hours those of you who've been glued to your computer your phone your ipad whatever method you're using to watch and to connect with us you've seen some amazing content great panel discussions entertainment game shows interviews uh features a lot of wonderful stuff has been happening and all that has been provided by our friends at charity bids and we will explain how it all came together in just a few minutes but right now it's time to give right now it's time to acknowledge some of the things you've seen and heard over the last 33 hours have you enjoyed the content have you been kept up to date on amudim's activities have you have you internalized just how many people based on their data and stats in their videos and during their presentations they are affecting on a daily basis how many cases they take on how many states they work in how many countries they've affected families in the list is vast it's an incredible operation one worthy of support and amudham has done something that other organizations and other efforts have done in the past to an extent but they have made sure to the fullest extent to bring very sensitive topics that are going on in our community very sensitive situations that are happening within our neighborhoods to the forefront and to speak openly about them to address them to give advice about them and to provide what's necessary for young people and old alike to be able to get through those situations amudim is there amud they stand they're there standing for all of us year round now it's time for us to stand up and make a statement it's time for us to declare that needs our support and is going to get our support so it's very clear and it's very simple unitedhill.com is the website the donate button is pretty prominent and already four and a half million dollars has been raised every time you give it's four times the amount we ask that everybody respond if you haven't done so yet now is a good time to do it we're going to be spending three hours together three hours talking about some very sensitive topics three hours watching some incredible videos and performances three hours seeing some presentations that were prepared and carried out special for this broadcast for amuddim and specifically for these last three hours during our live stream presentation as all that is going on all we ask is that you toss in a few dollars or toss in any currency no matter where you might be around the world because every time you give everything you give is being quadrupled let's get to that five million dollar goal together we'll be meeting a lot of wonderful folks tonight people who work with the organization people who've helped the organization people take great pride that they've provided some of the content for this amazing live stream we ask that you respond and do so as generously as possible the ceo of charity bids is and i am told that he is with us live right now to fell a bit and to tell us about just how amazing these first 33 hours have been for the amudim unite to heal event yummy a pleasure to speak with you live sir how are you good to see you again thank you for having me a pleasure thank you for having me here uh this goes back quite a while charity bids came off an amazing performance last year with incredible content and wonderful presentations tell us how you feel this year has gone so far with everything that's been provided through charity bids on the unite to heal website uh looking at the ticker it looks like we're doing pretty well i'm very proud of what we've accomplished this year and uh i i don't have the updated step as yet but i know as of approximately three o'clock today we had over 700 000 unique hits to the site in the last day it's pretty impressive i would ask you which have been the most people are people are listening people are watching people are listening people are being impacted and most importantly people are learning people are learning both in uh through every one of these venues that you and your staff have created every one of these types of presentations all about amudha and the important of importance of supporting amudim i would ask you what have been the most popular hours of the last 33 i don't know if you have those statistics yet anything that's had a tremendous bump and i got tremendous attention from around the world um again it's going to sound like i'm making this up but the discussion between my father and rabia from goldberg saw a huge spike and i think that hour alone brought in three to four thousand dollars wow um the segment with hot ones with kosher guru and svglock was very popular whole weird squares which you hosted did very well uh and rabbi einhorns he thought it was only 10 minutes before raving about it but the biggest of all is the song that ali shueva and if you recall you and i spoke last week and i made a prediction do you remember what it was you said that that song will save lives so here's a phone call i got today i got a lot of phone calls today got a lot of feedback about that video which is now going around one phone call in particular from a childhood friend who told me that he was abused over 30 years ago and never had the courage to say anything or to speak up until he saw that video and now he wants to speak up and get involved with the mood to let anyone else in the world who has gone through trauma or is going through anything that a mood can help knows that they should speak up and seek help when they can now that there is an organization and he said he regrets that he didn't have an organization like him when he was a child and he didn't have an organization when he came to his parents and told them about the abuse that he went through and this is what he said is he faces his abuser regularly and he never had the help he needed the family never had the help they needed so when i told you last week that this song is going to save lives i i had a feeling it would be and this is only one phone call i got today and i'm sure there are stories like this all over the place and i think uh i think we created a very powerful piece of music and a piece of content i think ellie wrote brilliantly and the line that's flying around with one that hit you the hardest as well uh where in the lyrics he says i love you not for you to hate me um where we are trying to intervene and help people who need help and we betray their trust by recommending that they go for help to get them help but we love them so much that we're waiting for them to hate us for trying to help them yeah and uh i think when people see the song they'll understand when they hear the song they'll understand the impact that it could have and the number of lives that it had and that's why we're here let's save a lot and we're going to be featuring that video again about 8 30 eastern time tonight uh here before we uh leave the air um yummy there are a lot of organizations who do great work and serious work like amudin and they might use this live stream and the 36 hours a little differently speaking very seriously not not a criticism just it's their approach speaking very seriously with education and informing as much as possible charity bids came into our modem and really brought in addition to all that entertainment special videos unique material what is it that all these things that often one might think don't fit into this format what made it fit in so well in this format uh it's a good question so i think the first thing is when we were asked to do this event last year and we asked the mutum to lay out what their objectives the goals were one of the main goals in fundraising was awareness both amongst the people who are potential donors but also amongst people who uh should know to reach out to everything help and in order to do that ask the why doesn't that possible we had to create content that would run around the clock that people around the world have to participate and walk that people around the world could learn about and that's the so that people with all sorts of different types of interests there's something in it for everybody right so there's musical segments in this game shows and comedy and the serious subjects about youth and mental health and addiction and how to read your children there's something in everybody and as a result of that we were able to attract close to the viewers last year alone in the first year that we did this so we saw that this was a network and we decided to do it again so even if you're watching a segment which isn't necessarily uh about a modem or the work they do a good time and you watched you had fun watching something and the whole thing was on the moon platform so it's already you already know that they exist it can be about but i will say last year that with them is the only organization that i know of that that has the ability to uh attract over 100 personalities to participate in their event right so it's not only yeah it's a good idea if you could pull it off but if you're not a mootem you probably can't pull it off everybody the second the hero said we'll do whatever it takes from happening to company right everybody wants something thank you uh finally israel yummy yeah did i just say that are unique i'm sorry i would i would hope not but something got to be very immediate but but trust me if you did you're going to be uh you're going to be reprimanded that i can guarantee you have to get kicked finally 20 seconds how do people view the segments they haven't seen yet we will upload them and they should be available tomorrow they'll be available on the united hill website the same place where all of last year's segments are available we don't want to make them available during the live cast because we want people to watch uh as much content as possible but tomorrow everything should be available yummy shafters ceo of charity bids they're responsible for all the content and the entire production that we are in the midst of right now thank you so much thank you pleasure uh more coming up everybody in fact the simcoe is standing by we're going to join him in just a moment he'll join us in just a moment i just want to remind you that we are at 400 excuse me four million five hundred and forty thousand four million five hundred and fifty five hundred and fifty seven thousand four million five hundred and fifty seven thousand it's a good idea to take a look at the ticker and uh we're aiming for five million asap and we need your help we need your help to make sure our mudim gets to that goal all right 4.5 we've got less than half a million to go let's do it i'm told that simcha is in fact ready there he is what a pleasure to welcome you to the broadcast from schleimer great to see you how are things going hi barro hashem it's wonderful to see you especially for such an incredible organization here's the question and i don't know if you're comfortable answering because i know that people don't like to give specific numbers but in this case i think you might cooperate how many suffering brothers are there there are eight uh brothers eight brothers adam is everybody is everybody participating in this special presentation all the boys uh there's five girls that are not participating but all the brothers are in this eight suffering brothers from the response mission impossible hard to put together huh uh we we have a minute here tell us about the song that we're going to be seeing and hearing with everybody my father who um who was an educator passed away about five years ago uh was very fascinated by the mitzvah of shiloh khan sending away the mother birds it's my rahman it's a schooler for many things it's it brings mercy up in heaven my father studied it researched it and went around the world doing it for people that didn't have children etc and tremendous yeshua's came out from it and he loved singing kiyokori i grew up in london i grew up at my highlight every week was sitting at yiga salak's table in shul singing kabbalah shabbas and this was one of his favorite songs and we used to sit around the shabbos table singing this song and one of my brothers said you know let's let's get us all together and and work on this and about two years later we finally have the audio and i played it to yomi and he said no no you're not releasing this this is for um and i we we waited and we did a video so how am i doing a video it's about family one's in australia one's in israel one's in england one he wouldn't take no for an answer and with a lot of miracles barack hashem it is here and we are honored that this is uh being released for our murder i'm with him personally my father-in-law passed away this year when i needed to get my wife into aotearoa i'm with him with there um to help with all the process and to show me what to do and how to do it on the spur of the moment and that's just the tip of the iceberg i mean it's unbelievable that we have this um support available today and i think what's what i'm enjoying tremendously about this whole programming is for people to know that this help is out there yeah it's an incredible thing that is the most important thing simcha suffering big yeshiko to you thank you for bringing this song to the audience and doing it for amudim and ladies and gentlemen around the world it's now time to hear and see and enjoy kiikorei the suffering brothers all eight of them together for unite to heal powered by amudin [Music] key [Music] foreign [Music] m [Music] god [Music] me [Music] oh [Music] is [Music] is [Music] is [Music] foreign [Music] you [Music] how heartwarming was that habit all the suffering brothers and their entire mishpacha that was just simply unbelievable uh david kushner is with us he is in charge of government relations for amudim he's a member of hatsala beaker hollam in the hebrew kadisha in philadelphia he's also found the coordinator of hawaiirim of philadelphia and coordinator of miss askin philadelphia and again a very important and crucial member of the amudim team in the department of government relations a pleasure to welcome you to unite to heal it's a pleasure to be here with you you are taking great nachas tonight because except for svglock the rumor has it that your page is doing the best of all the fundraising pages for amudin tonight that is that is true at the moment but there's still a chance for others to take the lead so we encourage everybody to push as hard as possible and that wouldn't bother you somebody that would not bother me in the least i understand that you mentioned something to me off the air which i think is so critical because we always think of a mudim helping hundreds and thousands of families in specific types of situations many of which would not apply to a lot of families in our community worldwide but you got involved in something that really involved almost everybody and that was trying to get uh young men and young women to yeshiva and seminary in israel and in general get people to simchas and other occasions and emergency situations to israel over the last two years what's it been like being such an important part of the israel travel component of amudhu so before kovid when in my role in terms of government relations we dealt with a lot of the narcan trainings in coordination with police departments and various governmental agencies regarding trauma and abuse and awareness and when covet hit a