilitated and allowed to remain
alive and reach some sort of tquin
However, there was was decreed upon them
the decree of death that they all
600,000 of the male household leaders or
warriors from age 20 to age 50. If you
left mitim and you were 20 years old or
49 or 50 years old, you perished in the
midbar. We're going to see with one not
so minor exception.
So what the para did last week was veer
off from year year um two in which we
got an unusual message of the paraduma
paraduma the mystery of life and death.
The idea that life can be given as life
is withdrawn. This some sort of death
mystery which we have to explore a
little bit was the stamp on that
generation. So it's almost bookends with
the story from the last um the last
episodes of this past week's para of the
40th year. So let's review the events of
the 40th year.
Um
the story began
with a complaint
as it usually does. Okay. So let's take
a look at parasukas. It says
Israel
this is perk
20th chapter in the book of midbar
now I want to show you actually where
midbar sin it's the zin desert okay so I
do have a map here
but here you'll find si
okay and the Jews have been wandering
there around for 38 8 years and dying at
the rate of 15,000 a year because that's
600,000
times the 40 years is 15,000 Jews would
disappear each year. How they would dig
their graves on Tishab. How appropriate.
The day that the zera came down and
every year everybody got up but 15,000.
So at this point there were 15,000
Jews left of that generation. That's
exactly how many Jews remained. Plus, of
course, the women and children, the
elderly men or the younger children, and
of course, the leaders Moshe, Aaron, and
Miriam.
So, this is the Sinai Peninsula. This is
what's known as Midbar Pan. This area is
associated, by the way, with Yeshua, who
is Peram. Notice PF.
And then we move north to Midbartine,
an area that we're kind of pretty much
familiar with. It's way north of a lot.
It's within Israel proper, you'll see
the cities of Atsmona. And then not far
from Yamaha, Nin runs right to me. And
here were the Jews, okay? Ready to go
into throw out. They had to get to a
hayard.
Okay. Uh this is Yamamel Melik over
here. They had to move north, but Adam
would not let them cross. So they had to
go all the way around all the way around
the bottom here. And they find
themselves eventually entering Eritil
here. But it was a fortunate problem
because it brought them into two unique
lands.
lands that were forbidden to the Jewish
people to conquer those of our relative
Lot who's from Moab. Ammon
uh is the other brother. These are the
children of Lot and they're relatives.
And he had a that he didn't speak about
Moshe didn't about Aram. He didn't rat
out Aram to the authorities when he said
to parro this is my sister and not my
wife. And he kept quiet and he was
richly rewarded. He was richly rewarded
to be able to hold on to two massive
land masses o on the other side of the
Jordan River uh till were ready to be
conquered and uh they were part of the
conquest of Moshe and they were they
remained at and it continued to be the
conquest of Davidid. So let me just
explain.
All
of Jordan is included in the Mosha's
kibush.
All
of Syria is included in Moshe's kibbush.
So the entire Jordan. Okay. So from the
um
from the other side
from just uh
you know in the lands of Sikhon and Og
because Son had come to conquer and take
away from Moav
uh his territory which allowed us to
step in. In other words, once our
relatives were pushed off the land, we
were no longer restricted to get that
land back because we were theim. We were
the other part of the mishbaka and
therefore we are. So it was a very
fortunate event that Edom pushed us in
this direction way out of the way
because we had to encounter these two
kings
and Moabashan.
And since they had confiscated the lands
of uh a portion of the lands of Moab and
um and they taken over that area a yard,
we were able to reclaim it to the
battles of Moshe that were recounted in
the battles of the 40th year. But that's
not the whole story.
It's a little bit quizzical then why in
this current week's para all of a sudden
Moab and Midyong get all bent out of
shape about Israel's arrival. We don't
have designs on the land of Moab only on
the portion of Moab that was already no
longer in their hands
and then comes along
uh Balok who's not even from Moab. He's
a Midionite and they put him in charge
and he starts consulting with Bam on how
to spiritually remove the Jewish people
because military option wasn't working
and we don't really understand. I mean I
think it's a very valid question
the in this events of the 40th year.
Okay. Then why was Moab so scared that
they brought in Boak? So they said that
they
kazal tell us that they had knocked off
and og who were the protectors of the
land. In other words, they were the I I
like to use this uh you know liberally.
