Maybe it just hasn’t landed yet.
Sometimes our small, encouraging comments plant seeds of hope, and we don’t even realize it. And one day, when they’re ready and need it most, those words are still there, waiting for them. So when it feels like nothing we’ve said is making much of a difference, we can find comfort in knowing: Maybe it just hasn’t landed yet. Our Mental Health First Aid Overview is free and open to everyone. 👉 https://amudim.org/mhfa-training/

Do not underestimate the power of
planting a seed. So, you drop a comment
like "So-and-so had an amazing
experience with this mental health
professional. They were really
skeptical. Anyway, the cleaners are
about to close. I'm running out. I'll be
back soon." [music] It's planting a
seed. You're not Right, when you plant a
seed, you dig a little hole, you put the
seed in, [music] you put the dirt back,
and it's as if nothing ever happened
when you look back down at the ground.
But, eventually, all of a sudden,
something blossoms. You don't know when
the thing is going to blossom. And that
has been something that I've told
parents over the years that's been very
helpful to parents dealing with a
difficult situation with their children.
Where they feel like "What could I do?
They're not listening to anything." And
then you think to [music] yourself
"Wait. No, I'm doing something by
planting these seeds. I just don't know
when it'll take effect."
