Shalom u’Bracha, Rabosai. I want to share with the Olam a story that perhaps can give some Chizuk in our battle to finally get in control of the tremendous Nisayon of Shmiras Einayim. So there was a man who has been working in Manhattan for many years, and recently, he was struggling in business, like many others during these hard times. One morning, around Pesach time, he was introduced to the amazing organization called Vayimaen. And he decided that he wants to sign up and he also wants to get amazing Chizuk from all the Chashuv Rabbanim and the speakers to help Klal Yisroel succeed in really being an עם קדוש, and being in control of what they see. Around the time that he joined, the famous Tally Counter clip was posted, where we discussed the powerful strategy to combat the Yetzer Hara, where instead of focusing on your falls, you focus on your victories by simply clicking the counter or keeping a Cheshbon in your head every time you overcome a Nisayon, and after some time of doing this, you realize that you're extremely capable, and slowly but surely, you build a confidence that you do have the power to finally get in control. Anyways, this idea caught his eye and as a zchus for his business, he decided he was going to buy a tally counter and he was going to keep track of all the times that he was strong enough to overcome this Nisayon. Now, Rabosai, he works in Manhattan. That is a battlefield that is bombarded with these challenges. No easy way to do this. But he held strong, Nisayon after Nisayon. He is now a few months in and his clicker is up to 483 clicks. That means 483 times he told his Yetzer Hara, The answer is no. I am not looking. I am in control. Think about that for a second. 483 times, just the Schar, besides the fact that now he knows he could do it. But the story doesn't end there. What followed after was incredible. He had been working with different clients for years, but he always found himself at a standstill. But after he started succeeding in the area of Shmiras Einayim, he had a tremendous breakthrough. And Baruch Hashem, a deal closed without too much effort. And then after that, another deal closed. It was almost like the pipe of שפע was finally unclogged and Hashem was showing him, If you take care of your Ruchniyus, I'll take care of everything else. There is no other way to explain his sudden success in business. Rabosai, this is a true story of a regular Yid. Somebody just like you. We have no idea what is waiting for us if we just unclog the pipe of שפע, so to speak. You don't need a clicker to do this. You just need to believe in yourself and start focusing on the fact that you... yes, you... can overcome one battle at a time and prove it to yourself by tracking your successes. You can do this.