lot of those in-person events got cancelled and as we spoke about yesterday in some of the videos when the borders closed and we're having trouble getting mason and levia's territory that's really where we got into if you will the travel business although it's not a business because we don't charge a penny for it and then it really just blew up from there and you know we've really had the skus to be able to help it's tremendous those early tragic situations and everybody remembers pesach of two years ago those early tragic situations led to some really positive things you know the young people getting to seminary in yeshiva and people being able to travel with first-degree relatives there etc i mean not everybody's gotten in but you are responsible for a lot of people getting in that's for sure when we say government relations and a modem it can't only be a good relationship with those who you need in emergency situations in general i would assume you're always dealing with government officials and others who on a regular basis are there to help them correct i mean there's various government agencies in regards to trauma treatment and to awareness and you know our overdose prevention programs and just a a working relationship especially because we have offices both in and in america and we service clients in really almost every continent in the world so there are times when you know things need to happen across governmental lines sometimes between states sometimes between countries sometimes between continents and there's a lot of different agencies that could come into play for those of us who think that every state operates the same way you can you can attest to the fact that that's not true not in terms of insurance not in terms of legalities services services 100 um and and and there may be certain programs uh certain treatment centers that are in different parts of the country where i assume a relationship with government in that area helps in terms of trying to provide that type of help for uh young people or others who are coming from other states in the country that can only help when a certain state has a program or their government the state government has some type of sponsored program and you want to help uh people here or anywhere where they may be go and take advantage of it that's correct especially when you're dealing with special circumstances there's different exemptions and allowances with each state's department of health for instance or you know niche things with their in terms of their state's insurance coverages to get coverage for the best clinical treatment for each individual client when did you first start with amudin so i actually started with a mood them before i moved them existed i go back with with sv over 25 years i mean you read the litany of things i'm involved in in philadelphia and the first time i got involved with sv was uh at the lavaya of the old chief rabbi in philadelphia the revolutionary of besdon robert lazarovsky when he was lifter and as leviah was going to new york and then urged so and ever since we've been very very close friends and have worked together over the years on numerous cases and you know as uh amudham grew from the beginning days and the need to bring somebody on in that role so we could focus a little bit more of his time on the day-to-day minute-to-minute hour-to-hour responsibilities of such a rapidly growing organization they brought me in and you know that relationship has uh has continued i need you to tell this audience because you know david kushner we're trying to get to five million dollars as soon as possible i need you to tell this audience that even though you remember the early days you remember the times when it was just you and sv and maybe a few others doing this kind of work and staying up all night doing it you have to tell this audience that even with a massive operation like this in the millions of dollars with so many families being helped still every dollar is being used really really well explain to people out there why they need to donate and help us get to the goal so i'll tell you you know i'm involved in a lot of different organizations but i can guarantee you and i can assure you that bang for your buck a moo them you're going to get more just as much if not more from the services that a moon them is providing even as they grow almost than almost any other of the countless reputable seductors and charities that exist within their community even as they grow because they're getting even as they grow and it doesn't seem to matter even as they go whether it's a therapy subsidy fund that goes directly to cover whether it's our case management teams that are literally up days and nights all hours of the days and nights whether it's the crisis response line that is answering shabbos and yantif also people going away from their own saddam and you know friday night sooners with their families to deal with somebody in crisis every single penny goes towards helping those that need it the most david kushner is on the front lines he knows it he knows what goes on and i moved him and he knows why it's so important to support the cause and we're asking everybody to go to the website i'm assuming you're there already unite to heal.com donate everything between now and the five million dollar goal is being quadrupled every time you give eighteen dollars it's really four times eighteen and every time you give a thousand dollars it's four thousand dollars some about significant funds that are being raised and really this one exclusive massive fundraiser of the year from for amuddin so please help us get to that five million dollar goal you're going to be hearing over the next couple hours and you've really heard a lot over the previous 33 hours just how important organization this is and just how critical it is to continue to provide services for young people and families in our community david kushner god bless you continue your amazing work thank you so much nakamura it's great to be with you thank you very much uh ladies and gentlemen around the world [Music] who will be strong and stand with me somewhere beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see do you hear the people say do you hear the twisting drums it is the future that they bring when tomorrow comes tomorrow yes [Music] back in our unite to heal studios that was some presentation thank you to a doodoo fisher and the maccabeats thanks to all of you who have been donating keeping our mudim strong you know that we have a 5 million dollar goal which we'd like to get to asap join us right now we're at 4.6 million four million six hundred and twenty two thousand join us everybody participate everything you give is quadrupled right now until we get to the five million dollar goal dr schweine zimmerman is with us he's a licensed clinical psychologist who runs child and adult psychological services a group psychology practice a well-known speaker and consultant for many non-profits in the fields of child development education prevention and trauma dr zimmern is also the chair of the amudem clinical advisory board welcome to the show dr zimmerman thank you so much welcome great to have you here um well i guess we'll start with this because it seems to be an unavoidable subject and that is how different had the last two years been compared to your prior work in the field of psychology well it's been pretty remarkable i mean things have been very busy all the time but then the last two years things just uh skyrocketed um it was actually during kovid when sv reached out to me he was like uh shlaimi things are bad i'm thinking to do a hotline and like with most projects that sweet says i begged him please don't do it we know nothing about hotlines we've never done a hotline it's not really our department don't the next call i get back is slimy we have a hotline so we jumped on and built a hotline from the ground up and fielded thousands of calls during covid and our case law just blew up and that's true you know at the a modern level in psychology mental health world there's seeing more and more and more problems come out so yes he's been talking about the growth and you've been hearing about that all day just how many cases we have and we need to be able to help them and the hotline had everything from the i don't want to say mundane no situation in in covid was ever something we shouldn't take seriously but i guess it was something from the somewhat simple to the very very complicated right absolutely we had from i'm somewhat anxious i don't have my regular exercise routine to even that could get somebody huh active suicidal calls where we were literally talking people off ledges right let's deal with the first one first when people have that small adjustment in their schedule and they only start to realize how important that exercise is or how important their hour off is you know depending on what they can or can't do how do they deal with that so a lot of people struggle because so many elements of their routine went out the window at the same time they couldn't communicate with family they didn't have exercise didn't have their regular work and a lot of people were in isolation they were discouraged from leaving the house and taking a drive exactly so we were doing things from encouraging people to walk outside and take walks and reconnect with family and use zoom and other things to trying to piece together treatments for the most severe issues cobbling together things while many programs and things weren't even doing in person so we really just did whatever we could in the moment i'm laughing because one of my kids says to me we live in in downtown manhattan and uh one of my kids is we're passing 34th street says yeah i used to walk up here during cove and i said really all the way up here don't you remember we had nothing else to do right and this will take a little a little walk even if it's a couple of miles all right and then of course the really severe cases do we have enough and i know this sounds like an unusual question do we have enough qualified trained people in our community to deal with the very very uh sensitive situations i mean you mentioned earlier some of the calls actually did involve active suicide situations where we're talking about you pray that you have the right person answering that hotline on the other end of the phone to deal with something like that so you raised a remarkable issue we had no idea what was going to hit us actually i was trying to help people by saying hey you know what it looked very light when we first started it was erif pesach two years ago peak of covid but it was a brand new hotline we had barely any calls and i didn't want people's jumptiff to get disturbed so i took basically everybody off the line except myself and a couple of colleagues and about three hours before yantif things started hitting us like a tsunami and we were managing and managing it and actually on yantif itself i had to call sv and a bunch of other people and we were getting therapists and mental health professionals on the calls live while they were happening so please hold and we were just feeling close because the phone did not stop are there enough mental health professionals to deal with things at that level probably the truth is no part of what we're doing is trying to ramp things up and increase the level of training what we did for the hotline was we took people we had clinical directors and we had high level supervisors and we started to learn to how do we triage and get the help at the base level and then the highest level calls to be filtered to people who could handle them and with a lot a lot of the shimaya i don't think we dropped a ball there and baksham i think anybody who called there got connected with help and thankfully we haven't heard of anything where we really dropped the ball they were able to save countless lives isn't it miraculous how the collective jewish community survived that young we never focus on that how that pesach was so difficult on everybody and obviously physically for many unfortunately we know what people went through and unfortunately many of them didn't make it through but then mentally what families were going through and even families that did not have covet cases among their close relatives still that we as a community i would say even worldwide made it through that young thief we have to look back and just think how we were able to absolutely i think it's incredible i think there's a tremendous amount of safety i think it really goes to the heart of what amudham is we talk about being pillars or supports and when we look behind the scenes we could see we see endless difficulty and tragedy but we see resilience like no other community we can get hit as hard as any community not worse and that's part of our history but when we come together as a community there's no stopping us and that's really what this whole event and the whole organization is all about yeah without this unity we wouldn't be at the numbers we're at right now absolutely uh i think it's important to note because i i concentrated on this uh in this conversation on the covet period i think it's important to note that today i'm not know what your schedule was like today but today the problems you just described are going on today calls like that we're coming to amudin today or yesterday or they'll happen tomorrow all these things continue to happen maybe not at the same level as you described two aprils ago but they're happening every single day with that in mind i need you to remind the audience why it's important to support amudin so the reason to support amudhim i mean there's there's endless number of reasons but i think one of the most important reasons for me is we're all here with a mission on this world and that's to be like hashem and the navi tells us that hashem is close to the brokenhearted so if we want to be most similar to hashem we want to really do our mission we got to be as close to the brokenhearted as possible and many people don't have the opportunity to sit in a therapy room or to deal with crisis management but every single person has the ability to partner with us and to be there and broken heart of people knowing that like you said our community comes together for them the abuse victim is not forgotten the addict isn't just shunned right our communities rise to the level and we all come together united to heal we get together we do this that sends an incredible message and each and every person then has the ability to partner in being like hashem being there for the broken heart yeah that's all he wants from us is take care of those in need and take care of those in pain and there's a lot of pain out there dr zimmerman and i remind everybody that we are close to the five million dollar goal and we'd like to surpass it as soon as possible please be as generous as you can everything's being quadrupled get to unitedheal.com just click the donate button and be part of this amazing effort on behalf of amudin they want to end 2021 strong and they want to help even more people in 2022 we're asking everybody to be as generous as possible dr shlaimy zimmerman continue your amazing work and uh continued success with everything you do with amudim thank you so much a pleasure uh we have