They were the if the eye of the evil was
in Moab and to a certain extent Midion
right the proxies
were
much like we're seeing in this past year
and a half the proxies getting wiped out
by Jewish forces. Amazing. I read
something just today that I was
shocking. It described
um the the actual situation in Gaza, the
ultimate proxy of Kamas that the clans
that you know the way Arab life really
works is very not western. They have
tribal as much as we do. These are
roots, tribal roots. It means that they
have a shik, a sheh uh who is in charge
of a village. It might be a few thousand
people and he rules the roost. He's the
uh ultimate authority religiously,
civily, monetarily.
And he controls and his family, his clan
becomes a bigger clan, a bigger clan.
And then then there are other clans that
they can want to do be compete
with them.
But these are these little emirates. In
fact, the news was in both and in Gaza
they want and this is a wonderful
development at least initially that
these clans
they've tribal clans they want to create
an emirate emirate confederation that's
what u the emirates is it's a bunch of
clans who all work together as one
ruling entity but it's the shik that
represent
each clan or leaders of each clan
working with the other clans, little
mini states, little mini mini um you
know uh I would call them counties
almost you know of a bigger picture and
of course that means that kamas cannot
utilize its brutality its evil its evil
way of making money and subjugating and
tormenting people through threat theft
drug abuse intimidation murder and all
and as we're feeding them
But the clans will feed their own
people. This is a humongous development.
So it mirrors in the para actually the
disappearance of Son and Og was a dis
was actually if you really want to know
um they were considered the proxies that
would protect countries like Midan and
Moav from the Jewish people. Now, they
may not have realized that Israel had no
designs on Moab's remaining property or
on Midian's property. After all, Midan
is Mishba. That's the land of Yro, the
Canaanim. Not bad guys. At least the
descendants of Yro who may not have been
there already. Okay. But we don't want
that area. That area is not yet deemed
to be ours. And yet and yet they
terrified with the ascent of Israel. So
let me explain deeper why it was not an
issue of conquest and territory
because otherwise they would have hired
another army.
What they wanted to do, what Bum and
Balak wanted to do, we talk about this
perhaps more next week, is
is replacement theology is in the eyes
of God to to transform Israel to just
another nation.
And they brought the sacrifices. All
those sacrifices, by the way, did bear
fruit for them. Don't think that they
were nothing.
and eventually um their their designs
are foiled. In other words, the
supremacy of God's choice of the Jewish
people. No matter what our faults are,
no matter our vulnerable points, they
tried to look at different things. They
tried to look at our family holiness.
They tried to look at our the roots of
our ancestors. Maybe they wanted to
claim that Yakov stole the braos or
things along those lines. They they
bodeic every angle of our of our history
of our reality of our formation. Bum was
and couldn't find anything wrong because
Hashem would not allow him even to
identify that one little moment
microscond of anger as explains that bum
tried to connect to say there is one
moment of hashem boils angry against the
Jewish people but it's so small and it's
so negligible and then during the period
that bum was trying to make the trying
to make the curses it was nellum hashem
canceled it for those days they were
cancelled okay I've already made
So the theme of the 40th year really is
the removal of the proxies
and clearing away the last obstacles
for kibos.
So this should be very encouraging to
us. Some people say, "Well, we're
entering tamos. It's the three weeks.
It's not our time." But I would respond,
"Let's wait and see." Because we've seen
the transformation of some Torah into
perhaps we're about to see a tremendous
tremendous next chapter to our victory.
uh the victory of of of vanishing the
balak and bams the true enemies of the
Jewish people who seek to destroy us and
replace us. Okay. So to that end let's
examine
uh the story of those people who some
survived and some didn't survive in the
course of the 40th year. So remember we
started last week's para with with the
paraduma the mystery of conquering life
and death. Nobody could really fathom
it. Nobody could really understand the
connection between life and death. The
line that crosses between them is very
narrow. Uh death can be viewed as a
rebirth.
liberation of the soul from the body and
that's really a birth on the other and
Khazal tell us you should really make a
party at the end of life not at the
beginning of life because at the end of
life the ship arrives and and the soul
the soul is redeemed from its body and
is now shining brightly and ganed and
you can dam for it continuously and give
sodaka and say kadesh and all these
wonderful things so that's really the
party on the other hand when a child is
born into the world we send we we tend
to say maz
even though that child has a long and
painful journey perhaps in his parents
too. Uh and yet we rejoice. So what is
really this mystery of life and death?
