An Unbelievable Operation: Tomchei Shabbos supports 2,700+ families with a $3.4M Yom Tov budget

I had a friend that at one point in time was doing very well and then he really struggled struggling on Panusa but the barami didn't have to come on to help and this went on for a couple of years and then about a year and a half ago he reached out to me that he's struggling and he needs help. fine. I drove through that tent and I saw thousands and thousands of boxes and every single box told me, yank uncle, I care about you." Every box was another person donating. I care about you. And for the first time, I felt understood and felt cared. And that's why I'm crying. And that's the message. Every single box is somebody else giving. It's not from one donor. It's not from two. We're distributing to approximately 2,700 mishbakas for the whole bothus a month's worth of a large family receives approximately 35 cases from chicken, meat, fish, all the dairy products down to spices, oil, mayonnaise, paper goods, frozen goods, canned goods, you know, a month's worth of groceries. You times that times 2,700 families, it's approximately a $3.5 million operation. But the herish I had is that going into Yam, it's this is not something that comes from million-dollar donations. This is everyone's joint efforts. The whole town coming together, people taking on a family, a day of Yontive, a couple of days of Yontive, and it's just an unbelievable act, unbelievable joint effort.