another special treat we're all about special treats tonight especially during these final three hours of our live presentation uh and right now shuli rand is going to be performing in a video that is going to be very familiar to a lot of people because this has become a very popular international song it's called being kodesh leho shulirand on our broadcast of unite to brought to you and powered by a mud m [Music] is [Music] my oh [Music] hello [Music] oh [Music] my [Music] we're in the united heels studios thank you to shulie rams an amazing presentation and we have two special guests with us uh bachelor bomb is here a board member with amudim and haskell bennett who rightfully identified himself as a friend of everybody he is with us as well he certainly is a good friend of amudham a pleasure to welcome you both uh to the unite to heal broadcast but sheva is a prominent attorney and finds time to volunteer some time as a board member what's it like being part of an active board because there are a lot of organizations some with inactive boards and some with active boards amudin is known for just how active their board members are with that experience like it's absolutely true we've talked about this before and it's um it's an amazing experience to be part of a board that cares very deeply rightfully so because there are a few organizations out there that are a museum and the board cares the board is involved in many many decisions and the board puts its money where his mouth is no that's for sure um i would assume the board is approached when uh an additional project has to be undertaken and that's always a big decision right someone in business thinks a million times were they at an expense somebody in the proper world wonders you know can we afford uh and can we fund what needs to be done what's it like when a new twist comes across the board's desk when something that you didn't think of until that time was necessary or important our community is brought to your attention that it is i have to say i don't know what other organizations do or have but i don't think they have svgluck who is extraordinary and frequently before a project even gets underweight sv already has someone lined up to help make it happen including making the funding happen but this board is intensely fiscally responsible and very on top of everything so nothing takes place that's new that isn't already accounted for and under very responsible control we spoke last year is there anything about the last 12 months aside from the whole covet situation that stands out to you something that uh we would not have discussed last year but now has become a prominent uh either project or a prominent problem that a modem is trying to solve well the travel aspect of what amudin has done has absolutely exploded um more than ever amudin was always there to help people but the need was never as strong as it became and amudim stepped up in a way that was simply magnificent and from the difficult to the wonderful births weddings unfortunately funerals and sadly other tragedies that took place in arizona this year amudim stepped in and stepped up and really helped people in a very material way yeah no question about that haskell bennett uh to say friend of amudem is an understatement you have seen this organization grow like crazy from your perspective uh what have they uh what have they accomplished over the last few years and where do they stand at the end of 2021 how important does that move them to our community i think that what we discussed probably a year or so ago has only been magnified many times over mental health has never been discussed as a primary issue in the community until an organization like amudhim emerged at to the very highest level of communal organizations we all know there are certain taboos certain things that the community refused or maybe were just not educated enough about the timing was wrong didn't know how to handle it kovid certainly brought a lot of issues to the forefront but even before kovid amudham was bringing issues of abuse and of mental health to a to an audience that knew that there was a problem but couldn't figure out really maybe how to deal with it claudius barack hashem is lucky to have incredible organizations that do a myriad of work i mean we know all of our organizations there's no reason to go through them but really from cradle to birth everything in between and beyond but one of the very important issues that really never got the focus that it deserved and deserves was mental health um good mental health practice for the community people struggling people struggling with addiction again all of these issues that leads itself and lends itself to a healthy life to having a good life we all want our neighbors our friends our family to to enjoy the beautiful world that's around us all of the beauty of our children our grandchildren and beyond our shows our communities if someone is struggling with mental health and someone is not able to enjoy because they have an addiction problem an abuse problem shouldn't we give them the same attention and health that they deserve as if we would give them if they were a customer show them having chest pain or if they were a problem having infertility or if they would have a problem getting health insurance and on and on and on and what amudham has done has brought this issue out of the darkness into the light i couldn't be prouder of my sister bacheva for taking on a lead role in a cloud organization of this magnitude it is exactly where she where her skills both financially as an attorney and as an oversight board she's right where she should be this people say you know our community uh you see the same faces over and over again not here here is a new and emerging star it's my sister i'm allowed to say it but someone who is out there who wants to make a difference in her community and there's so many others that moody miss touching does she say similar things about you or not publicly i can tell you that i'm very proud to be following in his footsteps that i'm sure um it seems from this conversation and really for anybody who observes what amudham does they are willing to say things that others won't say they are basically and spea is obviously the champion of this we i'm going to talk about this whether you like it or not i'm going to talk about this i'm going to bring it out to the community and inform everybody what's going on and sometimes in very graphic terms i'm going to say it and tell like it is now some might say in 2021 this is the circumstance that there's so much crazy stuff going on out there that we don't confront it you know with real information then there's no right and you agree with that there's no i would just say the fact that sv is willing to say things that other people aren't willing to say to a credit to him but the fact that elijah britney who is the head the rabbinical advisor of amudhim is saying things of this nature and well back to me it's it's not even i i i love to be and i'm a friend of svs for since three was even talking i mean we know we go that's how far back we go i believe last year i sat here with his father edward gluck on this edna stage the fact that sv has brought all the professional world all the experts everyone together to stand up on this issue says so much about sv but so much more about the issue it's not that what's what's he's saying it's what everyone is saying watch this last 36 hours on and on expert after expert professional after professional speaking truth to the community saying things that nobody ever heard before that is a credit to our mood and you're so you're so right no question about it and haskell join me in asking everybody who's watching to please support the work of amudhim it's obvious that amudim has made an impact out there after all we're at 4.7 million dollars and a 5 million dollar goal so obviously a lot of people have have been educated and understand the importance of this organization to families and individuals worldwide we're asking all of you during these final hours please give what you can help us get to the goal and make sure our mutum stays strong i'll ask classical first you and then batsheva just say it to the people out there why should they be supporting i'll move them right now i think an investment in the community is an investment in ourselves the stronger we can create an infrastructure that helps people in need some of the people who are falling through the cracks an organization like this if you care i've said this before probably with you nakam if you care about the jewish people it's not enough to look at the tsarists out there crafts and say aye aye read your whatsapp and say oh it's terrible see this tragedy see that issue see that problem we have to take it from ive a to action here is an organization that is taking the terrorists of the community they are creating solutions and they are creating action so that is the kind of organization if you profess to care about the jewish people i'm here for that reason i won't speak for my sister but i'm assuming she has devoted her life as one of the things she's doing for that reason i know thousands of people we're at four point something million dollars clearly people identify it resonates yep help us get over that topic no question about about shovel what would you say to everybody about donating what i would say to everyone is this i have seen a moothim care for our people like it is a brother a sister a child i have seen stories that show a way of caring for claudius like they are family in an extraordinary fashion and i would say to everyone out there this is us it's your children our children our siblings our friends so please help amudin help us bennett they are siblings and they're both passionate about the importance of supporting i move them i thank both of you uh we have another special treat everybody as we kick off the next hour of our three hour presentation here tonight ellie marcus and arie klinsler together have created something that they call the yosef carduna medley it's ellie and arya together at unite to heal powered by amudib [Music] thank you [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] is [Music] is [Music] foreign [Music] is [Music] is [Music] i [Music] now [Music] unitedheal.com is the website get us to our goal the goal is five million dollars we want to get there as soon as possible so that we can continue to support amudin and i hope you've been enjoying all these hours of amazing content provided by charity bids we're here until nine pm eastern time or maybe you drop after that who knows we want to get to our goal and get there as soon as possible and even go beyond the goal simcha shane is here simcha shane first founded paraflight and later organflights.com the two companies provide four different services for patients in critical condition paraflight offers an air ambulance which simcoe describes as a private jet icu in the sky power flight also offers a medical escort program for non-critical patients on commercial flights providing a doctor nurse or medic to travel with the patient to their destination a pleasure to welcome you to our unite to heal studios thank you i see that the effort that uh and of course many years with hatsallah many years with both hatsala here and united hat sallah in israel this all began because of a situation with a friend of yours right correct and that friend unfortunately didn't make it was seeking a lung transplant and you decide i mean as sad as these stories are and obviously we would have preferred he made it it's amazing that this entire effort that you've created is all because of that one episode think of how many people you've saved and helped because of that one situation that came across in your life correct i was privileged to you know to get to know a lot of people through my connections in hasan and kem simcha but my story story started actually with zacchaems of course i'm sure everybody knew who he was and he was a philanthropist and he was an unbelievable bachelor and he taught people how to give and he had his own private jet that he used for his business he had a layer 31 and he actually outfitted it with a stretcher and with oxygen and he would send me and other paramedics all over the country to fly patients to wherever they had to go and he's the one who actually introduced me to this young boy who was sick and unfortunately got sick secondary to his exposure at 9 11 and didn't actually pass away from from the sickness from 9 11 but from the destruction of his lungs from the from the chemotherapy and he needed a lung and this young boy who introduced me to yochi and we traveled all over the country 11 different transplant centers and everybody said no until we found a place right here in new york that accepted him and although yohi passed away two years ago his mother always i speak to her almost on a weekly basis tells me that because he had that will to live and he had that belief that one day he's going to get along he just held on to it and although he passed away we continue to do it in his memory unbelievable and uh by the way we should note because i think anybody who knew zakheim would appreciate it that if he knew what we were saying about him publicly he would not be very happy frankly that's correct but now all these years later we we look back i would assume just based on what i knew back then that anything you described that you did with him was kept completely under wraps and he didn't want anybody to know that correct he told me the statue of limitations is forever oh wow so i guess that maybe i say now you know thank god people who are healthy and have healthy families don't know who you are and don't even realize that this service exists but unfortunately if someone is in a tragic situation and they need immediate help there is such a thing as what you've created where someone can go a pilot with a medical team can go and help somebody on the spot i mean i don't know how many people you're servicing or if this is a service that used that's being used constantly but again only those who are in delicate medical situations would be familiar with it correct we have a corporate division as well but on the medical side that's what we do how often are you undertaking are you step undertaking missions like this so missions like this believe it or not take place every single day nobody knows about someone has to get to a hospital quickly or get a transplant immediately or or a number of situations i guess i could mention so what we do primarily is we fly transplant teams from their hospital to a donor hospital it could be anywhere in the country you know generally within you know anywhere from an hour to three hours of flight time sometimes four and a half to five with special boxes and machines that they have that can prolong the length that a heart or a lung can be out of a body but we send the teams out they do a procurement surgery and then they come back so we provide aircraft jets helicopters ground transport whatever is needed and then they get back and then they they do the surgery over here and it's all about speed ambulances would never suffice right not a chance well the distance is insane not even you can't fly fifteen hundred miles with uh well we can't drive it i've