It's setting the tone for an incredibly
profound lesson. So here we go. In that
year, Miriam passes away in last week's
para on the 10th day of Nissan.
Literally just 10 years into the final
year. The water stops. the people
complain. There's the issue of May
Mariva and what that causes is the
guaranteed death of Moshe and Aon
through May Mariva through the mistake
of hitting the rock as opposed to
speaking to the rock. We can't get into
that right now. Why Moshe did it or was
Mosha to be criticized for doing it? Um
basically you could just understand
that the model of Moshe, Aaron and
Miriam which was completely above the
taba. Moshe of course abregated all the
laws of nature by performing the
miracles of Hashem. Aron was able to
clutch the Malik Hamas and stop from a
terrible plague, a terrible Mafa
and um
in the in Pares Korak and Miriam of
course drew Moshe out of the water. This
baby why the gift of water was hers and
she sings Shiraayam and she's all
associated with life-giving water and
she disappears. But do the waters
completely disappear? They're restored
by Mosha. Next at the very end of the
para fast forward to av roh a is the
death of aaron
and immediately the para tells us amalik
comes to strike because the anonavode
have disappeared or the anonim have
disappeared. One of his explained there
were two types of of clouds. one were
called anonym. These were the clouds of
protections against snakes and scorpions
and so and the like and molec for that
matter. And then there was something
called the which escorted the Jewish
people in a majestic fashion. Bosed
in one of his that not all the clouds
disappear just the clouds of glory. But
there's one issue with that is that we
do know that Cla Israel were bitten by
snakes and scorpions immediately upon
the death of Aon. We had two dramatic
encounters. One was the war with Amalik
in which one Jewish woman was captured
hostages. Again, incredible how the
themes overlap. We're trying to get out
the last hostages. So were the Jewish
people this week. And they had to wage a
war against the Malik. But that war with
Amalik had to come with an understanding
that Hashem is in charge of the war that
it was about Hashem's cavode and a
Israel's covote and not about personal
military or political considerations and
they prayed and they offered nadarum
which they didn't do when they tried
forcefully after the to go up. There
were no vows. There were no nud. But
here they vowed that everything that
they would get from a malik would be
donated to Hashem.
And they were successful in releasing
this hostage in a military operation.
Halvai. Halv. Halvai. And they were all
saved. Halv. Halai. That should be the
ending of everything. should be just
without releasing terrorists, without uh
cowtowing to the whims of the murderers
of Gaza of of Kamas, which literally is
the sin that sealed the fate of the Dora
Mabble. And this is what the level they
have demonstrated themselves to be on
utter deprivation as witnessed by the
fact that on October 7th they're now
going to release the the physical
depravity and the mutilation and uh
rape, hatred, and wounding of Jewish
women in the most cruel fashion that
begs of the generation of the mom. Now
we're in that predicament but it's clear
from the para at least one thing
that snakes did arrive and let's just
look at that um second. So we learned
that
uh Miriam's death was beginning of perov
was in Nissan and then we have the
problem of Mayariva.
Okay. And and it's the tweet against
Mosha Aron that you'll never go into
Israel. And ironically I truly believe
that without Miriam I don't think Aaron
and Moshe had a chance to go into
Israel. She's the heroine. She's the one
that guided literally saved Moshe from
death. She was the one who really gave
our own instructions in life. Uh
probably wasn't possible without the
triumvirate of the the three brothers
and the two brothers and the sister. But
now
comes Kamishi which is perac
and they get from Kadesh to Horhar
and Hahar
is the place where where Aon meets his
death although it's the death of of a
kiss of an ishika still the people
mourned him for 30 days and what we say
and that means that the entire month of
Adar the whole entire month
all the way to Roshesh El which is a
time where kadusha
el the 40-day period of elamiper
that's our time that's the time Mosheren
went up to receive the Torah it's
liberated from all the mates it's
already fully on a spiritual level that
time has been sanctified whereas we're
still waiting for especially starting
the 15th of Tamos but even perhaps
foresh
you Okay, that tam was until tuba those
six weeks and we even grabbed the last
two weeks of Av in a spiritual sense and
transformed them into the gula which is
the biggest proof that tishab will al
also be transformed which is less than a
week away.
