Ribono

This powerful prayer is taken from the words of the Chofetz Chaim, R' Yisrael Meir Kagan. The effects of his work are still felt today, as Jews throughout the world work on improving their relationships with others, refraining from speaking negative speech - Lashon Hara. The words are: ריבונו של עולם - יהי רצון מלפניך קל רחום וחנון שתזכני היום ובכל יום לשמור פי ולשוני מלשון הרע ורכילות... ויהיו כל מעשי ודיבורי לשם שמים - Master of the world, may it be Your will, compassionate God, to give me the merit today, and every day, to protect my mouth and tongue from speaking negatively of others... and may all by actions and words be for the sake of heaven.