seen some drivers but i get it but the whole concept is amazing because you're able to take advantage of the fact that these planes and helicopters exist and that your service is around it's incredible we can do uh for people so do you get some calls might i guess from speak luck and people that i've moved in once in a while yes we do i go backwards see i think everybody has been i think costco mentioned it before since we're kids i think i know it's c since we're probably 10 or 15 years old and he used to come to lakewood where i live where his whereas he had some family there but it's he's one person that and it's a two-way street okay i never send sends feet to the voicemail and speed doesn't do that either c always makes sure to pick up a phone and and in return we do the same thing you know that's when she's calling you it's for something important he's not calling to shoot the breeze there's an issue and it's a problem and there's a challenge and he really has a solution he just needs his partners to participate in the solution get it done right and that's what we do it's pretty remarkable frankly uh there's an audience out there there are a lot of people who are uh who have been very generous so far thank god in getting i moved until this point we have a goal of 5 million dollars and i'm sure you would say that every dollar is well spent in this organization you've seen a lot of the tragic situations and a lot of the very successful situations up close and personal what could you say to people who are watching and listening right now why it's so important to support our movement the reason we have to support our movements because they're here for us and never turns anybody down and if you want to be a partner how simple is it now right svglock and his entire team they work 24 hours a day seven days a week so he has a special designated shabbos phone that he utilizes but the audience doesn't have to do that the audience can participate and they can partner with amudham simply by swiping their credit card isn't that amazing it certainly is when you wake up tomorrow morning will you likely be introduced to a new adventure or you already know what the schedule is for the rest of the week we never know the schedule week wake up morning and you have hours to get something done right well we well we don't really sleep you know i say the last time i slept a full night without worrying about my phone is 2014. but hashem we have a solid team behind us that works on and even the amudha missions that we do some of these missions can take three or four days because these are missions that take place across the world and across continents can you describe one of them for us i can there's no statute or limitations because fee didn't tell me that i can't talk about it but yeah just i can tell you just over the last two weeks two weeks jobs that we had together were missions that we had together uh one of them was for a for a doctor um who was very sick with covet his second time was an exposure and he was in uh he was in israel it was an article sorel and he needed stem cells and somehow she got involved and he called me up he was working on it the whole week i can't even imagine how many people i know of 20 plus people that are working on this mission including my cousin dovelonda and he called me up and he said we need a plane because we have to get stem cells from florida to new york on shabbos because tsv was going to take it on matsushabus on an ll flight to israel so i was on would see you know friday night shop this morning we got the jet to land had it picked up borough sand house from from hotshot of south florida uh went and picked it up brought it to an aircraft i got flown to farmingdale and then michael vash from senior care actually arranged i'm sure you know michael do you have any people you need involved to get right oh of course michael vacher arranged and i was sitting with him you know shabbos morning i think he was he was actually in florida but i called him during kriya satire because i heard i heard the halftire in the background and he arranged for transfer to pick it up to bring it to tsv who brought it to israel right and barak hashem they say the guy is doing well and we've br we've repatriated you know bodies who were stuck in other countries who had to come in and you know when c makes that phone call he doesn't want to hear stories he doesn't hear excuses just like he doesn't give excuses he wants that job done and that's what we do sim hussein what a pleasure to have you here and uh what exciting adventures you're involved with but more importantly exciting it's an incredible testament you're involved with which is amazing and i and everybody here ask you our generous donors around the world to please get us to our five million dollar goal and get us there as soon as possible please unite the heal.com the big donate button it's very simple get us the five million dollars and it's easy to do right now because until the 5 million mark everything you give is quadrupled every 100 is 400 etc please support amudim keep zwiegluck and his incredible staff and all the volunteers and all these ancillary companies and organizations and private individuals who are jumping to make sure they can do what sv and amudha need to be done keep them going with tremendous support please give and please give generously our next video our next special presentation is a pair of brothers yankee and shulam lemmer yankee and shulam lemmer have a song that they're performing together called a man from vilna you may recall the journey selection of man from vilna it's a great one here are yankee and shalom lemmer on unite to heal powered by amudim [Music] i met a man last sunday he was on his way back home from a wedding in chicago he was traveling alone he said he came from vilna a survivor i could tell i helped him with his suitcase he could not walk very well as steward gave us coffee as we settled on the plane i asked him why he bothers at his age there'd be no blame no similarities a burden although i miss my dear late wife then he shared with me a story that has changed my view of life we dance round and round in circles as if the world had done no wrong from evening until morning filling up the shoe with song though we had no see freight toro to clutch close to our hearts in the place we held the future of the past [Music] i remember liberation joy and fear both intertwined you go and what to do and how to leave the pain behind my heart said go to vilna dear i pray it once again for the chance to find a loved one or perhaps a childhood friend it took many months to get there from late spring to the fall design many others close to 400 and home slowly there was healing darkened [Music] we danced round and round in circles as if the world had done no wrong from evening until morning filling up the shoe with song though we had no sea freight toyota to clutch close to our hearts in the place we held the future of a pass [Music] we ran as one towards the shoe our spirits in a trance we tore apart the barricade in defiance we would dance but the scene before us shook us of cedar bullet holes blood stains on the floor turning to the eastern wall we looked on in this there'd be no scrolls to dance with the holy ark was big then we heard two children crying a boy and girl who no one knew we realized no children were among us but those two we dance round and round in circles as if the world had done no wrong from evening until morning filling up the showy song though we had no see free torah gather in our arms in the place we held those children the jewish people would live on we danced round and round in circles as if the world had done no wrong from evening until morning filling up the shoe with song though we [Music] we held those children am [Music] [Applause] am [Music] yes [Music] welcome back into our unite to heal studios i am uh looking at the ticker to my left 4.987 million that's four million nine hundred and eighty seven thousand i am almost i am almost enticed to just stay with you with this shot for the next thirteen thousand until we get to our five million dollar goal i have a great guest now who is in our studio so i'm not gonna do that but please we are really really close and right now everything you give until the five million dollar mark is going to be quadrupled so give and give generously one more check 4 million 900 and almost 88 000 so about 12 000 to go before we hit our goal and it would be amazing to do so in the next few minutes rabbi el hanan zone is with us he's in our studio he's director of the vada obama of queens fabric adisha and founder and director of nask the national association of chevros khadijah he's a renowned authority and jewish burial a world renowned hallachic expert on matters of afterlife care rabbi zone's expertise is sought out by rabbanim khabros khadijah crisis management organizations and funeral and cemetery directors throughout the world to ensure the highest levels of kavor hames rabbi zone a pleasure to reunite with you here for amudin thank you for inviting me it's a tremendous success a tremendous privilege to be able to give kizok and give back a little bit of what our mood gave me and the entire claudia swirl in the area of cover kadisha amudim has really been in the forefront in so many different ways that the community is so needs to be so appreciative of and unfortunately many people have no knowledge of because right they don't have the need well that's why you're here because i'm curious and i need to know the types i know you're involved in a lot of situations some of them we'd call crazy situations because of the speed with which they need to be done in the circumstances that they're undertaking but when i move them calls give us a typical example of why they may be calling you well it's really i'll be very honest with you uh it's me who calls i've moved him much more often than i'm with him is calling me i'm wounded might call me with help about a cemetery that they need to get uh to open at a late hour or something along those lines or maybe just some knowledge that i might have of someone they need to contact whatever it is but in terms of uh hands-on uh involvement it's much more frequent that i'm actually calling on mood certainly these days than our modem is calling me amudham is just an unbelievable organization i think what impresses me most about him is the extent of care that they provide they go beyond you know i often say that um is one of these things that we say every morning actually after we say the birkha santorum we say elodvar machine language there are certain things that have no limit and um cressid is one of those few things now we think about things that have no limit we think of some of the things that our mudin does which is you know without limit i mean they will go to fight in government offices they'll go and fight uh anybody and everybody to make sure whether it's airports uh you know uh airlines whatever it may be just to make sure that things get done but i think and those are heroic and those are huge and uh maybe no one else can do some of those things but the fact is that when we say that jesus does not have a shear has no measure it also means at the lower end it's every little thing is part of what it is it's the little things and i think what has really made amudin stand out in so many ways is that they are careful about those little things how a family is going to react how is something news going to be broken to them how will what can they do to make sure that the family will have less stress less pain less worry whatever it may be and that's part of their mission and it has been you know actually hard to see what has been accomplished uh hard to believe that what's been accomplished has been accomplished in really a very short time i mean we go back a long way i mean i remembered sve from a long time ago and i remember when his father uh was the go-to guy in the early days he was working uh with cuomo at the time and he was the police you know chaplain and i would turn to him we would do a lot of things together but he certainly knows how to get it done has this speech uh rabbi zone i have a major announcement to make which i'm going to do in a moment but first i just want you to communicate to those who are watching and listening why it's so important to some support i moved them tonight okay amudim is there to really support the community when anyone needs them uh last night my organization i actually won't say shabbos we had a big event and what we of what we focus on are the things that people need to do to prepare for end of life and they never do well amuddim is really there to pick up the pieces when people don't prepare and there are a lot of things that people don't necessarily do in advance even if it means not having a passport when they know that there's a cover in heritage swirl and so on and so forth a lot of times during covert where we couldn't prepare because with things were that we couldn't prepare for but the fact is amudim is there to pick up the pieces whenever necessary certainly in the area of havoc the issue whether it's getting uh getting all the paperwork done so that they can so that they can um be able to get the crew done as immediately as possible and again taking care of the family and everyone else rabbi zone and i encourage everybody to support our move them all through the night we have heard of multitudes of reasons why you should support and hear my zone gives us his perspective as the national head of the association of chevros khadija everybody out there let's support i'm with them and do so as generously as possible and now uh we are joined by tsv gluck who is here on set with a major announcement i'm actually going to uh steal his thunder and let everybody know that baroque hashem we have achieved the goal for amudhim a 5 million dollars if you look at your screen it does deserve a round of applause and i love the confetti that's being tossed around and and in celebration of this great event uh mazel tov my stuff to you and the entire organization and really i'm going to say mazel tov to claudius throw on this accomplishment absolutely it is a very big mazel tov de claudius roll and it's also a very big testament when you see the amount of people that made the donations a few thousand donors that means they're giving a voice for those who historically have not been heard but i actually have an even more special announcement so now i'm gonna steal my thunderback go for it we found out about three minutes ago so thank you to uh my staff that um actually a group of donors have actually contacted us and let us know that for we are going into a bonus round which historically we have never done right we always call it quits when we hit the number but we are going up to six million dollars with a three to one match so the match is actually continuing until six million dollars in a bonus round and uh by the way if you remember that pressure we had last year towards the last second and now i can breathe a little so all right this is really exciting thank you samia let me make this clear to everybody it was unclear what would be regarding well how matching would work once we hit five million dollars was unclear weren't sure exactly how it would work