So
must flip as Shabbas must flip from a to
Simhan. But
the problem is in that last year
immediately
um
the Amalakis come to attack.
Okay. So they were vulnerable to war as
an absence as I'll say of the of the
ananim of the ananim of protection. And
the next thing that happens is that they
try to cross over Adome which is asov
excuse me
excuse me what happened was is that
Aon's death was preceded by their
attempt to cross Edon and there were two
attempts one was what Moshe and Aron
suggested Derek Hamel
that's King's highway comes from there
Derek Hamela in Brooklyn for you guys
from
Let's go to king's highway. We will not
interact with even one person of Edom.
Not even one. We will we'll just take
water from the king and his and his and
his malus and his emissaries and that's
it. We won't bother him. We're not
interact with your population one bit.
But then there was a second suggestion
and this suggestion caused according to
Khaz the exact the death of Aaron. Okay,
this is what happened.
The first idea was
we're not going to go into your fields
and territories and your vineyards.
We're not going to take from your
natural water sources.
We'll stay on King's Highway.
That was the the
sent by Mosher. Okay.
We can't hold ourselves back. If you're
going to be here, we're going to attack
you if you enter our land. Then comes
the second idea which mo had nothing to
do with this.
Who is they? The people of Israel, the
leaders of Israel Israel.
I have an idea. Okay. You don't like the
king's highway idea? Let's go through
the mountains, through the mountainous
paths.
We're going to go by way of of uh little
uh pathways, trails.
We're going to be by your by your water
sources, your natural water sources, and
we'll buy the water from the people.
Okay?
We'll buy water from the common folk.
Rock a dar.
All right.
we'll pay for it.
If I'm going to take anything, I'll pay
for it. So, this second suggestion was
wiser than Moshe's suggestion. Perhaps
they felt that somehow, you know,
marching through the Deramel was was not
good. But sneaking through the paths as
if he could sneak those millions of
people. But if we go through the
territory and we don't violate the
king's authority on the on king's
highway, let's do that immediately.
motion our own dies. Why? So some
suggest that their very desire to mingle
intimately with the entire population of
Edom as they passed through buying from
them selling from them would would have
caused a tremendous spiritual
destruction.
And here Aron's whole goal was to keep
peace between people, keep those clouds
of glory there.
Now I must just digress for one second.
Though I do marriage now, marriage
therapy among other things, unlike
anything else, I've seen wonderful
successes and
other cases in which the best success
was uh not to continue. And inevitably,
inevitably
the pain that's caused by people by
silly harmful words, lack of
appreciation and character put downs
ultimately is usually the makabes. It
could be more serious stuff and that's
not really a question. Deep serious
emotional problems um and financial and
honesty and trust. Okay, there are many
reasons why a relationship can be
challenged and failed, but often it's
just those
small attacks, those small but hurtful
words that will disintegrate what
otherwise might be a strong
relationship. so pathetic, so bad that
it comes down to unkind words, biting
words, sarcastic words, words of hatred,
words of minimizing and ridiculing. Just
have to understand that's what Auron's
job was. He's to go from one to the
other and say, "No, they really love
you. They're not critical of you. You
think they're criticizing you all day
long and telling you what you what a so
and so you are. No, it's not true. They
love you. They're just a little bit
embarrassed. And that was Aaron's
greatness. Aram was deeply concerned
that there would be
a terrible spiritual downfall of the
Jewish people if they took this
ridiculous approach filled with
spiritual dangers of learning, learning,
interacting, perhaps even marrying,
perhaps even falling into illicit
illicit things like would like what
would happen with later with with the
Mijon and Moab.
So Aaron dies
dies and fuzzal tell us at the very
beginning of the para why did Miriam die
and you could say the same reason why
Aaron died and why Moshe died because
misadikim
the death of a righteous person will
bring kapara he was the price that saved
the Jewish people from this path to
oblivion amazing now that takes place on
the first day of of
first day of the nine days as it were
appropriate and fitting. But then
something else happens and here's where
I want to draw a major lesson and a
hopeful lesson for where we're at today.
So let's just regroup before we go
deeper into it. We have seen that the
Torah skips from the 38 from the second
year which is a story of tishab
essentially to the 38th year which also
is a story of of because that's the
second death the death of death of Aon
which was predicated was predicted in
the very beginning of the year in Nissan
when Miriam dies and the the tragic
incident of May Mariva dooms Moshan Aron
from entering in the 40th year but
here's where it actually moves forward
that Aron passes away. A mullik first
comes to attack, right? The clouds of
glory are compromised. But then
something else also happened.
