your story about about calling um a therapist to say is this a normal reaction? Many years ago someone in the community had had taken their own life and people didn't know that. And and I did and I'll never forget to this moment um officiating the funeral and looking down at them and thinking in my mind what the rest of the people gathered had no idea but essentially like how how could you do this to your children, to your wife? Understanding obviously it's the result of of mental illness with no judgement but I was a much younger rabbi who had much less understanding of those issues then and and I was haunted haunted by that question and haunted like how how could this happen? How could he do this? And I spoke to a professional and I think it's important to take away the stigma to say that we support and we believe in it. And they said to me, "If you could understand it, you'd be capable of it. The fact that you can't understand it is is actually a reflection of you being healthy." And so stop trying to understand or explain or relate to it um in that way. And that that was enormously helpful to me.