maybe a double match who knows well we have great news it's a triple match which means everything between now and six million everything between now and the six million dollar goal is going to be triple match now i'm not gonna do all the math but you get the point everybody thirty dollars is ninety dollars and a hundred is three hundred et cetera et cetera and that goes all the way until we hit six million we are officially in the bonus round confetti at all we are officially in the bonus round marching towards six million sweet luck is there anything else you'd like to add as we now cross over from our goal to the bonus round i'm gonna go back and continue working the phones and keep trying to get even more money because every dollar that we bring in means another dollar we can use to help someone in need you know it's interesting how many insiders board members and outsiders people you work with but don't know the inner workings of the organization all said tonight how every single dollar is utilized so well by the amudem organization that's a big testimony to you and your staff so we're actually very proud of that fact and that's why we don't not only do we have our 990s listed on our website but we have our orderly tax financials as well we can keep everything there we believe that clock a modem is claudius organization and we just have the skus to be pawns on that chessboard to be able to help make a difference person by person well you're making a lot of very positive moves on that chess board for the jewish world uh thank you mr b gluck thank you to rabbi zone thank you to all of you for getting us to 5 million guess what we have 90 minutes left maybe even a bit more which means we have a good chunk of time to get to the six million dollar goal in our bonus round and everything is going to be tripled every time you give a dollar you're really giving three dollars please give give give tripled after all give give give and encourage people in your family in your community and your whatsapp groups on your email in your social media encourage them to give and to give now so we can get to that six million dollar mark we have a special video we told you that charity bids has provided a lot of great special treats for us for tonight mendy portnoy and ari ettinger together are doing a selection which has an interesting title it's called a pianist and a guitarist walk into a bar let's see what happens mendy and ari are next right now in fact on unitedheal.com powered by [Music] amudiv one two three [Music] yes [Music] unite the hill 2021 is powered by amudim i'm happy to say that we're at 5 million 41 000 we're marching toward a bonus of 6 million that's what we need we need to get to 6 million by the end of the night all of you out there we've been saying it throughout the entire campaign every dollar you give is really more valuable right now anything given between now and the six million dollar goal is going to be tripled every dollar will be worth three dollars please give generously help amudim do its amazing work one of the people who could tell us about moodim's amazing work is sitting here to my right danny weissman is somebody who's had a personal encounter with amudim and it's a pleasure to welcome you to our studio at unite to heal thank you could you tell us how long ago you started an association with amudin um yeah i will never forget that actually it was uh it was to be specifically uh it's probably about 2007 he uh literally walked me out of central bookings so uh it was a night to remember and uh it's 14 years ago i guess so yeah just about 2007. and on the assumption i could ask you anything why were you in central booking um that specific time was uh there was still a law called stop and frisk so i was part of that situation and uh you were stopped exactly and i uh i was just smoking some pot back then and that was not the only time that you were in central looking that was not the only time though and so tsv shows up because someone calls him or because you know i don't really know the story behind it i didn't call anybody i literally did not make a phone call he fell from the sky for you literally literally uh it wasn't the only time not that he fell from the sky before that was uh yeah he literally just i mean i kind of know how it went down because i was with somebody he he made a phone i did not ask anybody to come and help me i was helpless my mother was giving birth uh at the time so they the cop called her from the precinct asked her you know are you going to come get your child and she's like i'm in labor like there's nothing to do my parents didn't know tv there was no connection they weren't calling anybody that wasn't the only time to be helped me and this is way before i moved them so as the years went by i can comfortably say i would not be here right now if not for c and that's because i mean explain what that means that you wouldn't be here if not for example because of the situation you were in that was that he saved you from or because you wanted to go and do something that he saved you from doing there was multiple situations uh let's just say one of one of the main things was uh i was in california this is uh about 2016. i was turning on to 405 in los angeles and i'll never forget this either i get a phone call and it was it was a conference call there was about six people on the line uh one of them was tv and uh there was sonny perlman and a couple other people and you know the conversation was pretty easy going until tv spoke up and he was like look this is what it is this phone call is specifically for you to understand that if you don't take my advice right now you will die so what does somebody do in that kind of situation i pulled off the highway and i thought about what he's saying and it was a suggestion to go to rehab and i was homeless at the time uh driving around for about two and a half months living in my car in los angeles behind you i'm from brooklyn so you know it was a little rough and uh i took his advice and i would not be here right now without him what makes someone actually internalize that and decide to make some changes because you could have blew him off really easily um it's not every day that i get to speak with sv it's not every day that anybody can get hold of sweet so you know you could always get a hold of him but it's now it's a mood them so i when swede speaks to me directly it's uh you knew it was important you knew it was a severe situation if all these people got together on the phone to get him on the phone to speak with me i mean it's serious so there were a lot of people on that coal who really love you yeah a lot of people on that call who risked you hating them for loving you so much is which is one of the themes we've been discussing since yesterday here with amudem and how did it in fact go i mean once you did enter rehab what was that road like it was it wasn't easy but um let's just say as the years went by i ended up here in the seat married with three kids thank god and uh you know a business it's it's not anywhere close to you know i came here i don't remember what it was it was 2016 that that phone call happened so at the end of 2016 i got to muncie somewhere around and uh it's been quite a roller coaster how did you meet your wife uh my wife i knew from many years before but it was again that also would not have happened if i wasn't in muncie so that escalated from from going being homeless in l.a to and she obviously is familiar with the path you've taken oh yeah definitely she actually was the last one to call to be for me uh the night before my up for it was friday no the morning of before my over friday morning uh i was pulled over and arrested for a warrant for 2013. uh now i'm not going to point fingers or anything but it happens to me to be new about this this specific ticket from 2013. and uh i i got arrested and i i looked at my wife and i said call sweet luck call sonny perlman if you can't get a hold of one or you know make sure you get a hold of somebody and uh i was out right right right when shabbos started i was walking out my wife so we told her he's like he'll be out before shabbat starts and my wife got nervous and decided to call him because shabbos was right like literally just started and she called him you went from that to your roof roof yeah that next morning that's that's pretty wild he promised her i'll be out and i would right now and in fact you were uh what is it like being surrounded by people who care that much about you and to be married to somebody who must stand by you in a way that none of us could understand or appreciate there's no words for that i can't i can't even describe like that the feeling of coming here and speaking to you about it you know is seeing tv is you know the to me is just that that made my night so you know um there's no words for it and what would your parents say if they were here um they they've seen it progress and actually to help my mother go to israel during my both my grandparents past my both my grandfather's passed away during this last year and uh my mother needed to go to israel and that was another another yes it's always cool you know it's david and i just it's i'm with them now you know it's there's no if there's any question related to travel or any i mean it's just danny weissman i have asked people to look into that camera and talk about why it's important to support amudin i'm not going to ask you to do that i'm going to ask you to look in the camera and tell parents who have children in challenging situations tell them something of value tonight i mean again there's no words to describe how grateful i am for a mood him for it to be and what would you say to a parent though as a child in a challenging situation would you encourage them to stick with them would you encourage them to shower with love i i my kids are young it's hard for me to come up with words to tell a child right now but uh i feel like i'm a child myself so i just i would i would definitely put all my trust and you know in in the system the system you build you build it you know trust the love just stick with them you know just be on their side right don't go against them you know stay with them stay with them and and be there at their side what a pleasure to meet you of course uh and uh i don't think people need to hear your pitch they they understand that a mood that was there for you and that they're there for many many others you're not the only situation you're not unique in this danny weissman everybody what can i say uh an incredible story and one thank god with an amazing ending uh and i don't want to say ending with an amazing uh progression um this situation that danny was in and that i moved and helped him with is emblematic it's just one example of what a mood them does on a regular basis to save our youth to save our families to save our communities one by one please give please be as supportive as possible everything you give right now until we get to six million dollars is going to be tripled by generous matchers please donate right now and please help us get to our goal uh dudu fisher is back this time as a soloist it's one of his classic presentations um a given now until the 6 million mark is going to be tripled by generous mattress please give generously please support amudim and please do so asap rabbi benny fisher who is a wonderful friend is the head of my game holland you shall i am a world renowned organization that provides medical support to people in israel and around the globe rabbi fisher doesn't just provide medical referrals but actively helps people navigate the medical system amudim and magenla actively work together to make the impossible possible because there are no borders in a medical crisis rabbi benny fisher shalom and welcome to the show it is so nice to see you it's also nice to be in touch with you and i don't need your services in israel because i think the last couple of times we spoke you actually helped out family members which of course is not a foreign concept for you you're helping everybody um so just so people understand magen la jolla started as a small referral trying to help people organization and really became one of the most important medical referral organizations in israel how did that happen i'm sorry now the case and we are in a rush on the time to help a mudim oh don't talk with me about me please well i was told that my gamer and moved and worked together that's right amudim and magenta work together um i'm ashamed to say um what's happened from where i know it's v yeah i had a private problem when i was in the states uh a medical problem no another time i shamed to say what's happened and i was in a crisis i didn't know what to do i say hashem what i can do who helped me he saved me in a few minutes he find a solution what to do it's i i can't tell you only one word this was something around the jsk airport more than this point i'm i'm ashamed to tell you okay but i was in a panic and i called three it was mamisha angel he saved me and this is the welcome that i know three and a modi uh and now the two organizations when necessary do in fact work together right if there's a situation you can help with when i have a problem i know three and i know i'm with him that's it and and especially the last two years with the kovid with the crisis with people that people need to help to come to israel or to go out from israel to be honest with you the the sensitive address the sensitive place and the 24 7 place was a muddy menswear each problem each family from the states that they have a problem each family that they have a crisis would seek people to come to a level again among him somebody needs to to to have any so many problems the last 24 months okay and i don't see that it didn't end you see i don't know how you got here you know we're a red country i don't know how they let you in i know so i promised you from tomorrow night seville cannot sleep anymore that's it until he gets you back to israel i have a feeling you're not joking about that uh benny fischer is here my guest and and also also um um people who they they have the the problem in the family with drugs with abuse every everyone anyone know exactly what's the problem everyone that watch us at this moment understand to know exactly why a mudim exists and why the america cannot be without a murder everyone know and understand from the whole big spectrum from so many kinds of problems and i have a bigger character for myself from the old people that call to a mudim and especially to sv and this is the time to say to daraba we give you a hand we give you a shoulder we hug you we love you and each one that have the opportunity to to save families children teenagers people young people everything this is the time this is the moment you're listening to one of the experts when it comes to helping people 24 hours a day seven days a week or benny fisher could tell you what it's like to be on the front lines on shabbat and on yomtov in order to help somebody and that's what moodham does of course as well in fact you might say to me why does it always happen friday night right it's always oh it's something happening in fact you've told me stories of things that have happened in yom kippur that you have to be involved with well here i have