They
they got another
issue
after the death of Arm besides Amalik.
Okay.
in Pericafal of Pasukdalid after the
battle with the successful battle by the
way with Amalik eliminating proxies as
it were
and not yet
they leave the place of Aaron's death
and they're traveling uh in the wrong
direction really
they said we're so disappointed we
weren't able to go through the land of
Edom Now we got to take this long trip
around. Very disappointed.
They shouldn't be disappointed. The
disappointment costed them the life of
iron and his protections.
Moshe. Now who's left? Moshe can be the
target. And
all we can do is walk in the midbar. Why
do they think they're going to die?
Because there's compromised.
There's no natural bread.
There's no natural water that they were
hoping to get.
We're tired of eating mom. We're tired
of being spiritual angels.
And then what happens?
[Music]
They were bitten by these which means a
burning venomous snake and which bite
like literally and cause death maybe in
a longer period of time and they come
running to Mosheu
and Moshe is told to put up a copper
snake. Couldn't be more couldn't be more
not understandable. It's the book end
with Parasukas's
beginning. The beginning and ends
bookend because paraduma makes no sense
to the human mind. And similarly, what
sense does it make to stare at a snake,
a copper snake, and how is that going to
be different? Let Mosha Davenin for them
that we've heard. Let Hashem perform a
miracle for them that we've heard. But
to contemplate and meditate on a copper
snake, why? What is that? What is the
point of that? And the Mishna itself in
Russ asks the same question. He says
look at that that image of the snake and
I'm going to live and I'm going to die.
What's what what is Mishna saying? They
were
it caused them to subjugate their hearts
and willingly do. What? Why? What about
that indicates? Okay. So to this point,
what I'd like to suggest
is as follows.
Who were the people that were bitten by
the snakes?
Who were the people that complained? So
some of the forums suggest that these
were the last 15,000 people that knew
that they were going to die in the
Midbar. Maybe their hopes were smashed.
Maybe they thought as long as Aaron was
alive, they stood a chance of surviving
the final tishov. Now that Aaron dies on
Roshes of
and the derk becomes a hard one and it
is in the first days of the month of
they start to complain and what do they
really say? What do they really say?
Why llama?
Why did you take us mitud
midbar? Excuse me. Not every they took
you out of mit to die in the desert.
Excuse me. Everybody here is going to
live except you guys. You only So these
were the guys apparently one could
suggest that they were saying why' you
bother with us? Why did you bother
shleing us so far just to die in the
desert? We were on the verge of making
it through. We survived every dig. We're
another 15,000. We all dug graves and
15,000 stayed in their graves. Every
single dig. And we made it till the very
last year. Is this fair that we're going
to die in the very last year? We were
tasting it. We were about to enter
Israel to the to the territory of Edom.
We could have just gone missa. Maybe
they want maybe they were the ones who
suggested this and says, "Let's get
through it by natural means. Let's not
let me not associate myself with the
Midbar people. Maybe they've done Chuva
for 40 years."
They see no no dice. We're going back to
the midbar and they said we're doomed.
150 of us were doomed.
But they weren't doomed.
What happened was a miraculous thing.
What I'd like to suggest as we overlap
the stories from Kinus about the the
hund about how on tub the lastund 15,000
people lived and did survive. But why
did they survive here? They're convinced
they're going to die. But Moshe did
something interesting. He put up the
snake. I would like to suggest
that the primary recipients of that
raffua were the 15,000. The other people
didn't nearly need it and I don't think
that they were the ones that were the
subject of the biting
and is a symbol of death. On the other
hand, it's a symbol of wisdom and
medicine. Everybody knows that the kadus
which is the image of healing of do of
medicine is a snake. Why? Because the
same venom that will kill a person can
be made into an antidote to cure against
the venom. Amazing thing the nesh is not
totally evil. It depends on what you use
it for. It can cause death but it can
also protect from death using the
knowledge science technology and of
course our spiritual powers as well.
Medicine connected with which is what
the essence of bnum is and Mrs. Rafua to
overcome the challenge of death. And by
putting that snake up there, he was
telling them, listen, you don't have to
be afraid of death. It's not
inescapable.