many stories but now is not the time for stories now is the time to support amudim and benny fischer and i encourage everybody to get i moved into its goal of 6 million you've heard what he has to say any type of problem no matter what it is including life-saving situations for teenagers for young people in our community for families in desperate situations amudim is always there and the travel to israel component you could set that aside as a completely separate service that's been added over the last two years and our modem does really really well and really helps the seminary youngsters uh the seminary ladies and the and the yeshiva boys get to israel and make sure to have a fruitful year in israel but that's a separate uh aspect of what amudham does what they're primarily doing is saving lives and helping families on a daily basis please join rabbi benny fisher of my game la jolla and me nah from seagull and everybody here in our studio and be as generous as possible to make sure that amuddan makes it to the goal six million is now the goal and everything you give is tripled be as generous as you can and make sure to help support amudin and please do it now rabbi benny fisher thank you so much for being here tonight it's one message you made it clear the one message okay simple as that tadara more coming up we have a very special presentation uh we call it the dax family medley you know there are many members of the dax family who are quite talented and have given us so much enjoyment with their incredible music this recall the dax family medley at unite to heal powered by amudin [Music] oh um [Music] um [Music] my [Music] my [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] foreign [Music] oh [Music] i'm [Music] hello [Music] unite to heal is powered by amudim a big thank you to the dax family for that special treat and i can report that we are now at five million three hundred and nineteen thousand dollars getting closer and closer to the new goal of six million dollars everything that you give right now is going to be triple a triple match every dollar is worth three dollars a hundred dollars is 300 etc etc please give generously and get us to the new six million dollar goal our good friend josh mellman is here he is uh founding chairman of the flatbush jewish community coalition that began back in 2010 11 years ago and he is very familiar with amudim and their incredible work a pleasure to welcome you to our studio thank you so it's a pleasure to be here and support amudim i think all my friends everyone should be supporting oblivion they certainly should and i hope they help us get to the goal uh you mentioned to me off the air that it was years ago that you brought svglock to a group of prominent rabbis to discuss some very important topics tell me about that encounter yeah so we have part of our fjcc coalition the flatbush coalition we have over 250 shules and yeshivas in flatbush and almost as much as he said and we were able to we have periodically we make meetings of the rabonim and russia yeshiva from all the prominent yeshivas rabbanim from everyone from the yeshiva community from the sparta community litvish khasidish everyone comes the young israel rabbis everyone's part of it we have we had an incredible meeting back in may 2018 and our main speaker was figuak and he blew the crowd away the rabbanim the khashoggi russia shivers from every yeshiva were there and they were amazed at the work that sri is doing that amudham is doing and i could tell you that it started the conversation going in many different schools many different parts of the community can i assume that some were horrified what do you have to say frankly i mean some very sensitive situations right it was an off the record meeting obviously what was discussed and she was very open and very very forthcoming and there were a lot of very tough discussions and a lot of important questions but a lot of very good things came out of it the flabbish community is grateful to amudin grateful to three glock well the truth is that that conversation either started or was expanded because of that meeting that it was in fact a worthwhile meeting you also said to me that you have a memory of um of when the mirror yeshiva passed away that there was there was necessary intervention for certain things going on what happened then i'll tell you thanks for reminding me about that uh svglock and i go back decades and i've worked with his father many times over the years and watched three growing up and and really replicating and expanding on his father's incredible activities to help clyde israel individuals and the tsibor and the general clough um so he has incredible connections he built relationships with nypd with port authority with city and state governments and federal government authorities which are invaluable not just for our community in flatbush but for kleisthel everyone all around and as we've seen through amudhim in the last covet period what he's accomplished so let me tell you a story um about 13 years ago 2008 um my russia shiva and shimla bear mountain shiva marie shiva passed away was nifter it was a sunday we had a monday morning lavaja early morning levi we had to catch a flight territory we booked probably must be 25 30 people who booked the entire first class action business class action going eric israel all of a sudden we found out that probably a quarter of the family members and some of the rabbis and even business leaders who wanted to come along tamida madurashiva didn't have passports because they were expiring within six months where we couldn't whatever reasons couldn't get on the flight one called svglock and he was incredible i still remember matsushabus i'm sorry sunday night on a sunday night before the night before sv was there in i still remember one of our shiva's homes taking video taking pictures for their passport okay some monday morning that was the emcee at the lavalier and i still remember i was standing up front and hitting runs three glock like a half hour before levi is over with a with a bunch of passports here's the passports for the people getting on the plane today on a sunday night this is what svglock is all about to them and they've been doing it ever since an incredible way i could tell you stories about sv going back is his close friend a good friend for so many years i could tell his stories about sui when i called him up i still remember people thank god hashem the rules have changed and they don't pull over people and take away because they have expired license people's licenses just get expired they got arrested i've had someone in jail calls me up in in flatbush and what are you going to do a prominent person community makes a difference who it is actually a person's in jail and this comes it comes and he was arrested early in the morning for driving he didn't know his license expired they arrested him he doesn't have to fill in in jail it's going to be pestis man day's going on until he gets a judge till they get a hearing until he get out one call it's figlock within an hour it's villain were there kosher food was there that's zwiglock and that's what amudin is based on selflessness and helping the community whether it be a flatbush community or clients or anywhere anywhere please encourage everyone to give and help us get to the goal yes please i encourage all my friends all my relatives everybody who's listening everyone in classroom should pick up the phone or go online and donate whatever you think you've donate tell me then double it amudhim deserves the help needs the help and we encourage you to give as much as you can a big thank you to josh melman and a big thank you to everybody who has been contributing so far we are at 5.325 million dollars and we're trying to get to 6 million as quickly as possible every single donation is going to be tripled every single dimension is going to be tripled until we get to 6 million please give and give generously right now it's uh it's a very very important cause in a very very important final hour this is it this is the final hour of the broadcast and we're asking everybody to please be as generous as possible it is a uh pleasure to welcome on to our uh unto our set rabbi avi kahan rabbi avi gahan is founder and rosh baisden of the best and the rub of congregation khal in new city new york raised in the muncie area and finds himself now active in many very difficult and special situations rabbi gahan has involved in many agunos situations and other complicated matters that amudim and others bring to his attention rabbi avi kahan a pleasure to welcome you to the show thank you so much how are you all right uh how did you become the address for some of the very sensitive situations going on in our community i think it's big luck he did it to you huh when spigluck asks no other answers what to say yeah it's hypocritical to say no to glock it's a very good point actually uh and i mean we i mentioned dog note and everyone obviously knows how sensitive those situations are what else is brought to your desk what are the types of things are going on out there a lot of cases dealing with divorce that has to deal or that that coincides with what a lot of the work that a mudham is doing if it's a case that a couple's getting divorced because of abuse financial abuse emotional abuse mental health awareness um trauma in the family and mood them is usually our go-to place when we discuss what's going on with somebody right i can understand that um sometimes do you want to uh i mean i don't know if it's your job your position your responsibility to counsel people in these situations but sometimes you must sit there wanting to give some harsh words or strong words to people in these situations especially when children are involved you'd love to see them either work things out or go in a different direction does that sometimes become frustrating it becomes frustrating and i'll tell you the truth without a mooding would even be more frustrating and i want to explain why without awareness that there's some deep underlying issues to people's behavior yeah i would look at everyone's behavior at face value right i think a moving board awareness especially to someone like myself or to calisthenial as a whole that whatever you're looking at know this might be some deep horrific story that led to this event i look at a mudim as the software of a lot of people's companies they're the like the the summer the inside of what's going on a lot of us deal with the outside what should we tell them how logically to do do you go to bed and do you go to court with them is bringing the awareness of what's going inside in people's heads and they help everyone and tell everybody where to go and how to guide people based on trauma that's causing people to act in a certain way wow boy that's one way of putting it uh you know why we're here tonight we're here to support our mood we're here to make sure that they have the ability to continue to go strong and to continue to go on uh frankly what would you say to this audience is the reason that they should be so generous and make sure to get us to our goal if they look at many of the things that caulis earl looks at many of the projects that is being are being done and we focus that without a mood them none of those projects would be successful without the awareness of what's going on by people without understanding what kali soul is facing as a whole what individuals are facing most of the beautiful projects that colleagues chose them would not be successful and we owe them a tremendous amount of our karsa to be able to continue in everyone's projects what we're doing for them to be successful you know it's interesting arose president is not always the person we would think of who knows the some of the dark things going on in our community but oh i don't i use a mood i i don't i don't know myself i have to call when i deal with the case and i don't know what the answer is the first address is what could i move them tell me what's going on what could they educate me what can they tell me what's a proper path who's a place that a professional that i should reach out to and i should know they're your law clerk they're the ones they're doing the i think that claudia sells back office they're doing everything for colleagues all in the back end they're telling them where to go what's really could be the issues yeah cloudy soul should be paying a buddha as their back office please help us continue fighting for whatever we're fighting for so when you're faced in a specific situation you simply need to understand it better and in order to understand it better you need an objective uh an objective opinion of people who you know can look at a case and really cop what's happening but they aren't no gaia but over they're not really involved and that's all amazing but amudin takes it to a different level amudham takes that information and it's just so much education and that knowledge is so powerful that we're able to tell people you should face it this way because i'm with them told us that this is what's really going on wow i'll tell you they're your research department frankly they're everything for us unbelievable and they're doing this worldwide i'm sure that people who are making very sensitive halachic decisions like yourself are you know turning to them as well just 100 percent problem 100 it's a complicated world we're in huh yeah and they're making it much less complicated and i think we need to be there to ask them to help us i like concentrating on how complicated it is where my heart says we have to concentrate how much easier they're making it and it's not as complicated as we think you really really really are uh well i appreciate you joining us and hopefully we're going to get to the goal tonight and continued success with all your very holy and important work and i wish everybody success in everything they do and really we really need help at them with them we really need to be there for them no question about it and every dollar i'm sure like kahan agrees with me every dollar is utilized to help the community in whatever way possible to help individuals and families in a very very strong supportive manner and now we need you to respond in a strong supportive manner by giving as generously as you can add to our total we're at 5 million 343 000 add to our total help us get to 6 million everything you give now is being tripled match uh this video some would say it's a psa if you will is produced by amudim and yishai gross the name of it what could we have done watch it carefully as we continue at unite to heal 2021 powered by a [Music] muding um yes this is my family they're in so much pain [Music] so full of unimaginable hurt and grief and they're grieving for me and underneath it they're all wondering the same thing what could we have done could we have helped him more could we have been better educated could he have been could that have stopped him from overdosing [Music] are they wondering about that night the night i died after taking almost a full bottle of oxycodone because it was the only way for me to get the high i needed could narcan training have saved me what if they could have counteracted my overdose and restored my breathing so i could have gotten life-saving medical care [Music] what if our shoes in our communities were better prepared to deal with kids like me who are struggling or maybe a couple of weeks ago when my addiction had become so intense i was taking a handful of pills almost every two hours because taking fewer wasn't working anymore it wasn't only about me getting high it was about keeping myself from getting sick maybe someone could have helped me then excuse me i was so lost in my addiction that i was barely home anymore i'd isolated myself from my family weeks before that i was hanging out with my new friends yes i passed out but at that moment their acceptance was exactly what i needed did my parents try to get through to me in the only way they knew how maybe i was no longer able to hear them or before that when i started to do so poorly in school i tried so hard but i was always in so much pain that i just couldn't learn anymore what about when i stopped hanging out with my friends or when i bought my first batch of pills online from an illegal pharmacy or when i acted erratically right and we were talking in class you guys and would have highs and lows did you know what would happen next is anyone wondering about that or when i began stealing pills from family and friends because i had gotten addicted [Music] or the very first time i tried oxy with my friend david who never got addicted maybe because he wasn't carrying around the feelings that i was carrying around the feelings about what happened to me years ago the shame and agony i felt feelings i locked away i felt like i was the only one in pain was i did you know something was bothering me if i'd spoken up and come to you would you have believed me would you have accepted me or would my pain have been ignored was it all just too hard for everyone to deal with what could i have done what could you have done what could we have done [Music] what could i have done it's a question and one that was answered powerfully in that video one of the things we could do right now is support amudin keep them strong give them a great start to 2022 make sure to reach the 6 million goal right now 5 million 350 000. 5 million 350 000 we're trying to get to 6 million by the end of this broadcast every single dollar is tripled right now between now and the six million dollar goal please we're asking everybody out there to be generous we're asking everybody to contact family and friends and support amudim on this very very important night well if there's somebody who knows amudim up close and personal it's aviva gluck whose husband has the uh incredible honor i think he would say of leading this organization and you have the incredible honor of no doubt uh contributing a whole lot uh to make sure our modem continues to flourish welcome to the show thank you thank you what are your impressions that now this year the first goal has been met um i can say that my husband's a lot calmer than he was last year and in the last few years it took us longer to meet our goal in the last few years so i like his demeanor this year a little bit better um one thing that i do have to say even though the goal was set at five million and we are going into the bonus round of six the projected uh budget for next year is over eight million so even when this is over the fundraising continues and that's something that i think everybody has to remember yeah we mentioned that toward the beginning of this broadcast yesterday and reminded everyone that even with all this generosity it doesn't get moved into the place they need to be every single year with that annual budget as you mentioned uh you've seen a lot there's a lot that uh moody deals with on a regular basis i think anybody who's been watching this this broadcast for any part of these 35 plus hours so far uh knows that our mood is involved in a lot of things is there anything specific that you want to bring to this audience's attention any specific type of situation where they might not be aware just how a mood helps families out there um well first of all i do want to give a shout out to my kids lacey mj mosey and penny um people say i'm the woman behind the man but it's also my kids they get a lot of credit um my husband actually had an emergency uh on shabbos hanukkah uh right before shabbos he got a phone call a man was dying in our dystroil and needed a certain stem cell treatment brought to eredustral and he um not only did it needed to get there he needed somebody that had the ability to go hashem a week before he had gotten approved to get a work visa to go to israel and this enabled him to be able for him himself to make the trip he did a flight i think he was out of the country for about 36 hours and on the last night of hanukkah we were on the way to my in-laws to crown height to bar park and we were driving through crown heights and we happened by grand army plaza and we stopped to watch the mineral lighting there and as we pulled away on the way to my in-laws the song came on from miami boys choir uh komisha oscar bourbon and i explained to my kids that just like tati gets har for helping everybody that they also get this far so i think that that is very important to remember that we're all a part of this and you would say that to any family whose parents are involved and infested constantly all of the amudim families all of the people that are giving every penny counts i was saying before my daughter's been fundraising like crazy this whole day today even though she's sick with the flu at home and i feel that the smaller amounts are almost as important as the bigger amounts people that give five dollars are just as important as the people that give ten thousand dollars what's it like watching all the different things fall into place when one of these miraculous stories happen you must say to yourself this is impossible how is it that just the guy that needed to be in this city at that time and go to that place at that time it all worked out it's crazy living life next at speeglah has been an adventure uh we're coming up on 19 years together and it's an incredible adventure and i wouldn't have it any other way somebody recently asked me what made sv start amudim and i said because he's amidst the man but he's been doing amudim since i met him right it's just wasn't i moved him right just always always involved in these types of activities and is there one specific aside from the stem cell one which in and of itself is remarkable and miraculous is there another one where you said to yourself i cannot believe that everything just fell into place and everything happened like it had to happen i don't remember the exact details about it but there was a time that spee was on a plane somewhere and at the time dave kushner was not working for him and his phones used to forward to me when he was on a plane wow and um it just so happened that the person that i needed help to get this another person help um sve had just asked me to call this person a week earlier i didn't have phone numbers saved on my phone until a week earlier i don't remember what the emergency was but i was able to help them just from being you know tv says his famous line he has two things his father didn't have he had a teacher to teach him what to do and he had somebody to say um he could call up and say i'm a big luck's son so i was able to say i'm rebecca luck's wife can you do me this favor so i know that that went a long way it uh aviva gluck please remind everybody that we i'm gonna include myself at amudim need to have a very strong year ahead and need to reach our new goal of six million dollars it the new goal and pass the new goal keep going everybody keep the money coming in what a pleasure to have you here tonight to speak with you about all this thank you so much continued blessings to you and your family i mean i mean thank you aviva everybody we've got we've got a very very special video next if you were watching in the first hour yesterday you're already familiar with this video and i have predicted that this video will go viral and yummy schachter of charity vids has predicted that this video is going to save lives ali schwabel wrote this song performed this song and is the star of this video it's called i will stand for you and it really is a tremendous symbol of what amudim is all about please continue to give unitedhill.com powered by amudin [Music] i can see it in your eyes there was something you were hiding you were holding deep inside you were fighting on your own [Music] all the nights you went to bed undercovers you were crying with his words inside your head he stole your innocence [Music] so when you feel like home is lost and you don't know where to go oh too cold i will stand for you we can face the world together if we raise our voice and make the choice to learn to live again i will stand for you when you need me more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way through i will stand for you [Music] you had troubles on your mind at the bottom of the bottle you left them all behind you send your would surrender all you needed was more time but the days turned to years and your promise turned to lies [Music] so when you feel like home is lost and you don't know where to go [Music] to learn to when you need me more than ever [Music] i will [Music] and i love you enough for you to hate me for this i will stand for you we can face the world together if we raise our voice and make the choice to learn to live again i will stand for you when you need me more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way through we will stand for you [Music] very powerful video very powerful song thank you to ellie schwabel those of you out there who have heard the quote that that song is going to save lives i think it's one we can certainly agree with speaking of saving lives every dollar you give help saves lives giving to our muddin supporting amudim's work helps saves lives and right now 5 million 360 000 is where we're at 5 million 360 000 we're trying to get to 6 million dollars by the top of the hour can you help us do it i think you can and i think you will so please everything you give right now is tripled every single dollar is triple matched three times a hundred bucks is really 300 please do the math understand just how much you're giving every time you give a donation and help us get to the bonus round goal of six million dollars sv gluck is back on set he's of course the founder of amudim on this very special night where we get to thank people around the world for being there for amudim and uh it's funny earlier in the in the show we were talking with different guests about things that happened this year that were added to the amudim repertoire so to speak and one of our board members one of the amudin board members said that every time sweet comes with a new project or tells us about a new angle that's happening in our community uh the the project's already going then he comes to the board and says look we have no choice we have to undertake this and we certainly have to fund it do you find that on a regular basis there are new initiatives that need to be introduced under the amudha umbrella so the answer is it's not exactly true that means i might have a good plan and ideas of how to do it but i am proud to say that we really don't make any moves without the board actually voting on things and approving things and they don't always approve everything i want i i will say that interesting sometimes i got to twist some arms but i will say that before i talk about the new initiatives i just need to take one second and say a very big thank you to the guiding light of amudham the beacon of amudham and the force behind amudhum mehndi klein sakharina lavraka who together with maishi wolfson forced me into the creation of a mudim this was after laser shriner pushed me to get into an organizational setup and then you know mehndi came into my life and there was a lot of very interesting siata desmaya stories and i have to say that i had this even with all that's going on but i had to run territorial a few times for different emergencies to go to mendy's cave and to really dive in that this year should be a success this fundraising campaign and and i have to say that i'm if you remember last year versus this year and i'm a lot more calm and relaxed and i really want to say i really hope that uh i did mendy proud speaking on that angle mandy taught me a very very valuable lesson very often it's better to ask forgiveness than permission sometimes in life you got to take the initiative and do things and sometimes you got to go the other way as far as new programming so we very much try to stay focused on what we do you know the three core areas of ammunition the clinical case management which we spoke about both on the radio and a little bit uh when we started the campaign the awareness component the psa videos things of that nature which you know you just played our newest psa video and the educational the preventative programmings so we try very hard to stay focused within those three areas however we have to be realistic and when the entire world is in crisis and there are different needs that come up sometimes people have to take that plunge and do it and as we heard dr zimmerman say earlier he was originally like livid at the concept of starting a support line you know what he forgot to mention is i first tried getting everyone else to do it and you know oh we can't it's too expensive it's to this meanwhile the calls are ringing off the hook what are you going to do you got to do something but at the same time there's also a very big discipline in the amudim family which is when the call started slowing down and the need for that type of support launch don't get me wrong there's definitely a need for a crisis support line in the from community but the need for what we were doing and that system was no longer there we shut it down and people came to me saying why don't you keep it open you could raise more money if you have it grants foundations salamudem doesn't do projects to raise money we raise money so we can do what we need to do right so there's also a very big discipline there so it's not just a question of saying there are new initiatives there's always talk of of doing things better upgrading our software upgrading our security the database administration hiring more staff you know that's i mean probably the the biggest thing that we really desperately need is to add more staff to the teams you know being able to do more preventative programmings you know we like to stay focused on the car but yes when there are other issues or needs that arise and it has to be undertaken we're not scared to do it you have to employ people excuse me you have people at the ready who have real expertise especially when it comes to therapists and people with uh with true expertise in very sensitive areas that must be an expense in and of itself just to be able to have that type of access to professionals who you know deserve to be paid for the type of service and skills they have and i'm the first one to admit that however much we pay them is not enough um revellia britney came to the office a few weeks ago just to speak to the staff to give them some physic so beautiful i got to show you the video after the show was beautiful um and he said it there too he goes