And similar to the to the paradum at the
very beginning of the para, the at the
very end of the para book and this
concept of the ability, we do have a
possibility of extended life.
him and eternally he gave them the that
the to some total story of illness,
death and disease
or death penalties of that come to
people war starvation etc etc doesn't
necessarily mean they cannot be overcome
and this that it to believe that the
could be
you know by the way in the Israeli
medical s they used a kaducus. They have
the snake wrapped around the staff.
That's exactly the point. Moshe took a
mata and turned it into a nahash and
turned it back into a mata. The mata
that created miracles and saved the
Jewish people. Same thing. It's either a
mate or a nahash. It's ei mystery of
paraduma. It brings death brings it
saves us from tuma and it creates tuma.
How could that same stick of Mosher
Rabenu that brought all the miracles
turn into a snake?
And the answer is there are certain
things that remove us from Hashem's
mercy. One of them being the primary one
being lash. If we don't judge other
people favorably, why should Hashem
judge us favor? So lashar is the number
one protection against judgments being
imposed upon us. But it is possible. And
every person who's not well, every
person who's been wounded emotionally,
physically, spiritually
can stare at the copper snake of Moshe.
There's two words used there.
Saraf and I like to suggestim
uh is akin to the angels. It saysim
that's eternal life. They can either
beim and in fact Hashem's instructions
to Moshe would put up put up angels know
that there's a healing that can come
from above with
we say
to domining for the help and the
blessing of holy people and for holy
people and for Israel and form it does
have power to grant life. There's been
many medical miracles. There are medical
miracles by the thousands throughout the
world. We don't understand the mystery
of that who shall live and who shall die
necessarily. It's not so scientific. It
depends. It depends on the spiritual
state. Moshe by putting up the copper
snake was giving a message to them. You
think it's a nahash, but it's really a
saraf. Remember, you have an eternal
soul
and you can live. If you came this far
and you did so much chuva that Hashem
left you alive until the 40th year
there's a way that you can live and sure
enough comes tish a few days later I
would suggest and they're in their
graves they get up
die we didn't die not on not on the
night of the 9th not on the 10th not the
11th not the 12th not the 13th not the
14th and they get up and see the full
moon of tuba which is the day that they
realize that they had conquered the fear
of death by virtue of their tilos and
their faith. Something that was an
impossible gazer even mere emotion our
own couldn't escape that gazer in a
certain way and they did. So this should
be a message of encouragement and hope
that in these dark moments that we've
been bitten by so many so many
terrorists so much destruction
it's not it's not a small thing how many
people 800 plus 900 lives taken many
many others shattered I heard I have a
close rel close close friends
of a dear relative of mine
and I won't mention names but
19-year-old boy lost both legs just now
this past week Gaza a 19-year-old boy
these are the bites of the nahash but
there are theim
we can overcome just like the paradum
and just like the and then came the
tishov that did that was a holiday that
marked the week in which they began the
celebration of their life this is what
our hope is this is what our plan is
this is what we are hoping for
that we should see all these agents of
death. All these
transformed
into ms, meaning that Hashem should
perform miracles. We've started to see
it. And I've said a couple of times,
we must, I believe, perhaps in honor of
Tuba.
Let's get through this period and say it
on tuba. document everything that's
happened from last year rash through
this year to ba and see the greatness of
Hashem. How the nahash is being
transformed into a mata literally a mate
that strikes our enemies and it should
be then transformed into a mata of
leadership and shalom. Our our prime
minister is in Washington talking about
these matters of life and death
to the Jewish people.
communicate. We're gonna we're going to
surrender to Gaza. Yeah. We're going to
let Iran off the hook. We're going to
let the Houthis off the hook. We're
going to let Hezbollah run wild. Syria
is crazy. We are literally b battling
seven nations of Cananan. Seven
countries. We're battling. Seven
entities. We're battling just like we
had to battle seven nations. And Moshe
in this week's past week's para got us
off to a great start. We routed Sikhon.
We routed O. we took possession of
repossessed their lands and even our
most spiritual villain most powerful
prophet of the non-Jewish people coming
up in this this next week's para is is
unable to dethrone the Jewish people
from their right rightful place as the
owners of Israel the builders of
hashem's malfus
with mech and we should see that they