everybody here could probably get a job that pays you more someplace else the people that are with them the staff at them regardless of what their job is and i will say this zero exaggeration here are really doing their job because it's a life calling it doesn't matter what position they have there but the answer is yes when we switched over and only started hiring mental health professionals as case managers originally people were saying why would you spend that much money you know you should you can hire people for much less train them in and we said no the difference between having somebody with a mental health degree with a background with experience and them being that quarterback for the family in their most difficult time of need is such a big difference compared to the concept of just training somebody in now don't get me wrong there's a lot of training involved i mean you know and a lot of people pick a certain expertise case managers at amudham don't have that luxury they got to be well versed with addiction with substance abuse with sexual abuse with you know all different types of you know related addictions in today we have digital whether it's technology and then dealing with issues of suicidality eating disorder self-harm they don't have the luxury of having a specific specialty but we have the luxury of having the greatest team in the world and i say that across the board whether it's inaudible whether it's here we're just blessed with people that really really care and that's the difference the team needs support now look right now we're at five million three hundred and seventy seven thousand five million three hundred and seventy seven thousand we're asking everybody to help our mood help now to get to the goal of six million everything you do everything you donate right now everything you pledge donate is uh is tripled it's three times the amount so please be as generous as you can hit that donate button how about mood and get to the six million dollar goal you mentioned some names of lay leaders some past and some present um what what encourages them to get involved is it as they they come across a specific situation or a kid in their family or neighborhood who needs some help or some are just you know become aware of what you do and they become enthralled with it i think really um it's more of of the latter you know barak hashem we have a very very very strong leadership at amudim and it's really people that just care i mean people with heart you know our board members are you know a variety from finance people business people attorneys accountants you know people that were in hedge funds to people that you know were patent attorneys and it's really we have a very very very strong leadership and we also have a very very strong clinical board and you know we're blessed with that because they really care you know it's it's one of those things where you can't be involved in a museum if you're not feeling it they want to alleviate some of the pain that's out there more importantly is they feel the pain that's out there so that they can alleviate it because it's not just there's no glory you know a lot of organizations there's a lot of glory involved oh i'm on the border i'm with them there's no it's there's no fanfare it's just you know one of those things where you really have to be in the trenches and and that's also very important because the staff also if they feel that and they realize that that the board members they really care and that really makes a very big difference to me the top of the hour will be in about 15 minutes you see the numbers like i do we're just under 5 million four hundred thousand can we get to the goal of six million in the next few minutes you know that famous loin that uh i forget which rabbi it was that went out to the podium and he says you know i got good news and i got bad news the good news is we have all the money we need to build the new shule the bad news is it's still sitting in your pockets could we do it we absolutely could there are definitely people out there that are watching who can literally take out a credit card right here right now and plop down decent money real money so that we can continue doing what we do but i've learned something it's all up to god there's really nothing we can do and you know what people have this house to help amudham and to be a part of that life-saving operation that's amazing other people have other causes that are important to them i'm not here to judge what causes people give to i don't think there's any greater cause than amudham but that's a separate discussion but i think we could get to it and i'll tell you something we're going to keep the site live anyway people can still donate even after it's over there may not be a match which is okay and i will reach out to some of the donors and see if they're willing to let the match go late i don't know if they will or whatever difficult process considering the way the bonus round matchers came into place it might be because i think it was more like you know we don't think you'll make it to five so if you make it to five you'll get the six it was one of those like putting on those challenges although i will say i we did beat every bar in expectation over this campaign and that's a real testament to everybody involved i mean yummy and the team and dove and gabi and just you know they really i mean forget about what we when i did i did not step up to the plate my part the way i really should have and i want to take this opportunity and actually say i'm sorry to the people that were part of the production crew because i had a lot going on in my life and i was not able to devote my hundred percent it looks like 100 is that interesting well they still pulled it off and you know nikki and sippy and zoe and everybody just really we just had a lot of people who just did great work and it's just it's amazing to be where we're at well that's for sure and also one second i forgot we have to have you know my resident i'm scared to say his name because he's going to yell at me so i'm just going to say danny that's it i'm not going to say anything further danny thank you danny we leave it at that the number right now is 5 million 383 000. i'm a little concerned about what speed just said it's possible the matchers won't be as enthusiastic after 9 00 pm eastern time as they are right now so let's get those matchers to really have to cough up some of that money on behalf of our mood we're saying it to you straight we've told you since yesterday that speedgluck talks and says it's straight to everybody it's because you say things straight that now the community is actually talking about issues we should have been talking about a long time ago so i thank you on behalf of the community for that but i thank you because you were the first to ever bring me onto radio when we first started and you know it was risky and i remember we had our first topic and you were like you know what we're gonna do it i don't know if you remember that or not right well i do recollect that there was a discussion you and i before that appearance exactly how it should be handled and isn't it funny that we're at this stage today where people are so desperate for help uh for for fellow jews out there that they're willing to discuss anything if they think the end is going to be a positive end absolutely so for that uh the number is 5 000 386 000 it's not moving quickly enough for us i don't care if i spend the next 15 minutes just pleading with everybody out there to get us to 6 million this is the last quarter hour this is it this is the time the 11th hour or the 36th hour as we say in this business this is the time for everybody to come forward and make sure our mood has what they need could we at least in the next few minutes get over the five million four hundred thousand dollar mark and then we'll move to the next one please everything you're giving is tripled right now speed luck and everybody here would love to see great success for this campaign we've had success so far boro hashem now we'd like to see great success sv just mentioned that the website's going to be live for as long as it takes to get to the goal and beyond and why not we want people to be able to donate uh whenever they have an opportunity but also remember as yummy schachter said earlier that all of the amazing features and they've been so many of them great panel discussions interviewers with great interviewees great game shows including you trying to make your way through an interesting menu holy and squares rabbi goldberg with roshner which was an unbelievable piece and so many others all of those are going to be available tomorrow on the website so if you missed something live because all of it was presented in 36 hours straight if you missed anything live you'll be able to go back like people did this past year and see all of these amazing performances the music videos and so much more so it's all going to be there it's all going to be there for you to devour as great content for that alone please give what you can and help us get to our new goal we are now at another hurdle five million three hundred and ninety thousand five million three hundred and ninety thousand give what you can everything will be tripled and we wanna make sure our mood gets to its new goal of six million dollars i feel that for the next 12 minutes we really should just beg and plead with people who are watching around the world because every single dollar is utilized to help save lives and if every single dollar is being utilized to help save lives we want to collect as many of those dollars as possible so please everybody give and give generously we still have and i think we're gonna go to the medley first before we do our closing right we're gonna go to medley first joey newcomb has put together something very special you must be i don't know if you've had a chance to stop for a minute and see what has been presented over the last 36 hours but you must be very proud about what amudham has gathered with charity bids to present to everybody so i'm extremely proud and i i gotta say you know last year i everybody thought we were all crazy and i thought yummy was nuts and there's no way this is gonna happen i gotta be honest and then when we started talking about it this year i was like listen if it ain't broke don't fix it give everybody something to enjoy whether it's a musical segment a topic of discussion a panel discussion game shows let's do something for everybody and you know what i think the numbers speak for itself we had well over a half a million viewers before this morning i didn't run all the numbers again when yummy was on earlier in this show he said that that number has already exceeded 700 000 which is amazing he would know better than i would so yeah and obviously it's gonna get much higher and i will say something else the uh ellie schwabel's uh music video like it's not gonna save lives it already has saved lives and i can attest to that at least three since friday when i had to play it for someone on a sneak preview well that i heard about so and that was truly a life-saving situation but there's been two other episodes there have been two more people that have reached out that they heard that song and reached out because of the song so ellie great job in other words they never would have taken that stuff at least in their mind they never would have taken that stuff that was the uh straw that broke the camel's back let's call it pretty amazing tipping point pretty amazing yeah uh it's v well i'm gonna say mazel tov we may not be at the bonus goal yet but you know it's coming soon enough hopefully we we've passed our goal if you remember last year this time i was sitting here talking to you while i was texting people saying we need more money it was a challenging situation this year went a little bit smoother before we do our actual closing and before we thank everybody around the world on behalf of our mood them we are going to present yet another video yet another original presentation um such great content that we've had over the last 36 hours this is a great way to end uh that whole category joey newcomb with something he calls the joey medley here it is had a time to heal 2021 powered by amudim [Music] hashem will pay you back [Music] [Applause] [Music] what you [Music] me [Music] will pay you back [Music] is [Music] is foreign [Music] is [Music] oh no but if you're gonna know [Music] me [Music] thank you foreign [Music] well thank you very much joey newcomb for that incredible joey medley i think we can call it an amudda medley frankly uh we have just exceeded five million four hundred thousand on the way to six million remember the website's gonna be live you'll be able to see all of the content starting tomorrow but tonight even after we leave the air the website's going to be live for you to donate at unite2heel.com i was told that i misidentified the site earlier so it's unite to heal.com help get us to the goal right now in the next five minutes in the next five minutes everything you give is being triple matched for that alone you should try to give right now and get us as close as possible to five and a half million and eventually to the six million dollar mark i want to thank the incredible production team here what a great show thanks everybody who's working all the equipment and all the wonderful people that we've worked with again uh this year at flow motion studios in brooklyn new york i want to thank doe for his incredible assistance i want to thank nsn's own miriam wallock for a great producing and i want to thank everybody i moved them for inviting me and all of us here to take part in this very special occasion thank you to svgluck thank you to the entire staff and all the wonderful volunteers to all the professionals that are helping incredibly helping families and individuals especially the young people navigate very delicate situations thank you thank you thank you and to all of our donors you heard thousands of people have donated so far during this fundraiser and we have exceeded five million four hundred and one thousand dollars and you know the goal the goal is six million and we can attain that goal and we will attain that goal may take a few days but it's going to happen but right now we are celebrating the fact that our initial goal has been made and that the unite to heal websites going to be active to take your donations and for you to enjoy all the great content brought to you by charity bids over the last 36 hours right now everybody if you have not yet done so you literally have a couple of minutes left to take advantage of the offer by the generous matchers and donors of amudin three times one that's what the equation is right now every time you give a dollar you give three dollars to amudim so if this moment you would give a hundred dollars you'd be giving 300 at this moment if you gave a thousand dollars you'd be giving 3 000. use the opportunity in this final minute before we leave the air to give to amudhim to give as generously as possible and keep amudim going this has been 36 amazing hours and i thank all of you for tuning in thanks so much for making this a success for amudim let us continue to support amudin and to help families individuals and our jewish youth
